Chapter 11:

Danny felt absolutely, positively happy for the very first time in his life.

Patrol that week was quiet and peaceful, with only Skulker and Ember flying about on a... date? Ew.

Danny really couldn't complain about anything, seeing as there was nothing to worry about in the night skies. The police handled any crime in the street, and Danny spooked a few teens aiming on adding to the cities graffiti collection.

Life—even a half-dead life such as his own—was good.

Sure, his patrols were no shorter, spanning late into the nights as they always did, but Danny didn't mind so much anymore. He liked the cool air on his skin, and the promise that Aaron would be waiting at home in their bed for him.

Heh. Their bed. That thought had Danny's cheeks aflame.

His less than holy thoughts were interrupted when there was a screeching of tires and the scrape of metal on metal from below, and Danny looked down in time to see a certain blonde haired jock he knew step out of a crashed car.

Danny rushed down to the street, seeing the expensive looking car and disheveled Baxter on the blacktop. The hood of the Taurus was bent and curved, pressed flush against a lamp post. Dash sat on the curb beside it, nursing his head.

"Stupid piece of... son of a..." Danny could hear the blonde saying, and he rolled his eyes. Dash was obviously fine, besides a bruised ego and trashed car.

"Is there something I can help with, sir?" Danny called in his authoritative 'superhero' voice.

Dash was quick to turn on him, eyes ablaze with anger and fury as Danny literally watched the veins swell in the boys neck. Dash took a few predatory steps towards the ghost, but Danny was not afraid. He could easily take Dash in a fight.

Easily.

"You can start," Dash spat, acid leaking from his voice like a curse, "With that stupid ghost friend of yours. The idiot jumped right in front of me."

"Wha-?" Danny started, but he was soon answered.

He gasped when he saw black gloves swoop in front of his vision, dragging him back against an unfamiliar torso. Danny was hoisted up from the ground, and the air was dragged from his very being as the world condensed around him.

The world around him was pitch dark and painted in swilring whisps of black, purple, and blue. The air was thick, and Danny choked against the coil-like arms restricting his lungs. When he was released, Danny fell to the ground on his knees, his head swimming from lack of air as his muscles tensed for a fight.

Turning, he was met by the same pair of bright purple eyes and jet black hair, the ghost from weeks ago floating before him. Now, Danny could see the fine, sharp features and all-black outfit that would have Sam swooning. The gloves and boots gleamed in the sunken light, and Danny squinted to see where black trench-coat met black trousers, but couldn't quiet find it.

The purple eyed ghost let out a bemused chuckle. "I told you to leave town, Phantom." His face darkened, but the crisp scowl stayed on clean features. He twitched when Danny scoffed, but he held his arrogant air.

"It would be better for you if you left now—quietly. Before something happens to you."

Danny's words fell to uninterested ears. The ghost gestured around him. "You are in my domain now, Phantom. I suggest your words come cautiously if you wish to leave here in one piece."

It was true. Danny was trapped in this swirling mess of dark—again, that Sam would trade her very soul to just see—and there was nothing the half ghost could do but talk his way out. This ghost seemed... different then the rest of them, even from Sydney, the Box Ghost and other natural ghosts, who seemed crazed from their deaths. Even from Skulker, who was born a ghost. This ghost was different, like nothing Danny had seen.

"My name," the purple eyed ghost announced, "is Catarax."

"Cataract?" Danny asked skeptically. "Isn't that a disease in the eye-"

"Catarax, youimbecile!" He huffed childishly, eyes flaring as he clenched his fists.

Danny held up two hands innocently, his eyes rolling. "Alright, Catarax, have it your way." Danny took a few steps forward. "Look, whatever it is you want, I'm sure we can talk through it, but tonight, I just want to go home to-"

Danny stopped when there was suddenly a very purple-eyed ghost nose to nose with him. Danny stilled when he saw the worry, the fear, the uncertainty swimming in the others eyes. The ghost seemed older than Danny by maybe a year, and stood at a good 3 inches taller, but he still had an air about him that seemed way too young.

"You can't go home, Phantom!" His voice was pleading, nothing like before. Now, he seemed fidgety, seemed scared and unsure and shaken, where before he was nothing but strength and malice and threats.

"And why can't I?" Danny asked, unsure of what he'd gotten himself into.

"Catarax will hurt you if you do... he needs you out of Amity to have his plan fulfilled..."

Danny gagged on the ghosts words, seeing the lighter eyes, the shaking form, the shaking hands that matched with wobbly knees. It was as if the ghost had completely changed personalities...

Which didn't sound so crazy to Danny. He'd handled crazier beings than schizophrenic ghosts.

"And whats your name?" Danny asked tentatively.

The ghost looked bashful as he averted his strange eyes. "Meridan." he said, and spelled it out afterwords. "It sounds like a girls name, and it kindof it, but..."

