A/N: So I made this story like 2 years ago and totally forgot to post it but here ya guys go! ENJOY!
Pi walked into his best friend's house.
"God, Pi! Who did that to your fucking eye?!" Twister's voice shouted as soon as Pi walked in.
"Don't scream so loud. Sandy or Raoul will hear you! It's nothing, okay? I just got in someone's way when I shouldn't have been. It's no big deal." Pi walked up to him. Twisted was sitting on the living room couch, watching tv.
"Somehow I don't believe you, Pi." Twister frowned.
"What do you want me to say? I fucking fell skateboarding? I don't fall, I've been skating since I was seven. Just don't tell-"
"Don't tell who what?" Lars walked in the room. Both Twister and Pi looked up at him.
"Pi got a black eye, again." Twister informed him instantly. As if Pi hadn't just asked him not to tell Lars only two fucking seconds ago.
"Again? Outside, Pi." Lars turned toward the door where Pi just walked in from.
"But-"
"NOW, Pi!" Lars barked an order. Pi knew better than to argue this time. Lars opened the front door and waited for Pi outside on his front porch.
"Don't go ballistic. I've had a tough fucking day, I don't need you to be an asshole on top of bullshit." Pi crossed his arms and he looked away from Lars.
"Who the hell keeps beating the shit out of you, Pi? I know you. You're the toughest person I know. You don't just take shit from anyone. What's really going on?" Lars took a step towards him. His voice seemed to be that of concern. Well, this was Pi's third black eye in a month. Pi had a big mouth but was smart enough to keep it to himself most days.
"Why do you care? It's a stupid fucking black eye." Pi growled and then looked up at him. Lars appeared to be sad.
"This has been happening since your mom took your dad back. Is he... Hitting you?" Lars knew that his best friend's family was extremely dysfunctional. Hence why Pi was always such a jackass to everyone. Pi's family was full of assholes, drug addicts, and alcoholics. Pi found it hard to be nice or trust someone. Even Lars most times.
"No, I fell skateboarding yesterday." Pi shook his head.
"You fucking liar. You don't fall skateboarding!" Lars called him out. Pi closed his eyes and he sighed. Lars knew him to be the best at
"Okay, I fucking lied. So he hits me. All I have to do is avoid him. I'll be fine." Pi crossed his arms. Lars rolled his eyes.
"Because that's worked so fucking well for you so far. Hasn't it? Three black eyes in a fucking month, Pi? Even for me that's excessive." Lars snorted at Pi. Pi closed his eyes, his left eye still stung a bit. It was sensitive.
"That's because you don't expect shit from the people you bully. My dad expects me to go to college, Lars! I can't with the grades I get. It's not like I try to be stupid, I just can't be as smart as my dad wants me to be. He expects me to stop smoking weed and then he finds a bong and a few bags of weed in my room before I get home. He expects me to have a girlfriend, not fuck my guy best friend because I love him. I'm just a fuck up and I deserve to get punched for it, okay. Leave it the hell alone!" Pi opened his eyes and tears slid down his cheeks.
"Fine. Follow me." Lars began to walk off of his porch.
"Where are we going?" Pi asked while he followed Lars.
"Shut the fuck up and follow me." Lars walked across the cul-de-sac. Lars wasn't even going to respond to Pi's comment about them having sex because there was nothing to say. It didn't happen often but when it did, they both enjoyed it. It was something they kept quiet. Fighting over it now was pointless...
Not while Pi was fragile.
"Why are we at the Rocket house?" Pi rose an eyebrow at Lars as he knocked on the door.
"You'll see. Shut up." Lars grumbled at Pi. Pi just crossed his arms again.
The door opened.
"Lars? What are you doing here?" Trish frowned as she answered the door.
"Get Regina, will you? We have a problem that we need assistance with." Lars put a hand on Pi's arm. Pi looked over at Trish.
"God, Pi. Again? Who did you talk shit to this time?" Trish didn't sound too shocked. It was true... Pi got in too many fights. Nearly every day. He didn't give a shit about bruises. But getting hit by his dad was another story.
"Just. Find. Her!" Pi snapped at her. He didn't have a tolerance for Trish.
"Okay, fine. Don't have to be an asshole... Reg! Two idiots want you! Come inside." Trish let them in. Lars shoved Pi in the house first.
"Why the hell do we need Reggie?" Pi punched Lars in his gut.
"Shut the fuck up, Pi." Lars growled at him bitterly. He hated how impatient Pi was. That was one of Lars' biggest pet peeves about his best friend.
"Yes. You want me for something?" Reggie came downstairs and walked up to the two guys.
"Look at him." Lars pointed to Pi.
"Shit, Pi. That looks really bad. You got punched again?" Reggie asked him.
"No, I fucking fell skateboarding! Okay?" Pi snapped at her.
"Just tell her the fucking truth, Pi. Reggie doesn't talk shit about people." Lars rolled his eyes at Pi's ridiculous lie. Pi looked at Reggie and frowned, she just smiled.
"My dad moved back in this month. He drinks a lot and when he drinks he gets annoyed easily. I annoy him. So, he kind of... Hits me sometimes." Pi crossed his arms. He couldn't believe that he had to tell Reggie about his stupid family. But Lars would have told them anyway.
