Read and Review.
It was pointless for everyone to be there at once. Xemnas presented the organization to Sora and for a moment the brunette actually looked overwhelmed. There were so many of them and only one of him. While the others laughed evilly (how lame could this get) Xion watched Sora's face. He stared up at all of the cloaked figures and his gaze stopped for a moment when he spotted the smallest of them.
He recalled what the girl had said to him. Not all of them were bad. He found a renewed sense of confidence as he thought of how many of the Nobodies would switch sides once he started fighting. A smirk formed on his lips and prepared himself for the fight with the enemy.
Right here. Right now.
Xion wanted to hit the kid over the head. She could practically see the wheels turning in his head. He was confident that he would win in a fight against Xemnas and the others. If he thought she was going to defend him in that fight then he was downright crazy.
Before he could get the fight he wanted, the organization disbanded. Xion and Xigbar didn't go far. Sora and his friends raced for the stairs so that they could follow after Xemnas, not knowing that they wouldn't find him there no matter how hard they looked.
Xigbar cut them off before they could get anywhere. While he bantered with Sora, Xion relocated herself behind Sora and his group. She stood far enough back, hiding herself just around the corner. She wasn't really paying attention to the conversation until she heard an especially obnoxious laugh from Xigbar.
"That's RIGHT, he use to give me that same exact look."
Xion clenched her fist when Xigbar attempted to mention Roxas openly in front of Sora. The kid wasn't getting it. He didn't remember anything and odds were that he never would.
"I guess you think you can psych me out by saying really random stuff!" Sora shouted in an attempt to push passed his confusion.
"Gee… I just don't know." Xigbar muttered, raising his arms out to the side in a grand gesture that invited Sora to attack. Xion rolled her eyes at the stupidity.
Silence followed and Xion was sure that Sora would start his attack. Nothing happened though and nothing continued to happen until Xigbar lowered his arms to his sides. "Be a good boy now!" Xigbar called as a portal consumed him.
Xion understood what Xigbar was doing. The floor was now hers. She might as well make this performance better than the last. Harassing Sora seemed like a useless task but hey, maybe the kid had heard something about Ax-… She didn't let herself finish the thought. Tears were the last thing she needed right now.
"…Only one me." Sora declared to his friends. She sighed deeply.
"Yes and you wouldn't believe how much damage has been done to ensure that it stays that way." She announced. She stepped from around the corner and leaned against the wall with her arms crossed. Sora and his friends jumped but the keyblade wielder smiled when he remembered who she was. She pulled her hood off so he could see her face for the first time and returned his smile with a slight smirk.
"What do you mean by that?" Sora asked. Xion shook her head and laughed softly. "Yeah, so much damage and you don't even have a clue. How sad is that?" She muttered. Sora glared at her. "What are you even talking about?!" He growled, literally growled, at her. She shook her head and decided to brush the subject off.
"Have you seen any sign of that guy I asked you about?" She asked nonchalantly. Sora glared at her, recognizing that she had just side stepped his question. "No, we haven't." He answered through clenched teeth. She shrugged her shoulders and pretended that didn't bother her.
"What is your deal? What's going on here and why are you running around with Organization 13 if you said you were a friend?" Sora asked impatiently. Xion's smirk grew a little more pronounced as she thought about his questions.
"I like your new outfit." She replied. There it goes: another side stepped question. Sora looked ready to explode.
"Do you ever answer anybodies questions?!" She thought about it and realized that she really didn't. She only ever answered questions for nobodies. Xion mentally slapped herself for the dumb joke. Instead of saying any of that, a sigh escaped her lips. "If you asked questions that mattered, then maybe I'd answer them. You'll figure things out on your own, Sora. I can't carry you through all of this. I have my own mess to clean up. Why don't you get working on yours?" Sora looked almost offended. He didn't even know what his "mess" was.
"But…" Sora's protest was silenced by a wave of Xion's hand. "Sorry I don't have time for that. I need to go, but I do have one thing to tell you. Riku never gave up on you while you were asleep so don't give up on him." Xion pulled her hood back on and a portal formed to her right. Sora stepped forward; ready to stop her so he could ask her more about Riku.
"Wait! I still don't even know your name!" He shouted so that she could hear him over the sound of the swirling portal right next to her. She could already feel the darkness swirl around her side. She smiled at him, though he couldn't see it now. She took a step into the portal and called her name back to him.
"Xion." He repeated in a whisper. The portal faded and Sora continued to stare at the spot where he had last seen the black haired girl. Donald and Goofy, who had been silent up to this point as they tried to figure out what was going on, exchanged a confused look. Donald broke the silence that had descended by hitting Sora over the head.
"What was that for?" He demanded of his friend. "What just happened?" Donald squawked back. Sora rubbed his sore head and glanced back to where the portal had disappeared.
"She's…" Sora didn't know how to finish the sentence. "She looked like one of the bad guys." Goofy said. Sora shook his head quickly. "No way! She said she was a friend and I believe her. Besides, she's searching for a friend too. I think she might end up helping us." Sora suggested. Goofy and Donald looked doubtful. When they didn't say anything to argue, Sora folded his arms over his chest and grinned in triumph.
He just had a feeling about that girl. Something seemed really familiar about her and he couldn't place his finger on it. With a shrug and a shake of his head he decided to wait until later to figure it out.
The conversation about Xion was put aside as Sora's Hallow Bastion Restoration Committee Membership card started to glow.
Xion had moved on to her mission after speaking with Sora. She finished off the last of the heartless in the Ravine Trail and felt exhausted. Sora hadn't traveled this far down during his visit and that left the rest of the little monsters for her to destroy.
The encounter with Sora wasn't what she had been hoping for. She defiantly hadn't stuck to the script either. Xemnas would be disappointed.
Banishing her keyblade, Xion wiped her sweaty forehead with her sleeve. She finished her mission quickly in order to spend the rest of the time looking for him in secret, but now she just didn't feel like it.
With a sigh she turned around to open a portal and RTC.
She turned and ran straight into the outstretched hand of a cloaked organization member. The hand locked around her throat and lifted her off her feet. Her back met the face of one of the nearest cliff walls. The figure in the organization coat held her against the wall and squeezed her throat harder when she attempted to shout at him. In order to ease the pain, Xion brought her hands up and gripped the figure's wrists as tightly as she could.
Axel?
Way too long to update? I would say yeah probably. Sorry...?
