Hello readers! I am finally back with this story! i have been putting this particular story on hold mostly because I lost inspiration for it and after watching season 2 of Korra i just hated everything about the tv show. BUT after watching the beginning of season 3 i began to see the show in a whole new light and decided to give Korra and her friends another shot :)
So i will be continuing this story! I made this chapter extra long just for you guys as an apology for making wait soooo long for an update! I will try to update as much as I can!
Now onto the story!
Enjoy!
The news of Amon being Tarrlok's brother stunned Korra. She and Mako had just returned from the jail cell Tarrlok was being kept in. Now the two had no idea where to go from there.
"Now what?" Korra asks as she and Mako slip off their equilist masks.
He scratched the back of his neck and sighed "We need to get to Amon, find a way to let all his supporters know that he's a phoney, then maybe we'll have a chance."
Korra bit her lip in thought "Amon and the Equalists took over the arena right? Maybe that's where they're all hiding. We have to go check it out and bust the place."
Mako nodded "Alright let's get going, the sooner we get there, the sooner we can face Amon."
With a determined nod Korra slipped on her mask and followed the firebender towards the once glorious arena.
The sound of the flying contraptions blew over the three on Naga, Iroh instinctively ducked in head in fear of the pilots seeing the trio.
"I think we just found the secret airfield." The general says with a smirk jumping off the giant beast. He ran his hand through Naga's fur as Asami and Bolin join him on the ground.
"What do we do now?" Asami asked as they watching the planes take off into the morning sky.
Iroh glanced down below him then turned to the earthbender "Bolin I'm going to need you to block off that roadway, we can't have any more planes taking off." He orders.
"Aye Aye Captain- I mean, General!" he salutes with a cheeky grin causing Iroh to roll his eyes.
"Let's go." He says making a dash towards the takeoff building, Asami on his heels.
As they reached the fence post Asami raised an eyebrow in confusion "Why do they have a fence post with no fen-"
The feeling of a thousand volts went through their bodies, shocking the trio to the ground. The sound of ice crunching caused Iroh to open his eyes briefly to see a pair of boots standing before him before the pain was too overwhelming causing him to blackout.
Korra gazed from the bushes at the heavily guarded building to see equalists and giant metalbots surrounding it. She turned to Mako with a grin "Looks pretty guarded, you think we'll be able to get in?"
Mako snorted "That's the point of the disguise Miss Avatar." He replied before taking her wrist and dragging her to the side of the building.
They stood straight as soldiers, well almost like soldiers, and nodded their head towards any Equalist they passed by. These fools are idiots for having masks like this.
They continued up a flight of stairs to the judge's platform to get a better view. The sounds of cheers and chants echoed the arena as a crowd of people stood before a stage waiting for their 'hero' to make an appearance. The sound made Korra's stomach churn. These people had no idea what they were supporting, Amon was a liar and an evil bastard.
Mako turned to Korra and gave her a nod which she returned, it was time for Amon to pay.
Her eyes made her way to the smoke filled stage where Amon erupted from below. He held his hands up to calm the people and urge them to silence.
"Thank you all for joining me on this historic occasion!" he bellows out, his voice strong and proud. Korra imagines him smirking through his stupid mask. She rolls her eyes as he goes through his 'life story' or the damn lie he made up for sympathy.
"That's a lie Amon." Korra calls out slipping off her mask "Or should I say Noatak."
Gasps erupted through the arena, along with calls of anger towards the Avatar which consisted of curses and harsh words that she tried to ignore.
"Everyone calm down." Amon begins, the sound of amusment in his voice "Let's hear what the Avatar has to say."
Korra narrowed her eyes towards the masked man before facing the citizens below her "Amon wasn't blessed by the spirits with the ability to remove bending, he uses bloodbending. Amon is a waterbender"! she exclaims pointing towards said tyrant "His father is Yukone and his brother is councilman Tarrlok.
Murmurs echoed in the crowd at the Avatars words, could it be true? Was their said hero lying to them? Or is the Avatar lying herself?