Danny was so taken aback, but his patience and calming nature was enough to keep him standing before the ghost. "My name is Danny." He told the other. He extended his hand to the violet eyed ghost, and smiled when he shook it. "Why don't we go get something to warm us up, hmm?"

With a snap to his fingers, the darkness disappeared, and Danny walked with Meridan further into the city.

Aaron pulled Danny farther into the hallway, his cheeks still aflame and limbs shaking with the weight of the stares following after them.

Everyone here knew that Aaron was gay... but Danny? No, that was a new one.

Danny tightened his hold on Aaron's long fingers, trying to calm his nervous shakes. The school day had been long, and Danny had been itching all day to get back to Aaron, not having any classes with him. Aaron, it seems, was feeling the same, if a few notches more nervous and paranoid. "Aaron," He tried, and the boy stopped his fast pace, if only by a fraction.

"Aaron!" Danny pulled the boy to him, ignoring the banter and bickering around them.

It didn't take much for Danny to pin Aaron to his chest, hands going into Aaron's hair as he hushed the boy. He could feel Aaron's heated face and humming heart. "Aaron, calm downnnn." Danny laughed into the apple-scented boy, melting into the feel of him. Aaron met his eyes, but glanced left and right at the passing crowd. "Babe," Danny cooed, drawing the boys head closer. "No one is going to bother us, Aaron."

The boy let out a breath. His freckles were still clouded in a flush that made Danny bite back a laugh, but he seemed calmed. "Its not someone bothering us that's making me nervous, its my friends finding you." He bit his lip and swiveled to watch behind him, but it was too late.

"Aaron!" a blonde haired, blue eyed girl yanked Aaron from Danny's arms, him being able to only hold onto one of the redheads hands. Her bright green sweater and long neon-colored stockings danced on her frame, and Danny smiled at her enthusiasm. She squeezed at Aaron's neck, barreling him with her strong limbs. Danny could just see her short pixie cut hair-do over his boyfriends shoulder, what with her being so short.

"Aaron, I was so worried! I haven't heard from you all freaking week and then you just show up with-"

Her eyes locked onto Danny, her thick black glasses glaring against the florescent lights above. It took a few seconds of Danny building a blush and the girl steadily gawking at him before her iris' narrowed at the still twined fingers of the redhead and ravenette.

She let go and squealed, throwing her polished black nails over her flushed face. Danny had never seen a girl more excited in his life, and her sweater and short skirt flowed around her skinny frame as she swung in a happy circle.

Before Danny could stop her, the girl had her arms around his neck and was planting a solid, wet kiss onto his cheek.

"Mavis!" Aaron cried. "You can't just-!"

"Yes I can." She smirked, a big, sloppy grin on her red lips. "How long have we said you two would be a cute couple, hmm?" She waved a finger between the two, and Danny felt as Aaron tried to push Danny away from the embarrassing conversation. Mavis sprang forward into Danny's face, obviously not too concerned about personal boundaries. It wasn't too much of a problem though, seeing as Danny was a whole head and a half taller than her.

"Have you two kissed? Have you met June and Henry? Have you-" She suddenly gasped, her dark lashes springing wide open as shock hit her features. "Are you two dating?!" She nearly hissed, and Danny laughed as Aaron hid his beet-red face against the others shoulder.

Danny smiled wider, pulling his boyfriend into a deeper hug, his chest flush against Aaron's back as he squeezed the blushing boys hips. Aaron crossed his arms in defeat and sighed. Mavis made happy little noises and hummed when she saw the two melt together. Danny smiled shyly at her. "Yes," he laughed. "To all three of your questions."

Mavis covered her face in a scream of giggles, escaping into the her own little world as Aaron hurried to hush his friend. Danny could do nothing but laugh, happy that Aaron's friend was so willing to except their relationship, even if it was just sprouting. Its hard to believe, but Danny was slowly realizing that the deep feelings he had for Aaron were worked only on 5 constant weeks of confusion, pain, and healing in Aaron's soft hands.

"Mavis, what are you getting yourself into now?"

Danny turned his head to see a dark haired, red eyed boy looking unchangingly at the blonde girl before them. This boy might be the complete opposite of Mavis.

His eyes were super-natural, a deep crimson color that seemed to shine in the busy hall. His bangs were long, and flowed to cover the right side of his face, surrounded by long, untamed locks of jet black. His shirt was tight, and just as dark as his hair, his skinny jeans no exception, with matching All-star converse with scuffed toes. The boy is tall and lean but all muscle with his taught features.

Danny found himself wondering how it would be to spar with this boy, to see who could fight better.

"Alex, take Mavis far far away, will you?" Aaron huffed, but his small chuckles made the blonde girl smile wider.

