A/N- Takes place after the Final Battle. I've read a couple fics in which the Order had completely obliviated Harry and Hermione and were pushing them into a life that the Order wanted, thus obliviating the relationship that was decidedly more than just friends. This is my take on it.
Disclaimer- I do not own Harry Potter or an IP relating to it. I'm just playing around here for free (that means I make no money from this fic).
Harry James Potter climbed up the steps of his former dormitory and collapsed on the bed on his stomach. The silence was pleasant. He was almost asleep when he heard the door open and a whispered, "Harry?"
He turned onto his side to see Hermione closing the door behind her and putting up spells for privacy and to prevent eavesdroppers. "Is something wrong Hermione? Are you hurt?"
"No, nothing like that," she moved to his bed and stretched across it to lie next to him, "Harry…I…do you have that super wand still?"
"Yes," he pulled it from his back pocket and showed it to her, "Why?"
"Don't you think how we acted toward each other and others in our sixth year seems…weird? Especially when you consider how close we've been this past year."
Harry gazed at Hermione for a moment. She was so beautiful. "So you think something happened to us?" He asked. Hermione nodded. Harry pointed the wand between them and mumbled, "Finite Incantatum." The memories rushed back to him. He and Hermione's first kiss; their first date; their first snog; his proposal to her; their first time making love; and at the end of each of those memories, and so many others, was someone from the Order with a wand and a quick obliviate. As soon as they settled he gazed at Hermione and the two closed the distance to kiss one another, "I think I'm going to have to murder the Order now."
"Just shut up and kiss me Harry. Revenge can wait until tomorrow." He obeyed, enjoying their kiss. Hermione cast contraception charms on them both as he tossed his shirt across the room and slid out of his jeans. Helping Hermione undress left Harry breathless. She was so incredibly beautiful and he found himself lost in thought as they became one in his bed. Harry silently vowed that anyone who disturbed them tonight would be met with powerful curses as he and Hermione rediscovered the love and the passion they had for one another.
The next morning Harry woke in his four-poster bed in Hogwarts, nude and tangled up with his very nude fiancée. The bedsheets were completely tangled up. He summoned the blanket to cover them and felt Hermione snuggle closer to him. "I am very glad to be one of those guys who can go multiple times," he said softly.
"I'm glad you are too," she sighed, leaning up to gently kiss him on the lips, "last night was amazing Harry."
"I think so too," he rubbed her back with his hand. Her skin was so delightfully soft; although it was apparent that they both needed to be on a diet of more than mushrooms and berries. Harry figured he'd probably lost 15-25 pounds this past year, and Hermione looked like she'd lost the same. "Want to shower with me?"
"That sounds good," she looked at the clothes scattered around the room, "Harry we made a mess."
"I had one focus," he grinned, "get you naked."
"Well you certainly managed that," she kissed him before getting up out of bed, "shower, breakfast, and then revenge."
"I like the way you think," he got out of the bed and let her pull him into the bathroom, noting that her hand was around his penis instead of his hands or arms. He liked that. His recently restored memories made him quite aware that he and Hermione's relationship was intense. It amazed him that they hadn't noticed before last night, "Hermione what made you think we were having memories removed?"
She turned the shower on and turned back to face him, "While I was fighting Bellatrix she taunted me that Voldemort had killed my fiancée. That was when Mrs. Weasley knocked me out of the way to fight her."
"To shut her up," Harry nodded in understanding. He helped her into the shower and then joined her, "so then you started thinking," he ran his hands through his hair, "and you figured it out?"
"Yes," she put some shampoo in her hands before massaging it into his hair, "now, let's get into the revenge ideas. They were trying to put us with two purebloods. I think they seek to control us Harry. How much do you want to bet that their plans are that we marry Ron and Ginny, give them children, and work for the Ministry. They'll make you an auror and probably stick me into the one of the offices in the ministry to keep me under control. Can't let me think too much or try to help people."
Harry felt his temper growing. That sounded incredibly accurate. He leaned in and kissed her, "I won't let them obliviate us again."
"I believe you," she smiled.
After their shower Harry called for Kreacher, asking for breakfast. They got dressed, transfiguring their clothes from yesterday into today and when Kreacher arrived with breakfast Harry asked, "Kreacher, the Order has been obliviating Hermione and me. But we restored our memories last night. So I know we're engaged. Do you know where or what her ring is?"
Kreacher looked at Harry, "They is obliviating master? They is taking ring?"
"Do you know anything about the ring Kreacher?"
"Master Harry is giving Mu-Mistress Hermione," he corrected himself, much to the couple's surprise, "a ring that he had Dobby and Kreacher cast spells on to prevent theft and help keeps her safe."
"How do we get it back?"
The elf stood straight, his chest puffed out as he said, "I can get it back. I go now and find it." Before Harry or Hermione could say anything he vanished.
"Kreacher is oddly nice," Hermione said, "he even corrected himself before calling me a mudblood."
Harry glanced at the scar on her arm, "I can fix that with the Elder wand, I bet," he took it out and after Hermione taught him the spell he cast it. The scar vanished and she smiled, pulling him into a smoldering kiss before they parted to eat.
Kreacher returned five minutes later with the ring, "The old Weasel lady had it. She was hiding it." Harry picked up the ring and looked at it. It looked destroyed. It was obvious someone had tried to change the engraving and Harry realized that Mrs. Weasley had tried to change the inscription. It had also obviously been resized to fit Ginny's short and stubby fingers instead of Hermione's long and delicate ones.
Harry shuddered and dropped the ring. "They changed it to be for Ginny. I'm not letting you wear this disgusting thing. They even scratched out the engraving." Hermione asked Kreacher about an enchantment to prevent being obliviated while trying to comfort Harry.
