Chapter:11
Disclaimer: I do not own PJO, if I did I would make Jason Grace more interesting
Hello my pretties! *dodges an onion* gets smacked in the face* Sorry. I had finals recently, and I had 2 softball games and a friends party and a lot of stuff. In one of my classes, the projector NEVER EVER works! I swear, for every other period it works, today it turned green and blue and green again, it made a weird sound, and the thermostat on the wall hissed at us...again. Don't ask. Anyway, sorry I haven't updated in a while, better late than discontinuing the story right? Well, here you go, chapter 11 of "Death's Prankster"
Previously on DP:
"Oh my gods! You're such a cocky jerk!" I yelled, people turning their heads towards us.
"Yeah! I may be! But at least I don't go around moping all the time!"
"I'm sure you did at one point!" I yelled back.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean? At least I'm not some antisocial bitch who cries about her brother day and night!"
I stared at him shocked. He must've realized what he had said, because he tried to stutter something out, but he couldn't. As soon as I gathered my senses, I punched him in the throat, hard. I wouldn't be surprised if his voice was permanently damaged.
"YOU ARE SUCH AN ASS" I screamed at him as he fell, clutching his throat. I kicked him in the stomach. That was going to give him a bruise. Everyone was looking at me, shocked. I didn't care though.
"F*ck you, di angelo" I whispered in his ear, then I took off running for the woods as fast as I could.
I didn't know how long I had been there, when I heard a twig snap.
CASSIDY'S POV
I immediately stood up and spun around, pulling my sword out. No one was there, so, blame my ADHD, I called out "Who's there?" A woman stepped into the clearing. She had luscious, black, wavy hair. She wore flowing black robes, and had a strange air about her. She radiated...something powerful. Her eyes were black, and they held no emotion. I had a voice yelling inside me, screaming "RUN! IT'S A TRAP!" over and over again. But, there was also a small voice saying "wait". The woman stepped closer, and I stepped backwards, holding my sword out in front of me.
"Who are you?" I asked. The woman didn't answer, she simply nodded her head towards the trees behind her. She wanted me to follow her. I had a feeling in my gut telling me it was okay. She walked off, and I followed her. As we entered a part of the forest that I had never been too, she stopped abruptly. She turned to face me, a light smile playing at her lips.
"Hello Cassidy" she spoke with a very soft voice, yet authoritative.
"H-How do you know my name?" I said, stuttering a bit. She smiled at me, a playful look on her face. She had hazel eyes, very similar to Joseph's. Her face was well rounded, and she had a confident aura about her. Confident and powerful.
"I'm surprised you do not recognize me, dear" I don't know why, but that's when my personality came back into play.
"Well, sorry to burst you bubble, lady, but I have no clue who the hell you are" I growled.
She scowled at me and said, "I would think you would be more polite to an immortal being" she said , glaring at me. I immediately noticed that she didn't say "goddess", she said "immortal being".
"I am doing you a great service" she commented. She flicked her wrists, and ropes appeared. They rushed at me and started wrapping themselves around my arms, pulling me up against a tree. I screamed out, hopeful to get another camper to hear me. Hell, even if it was Nico di ''freaking idiot'' Angelo. I cloth appeared out of nowhere and it was shoved in my mouth. I gagged because of the sudden fabric. When I couldn't make any noise, and couldn't move at all, the woman looked sad.
"I'm very sorry child, but I must do this." I was about to cuss her out in my head, when I became enveloped in darkness.
NICO'S POV
I woke up in the infirmary. It was quiet, meaning who ever was taking care of me would be back in a bit. I looked around, the was nectar and ambrosia next to my bed. I leaned of to grab it, but my stomach really hurt. Then I remember what happened. Gods! I tried to curse, but I could only get little squeaking sounds out. Gods, Cassidy is an idiot. I hope she didn't permanently damage my vocal cords, then I wouldn't be able to insult her anymore without squeaking. I lifted up my shirt to see bandages wrapped around my abdomen. I had to give Cassidy come credit though, she threw a great punch. Not that that was a complement, of course not. Suddenly, the door open, and my nurse came in. She hadn't noticed I was awake yet. She was stirring some medicine together. She walked over to me, and I pretended to be asleep. She slapped me. My eyes flew open and I held my cheek.
"Wake up" she said bluntly, and went back to stirring her medicine.
I sat up slowly, not wanting to get slapped again. She handed me a glass of golden looking stuff. I drank it. It tasted like, peppermint and I immediately felt better. Suddenly the girl grabbed my shirt, by my neck, and looked me straight in the eye.
"Hi, I'm Amber, and you're gonna wish you weren't born if you keep doing things like that to Cassidy. Alright?" She asked in a very non friendly tone. I shoved her off me, and sat up, despite the protests in my abs. I grabbed the nectar and drank it in one big gulp. I ignored the ambrosia and turned on the girl.
"Why would you care? You can't be one of her friends! She doesn't have any!" SLAP! She hit me again.
"I'm trying to be! She just has trust issues!" she paused to take a breath, and that's when I turned around and started walking out the door.
"UUUGGG! WHY DO I HAVE TO GO ON A STUPID QUEST WITH YOU!" She screamed. I froze dead in my tracks. What?
-Line Break-
Well, once this girl, Amber, explained that while I was unconscious Chiron had called a meeting with all of the head counselors once I woke up.
"Alright, campers, we have a new prophecy on out hands" he said. We all groaned. No one like prophecy's. It usually meant "ding-dong-ditching" death's door.
"Well, as many of you know, Cassidy has gone missing" a few people gasped. I looked around and noticed that Clarrise wasn't there. Instead, in her normal seat was a girl with brown hair and blue eyes. It didn't matter though, I just wanted to get out of here.
"Well, apparently you didn't know that...Well, anyway...she is missing" he said. I heard someone mumble "we got that". Probably one of the Stolls. Chiron cleared his throat.
"Well, anyway, a prophecy has been said about her absence. Connor, would you care to read it?" he said as Connor stood up, scroll in hand. He drew a breath...
PLEASE READ! Sorry it's so short! I truly am sorry I couldn't have updated. If you are an author your selves, you know it's hard to want to update sometimes.