The boy, Alex, rolled his eyes at this. Mavis, her face still lit up like lightening, leaned against Alex, her eyes accusing and brightened as she took in the couple before her.

She glanced from Aaron to Danny and back again, her bright eye shadow making her blue eyes seem smokey and sinister. She looked up—way up—to Alex. "Should we tell...?"

Alex crossed his arms, his red eyes unfazed. "Its none of my business."

Aaron was about to say something before he felt the muscular arms holding him in place were tugged away. He turned to see Danny, in the arms of a black haired, purple lipped, all black wearing girl with piercings and black nails. Sam Manson had her head buried in Danny's neck, and when she pulled away, Aaron could see concerned tears swimming in violet eyes.

"Danny, I was so worried! Jazz called and said you moved out of yours parents house. Why? What-"

Her eyes swept to the group she'd pulled him from, Tucker standing beside her and assessing the neon colored blonde and the black-clad boy. They all knew each other, knew their faces and the crowd they flew with, but had never been this close together. They were all in the 'dork' category, all labeled as 'losers' or 'unworthy'... but this was a crossing of labels in its own.

Danny laughed awkwardly, hugging Sam apologetically. "I'm sorry I haven't been in touch with you two lately... It's been kind of busy." Sam nodded, releasing her strangling hold from the ravenette before her.

He stepped back over to Aaron, grabbing the boys shaking hands. "Sam, Tuck, this is Aaron, my boyfriend." Mavis's shrill giggle was not lost on him. "And his friends, Alex and Mavis." Sam's eyes widened at the boyfriend bit, Tuckers too, and Danny suddenly felt the clenching of his stomach muscles as he realized his fear that his friends might not except him...

His fears were soon crushed when both of his best friend's smiled like idiots and took their turns hugging the red-faced redhead.

"This is great news!" Sam chimed, her eyes lighting. "We should celebrate!"

Mavis jumped in the air, her blonde bangs falling over her forehead. Her long pale arms wrapped around Alex's shoulders, making a slight grimace appear to his lips, but she didn't pay any mind. "Movie night! It'll be fun, right Alex?! Come on!" Her pleading continued, and Tucker laughed as Sam blew a raspberry into the air. "Aaron, pplllleaaasssseee! Group movie nights are always funner!"

Danny giggled into Aaron's hot neck. The redhead wasn't getting anywhere with calming Mavis down—there was no doubt that nothingcould—and it was a losing battle all around.

"How about at my place tonight?" Sam tried, her smile growing when Mavis all but threw her arms around the dark clothed girl.

"Perfecto!" Mavis hummed, red lips showing her straight teeth. She pulled Sam farther down the hall, their conversation trailing into details of time and place that she promised to text to Aaron and Alex as soon as it was planned. Alex trailed after her, mumbling about getting her to calm down as Tucker followed beside him, worried glances trailing Sam as she compliments Mavis on her outfit.

Danny couldn't stop chuckling, Aaron's skin on fire as he shook his head at his friend. "She's a little..."

"Hilarious." Danny snickered, eyed meeting Aaron's.

Aaron's lips broke into a small smile. "I was going to say, 'much', but that works too." The boys found each others hands, and they walked together out of the school, finding June waiting in the car lane to drive them to Danny's first appointment, one of the agreements he'd made as part of his police report.

Problem is, he hates psychiatrists, and he's sure that the doctor will find a way to tell him exactly why that is.

Soooo... I'm late xP yeah, I know xP

I've had a bunch of ideas of where this fic can go, and what I'd like to do with it, so I've decided not to end it here-(especially with all the death threats I've gotten, ehem .)-and so yeah! Nother chapter to add to the collection! I bet you guys forgot about that purple eyed ghost from back when Aaron was sick, huh? :D PlOt TwIsT~~~

Also, thank you to morning-star57 for the amazing OC she lent me! His name is Alex Rouge, Aaron's best guy friend, and I plan on making him apart of the story, along with Mavis, Meridan(heh), and hopefully Sam and Tucker as well! And, later on, some Dan... for the same reasons as Sam and Tucker. (for those of you reading What Doesn't Kill Him, I'm going to start off Sam , Tucker, and Dan in this fic first to see if I even feel comfortable using them in my other one)

Uhmmm, I also added a bit of Dash in there, just cause. *Shrug*

Oh! and I need help! Morning-star57 gave me the awesome idea to use other people ocs as the predators that hurt Danny, (cause my head has been hurting and I'm not very good at creating people anyways), so please help! They'll only have 1-4 paragraphs later on in the story, but it would help a lot just to get what they look like, act like, and like to do. If you don't wanna, thats cool, but it would still help xP

Did I mention morning-star57 is awesome? Yeah, thats it.

