I let out a sound of contentment as dean hands me my much needed cup of coffee.

I blow off some of the steam before taking a sip, yeah gas station blend has got nothing on physically sitting in a cafe.

Sam walks away to answer yet another phone call. We've been calling every contact we can think of, pulling some from the dust. So far nobody has seen or heard from Dear old Dad.

Which can mean one of two things, they're lying and covering for him, or they really haven't heard from him.

The latter increases my worry ten fold.

"Your half caff-double vanilla latte is getting cold Samantha" Dean remarks as soon as Sam hangs up.

I chuckle as Sam rolls his eyes in response "bite me" he scoffs, sitting down.

"So... Anything?" I ask, even though I can already guess the answer by Sam's expression.

I inwardly sigh, if Dad doesn't want to be found he knows too damn well how to cover his tracks.

"No-nothing" Sam shakes his head

"He doesn't want to be found" I voice my thoughts, worry showing more than intended. Dean nudges me with his elbow.

"He's fine, its Dad" Dean says in an attempt to assure both me and Sam.

I let a small smile slip, it never ceases to amaze me how fast Dean goes into big brother mode.

"Hey, I found something" Dean says turning the laptop around. . .When did he pull that out?

"It's a news report out of Planes Courier. Ankeny, Iowa. It's only about a hundred miles from here"

"The mutilated body was found near the victim's car, parked on 9 Mile road" I read

"Keep reading" Dean urges

"Authorities are unable to provide a realistic description of the killer. The sole eyewitness, whose name has been withheld, is quoted as saying the attacker was invisible." Sam finishes

"So...we thinkn' a ghost?" I shrug

"Not sure, but its worth checking out" Dean suggests.

I sit in the front seat between the boys so I can sing with Dean next to Sam and annoy him.

Hours pass of mine and Dean's relentless singing of AC/DC and Zeppelin along with Sam's complaining.

We finally arrive at the frat house

. . .Interview time.

I move to step out of the car after Sam, his arm suddenly bars my exit.

"Whatcha doin' there Sammy" I raise an eyebrow.

"You're not going in" Sam says, as though the reason for him blocking my way is the most obvious thing in the world. Wait, I know what this is about. . .Guys.

"Oh really?" I laugh

"Holly, you're staying put. No way in hell are you ever going in a frat house" Dean shakes his head with his game face on and tone of voice to match.

I roll my eyes "We're working. Plus do you really think I'd hook up with a frat guy. . .Really"

"First of all 'you' and 'hook up' should never be in the same sentence. Actually screw that, should never be in the same thought. Even though we're on a job the answer is NO" Dean replies with finality.

"Yeah" Sam replies "I just got out of college, I know what's going on in the heads of frat boys like that and you're staying put" Sam points to the seat my ass is currently planted to.

I shoot them a bitch face worthy of the record books before sighing in defeat.

"Oh cheer up kiddo. You'll get to kill something later" Dean smirks

"Yeah both of you" I remark. They let out a collective chuckle and walk away.

Well this is boring. I sigh and begin to tap my foot impatiently.

This blows, I know its because they care about me, I mean they're my brothers, but this is over board.

I continue to sit and wait. Jesus, its like a high efficiency oven in here. Even with the windows down.

"Screw this" I step out, pulling off my hoddie and making the decision to sit on the hood.

I tilt my head back and close my eyes, basking.

The sun feels amazing, its been awhile since I've had a minute to myself.

"A 67 right" A guys voice drags me from my moment of serenity.

I open my eyes, wholly expecting a dweeb in need of a good ass kicking

If someone told me my jaw dropped at this exact moment, I would've believed them.

The guy infront of me is tall, olive completed, with scruffy dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes. . .Overall, pretty to look at.

Jesus Holly stop gawking and say something! I internally scold myself

"Yeah, she's a beauty" I manage, patting the Pala's hood

"I'm Max" he says, extending his hand. I shake it, he looks to the charm bracelet Bobby gave me with a smirk.

"I'm Holland, but you can call me Holly" I introduce myself, sending him that famous Winchester smile

"Cute name, you know you have an amazing smile"he remarks

Well that was original but I find myself blushing anyways

. .Wait? I don't blush?

"She yours?" Max asks motioning to the car

"Yeah sort of, my brother's actually" I answer.

"Oh yeah those two new guys that walked in the frat?" he asks

"Yeah, we just transferred from Ohio state" I am so lying

"Good, will I be seeing you around then?" he asks with a smile

"There's a strong possibility" I nod

"Hold on a sec" I grab a pen out of the glove box and gesture for him to give me his hand, he complies

I write my number on his palm

"Nice, well I should go, your brothers are walking back and I would hate to get killed" he smirks

"I'm surprised you stuck around this long" I laugh

"See you around" he nods

"Defiantly" I reply sending him a smile back

The boys make it over. . . Here it comes, I cross my arms expectantly.

