Oops again.
BB waited for JJ outside. They'd both managed to get the maximum amount of sleep possible in the short time they had and were in a far better mood than yesterday. Depending on their choices, this could be their last night shift at Freddy's- finally, they could be free. Although the week had been possibly the most horrifying week of BB's life, somehow, he didn't want it to end. He half hoped JJ would take the overtime just so he could spend more time with her. It was puzzling to him that he could possibly want to keep this hellish job, but he did all the same.
Mere moments after the thought crossed his mind, JJ appeared.
"Ready for this?" She asked chirpily.
"Ready as I'll ever be," he grinned in response. JJ flashed a smile in return and they entered the building together.
As they approached the office, BB turned to JJ. "Did you remember the Walkman?"
"Mhm. You wanna put it in tonight?"
He immediately looked nervous. "M-maybe we should just, uh... stay together."
JJ tried not to laugh at him. "Alright. Let's go then."
They quickly slipped into Pirate Cove and put the Walkman into Foxy's half destroyed body. JJ stuck her tongue out at him cheekily. "I added even more songs. Have fun, trash pile."
"JJ," BB whined. "Don't tease him! He's gonna be mad and try to kill us even harder now!"
"That sentence isn't correct, and anyway, we can handle him."
"Can we?"
"Of course we can!" She scoffed.
Once they were safely seated in the office, JJ whipped out her phone and turned on the flashlight. "Is there an outlet in here? My phone's gonna end up dead before we're done."
BB checked the walls. "They're all filled, but we can do without a fan."
"Good plan." She chucked her charger at him, and he replaced the fan with the charger. They sat around for a few more minutes in a comfortable silence before the chimes finally began. Almost fifteen minutes passed before they caught any movement. Bonnie had started making his way down the corridor already. JJ let out a long, overly dramatic sigh. "Really? Are we really doing this? Come on dude, just let us live. You won't win anyways."
"I'll kill the two of you wretches if it's the last thing I do," the bunny swore- but he turned around and walked away. The pair of them stared down the hall at him in astonishment.
"He... left?" BB questioned cautiously.
JJ hesitated. "For now. He'll probably be back- and soon. If anything, he'll probably try harder."
"Maybe we should like... stop teasing them?"
"That's a terrible plan. They need to think we're confident."
"Okay... oh, I meant to ask you earlier, are you gonna take any of the overtime? 'Cause Phil says we shouldn't, but I get the feeling you don't care what Phil says."
"Yeah, no, I totally don't. I'm gonna do the first one, but that's all. I need the extra money, y'know?"
"I guess that's fair... I'll be here with you then."
"At least we'll have time to sleep tomorrow. Saturdays are the best."
He nodded enthusiastically, then suddenly looked sad. "Aww... I just realised the Balloon Boy animatronic is gonna be back on Sunday. This is my last week working here..."
"Really? They're just kicking you once it's back?"
He nodded. "For now at least. My uncle works here, so whenever the animatronic breaks I have to replace it. I'll probably be back in a few months or something."
The sound of approaching music cut their conversation short and they slammed the left door shut.
"NOT GETTING US THIS TIME, YA HUNK O' JUNK!" JJ yelled. BB covered his ears.
Loud, clanging footsteps came up to the door and banged it a few times. The power went down a few notches, but nothing significant enough to worry them. A few moments later, the same footsteps stamped away from them.
"He didn't even... say anything...? They're being weird. What are they planning?"
The answer was given to them mere moments later when a step alerted BB to the right door. After quickly flashing his phone light down the hall, he smacked the door button and collapsed back onto the chair. "That's not fair!" He shouted. "You can't just switch sides like that!"
JJ looked at him, obviously confused.
"Bonnie went around that side!" BB pointed at the door accusingly.
"Just DIE already!" The bunny groaned from behind it.
"Never. Go back to whatever the hell you do in your free time, WIll."
"Can you stop calling me that damn name?" He snapped.
"Can you leave us alone?" JJ snapped back.
"That attitude's gonna catch up to you someday."
Once the bunny was gone, and the door re-opened, JJ finally realised what they'd forgotten. "Ah crap, we forgot about Jack again," she mumbled, winding up the music box for the first time that night. She silently thanked him for not attacking them at any point in the week, and returned to periodically checking the door.
Hours passed without major incident. Bonnie made more visits than ever before, and so did Foxy, but neither of them even came close to catching them. Freddy did eventually make a move, but he hung about near the bathrooms from then on. Chica stayed in the kitchen, as usual.
It wasn't until five am that they ran into a problem. Bonnie just... wouldn't leave. He was standing outside the door and refusing to move. Their power was now suffering quite a bit.
"WILL! GO AWAY!" JJ screamed for the tenth time in the past fifteen minutes.
"Nah. I'm just gonna stick around til you're out of power."
"But Freddy gets us then, dumbass!"
"Not if I get to ya first," he snarled.
Somehow- somehow- they struggled through and made it to 6am. Their power only just lasted, dripping down to zero less than half a minute after the chimes.
"See you later then?" JJ mumbled.
"Yeah... one last night," BB smiled back.
I have no frickin inspiration for this fic anymore. I hate it tbh. I just want it to end. I'll finish soon probably. I know this chapter was short- it's cause i have no inspiration and hate this fic. I'm not doing another day chapter. Just assume they slept the entire time. I don't care any more. I wish I cared, but I don't.
Bye from ya semi-depressed boi - Rae