Amon smirked "Making up stories about me is truly desperate Avatar, tell me, if I were lying, could this be made up?"
Korra and Mako watched in horror as Amon removed his mask to reveal the large and hideous scar that ran from the bottom of the left side of his chin to the top right side of his face, no doubt made by a firebender.
Korra stood in confusion, how did he have that scar? Did Tarrlok lie to her?
"No" she began shaking her head as the angry shouts of the people grew louder "He's lying, he's a bloodbender!"
Mako grabbed Korra's wrist "Come on, we said what we had to, let's get out of here." He urges as he held up his fist ready to protect his friend from the Equalists surrounding them.
"I wouldn't leave yet Avatar, you'll miss the main event." He calls out darkly.
Korra turned to see none other than her second family, Tenzin and his children chained and gagged to wooden posts.
"But they got away." She murmured to herself then glanced at Mako "We saw them get away!"
"Don't worry Korra, we'll save them" Mako replies softly before turning his angry gaze towards the stage.
"It is time to rid the world of Airbending…..forever." Amon announces making his way towards Tenzin.
"Mako do something!" Korra says frantically.
The firebender aimed in finger towards the stage as a bolt of lighting struck the wooden platform causing Amon and his colleagues to fly backwards due to the explosion.
"Come on, we have to get to them before Amon does!" Mako orders as they used there bending to get to the stage.
Korra angrily punched fireballs towards the Equalists and their leader. She quickly ran to her mentor and melted the chains down "Wheres Pema and the baby?"
Tenzin let out a breath as his children surrounded them "In a prison down below, I must get to them."
Mako glanced at Korra before nodded his head towards Tenzin "You guys go and release any prisoners, we'll handle Amon. Come on Korra."
Turning her gaze to the airbenders she nodded her head and followed the firebender down a lone hallway. "Mako he's following us!" Korra points out.
"Then block his path!" he says running through the hallway, Korra trying to keep up while lighting the halls with firewalls.
Please let them make it out alive.
Iroh woke to the sound of Asami and her father in angry voices. "How dare you! I am avenging her death!"
Struggling against his binds he realized he was tied up against Bolin, the stocky earthbender who caused his binds to be a little tighter than they really should.
The wild look in his eyes told the General that this man would be far from saving. He glared as an equalists soldier approached the jail cell. "Sir the planes are ready for take off."
"Good." An evil grin took over Hiroshi's face "Annihilate the fleet."
Bolin gasped as Iroh met the former CEO's gaze "That's right general, I intercepted your message to the Commander, I know exactly where they're hiding."
He chuckled darkly before walking away. It was time to avenge his wife once and for all.
Iroh turned his head slightly towards Bolin "I don't assume you can metal bend right?"
Bolin gave a humorless laugh "That is a no can do."
The general merely blew his hair from his eyes, a scowl set on his face.
"But we do have a NAGA!" the earthender says with joy as the polarbear dog leaps towards the metal bars "Oh and Pabu of course!" he says lovingly towards his fire ferret who was currently attempting to chew through the ropes holding them together.
Once free the General made his way out of the building "There's only one plane left! I have to catch it before it's too late! Bolin make sure you stop anyone in the way!" Iroh orders using his firebending to fly towards the last plane to take off.
Gripping as tightly as he could, he began to climb the plane currently at a steep angle "Come on Iroh, whats the point of training if you can't climb a lousy plane." He tells himself with a grunt.
Taking out the pilot was easier than climbing the metal contraption, what he didn't realize was that he was going to have to fly the plane.
'Agni help me.' He thinks as his plane shakily flies through the air.
Obviously I changed a few things in the plot but don't worry we still have one more chapter left until the end of the battle of Korra and Amon!
I was originally thinking of ending the chapter like the end of book 1 and just making a sequel to this but I have decided just to make it one whole book. There is a big surprise soon for you readers when it comes to Korra and the dreamy General Iroh! Can't wait for you guys to read it!
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Don't forget to favorite, review, follow, etc!
Until next time readers!