"What the hell was that" Dean states

"We said stay away from boys" Dean shakes his head

"You said stay away from the house" I smirk triumphantly, standing up straight.

"You're not allowed to date until you're thirty" Sam chuckles not taking this situation as seriously as Dean

"Really what were you two doing at fifth teen" I ask

"The exact reason you're not dating till' you're thirty" Dean replies, not missing a beat

I make a face feigning disgust

"Ewe De I didn't need to know that" I say. The look on my face causes both of them to start laughing.

"So what did you guys find in the forbidden guy haven" I ask rolling my eyes

Sam chuckles "well the girl our Vic was with, is the reverends daughter her name is Lori"

"Uh oh I hope his intentions were pure" I shake my head, smirking.

Sam sighs "we're going to church"

"Wow, we haven't been to church in...ever" I say

"Well we're going now" Dean sighs.

We drive to the church and walk in taking a seat in the back pew.

Everyone turns to stare at us. The reverend continues speaking, diverting their attention.

"Our hearts go out to the family of a young man who perished" Reverend Sorenson speaks.

"And my personal prayers of thanks go out as well because I believe he died protecting my daughter" He says gesturing at whom I'm assuming is Lori in the front pew."And now, as time heals all our wounds, we should reflect on what this tragedy means. To us, as a church"

"So, please, let us pray. For peace, for guidance, and for the power to protect our children" The reverend concludes. Everyone bows their heads in prayer, including Sam and Dean. I just sit awkwardly.

I don't necessarily like church. Me and whatever man or being upstairs have a complicated relationship.

I have never understood religion.

How could the world be so screwed and there be a God. What's he doing up there sitting on his throne and watching everything go down.

I have prayed once, at a very desperate time. But it did nothing for me or my situation. Why pray to a god who's never going to answer when I can take action myself.

But that's just how I feel about it. Dean's opinion is along the same lines, and I'm pretty sure Sam even has his doubts but he has enough faith for the three of us.

Everyone stands to exit.

I notice Lori getting up.

"Hey" I say pointing to her. We walk over

"Hi, are you Lori?" Sam asks

"Um...yes" She replies sending the three of us a smile

"Well I'm Sam this is my older brother Dean and our little sister Holland" Sam introduces us.

"Hi" she nods politely, sending an extra smile to Sam, I think she likes him.

"We're new here we transferred from Ohio state...we Heard what happened" Dean continues. . .Lying minds think alike.

"Yeah I noticed you guys come in the back" she says, who didn't notice our entrance?

"We're really sorry, we know what its like to lose someone in a way like that... Something you don't forget" Dean says. Lori just nods her head in agreement. The Reverend is approaching behind her.

"Oh um Dad this is Sam, Dean, and Holland, they transferred from Ohio state" Lori gestures to us.

"Hello" he says shaking all three of our hands

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I must say, that was an impressive sermon" Dean states

"Thank you very much" he replies

"It's so nice to find young people who are open to the Lord's message"

"Listen, uh, we're new in town, actually" he starts, leading the reverend away. "And were looking for a church group"

I follow behind them.

"Well, we're always looking for new members there is no power like the one of Christ" the reverend says

"We would love to be a part of your congregation" Dean gives a fake smile, nudging me

"Is that so" The reverend asks

"Absolutely" I reply sending him my trademark smile

"Excellent, we would love to have you three, see you on Sunday" the reverend smiles kindly before walking off.

"Well that was an experience" I sigh climbing into the backseat. Sam's already here, he's been waiting for us

"so what'd you find out Sammy?" I ask hitting his shoulder

"She says that she didn't see anything, but was sure something was there I think it's time we did some research" Sam suggests. We head to the library and take a seat in the back, as always.

"So you believe her?" I ask

"I do" Sam states

"Yeah, I think she's hot, too" Dean chuckles

"No, man, there's something in her eyes plus she heard scratching on the roof and the bloody body suspended upside down over the car"

"No way" I state in disbelief

"The hook man" Dean says

"Just...no Way. I mean really what is this? First bloody Mary and now the hook man. Is everything you guys tell me to scare the crap outta me real... I mean C'mon THE Hook man there's no way" I laugh in denial

"If it is the hook man we have a lot of work to do" Sam says motioning to all of the books on the table

I whine along with Dean, we pick up our books and start the endless torture that is research.

"maybe the Hook Man isn't a man at all. What if it's some kind of spirit?" Sam suggests rubbing his temples.