So without more of my blabbing, here are the great reviews!:

I kissed danny and he liked it:

You could end the story and vlad getting together and becoming strippers for all I care. This story was amazing and I can't ask you for more

Thank you very much! But I think we should leave the stripping to out lovely DP boys, hmm? ;) lol! I really do appreciate your kind words, and I'm super glad you like my story :D

TearsDrippingDown:

I'm glad you like my suggestion :) if you need help writing another chapter I'm free XD PLEASE UPDATE SOON!

Anytime dear! My PM is always open! :) I kinda suck at being consistent with my stories, so if you're willing, I'd love some help! :D

And sorry its taken me so long, but there is another chapter!

Some Weird Chick:

Wow, this is just to cute *sniff*, I'm not crying, it's the fluffs magical powers that make could make grown men into sobbing teenage girls at a romantic tragedy. The chemistry you made between them is amazing, this relationship shouldn't have been able to be describe by words, yet here you are writing it, like it's child's play. You put this together, like they would in a movie, something mysterious happens then a hint of fluff, then the tragedy, then fluff-explosion, then a little twist..., dear god no, your going to do something that twist the story aren't you? And don't lie, I don't think I can take it (JK, LOL), Can't wait for next chapter. :)

Thank you so much! :'D Your comment seriously made me believe that I'm doing something right! I'm so happy you're pleased with my fic, and I'm sorry if I made you have magical fluff feels :o its all Aaron's fault!

But, really, thank you so much!

fullestteen:

I actually do love those ideas you have and also TearsDrippingDown had about Jazz finds out about her brother. That would be good too. But I really do like if you bought Danny and Aaron to school and just have that open relationship.
Anyways, I love your writing style and how just everything flow's so neatly keep up the good work. *thumbs up, and round of applause* Aaron and Danny makes the CUTEST ADORABLEST COUPLE EVER!

Haha, thank you very much! I am continuing, and I plan to have that open relationship you mentioned :D (I showed only a teeny tiny sliver in this one of whats to come next)

Ahh! Thank you very much! I sometimes get very self conscious of my writing, so I'm very happy you enjoy it so :D

vampireharry the 2:

Another awesome chapter! I wouldn't mind the story ending on a happy note, but if you do continue the story, remember to include happy times amoung all the sad times and stress!

Of course! I wouldn't DARE drown Danny in sadness without some hugs and kissles from sweet little Aaron-boy and his family :O! And the feeeeeeeelllsss... yes, they are sure to come... but with happiness.

Morning-Star57:

-did I mention that I can't type your name on my word document without it automatically suggesting to spell it out?-

OH FUCK NO! There is NO WAY IN HELL that you're ending this story! Now if you are continuing(which you will) CAN I PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE WITH A SHIRTLESS DANNY ON TOP GIVE YOU SOME OCs?!

Yes of course! That PM was amazing, thank you so much! xD and also! - I promise to do much better with Alex next chapter!

kinitsukirihan:

While this is a complete story in and of itself, a sequel would be nice. Probably one that deals with the world outside of the loving enclave of Aaron's family. There is the trial, school reactions, flak from those who oppose such relationships. It would also be nice to see support from those outside the family as well. Are there ghosts in this universe? If so, what are the prevalent views with them? I imagine that since their bodies can change as their views/powers/opinions change that gender doesn't really mean much in the first place other than a point of reference.

Huh, thats a really interesting concept o.o I hadn't thought about bringing in ghosts from the show, thought I did fight with myself over it, because I really really want to, but no, thats a great idea! Have the opinions of the school and their peers vs the opinions of Danny's ghosts fri-enemy's. I totally didn't even think of that, and then I wrote in Meridan, and now I feel kinda cheap. . eghh Thank you so much thought! I really really appreciate it!

Midnight:

Amazing, perfect, whatever words that mean te same. I am so obsessed with this story and would love for you to put all the things about school in there. But that's totally up to you either way I'm super happy on how the story turned out.

I have continued it! wahahaha! xD

Thank you so very very much for your support! :D It really means a lot to me!

Silver-hearted-girl:

You have a talent for great writing. This could end here perfectly but i don't want this to end. They are so cute together Danny and Aaron. I think keep going and see what happens. It could even strengthen Danny and Aaron's relationship. I would love to see that.

Absolutely! Aye aye Captain! XD

I have continued! On with the crazy show!

Supaherolena02:

- your username does the same thing.. My word document automatically fills in your name!-

I love how this ended! I think you could mark this fic as complete and make sequels to talk about all those ideas you said, that way if people want to end it on a fluffy happ note, they can :) if you make a sequel, though, I'll be really happy :D I love Aaron a lot!

Aaahhhh I'd rather keep going to confuse people xP

aannndddd I don't know how to do all that xP

Thanks bffffn!

alixanderbolster:

YOU HAVE TO CONTINUE THIS!

YESSIR~
