Jonathan packed the tent and the few suitcases they had in the back of the car. He was wearing a green T-shirt, matching his eyes, shorts and sneakers. Clary noticed a group of girls checking her brother out, but he just ignored them, telling her that he can't do that with his little sister around.
They got to the meeting point, where the Herondales and the Lightwoods were. Jace and Alec were talking, while Alex's sister sat in the RV with her father. Stephen was looking at a map with Maryise.
"I'm Jonthan, Clary's bigger brother!" he said and smiled. He shook hands with Jace, Alec and their fathers and winked at Isabelle. She blushed, but Alec pulled her away, glaring at Jonathan. He got closer to Jace and looked at him from head to toes. "Well, well, well, look at you. You're the Jace my sister's been talking about the past two weeks." he turned to Clary." Not that bad. Tall, handsome, blond.. I'm proud of you." he stepped away, hands in his pockets. "Anyway, I'm going ot talk to Stephen. Men to men."
Clary faced Jace and smiled at him, wrapping her arms around Jace's and gave him a quick kiss. She looked behind him, noticing that Jonathan was whistling and clapping, the other parents and Izzy were trying to ignore it, but Alec was glaring at them.
Alec and Clary's relationship ripped apart once Clary told him that she was with Jace and that she's happy now, but he insisted that he had feelings for her. She got mad about all the bullshit Alec was talking about. He had to move on and realise that none of what he was dreaming about will ever happen.
They all got into their own cars and drove away. Clary was sitting on the backseat with Izzy and Robert was sitting next to Jonathan, the river Isabelle wasn't in the mood for talking, just staring at Jonathan and daydreaming, as if nobody could see her. Clary was disgusted and sad at the same time for her. Jon would never want to date a younger girl, not even mentioning she's still in high-school. But she stayed quiet, letting Izzy imagine a bright future, just like the other girls. When he used to drop her off to school, all her classmates were going crazy about him. The best part were the invitations to the coll kids' parties and sleepover because that would be their chance to see Jonathan again.
"Oh man! This place is awesome!" Jonathan said when they've arrived there. "We're going to have such a great time! Come on, Clary, we need to put our tent up."
After everybody had put their tent up, they gathered around to come up with a schedule for this trip. While Stephen was talking, Jonathan kept interrupting him, suggesting a 'better' plan and of course everybody agreed, except Stephen. Clary hit him in the arm for the next 10 seconds to make him stop and he surprisingly did.
The meeting was over and they all headed to sleep, but Clary felt someone ouch her arm. She turned around and saw big blue eyes looking at her, Alec.
"Wanna take a walk?"
"No, Alec-"
"We need to talk. Please, just a walk, I'm not going to touch you or anything."
She looked at Jace, but he wasn't around. "Fine."
They walked down the path that was heading to the other festival camp. With his hands in his pockets and his hood on, his blue eyes sparkling into the moonlight and his messy dark hair he looked breath-taking, but not for her. Not today, nor tomorrow.
"We need to talk about that thing, Clary."
She tensed and took deep breath. "I haven't felt nauseous since that day, so there's nothing to worry about." That was an awful lie. She did feel sick for the last month, but she ignored that.
"I don't want this, Clary. It was stupid for us to get drunk and-"
"And you think I want it?" she snapped, loosing control of her voice, worrying about anyone who could hear them. "I'm the one who will do the important part of this, not you. We were drunk and wasted, thinking that 'Fuck yeah, senior year, parties, getting drunk and having sex'. Yeah, not cool at all. Everything had happened when we didn't even know each other. I didn't know Jace at that time and now I regret everything. Yes, everything."
Alec looked like he just got a punch. He was hurt by the words Clary had said, but he had to deal with it. "I don't want to get between you and Jace, but if this thing will happen, I'm sorry, but I want to be part of your life. I want to take back that night, that kiss on the alley or whatever. It's not easy for me either." he changed his voice into a softer one, trying to forget what was happening. "Why didn't you... take a test?'
She calmed down too and whispered. "I was afraid... If it did come out the way we don't want, our lives will be ruined. I don't know how my mom will react, or Jon." like she remembered something, she closed her eyes and hit the ground with her boot. "God, Jon! He will flip out.I'll need to stay near him every day and you'll be a dead man... And Jace." she looked at Alec." Jace will be damaged. He'll lose a brother and a girlfriend. Great."
Alec put his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, hey, calm down. It will be okay... maybe we won't have to deal with this and everything will be back to normal."
She didn't say anything but hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her and felt that she was crying.