"Ugh, you could've mentioned that an hour ago" I complain. Dean stands up rustling my hair before walking off to ask for arrest records

"Here you go. Arrest records going back to 1852" the librarian says, putting a huge dusty box on the table.

"Thanks" Dean scoffs opening the box. "So, this is how you spent four good years of your life, huh?" he asks Sam.

"Welcome to higher education" Sam remarks before looking down at his book.

About three hours pass. I can't take it anymore.

"Dean, you got your pistol on you?" I question.

"Yeah, why?" He asks

"So I can shoot myself" I roll my eyes, leaning back in my chair.

Dean chuckled "I know what you mean Kiddo" he says nudging me with his foot.

I look over to Sam, he's reading intently

"Hey, check this out in 1862. A preacher named Jacob Karns was arrested for murder. Looks like he was so angry over the red light district in town that one night he killed 13 prostitutes. Uh, right here," He points to the section he's reading.

"Some of the deceased were found in their beds, sheets soaked with blood. Others suspended upside down from the limbs of trees as a warning against sins of the flesh."

"Pleasant" I remark

"Get this, the murder weapon?" Sam pauses

"Looks like the preacher lost his hand in an accident. Had it replaced with a silver hook" He smiles triumphantly

"Guess where it went down" Sam says

"9 Mile Road" Dean sighs

"Same place where the frat boy was killed" I nod.

"Nice job, Dr. Venkmen. Let's check it out" Dean teases

The boys drop me off at the motel I have had it for the day.

I just want to sleep.

I lay down on the couch. Earlier I caught a strange feeling, like a bad vibe from Lori at the church. Its odd, and becoming increasingly harder to shake.

For now I manage to shrug it off, which probably isn't a wise idea. . . But I'm tired.

I'm running again, through the same dark forest the same man is after me. My legs and lungs feel like they're on fire but I have to keep going. My foot catches on something, I hit the ground hard, a fucking tree root! REALLY! The pain in my knee is immediate.

No! I'm not dyeing like one of those stupid teenagers in a horror movie. I quickly stand and continue running. I look back to see if I'm being followed.

I turn forward and run straight into the man. But instead of colliding he stops me.

"What do you want?!" I scream, finding my voice "Why are you doing this?!"

He just lets out a emotionless chuckle.

I punch him in the face; it hurts like hell, like I just punched a brick wall.

Oh shit. . .He says nothing but he looks pissed.

He suddenly grabs my wrists, an excruciating pain courses through me.

I let out a scream, jolting awake, I'm on the couch in the motel. There's a sheen of sweat covering me.

I sprint to bathroom and immediately splash cold water on my face.

I stand and face the mirror. Running my hands through my hair, something catches my eye.

Bruises! On my knuckles and red welts starting to turn into bruises on my wrists

What the fuck!

Emergency sirens drag me out of the bathroom; I toss on my gray hoodie, blue jeans, and converse.

I dial both the boys a million times but neither of them answer. Fuck it, I'll walk.

The sirens lead to Lori's frat house, I notice tall and taller already there.

"Do you two not know how to answer a damn cell phone?" I approach them

"Sorry kiddo, we were in a situation" Dean sighs

"A situation in which you didn't have the capability to answer your phone" I say, still pissed and edgy from my dream, was it a dream?

"We got arrested" Sam explains in disdain.

My anger melts into humor

"How was jail? Did somebody make you their bitch" I say, in between laughter.

"Shut it"Dean scoffs

"So how'd you make it out of the slammer shawshank" I ask smirking

"Told them Sammy here was a dumbass pledge, hunting ghosts with rock salt bullets" Dean smirks

"You look like a dumbass pledge" I laugh as Sam shoots me a bitch face.

"So what happened here?" I ask, there is cops swarming the frat.

"Lori's roommate was murdered" Sam answers

"Well then" I shake my head

"We need to get in there" Sam says. They both turn and look at me. I immediately roll my eyes.

As soon as the cop activity dies down, no pun intended, I head inside evading the remaining and make it to Lori's room.

There's so much blood, and a message written on the wall written in. . .You guessed it! Blood!

"Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights" I read with a shudder.

I snap out of it, walking over and unlocking the window.

I help Sam in first, he turns around to help Dean. I hear a crash, Dean's in a heap, looks like he landed on Sam. I chuckle

"Sorry" Dean says

"Be quite" Sam says, Dean just grins

"You be quite" Dean remarks. I smirk.

They're like two bitching girls

"Guys, shut it maybe you can take prison but I'm to pretty for jail" I smirk, they both laugh

"Hey look at this" I said pointing to a small symbol next to to the writing.

