As my due date got closer and closer I realized that I still had no clue where I was going to have my baby and when Berto saw me sitting on the bed looking pretty stressed he asked what was wrong.

"I just realized that I have no clue whatsoever where I'm actually having our baby. Probably should have worked that out a few months ago." I told him and he gave me a hug.

"Don't worry about it. I already worked that out months ago." He told me and I raised an eyebrow at him in surprise.

"And you were going to tell me that when exactly?" I asked and he chuckled before he explained. "At N-Tek? Are you sure about that? Wouldn't a hospital be a better idea?" And that's when he pointed to my hands and I sighed. "Oh yeah. My Turbo touch problem."

"That's a big problem. So we came up with a plan to have several of N-Tek's doctors help deliver our baby. And before you panic they also work at the hospital as their cover and are pretty much used to handling any emergency." Shock explained as he flew over and hovered beside me and Berto. When I heard that I sighed relieved and Berto smiled at me.

"Thank goodness for that. I suppose if I'd gone to a hospital I might end up destroying any technology I came into contact with." I said as Berto held me. "At least that's one thing I don't have to worry about."

"Yeah. Now all you have to worry about is having the baby." Shock pointed out and I groaned. "Did I say something wrong again?" He asked me and I shook my head as Berto chuckled again.

"Never mind. Man suddenly I'm really hungry." I complained and that made Shock roll his eye at me. "What?" I added as Berto stood up and offered me his hand. Just over eight months pregnant now I still couldn't believe that I was almost ready to have Claire and even though I was a little worried I'd been talking to both Sydney and Molly who gave me the same advice; don't stress out too much and if you need help just ask for it, don't feel like you need to do everything on your own.

"Other than hungry are you feeling okay?" Berto asked as he took my hand and walked me to the kitchen. Even though I was a bit heavier than the last few months I was still capable of walking where I needed or wanted to go. But like my friends said there was nothing wrong with having someone take care of me and it made me feel better as he helped me into a seat before walking over and making breakfast for himself and me. Now that I wasn't stressing about where I was giving birth I decided to enjoy being taken care of. That afternoon I was lying on the couch, my head resting on Berto's lap and Shock sitting on top of the armrest, while we watched TV. Suddenly I was shaken out of my peaceful mood when I heard someone knock on the front door. Sighing I sat up and Berto climbed to his feet to answer it as I watched on, wondering who would mess up my good mood like that. Then my frown turned into a grin when I saw Sydney and Kate standing in the doorway and before the door was fully open Kate rushed over and immediately tried to grab Shock but he was too fast for her and linked with me, hiding from the two year old.

"Aww. Steel does that too." Kate complained and I giggled as she laughed suddenly. "Hi Jessie. Hi Claire." She said and I cracked up laughing. "Hi Berto. Hi Shock. Wherever you went."

"Hi Jessie. How are you feeling?" She asked and I smiled back at her.

"Pretty good actually. I've stressed out a lot less lately. Thanks for your advice before too. It helps that I have two wonderful guys looking after me." I told her and Berto blushed slightly as he closed the door and walked back to me.

"Hey it's the least I can do for you after…okay I don't think I'll finish that comment." Berto said and that's when Kate looked from him to me, her head tilted to one side.

"After what?" She asked and I blushed, not wanting to explain what he meant to a two-year old. "What did he mean mom?" She said to Sydney who giggled.

"For…how should I put this? Oh I know. For giving her a baby." Sydney explained and Kate nodded after a moment, though I was pretty convinced that she'd ask that question again. "So anyway we came past to see how you three were going and…where's Shock?" She asked and that's when my best friend spoke.

"Linked with Jessie and staying put." He said and I burst out laughing. "Very funny Jessie." He added.

"Where's Max and Steel?" Berto asked and Sydney told us that after he finished patrolling Copper Canyon he'd drop by. The moment she finished speaking we all heard a bang and I jumped slightly. Seconds later I heard a knock on the window and I watched as Max Steel waved at us, hovering in midair using Flight Mode. Rolling his eyes Berto walked over and opened the window to let our friends in. Once inside Max changed from Flight Mode into his Camo mode and Steel detached as he walked over.

"Like to make a big entrance huh?" I commented as he grinned at us. Giggling Kate rushed over and Max leant down to pick his daughter up and she threw her arms around his neck.

"Show off." Berto commented and I grinned at him as Steel flew over to me. "So how'd the patrol go?" He asked Max as the only other Turbo user gave his daughter a kiss on the forehead.

"Pretty quiet out there. No villains and no evil Ultralinks." Max said and Kate smiled at that.

"Not like Steel and Shock." She said and I nodded, impressed that she knew a good one from a bad one. After Max set her down she immediately went after Steel who ended up being grabbed by the little girl. "Nice Steel." She said hugging him and he sighed pretending to appear annoyed though he actually seemed to enjoy being held.

"That's right. You're learning fast." I commented as Berto sat beside me.

"How are you by the way? I never got to ask." Max asked me and I smiled at him.

"Aside from having a little trouble walking I'm actually doing pretty good. Sydney and Molly gave me some great advice about not getting stressed out and I have to say it's working." I replied as I rested my head on Berto's shoulder. And that's when, for the second time today, there was a knock on the door. This time it was another member of Max's family and as Sydney opened the door I saw Molly standing in the doorway holding a pink box in her hands. Curious I sat up as she walked on and set the box down on the kitchen table. Once she did Molly smiled at me and Berto.

