Alternate Mobile Paradigm: Gundam SEED Seraph

Phase 11 – The protector of the Azure sky

"Kira Hibiki, Liberta, Here I go!" –Kira would signify his launch with both Esther and Lacus looking has been 10 years since the man who would be known as the Knight of the Azure Skies has first done his role as 'protector'. At first it was to protect his friends from the horrors of war, during the second war, it was to protect the ideals He and Lacus hold dear. And now, before him, stands another obstacle.

"I've picked up at least 13 GiNN MkIV's on your trail, Kira." – Lacus would notify him about the opposition.

The Liberta quickly accelerates and engages the opponents. Without the wing-mounted "Baleanas" he could only rely on its sheer speed. Though given the optional equipment that Kira was able to muster up, during the short time he was with Ssigh, he manages to trick his adversaries.

Blitzing through the first opponent, he uses a combination of the Panzer Eisen, which is a rocket anchor, the beam sabers, and the Sheer speed and momentum of the Suit, he dispatches the first of the GiNNs in a breakneck pace. Seemingly leaving himself open to counter-fire, he throws a beam boomerang mounted on the Strike-R's shoulder.

"It seems like this suit has been fine-tuned to my old fighting style, better not shame Ssigh on deciding to craft it that way." –Kira would comment after offing two more GiNNs by using the Anti-Ship Sword on one, and then shooting a point-blank shot on another's sensor, rendering the other dead in space.

Meanwhile, little do Esther and Lacus know that they already fell into the opponent's hands.

"He's improved since the last battle." –A surprised Lacus would tell her captain.

"He was just confused when he first piloted the Strike-R. It really was nostalgic to him. Good thing Ssigh came up with an idea of using the Freedom-Alpha, rather what's left of it to make a great striker pack. I think it's a great compromise between his two styles."—Esther would reply.

"But something feels fishy, Lacus. It feels like they're drawing Kira further from us." –As Esther would say that, a tremor would rock the ship. Beam Fire just grazes the Seraph's left wing.

"We sustained 25 percent damage, compensating power output. Esther, Kira was lured out into engaging that decoy squad. We walked right into a trap." –Lacus would warn.

"How could we be so careless!? Could we maintain communications with Kira?"

"As it is now, our signal is being jammed, I'd suggest we do something; anything."

As they discussed different evasive and defensive maneuvers in haste, Lacus would receive a call from the opposing flagship, the Athene.

"It has been a long time since I've heard your voice, Pink Empress Clyne. Perhaps it will be the last." -an arrogant Andreas would greet Lacus. As the transmission ended, the Athene launches a whole squadron of newly-minted GiNN MkV's on course to finish off the seemingly helpless Seraphim Class Ship.

While Kira was engaging the decoys, he notices that he's veering away from the Seraph. As always, he was worried and from his point of view, everything slowed down again, but this time a familiar, yet impossible voice was heard.

"You're looking lost, Kira." – Fllay says.

"I…don't know whether what I'm fighting for is right anymore." –Kira replies to the vision.

As Kira's eyes go blank and everything around him goes slower by his perception, Kira's reaction speed and the Liberta's Ex-MAT would come into play, Lacus would realize that She's just being a burden to both Esther and Kira, by being just a target.

"I…must fight back." –Lacus would utter into the bridge and would follow it up with;

"Esther, do you have anything we could surprise Andreas with!? Any tricks?"

"I'm thinking about it as we speak, Lacus. Just give me time." –Esther would reply.

As all seemed lost, Esther would receive a transmission from Kira, as the Liberta has already dispatched most of the opposing suits that initially were in the pursuit.

The only downside is that The Liberta has spent its Ex-MAT over just the welcoming committee; Kira would need to work doubly hard since using the feature means that there's an output penalty once completely drained. In other words, the former General would try to make do with what he currently has.

Esther would be surprised with what Lacus tells her;

"I'm taking weapons systems control, Esther. Kira doesn't need to expend everything just to protect US. We need to participate too!"

"Arming Weapons; Loengrins #1; #2 , Sledgehammers, Valliants #1, #2 , Gottfrieds #1 and #2, wait for manual Lock" -Lacus said with confidence while Esther ponders on what the pink princess has in store for the opposition.

"I'll buy us time before you can lock everything"

"Don't worry, let's just move forward with it. Nothing will happen if we don't all move towards our goal."

Lacus' eyes suddenly went blank, and her perception of the battlefield would be different. At that moment, the enemy's movements felt more vivid, thus she can anticipate where an enemy is going to. Carefully applying the new abilities to the fold, Lacus would send out a full volley of the Seraph's weapons to multiple targets, with great accuracy.

Kira looks on as the Seraph takes out 2 of the Minerva's escorts.

"That range... I can't believe that ship took out two Nazca's in one volley from such a distance, What Is this !?" -a stunned Andreas says.

The only drawback to the move is that the Seraph has already expended all its ammunition for its physical weapons, namely the Valiants and the Misile launchers.

"We're a sitting duck, Lacus. How far away is the Strike from us? " -Esther worries.

Luckily for the dames, Kira radios them.

"That's some good shooting out there, I didn't know you had it in you, Lacus."

As the ambush team sends a retreat signal, Lacus would reply in glee.

"I really didn't know until today… that I'd be willing to pull the trigger when it came to saving what we believe in. I really want to thank you and Esther for giving me that strength."

The Seraph disengages the targets and resumes its course towards the Earthsphere.
