(Off in the distance) What am I doing again? Updating my stories? Well, I have been neglecting them quite a bit, might as well.

Good evening everyone, Nidhogg the Malice Striker here. I would like to thank everyone who has followed this story for the resounding support for this story. I honestly didn't think this many people would like my story. Anyways, on with the new chapter.

Chapter 8: Shit! MEDIC!

The guild was quite quiet today. Strangely, everyone had gotten over the whole potion incident and everything had gone back to normal. Or whatever could be considered normal for Fairy Tail.

The silence was broken when the doors swung open, slamming against their hinges as Cobra, wounded deeply by an arrow sticking out of his back, limped his way into the guild hall before collapsing onto the ground. Kinana and a few other rushed to his aid as someone was sent to Porlyusica for help.

A few hours later, in the infirmary…

Cobra's wounds had been stitched and he was sleeping in one of the beds. Makarov, Porlyusica, Doranbolt, and Lahar were standing in a group to discuss what happened.

"It would seem that someone was able to overpower him, we'll be able to find out who when he wakes up." Lahar deduced.

"Hard to believe that a single arrow hospitalized him." Doranbolt said, looking at the dragonslayer with caution.

"It was more than just an arrow." Porlyusica explained. "It was enhanced through magic that I have yet to identify. It's almost frightening what it did to him."

"Basically, it caused an intense fever, made him violently lash out, and he tried to bite his own tongue off." Makarov summed up. "It's a miracle that he even made it back alive."

"If Cobra was attacked, the other members of Oracion Seis that are on parole might be in danger as well." Lahar realized, his face slightly paling. "We'll send out Council representatives out to check on them."

"Right, now everyone has to leave." Porlyusica said. "He'll need rest right now, I recommend that we have his parole officer watch over him in case something happens."

The three men looked at Porlyusica, confused about her suggestion. "I doubt that Kinana can help that much if he lashes out again." Doranbolt said.

The four of them filed out of the room and Kinana walked in before sitting next to Cobra's bed, worried about the wounded dragonslayer.

She sighed as she looked at his sleeping face. "Erik, who did this to you? I know that people might not like you because you were part of a dark guild, but I doubt that someone would be able to do this to you."

Kinana tried to hold back tears before leaning over and giving Cobra a light kiss on the lips.

She turned away for a second, only to her a groan from the bed.

"Erik?" Kinana asked aloud, seeing the dragonslayer waking up. Cobra rubbed his head before hissing in pain and clutching his shoulder.

"Damn, that's way too sore right now." Cobra complained before turning to Kinana. "Is something wrong?" He asked, noticing that she was slightly crying.

"You're okay!" Kinana exclaimed, hugging Cobra tightly, causing him to hiss in pain from contact to his wound. "Sorry." She said, letting go of him.

"I take it that someone removed the arrow." Cobra said, rubbing his shoulder. "Now I just need to find the masked bastard who shot it into me and pay him back."

"Masked man?" Kinana asked quietly. "Did you happen to know anything about him?"

"No, he just said some crazy stuff about hunting wizards for sport. The guy really creeped me out." Cobra said.

Eager to talk about something else, Cobra remembered something he wanted to ask Kinana. "Back when you were under the effects of that potion, you kissed me." He said, causing her to blush. "I've been wondering if that was what you really felt towards me, or if the potion made you do it."

"Erik." Kinana began to say. "I can't really say how I feel about you. I can't begin to describe my feelings at all. But the potion made me do it because of the way I felt about you. What I'm trying to say is that, well, I-I love you."

Cobra was quiet for a few moments after hearing this, prompting Kinana to try to leave. She was stopped when Cobra grabbed her arm and pulled her into a kiss. The kiss was pretty slow and passionate, after getting over her surprise, Kinana began to kiss back.

Both broke the kiss for air, Kinana was still a little surprised by Cobra's actions. "I love you too, Kinana. You were my first friend, even as a snake, and when I joined the guild you helped defend my actions and convinced people to accept me into the guild." Cobra explained.

"Erik." Kinana said before kissing him.

Both were happy in their embrace, but were interrupted by the sound of a single person clapping. Both turned to see Mirajane Strauss standing in the doorway, a cheerful smile on her face.

"It's about time you two got together, but there are a couple of people from the council who would like to speak with you, Cobra." Mira said.

And this chapter comes to a close, so who is this new threat who hunts wizards? I guess that you'll have to wait until next time to find out. Oh, and to those who were requesting for a Cobkina lemon, you'll just have to wait a little bit longer.

Next Time: An Inquiring Council… And something about a bath house?