"Good to see you again Molly." Berto said as I climbed to my feet and walked over. Giving me a hug Molly asked how I was feeling.

"Not too bad actually. Walking is kind of a problem but other than that I'm doing pretty good." I answered as I stretched my aching back. "Other than my back aching now and then." I added and that made everyone laugh.

"Oh before I get sidetracked I brought something for Claire." Molly told me and as I walked over I wondered just what was in the box. I soon got my answer, grinning as I carefully removed a small pink and white dress.

"Aww it's so cute." I said and when Berto chuckled I turned my head to look at him, an eyebrow raised.

"Never thought I'd hear those words coming from you." He said and I smiled at him after a moment.

"Well it's a cute dress." I replied as he wrapped his arms around me. "Thanks Molly." I told Max's mom and she smiled at me.

"You're welcome though it might be a little while until Claire can wear it." She said as I gently placed it back into the box. "I saw it in a shop the other day and I instantly thought of you. I'm glad you like it."

"It is pretty cute." Shock said as he detached and went to get a closer look, forgetting that Kate was nearby. Instantly she giggled and releasing Steel stood and hurried over to him and Shock quickly rushed back to me, linking and Kate accidentally bumped me. Now off-balance I stumbled backwards and Berto stepped forward and caught me in his arms.

"Whoa that was close." I muttered as Berto helped me to my feet. "Thanks Berto." I said to him and he nodded as he took my hand, making sure I was okay.

"Sorry Jessie." Kate said looking downwards and I smiled down at her. "I didn't mean to trip you."

"Hey it's fine. Are you okay?" I asked her and she looked up, giving me a nod and a big smile. "That's a relief." Detaching again Shock sighed looking a little downcast and I smiled at him. "I'm fine Shock. It was only an accident." I told him and he finally nodded before flying down to Kate.

"Sorry Shock. I just wanted to play with you." Kate said to the Ultralink and he grinned before asking if she wanted to play tag. Nodding her head vigorously she hurried away, giggling and Shock shot after her. As they chased each other around the room I couldn't help laughing at the two of them. Well three when Steel decided he wanted in on the fun and took off after them. A couple of hours later Kate wore herself out and now asleep on the couch Max and Sydney decided to take her home so after Steel linked with him they left, Max carrying Kate in his arms, and after giving me a hug Molly left. As Berto closed the door I sat on the couch and Shock flew over to check on me.

"You alright?" Shock asked and I smiled at him, rubbing my eyes. As Berto joined me on the couch I yawned.

"Today wore me out a bit so yeah. Still it was nice to have our friends over." I replied as Berto wrapped an arm around my shoulder and I rested my head on his shoulder. As it turns out I was a lot more worn out then I originally thought because the next thing I knew I heard Shock say something to me. "Hmmm...what?" I mumbled and he chuckled as I opened my eyes. "Sorry I must have fallen asleep." I yawned.

"You weren't the only one." He told me and that's when I noticed that Berto was leaning against me, his head resting against mine. "I guess you weren't the only who wore themselves out." He commented as I smiled at my husband. "You know that's not a bad idea." He added as he yawned and I giggled. As I snuggled closer to my husband, Shock hovered next to me before coming to rest on the cushion sitting next to my leg. As I closed my eyes again I heard him sigh. Sometime later I felt Berto sit up and that woke me as he stretched and then looked down at his watch, still looking half asleep.

"Whoa. It's already 8pm." He muttered and as I sat up, rubbing my eyes, he grinned sheepishly at me. "Sorry to wake you, sweetheart." He added and I smiled at him.

"That's okay. I should probably get to bed soon anyway." I said just as my stomach growled and I burst out laughing. "After dinner of course." I added. A little while later we were sitting at the kitchen table eating spaghetti. As I ate I started thinking about how long I had left to go and noticing me staring off into space Berto gave me a smile.

"What's on your mind?" He said and I smiled back at him and Shock.

"I was just thinking about Claire." I replied as I twirled my fork around my bowl. "The months have flown by pretty fast. I still can't believe that she's almost here."

"Yeah soon we're going to be parents. Still doesn't seem so long ago that we all thought you had the flu." Berto replied and I giggled.

"Me too. It was a nice surprise though why I didn't figure it out earlier is a mystery." I said as I raised the fork to my mouth and Shock grinned at me. After eating the spaghetti on my fork I gave them both a smile. "Maybe because I was feeling so awful.

"Well you didn't seem like yourself at the time and I think we were more worried that you had an illness instead of a baby." Shock said and Berto nodded. After finishing dinner I began to feel pretty tired so after helping me back to our bedroom I lay down on my left side while I waited for Berto to get back from the bathroom I smiled as I remembered getting everyone together, with Kat's help of course, before telling them I was going to have a baby. Noticing the smile on my face Shock hovered in front of me. "You seem pretty happy." He commented and after I told him why he smiled too. "Yeah I remember that. Forge was a little annoyed at being called in to the Com Room until he found out why."

"Yeah. That was a pretty good day." I replied before I yawned. "Whoa where did that come from?" I said and he grinned at me before reaching over and pulling the blanket over me. "Thanks Shock." I said as I yawned again. Resting my head on a pillow I ended up dozing off and I didn't wake until Berto climbed into bed a short time later. When I felt him wrap an arm around my waist I smiled as he rested his head on my shoulders.

"Goodnight." He said to me and I whispered it back to him and to Shock as well before I fell back asleep.
