Thank you for reading this story. I have loved writing it and uploading it when able. Things have been crazy since graduating. Now I'm trying to find a job and that is taking all of my time. Thank you for keeping with it. I really appreciate the reviews and love. :)
Rachel woke up to find herself in Finn's bed wrapped in his arms. She had never slept better or felt as content as she did.
She leaned over and kissed Finn's cheek. He smiled and said, "You are still here."
"Yeah. We must have fallen asleep watching the movie last night."
"Did you sleep well?"
"Very much so. I'm looking forward to when I get to do this every night. I can't wait until we can do that all the time."
"Neither can I. I look forward to going to sleep with you in my arms every night and waking up to your beautiful face every day."
"You are full of it. Just three more months."
"Three of the longest months of my life."
"Well, you have Tatum's birthday next month to keep you occupied."
"I can't believe she is going to be four. It just seems so unreal. It was just yesterday that I was a terrified 18 year old getting ready to take care of a baby. I had no idea what I was doing."
"You are a pro now. Tatum is one lucky little girl to have a dad that loves her that much."
Finn smiled. "The two of us are lucky to have someone that loves us that doesn't have to."
"I would not change a thing."
Before either of them could say anything they heard the sound of little feet coming at them. Tatum came sprinting in the room and jumped on the bed. She exclaimed, "Mommy! You are here!"
Rachel chuckled and said, "I sure am, sweet pea."
Finn told Tatum, "When Rachie and I get married she is going to be living with us ALL the time."
"Yay!"
Finn laughed. "I know! It's exciting, huh? But that means that we are going to be moving somewhere else."
"No live with nana and pops?"
"No, we won't be living with nana and pops any more. But we will still see them all the time. You will get to stay with nana during the day just like you always have."
"Oh. Good."
Rachel smiled. "Things are going to change some. I will be living with you all the time, your daddy and I will be sharing a room and you will get your own room that we can decorate in any way that you want."
"Owls?"
"You want an owl room? You don't want a princess room?"
Tatum shook her head. "Owls!"
Finn laughed. "Then it is an owl room that you will get."
Finn and Tatum's stomachs started to growl together. Rachel chuckled at the two Hudsons.
She said, "It sounds like we need to feed my two favorite people. I need to be heading back to my apartment. I'm sure Santana is worried about me."
Tatum wrapped her arms around Rachel's neck. "Mommy! Don't go!"
Rachel said, "I have to put on new clothes. I can't wear the clothes I wore yesterday. I'll be stinky! Yuck!"
Tatum laughed. "You smell pretty."
Finn laughed with her. "I agree with Little T. You smell just fine. Let's go have breakfast and go from there."
The three of them went downstairs. Carole smiled at the three of them as they walked in the kitchen.
Rachel automatically apologized, "I am so sorry that I fell asleep last night. I had every intention of going home, but we watched a movie and I was out."
Carole smiled. "You are fine. I'm glad you stayed rather than driving tired."
Finn asked, "Mom, do you think you could watch Tate for a little bit today? Rach and I need to start apartment hunting."
"Of course. I would love to have an afternoon with my favorite granddaughter. With you and Rachel being off school until next week I haven't gotten much time with my favorite girl."
Tatum told Carole, "When mommy and daddy get married we won't live here no more."
Carole told her, "I know, baby, but I'll still watch you in the day. And I'll still make dinner for you, daddy and Rachel every once in a while. You will see me and pops all the time. No need to worry, princess."
"In fact, I'm going to call pops and see if he wants to spend the day with the two of us." Tatum smiled from ear to ear.
Rachel and Finn had gone to her apartment so she could change clothes. Then they were off to look at affordable two bedroom apartments.
Finn said, "This crazy. I never would have thought a year ago that I would be apartment hunting with someone other than my daughter."
Rachel smiled. "I'm so glad I get to do this with you."
Rachel and Finn found the perfect apartment. It was a mile from Carol and Burt. It was also only a mile from Lucy and John. It was in the perfect location for them.
They put their first month payment down. Then they decided that Finn and Tatum would move in the next week and start making it home. It would be harder to get Tatum accustomed to things than it would either of the two adults. They wanted to make things as easy for her as they could.
