Gaia nodded slowly, "Would you like to change now, or would you rather do it in front of our audience."

Jack turned to Emma, when she noticed her hesitation, "You can do it right here Emma, I won't be mad."

"No," Emma said, "I want them to see it...please..."

Gaia nodded. She stood and motioned for the sisters to follow her.

They stood and walked out.

Andrea sighed in mock relief as Emma reappeared.

The woman, Guy-uh*, stood in the center of the Winter section.

She held her hands up, and all the spirits gasped.

Rapunzel, who was sitting next to Andrea, shrugged at the elder woman's questioning glance.

"MY FELLOW SPIRITS, BROTHERS, SISTER, CHILDREN AND LOVED ONES!" She exclaimed, "I FOUND A NEW SPIRIT FOR WINTER! FINALLY, WINTER WILL HAVE ITS SPIRIT OF SORROW!"

'Spirit of Sorrow?' Merida couldn't help but wonder who it was.

Gaia smiled. "SHE IS WITH US, HERE TONIGHT!"

She was here?

Wait...

Gaia gestured behind her, where Jack and Emma stood.

But...Jack was already a spirit...so that meant...

no...no...

NO!

"NO!" Andrea sat up as Emma walked forwards. "EMILIA JOSEPHINE OVERLAND, GET OVER HERE!"

Emma shook her head defiantly.

Gaia lifted her hand, vines wrapped around Andrea's wrists, preventing her from moving.

The Queen of Nature then went on to hold the gem about Emma's head, "Bēi'āi*, Sister of Joy, Keeper of Sorrow, Protector of Love and Family, do you swear upon your life, to keep balance in the world? To bring forth gried? To ensure the heart isn't a stranger to heartbreak and sorrow? And to ensure that nothing threatens who we protect? Who we love? And who we've died for?"

Emma nodded, a bit confused on her new name, "I do."

Gaia slammed the gem into her hands, shattering it, and allowed the falling dust to land on Emma.

Emma gasped and fell to her knees.

She shook violently.

Everyone, spirit and human alike, stood, and watched in awe and horror, at the sight before them.

Emma stood up, her knees shaking, but she managed to stay up right.

Her hair, slowly turned into a shade of lavender, with a few streaks of darker, almost black, purple.

Her eyes, became a brilliant of shade of blue.

Her dress and boots faded to white.

But the biggest change of all, were the beautiful angel wings that burst from her back.*

"Bēi'āi!" Gaia waved to Emma, "OUR WINTER SPIRIT OF SORROW!"

"Bēi'āi!" The other spirits repeated, the winter section clapping loudly for the young girl.

Jack ran over and picked her up, swinging her around.

Emma laughed, her smile anything but sorrowful.

Review!

Okay, so this story is coming to an end. There will be a sequel, which will be a series of one shots involving Emma as her role as the Spirit of Sorrow, her becoming a Guardian, YES I SAID IT!, and much much more. There may even be a bit of romance between her and Jamie. Who knows? Oh wait...my mind does. Haha!

*How some of the visiting humans pronounce Gaia's name.

*It means Sorrow, I believe in Mandarin, but I can't remember if it was Mandarin or another language.

*Just look at the cover.
