I own Nothing of KP. I know I said this chapter would have the discussion in it but my test reader thought I should add more character reactions and depth to increase the suspense. Sorry, but did it work?
The Dr. Possibles had watched the news since the attack had occurred. For this reason they had seen the incident between Drakken and the boy who was all but a son to them. They were proud and yet upset at the same time. Why would Kim not with Ron? Why was Ron so upset? They would wait. They would ask when she got home.

Kim Possible did not know what to do as she made her way home to change. She had to get out of her dress. Her dress she had spent hours shopping for. Her dress that was now ruined. Tainted by that things touch and her own actions.
As she walked she pondered the night so far about her actions.
'Why' Kim thought 'That is what it all boils down to. Why did I kick him? Why did I not believe him? Why?'
As Kim opens the door she is met by both her parents. They have a look on there faces that she has seen so rarely before. They are disappointed. Disappointed in her, in her action.
Her parents see the turmoil in her eyes and written on her face. There faces soften. When she sees this she runs and hugs her father before turning and collapsing in her mothers arms.
Her mother gives her husband a look that says it all. This requires girl talk. He gathers the boys and gives her one last hug before leading them out the door. They will go to the ice cream store and maybe the center.
After the door was pulled shut Kim began to cry. She cried for 5 minutes before stopping enough for her Mom to talk to her though tears still flowed from Kim .
"Kim tell me what happened." Anne Possible states
With this Kim broke down and told her mother everything The dance, How she kicked him, Barkins story, the reaction from the students, the second fight at the Gym, everything.
Anne hugs her daughter, "Kim, Your fatther and I will always Love you but your actions tonight they disappointed us. Your father does not know why you were not there just that eric was a distraction for you made by Drakken. It worked Kim. You disregarded a friend since kindergarden. What I want to know is why?"
"I don't know, Mom. I was starting to view him as more then a friend for a while but it scarred me. I did not want to lose his friendship and now I have anyway." Kim began to cry again.
"I don't think so Kim." Anne told her daughter, "But you have to think do you still want to be friends or something more. Do you like like Ronald or just like him?"
"I..I..I..I think I lo. love him, Mom." stated Kim, "But he probably hates me now. I hurt him Mom."
"Kim, I think you need to go talk to him. Go meet him where he told you to and discuss it. Take your time and discuss it. Talk it out. Tell him everything and I mean everything, Kim."
"Are you sure, Mom. What if he doesn't feel the same about me now?" Kim asks
"Kim, did Ron ever tell you about what happened at the spirit dance when you met Josh there?" Anne asks.
"No, what happened. I remember talking to him but then I did not see him all weekend?" asks Kim
"Kim, when you pushed him into the closet and shut the door. It locked. He spent the weekend in the Janitors closet." Anne sees her daughter start to cry but continues, "Kim he still loved you after that."
Kim starts at hearing the "L" word from her Mom but thinks back to Ron's words earlier in the day and realises she is right he did love her after that. The question is does he still love her now? She went up stairs to change. She had to find out the answer.

Barkin was sitting at his desk at home. In his left hand he held a scotch. He rarely drank even a sip but tonight he had killed half a bottle. A bottle purchased years before that had sat unopened till tonight. As he drank he stared at a picture on the wall opposite of his desk. A picture of his squad before shipping out. Before that fateful day all those years ago. The helicopter crash. He focuses on one face in particular. He sees the hollow smile on the face and a chill runs down his spine. That face, the face of a man who had killed so many in later years. I number so large that it scared him, over 100 in his carrer. He had seen the face reborn tonight for but a split second on one of his students. Barkin downed the remainder of the glass before filling it again and reaching for the phone. He had a call to make. He needed guidence in this situation.

Ron Stoppable sat and waited for Kim; or waited to pass out which ever came first, as he knew he would not sleep so he waited for his best friend and the girl he loved. He needed to know so many things. He needed to know why she had kicked him. Why she had not believed him? However, the ting he needed to know most is if she felt the same way he did for her. If she really loved him. Lord did he hope so. Even with everything she had done to him over the years. He loved her and likely always would but he could not do it anymore. He could not give everything and receive nothing. She reaally hurt him tonight. Not the kick, though that had hurt a lot. No, what really hurt him was her not believing him. He would have believed her.
Before he could continue thinking a knock sounded from the door. A knock he recognized from the pattern one he had memorized as a kid.
"Come in, Kim" he said with a slight smile appearing inspite of his attempt to sound sad. 'She always brightens my day' he thought as the door began to open.

Kim had dressed simply in her navy blue shirt and pants for her talk with Ron.
As she walked towards her friends housee. She could not stop the sea of thoughts and doubts that swirled around her as if a tidal wave pulling her in. The what if's came to her in waves. 'What if he was angry. What if he did not love her. What if...' it was this she thought as she knocked on the door to there meeting place.
"Come in, Kim." His voice rang and for a moment she thought she heard a smile in his voice.
'Wishful thinking.' She thought as she opened the door.