Kreacher tilted his head in thought before his eyes lit up and he vanished. He returned with a book and Harry and Hermione looked at one another, "We need to prevent getting obliviated," Harry nodded. "Kreacher, can you take us to Gretna Green? Hermione and I need to get some rings and get married. Then we're going to get revenge on the Order for trying to keep us apart."
"After our wedding night," Hermione added, which earned her a lascivious grin from her husband-to-be.
Kreacher obeyed them immediately and they arrived at the blacksmith's. Their first stop was to make an appointment, then they went ring shopping. Harry let Hermione pick out her engagement ring, which had a single good-sized diamond on it. Harry smiled. The diamond was bigger than the other ring, but he liked the simple aspect of it. A gold band with a round cut solitaire diamond on it. Harry used a spell to entwine their initials on the inside of the band. Once they picked out their wedding rings they went to get dressed. Harry got a tux while Hermione got a wedding dress. Kreacher had Winky arrive to help with any necessary alterations. Thirty minutes after their breakfast Harry and Hermione were wed. Kreacher created a copy of their wedding certificate before delivering it to the Ministry. That would take several days to be seen. In the meantime Harry used the elder wand to cast spells that would prevent them being obliviated on their rings.
When they returned to their little hideaway in Gryffindor tower the pair found their clothes waiting for them. Winky looked up at Hermione hopefully, "You is needing a proper elf."
She looked at Harry, clearly unsure. "Well we already have Kreacher. One more won't hurt."
Winky smiled and took that as a yes, immediately bonding herself to the Potters. Harry pulled Hermione into his arms, "Now can I take you to bed, wife?"
She looked at the clock. Four in the afternoon. "Well it's not quite our wedding night yet."
"I fail to see the relevance of that," Harry slid his hands to her body. "You look gorgeous in that dress, my love."
"Smooth talker," she leaned in and kissed him, "Okay but we still have to get revenge."
"We will," Harry promised.
Downstairs in the Great Hall the Order was beginning to panic. Harry and Hermione were both missing and had been for who knows how long. Fear set in that the Order's deeds might have been discovered. It was in everyone's best interest that those two marry the Weasleys. The Weasleys get Harry's considerable wealth and Hermione's genius enters their gene pool along with Harry's sheer magical power. Then the Order had two people to control working in the Ministry, one of them being the Master of Death. Where were they? They had to be in the castle somewhere but where would they hide? It never occurred to anyone that they weren't hiding and were simply up in Gryffindor Tower.
It was late that evening that Harry and Hermione made their appearance. The fact that they were holding hands did not bode well. Ginny immediately launched herself at Harry only to fall on her arse and bounce to the other end of the hall as some sort of force field prevented her from getting close. Next came Ron. "There you are Hermione. Was wondering where you got off to. Hope you don't make running off a habit. Might put a strain on our marriage." Unlike his sister he walked up to the couple but just like his sister he was unable to cross the barrier and he was forced back and also onto his arse, "Bloody hell Hermione! What's got into you?"
Hermione glanced at Harry before sighing, "Ronald Bilius Weasley I swear on my life and magic that I will never marry you." The oath took effect and the remnants of the Order stared. They'd have to put her with someone else now, obviously, but who? At least they still had Harry…
"Ginevra Molly Weasley I swear on my life and magic that I will never marry you," Harry said.
"Harry how could you say that? I love you!"
Harry's eyes narrowed, "Shove it fangirl. And besides, you'd have a hard time marrying me since I'm already married. It's my understanding that magical marriages have no divorce," he gazed at Hermione and smiled, "and Hermione and I are quite happy with that circumstance."
Molly Weasley drew her wand, "Obliviate!" Harry and Hermione had asked Kreacher what would happen if Molly tried to cast the spell. He'd assured them that they were safe and that nothing would happen to them. However Kreacher seemed to have forgotten to mention what would happen to people attempting to cast that spell on them. It became clear when Molly Weasley flew back, colliding with the wall.
Harry and Hermione drew their wands on the Order, "You bastards have been manipulating and using me for seventeen long, painful, evil years. It stops now. I'm sick of all of you bastards. You let me be beaten and abused all for your own selfish desires. You've stolen from me, you took my fiancée's ring from us. I am now collecting. Every knut is returning to my possession. Everything you've taken from Grimmauld Place is being returned. And if a single thing is gone, or you don't have the money, I will flay you alive," he said, his eyes flashing, "you chose to make me the Master of Death. That was a mistake. Your bigger mistake was to try to keep me from my Hermione. Neither of us is forgiving. And you will all pay with more than your gold by the time we're through with you."
When they vanished from the Great Hall the Order looked around, terrified. They'd always presumed that Harry couldn't overcome the mind altering spells. They'd never thought about how a super-powered wand could overcome it. For most of the Order they saw that as their only mistake. Only a few of them could admit that their real mistake had been the minute that they tried to take Hermione from Harry. He would forgive much, but that was something he'd never forgive.
Magical Britain never again heard from Harry and Hermione Potter. That didn't mean that their efforts weren't noticed. One by one each member of the Order who had participated in the abuse and the massive obliviation found themselves destroyed financially, politically, and in some cases physically. The two Potters were known to have done it but that didn't mean that there was any evidence to prove that they did.
Never did the magicals think to look to the non-magical world, where Harry and Hermione would easily be found. The couple decided to open a small café and settled down in Oxford where they took courses from the university at their leisure. Despite their wealth the couple lived modestly and their three children attended school in the United States of America when the time came to give them as close to a normal experience as the children of two war heroes could manage.
