Hey, guys! Sorry for the late post! Thank you to Snowcrystal of ThunderClan for favoriting/ following this story!
LoverOfKittys: Thank you! And you are almost correct.
Linda Dickey (guest): Thank you, too! I'll have to check out those books.
I will update irregularly. I will try to post the next chapter my next Thursday. Here's the story!

Winterstrike's POV
(-*-)(-*-)
"Get off our land," The dark brown tom hissed. The patrol consisting of three cats were facing the me, the "kittypet" who strayed across the border. A gray she-cat laid her tail on the tom's shoulders. A white she-cat with amber eyes stood to meet the
"Who are you? Why have you crossed our territory?" She growled. He was interrupted by a soft mew.
"I'm sorry for Icestreak," The ginger and brown she-cat mewed, but glared at me. "But I must ask, what are you doing on ThunderClan territory?" The white she-cat, Icestreak, hissed at the ginger and brown she-cat.
"What's ThunderClan," I asked innocently.
"ThunderClan is the strongest Clan in the forest," The dark brown tom hissed. The gray she-cat leaned down and mewed to the tom.
"ThunderClan is one of the four Clans in the forest," The leader answered, shooting a glare at the tom.
"This kittypet won't leave. I'm getting Shadestar," The tom growled and ran off without a second glance.
"What's your name," The gray she-cat asked.
"W-Winter," I replied.
"Well, Winter, I've never seen a kittypet who would take on a Clan cat like that," The gray she-cat mewed, meaning the dark brown tom who I've just fought.
"You said earlier that there were four Clans in the forest," I meowed. "Who are the other three?"
"The other three Clans are WindClan, RiverClan… and ShadowClan." The leader spat out the word ShadowClan like it was an insult.
A black tom burst through the bracken. "Oakpelt, who is the kittypet?" The tom growled.
"Her name is Winter, Shadestar," The ginger and brown she-cat, Oakpelt, answered.
"Winter, what is the meaning of being on our territory," Shadestar turned on me.
"What's your meaning of hating me," I returned calmly. Shadestar seemed taken aback by it, only to come back around.
"Kittypet!" He spat.
"Shadestar. A word?" Oakpelt asked. Shadestar growled but stalked away with her nothing less.
"So… I've told you my name, now you tell me yours," I meowed to the she-cat and tom.
"Fine, kittypet. I tell you my name. I am Wolfpaw, apprentice of ThunderClan. And this mouse-brain of a cat is Mousetuft." The dark brown tom flicked his tail pointily at the she-cat. Mousetuft hissed at this.
Shadestar and Oakpelt padded out of the bushes and turned to me.
"You have the choice to join ThunderClan," Shadestar growled. "In half a moon from today, we'll meet you here. You will give me your decision then."
And with that, the cats left. Winter was stunned, but her mind was thinking fast. If she joined ThunderClan, then she could leave her bad life behind...

The blank state of unconscious was peaceful. Calm. But at the same time, a part of your mind was saying that you might die.
Hello? I thought I called out.
Is this how StarClan is? I wondered. Then I heard the sounds. Muffled voices that I couldn't make out.
Can someone hear me? I tried to yowl. I opened my mouth, trying to get a sound out. Nothing but a wheeze. I could suddenly feel the jerking movements around me, the pain in my scruff, and the tightness in my chest.
I strained my ears when I heard mewing. I could make out something.
"… dead?... Shadestar is on… life… breathing!... camp… be okay?... She will… Wint-…" The voices were desperate, as if searching for light. Like I was.
Help me! I cried in my mind. But I couldn't say it out loud. The tightness in my chest made me fight for breath. I could feel a small trickle of liquid make its way down my neck. The pain in my scruff grew, and suddenly I had to fight even harder for my breath. Then, I went make into the state of unconsciousness.
(-*-)(-*-)
I could feel the tightness in my chest again. I parted my jaws and managed to get a tiny whisper out, though it made it even harder for me to breathe.
"Help." That was all I managed to get out before I was thrown into a fit of gasps as I struggled for air. Though my muscles protested against it, I opened my eyes a tiny crack. I could see green eyes staring into mine.
"Don't talk, Winterstrike," A soft murmur calmed. I managed to open my eyes a little wider, seeing a pale tan face.
"Rosedapple," I wheezed.
"Hush, Winterstike. You'll feel better soon," Rosedapple's voice soothed. I parted my jaws again to speak only to feel pain on from my flanks and scruff. Rosedapple, not noticing this, turned to Mousetuft.
You'll only feel more pain if you stay here. My conscious whispered.
You're right.
Of course I am, I'm you.
But if I leave, I'd be turning my back on the Clan.
So?
So, this Clan is my family.
But your real family is in the Twolegplace.
And I'll only suffer more if I stay here.
Correct.
And if I leave, I'll be turning my back on the Clan.
Also correct.
Winterstrike kept arguing with her own mind, but eventually feel into a deep sleep.

"Winterstrike," A voice woke me from the endless darkness. I blinked into the green eyes of Rosedapple. I thought she could hear my stomach rumbling.
"Rosedapple," I thought I said it, but it just came out in a gasp. I cleared my throat and tried again.
"Winterstrike, you're awake," Rosedapple's relieved mew reached me. I tried stand up, but the shaking in my legs made my lay back down. I could feel pain in my scruff, and along one flank. I let out a hiss of pain when my scruff started throbbing. Rosedapple sighed.
Rosedapple turned to get something out of the herb storage and came back to me with a bundle of leaves. "Eat these." Rosedapple's meowed softly, pushing some leaves from the bundle towards me. I ate the leaves, wincing at the bitter taste and the sudden stinging in my scruff. I could see Rosedapple putting marigold on the wound that she just uncovered.
When Rosedapple finished, she carefully placed fresh cobwebs on the wound in my scruff.
"Rosedapple," I choked from the bitter leaves.
"Yes?" Rosedapple's gentle mew rang.
"How long have I been asleep," I asked, my mew rough. Rosedapple seemed to freeze, panic flaring in her eyes as if she were remembering something terrible.
"You've… been asleep for three sunrises," Rosedapple meowed hesitantly.
"Rosedapple!" A muffled voice called from outside the den.
"What, Oakpelt?" Rosedapple asked.
"I brought you and Winterstrike fresh-kill," Oakpelt stepped into the den and laid a mouse at my paws.
"Thank you, Oakpelt," My scratched voice mewed. Oakpelt just nodded and turned to Rosedapple, mewing about something.
"She'll be around in about a half-moon," I heard Rosedapple hiss. Curious, I turned my head towards them.
"She can't be a warrior now!" Oakpelt growled.
"Yes, she can!"
"No, she can't!"
"Yes, she can!"
"No, she can't! The fox attack probably crippled her!"
"It did not!"
"What are you talking about," I rasped. Oakpelt's amber eyes turned towards me.
"Oakpelt! Out of my den! Now!" Rosedapple shoved Oakpelt out of the den. Oakpelt glared at her, then turned around and stalked away.
"Sorry about that," Rosedapple turned to me. "Just forget what she said." Rosedapple padded out of the medicine den and, giving me one last glance, went out of view. I suddenly felt like I had to prove myself to the Clan again. I laid my head down on my paws and closed my eyes.

Hey guys! Sorry for me not posting for so long! Summer break is almost here, and when it comes, I'll be able to post chapters more frequently. So, yay!
This Chapter's Question: Questions don't have to be about the story. It can be about other things, too. What is your favorite Pokémon, if you play with them?
Mine is Mewtwo EX. I hoped who liked this chapter, and, hopefully, I can post soon!