All of the blood is dried up now. I ghost my fingers across it. The same vibe I picked up from Lori is hitting hard. Its overwhelming, I feel sick to my stomach. I gasp, jumping back.

"What's wrong" Sam and Dean ask in unison

"Nothing" I shake my head, eyeing the wall wearily. "just a feeling" I mutter to myself.

We head back to the motel to do more research.

"What's on your mind Kiddo?" Sam asks, dragging me from my thoughts. I look over to his spot at the table.

"I'm not sure but something is connected to Lori, hey what if she's controlling this thing?" I suggest on a whim, a very strong whim.

"No way" Sam starts

"She was too freaked out by the incidents" Dean adds

"Of course" I scoff

"The hell was that" Dean says

"I said of course, just because she's the reverends daughter and perfect she can do no wrong, ever heard of acting" I say, annoyed

"Holly that's not what we're saying here" Sam tries to calm the situation. Everything is building, I still feel sick from Lori's, and my dream has been eating at me all day.

"What the hell is up with you lately? Huh you've been acting weird" Dean says, and I want to get away. I know what will happen if I don't.

"I am weird" I stand turning to walk away.

I feel a hand close tightly around my wrist,

"Ah!" I let out a yelp of both shock and pain.

"What the hell Dean!" I exclaim.

He's looking at the bruising on my knuckles, I try to pull away but he has a death grip

"Holly" Sam is concerned now too, this is not what I wanted.

I struggle as Dean rolls up my sleeves, the handprints are now bruises.

"What the hell happened?!" Dean yells "Who did this to you?!"

I look you Sam pleadingly for support, he just stares at me in shock.

I yet again feel cornered

"I did this to myself!" I snap "wanna know why Dean, because I'm a fucking freak with these fucking damn abilities!" I rip out of his grip, and start walking towards the door.

I pull it partially open, a hand slams it closed from behind me. I turn around to face Dean. "No you can't just walk away and expect everything to be fine!" He yells

"Dean" Sam sighs, right behind him.

"No Sammy I've had enough either she talks or this continues" Dean states

"Let me go!" I try desperately to open the door but Dean is stronger and he's holding it closed.

"I hate you" I state, looking him dead in the eye.

"No you don't" he says in a serious tone looking me straight in the eye right back.

"Now talk" he states.

I can feel the tears rolling down my cheeks.

I slide down the wall so I'm sitting on the ground with my head between my knees.

I hear a sigh as Dean crouches down eye level with me.

Sam sits on the edge of the bed facing us, with his damn sympathetic look. "What's going on Holly?" Sam asks in a softer tone than Dean

"Nightmares" I answer, barely above a whisper "this happened in a fucking dream" I say frustrated

"What do you mean?" Dean asks a bit calmer now

"It's the same all the time. . . I'm running through a dark forest this guy is after me I either stop or trip and he puts a hand on my forehead and the dream ends." I say as they look like they're still trying to process what I just said.

"This time I tried to change the ending, I tripped then he appeared and I questioned him, he laughed so I punched him in the face, he grabbed my wrists, I felt pain, and I woke up" I proceed

"Are you happy, now you know everything" I say "can I leave now?" I ask

"Hell no" Dean states harshly

"How often does this happen?" Sam asks

"Now, almost every time I close my eyes" cry "I told you Sammy I'm a freak"

It actually feels good letting the truth out.

Dean wraps his arms around me, I try to pull away but he won't let me.

"Kiddo we'll figure this out" Sam says optimisticly

"But the case is more important" I say.

Dean pulls back and looks at me like I've grown a second head.

"No its not" he states deadpan

"Yes it is, I help save people, it makes me feel normal, like things are back to normal" I say truthfully

"Okay, then we have work to do" Sam says, as he helps me to my feet.

We walk back to the table. In the mists of my out burst I didn't even hear my phone go off. Its a text from Max asking me if I want to go to a party tonight.

"Hey check this out" Sam says, Its a picture of the hook, it has the same symbol that was on Lori's wall.

"We should keep an eye on Lori" Dean says

"Where would she be?" Sam asks

"I don't know Mr.. Joe college this is up your alley" Dean remarks

"There's a party tonight" I sigh

"Then lets go" Dean nods

We drive to the party after much convincing that I am fine.

Its loud and obnoxious, and really hard to see.

I don't find Lori, I bump into Max instead.

"Hey" I greet.

"Hey Holly" he smiles.

"You want a drink" He asks

"Sure" I reply. He hands me a red cup I pretend to take sips out of it.

I know better than to drink on the job.

"Lets go somewhere less obnoxious" he yells. He takes my hand and leads me outside.

We end up sitting on the back porch of the house

"Better?" He asks

"Much" I nod, an awkward silence settles between us.

"Nice bracelet" He remarks

"Oh thanks my uh, my uncle gave it to me" I say, caught slightly off guard.

"So tell me Holly is hunting a family thing?" He asks. My mouth falls agape

"I don't know what you're talking about" I lie

"Christo" I whisper

"Did you just say Christo? I'm not a demon" He chuckles.

"C'mon, the anti possession charms on your bracelet, and I can see your gun in your waistband" He replies

"Oh" I say, pulling my shirt down.

"you're a hunter?" I question skeptically, he looks too pretty.

"Takes one to know one. I'll be honest so don't shoot me. I'm not in college I'm 17 my name is Max Anderson I live with my uncle Blake he's a hunter and he taught me the tools of the trade. I'm just working a case here" He says

"The Hook Man" I ask

"Yup, I know sounds crazy" he replies

"Yeah, crazy is relative, you can back off me and my brothers have it covered" I say, he nods taking a sip of his drink.

"So, spill you're not in college, well not with that baby face" He remarks smirking

"My name is Holland Winchester. I'm 15 years old, not in college and I'm with my brothers Sam and Dean" I say truthfully

He stares off in thought before realization crosses his face. "Wait Winchester, as in John Winchester?"

"How do you know my dad?" I ask raising an eyebrow

"He's worked with me and my uncle every now and then, he's like the best" he says looking at me with awe

"Wow John Winchester's daughter, my uncle is gonna kill me" He chuckles

"Well you haven't given him a reason yet" I smirk

"You're right" he replies cupping my face in his hands and landing a kiss on my lips. I'm taken a back at first but after a moment I return it fervently, this feels nice. He's a good kisser.

My phone buzzes in my pocket, the sound of Zeppelin's Ramble on fills my ears, Its Dean

"I have to go" I say, a little disappointed

"No problem Winchester" he says smirking, "when can I see you again?" He asks

"I'll be around Anderson, you have my number" I reply as I send a huge smile back

I walk through the house and out the front door.

Wow did that really just happened.

I meet Dean in the impala

"Where'd you disappear to?" He asks

"I was looking for Lori" I lie

"Why didn't you stick with us" he asks suspiciously

"Divide and conquer De, I figured we'd cover more ground that way" I say cheerfully

He doesn't seem to be buying my answer.

"Liar" he scoffs, I ignore him.

"Why are you in such a good mood" He questions

"I don't know De, can't I be happy" I reply, still smirking

"Yeah, sure" he remarks

"Where's Sammy?" I ask, taking the focus off me.

"Oh Lori left the party he's watching her" he explains

"You know under any other circumstances that sounds really creepy" I laugh

"Yeah" he chuckles "we are off to find the unmarked grave of Jacob Karns"

"Sounds like a good time" I say in pure sarcasm.

"Yup" he sighs "loads of fun"

My phone buzzes, thank god De isn't paying attention.

It's a text from Max.

'FYI the grave for Karns is most likely unmarked' I read, shaking my head

'Already on it Anderson' I reply

'Can't wait to see you again'

I laugh to myself, but I gotta give him a pat on the back. He's met my father and knows my brothers reputations yet he still continues to talk to me.

'I can't talk right now. As soon as I get away from from my brothers I'll call ;)' I snap my phone shut.

We're still driving. Its silent.

"Hey do we know an Anderson, he's a hunter?" I ask Dean

"Anderson" he ponders "Yeah uh Blake Anderson, he's a friend of dad's. Why?"

Rip if off fast like a band-aid Holls "Oh I met his nephew Max, he's working the case. I told him we have it covered" I answer

"Wait, Max Anderson. Oh hell no! Holly that better not be why you're so god damn happy!" Dean yells going into big brother mode

"No! No he's not" I reply

"God, you are such a bad liar" He chuckles

"Am not.."I remark nudging him

Okay when being confronted with something I have a tell, but when it comes to hiding things I am excellent.

"You do the same thing as Sam. The muscle on the left side of your jaw twitches" He smirks

"Funny, I can say the same about you" I joke, earning a laugh from Dean

"Oh kiddo, the things you don't know" he remarks.

We arrive at the cemetery, its all old and overgrown.

It takes hours to finally find the grave.

Dean starts digging as I hold the flash light for him.

We take shifts, its my turn to dig. I hit something solid

Dean grabs my hands and pulls me out of the hole before we crack open the coffin.

Its all bones, thank god its no rotting corpse, but it still smells regardless

I pour on the salt and gas as Dean throws the match.

We sit and wait until nothing is left.