"OH MY GOD. Really? That's fucking child abuse!" Trish sounded shocked.
"No fucking duh, I know that!" Pi snapped at her. Lars put his hand on Pi's shoulder, a sign that always meant for Pi to calm down.
"Okay, come upstairs to my room." Reggie waved for them to follow her. Lars grabbed Pi by the hand and pulled him upstairs with them.
"Just wait." Lars told Pi as they walked into Reggie's room. Behind the boys, Trish followed them as well.
"Okay, so... Hold on. I have to get everything out." Reggie got into her desk drawer and started looking for something. Pi looked up at Lars with a confused expression. What the hell was she doing? "Aha! Here it is!"
Reggie threw a small bag onto her bed.
"Sit down, Pi." Reggie told him. Pi sighed, he let go of Lars' hand and walked towards the bed.
"What's all of that for?" Pi pointed to all of the makeup Reggie was dumping onto her bed.
"You, now sit still." Reggie opened her foundation bottle.
"I'm not wearing makeup! Forget it!" Pi shook his head.
"Do you want to explain why you have a fucking black eye to everyone for another week or not?!" Lars growled at him.
"Not really..." Pi rolled his eyes.
"Good, now shut the fuck up and sit still!" Lars barked.
"Oh, is that a fucking order?" Pi turned around and glared at his best friend.
"YES." Lars gave him the most unsettling look Pi had ever seen. It was a mix between fear and anger. But Pi knew much better than to argue again.
"Whatever." Pi crossed his arms and then faced Reggie.
"This won't take long." Reggie began to put foundation around Pi's eye.
...
Ten minutes passed. Pi squirmed and tried to resist the fact that he was going to wear makeup.
"And we're done." Reggie said while putting everything back into her bag.
"Look at me." Lars told him. Pi sighed then turned around to face him.
"So?" Pi asked him.
"Not bad, you can't even see it. Nice job, Reggie." Lars complimented.
"Wow, a compliment from Lars! Is the world ending?" Reggie laughed.
"Holy shit! It doesn't even look like you got punched!" Trish complimented too.
"That's the whole point... Let me see." Pi held out his hand for the mirror that was on the bed.
"Here, what do you think?" Reggie handed him the mirror. Pi looked at himself.
"Shit, that does look good!" Pi gasped in surprise. It honestly didn't even look like he got punched. Who knew makeup could even do that?!
"She's good." Lars put a hand on Pi's shoulder.
"Hey, thanks. I'm sorry for all the times I was always a jackass to you." Pi rubbed the back of his neck.
"No problem. Here, keep this. I have a feeling you'll need it." Reggie handed Pi her foundation bottle then took the mirror back from him.
"Really? You want me to keep it?" Pi frowned at her with confusion.
"Go ahead, I can just get more. Whenever you run out of that just find me, I'll get you more so nobody makes fun of you." Reggie made a deal and held out her hand.
"Deal." Pi smiled at her then shook her hand.
"If you ever say ANYTHING to anyone-"
"I got it! I don't have that big of a mouth. This is serious shit, I won't tell anyone!" Trish defended herself. She knew better than anything that this situation was serious. She couldn't and wouldn't tell anyone.
"Good." Pi sighed in relief.
"Thanks for the help, Reg. We should go back to my place now. We can even order pizza, I'm paying." Lars offered in a gentle voice.
"Really?! Cool! Wait, is this just because you feel bad for me?" Pi scowled at Lars.
"No, I never feel bad for you. You're a dick!" Lars chuckled at his best friend.
"Right... Well, we're going to go. Thanks again, Reggie." Pi stood up from her bed and put the foundation in his pocket so nobody would see it later.
After they got back to Lars' house. Lars ordered and paid for pizza. They then settled on watching some dumb action movie.
"How did you know to go to Reggie for help today?" Pi had been contemplating this all day. Why did Lars know Reggie could even help?
"I had that problem before... A few months ago. Raoul didn't hit me or anything. I just face planted after a bad move rollerblading and didn't want to be embarrassed by you. So, Reggie saw the whole thing happen and offered to help." Lars shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing.
"Really? A few months ago? I never saw a bruise." Pi's mouth gaped open in shock.
"Yeah? That's how good Reggie is." Lars wrapped an arm around Pi and leaned against Pi's side.
"You didn't want me to embarrass you? Why would I do that?" Pi frowned at Lars. Why would his best friend think that Pi would embarrass him?
"Because I only want to impress you and protect you, Pi. I wouldn't want you to think of me as... Weak." Lars kissed Pi's cheek.
"I've never once seen you as weak, Lawrence. You're the strongest person I know. In both the physical and emotional sense." Pi blushed then he ate another slice of pizza.
"You know... You're strong too, Pi. And I know that you can fight your own battles but you can't fight this. What's happening to you is wrong. I don't like seeing this happen to you." Lars looked him in the eyes. Pi bit his lip and frowned.
"What do you expect me to do? It's not like I can do anything to stop it." Pi had a point. It's not like he could do anything.
"You could stay here for a week, until things cool down." Lars suggested.
"Yeah and why should I live with you?" Pi snorted in an uninterested manner.
"Because we could share meals, you could sleep in my bed, and maybe you'll see me naked from time to time." Lars smirked widely at Pi in a somewhat seductive way.
"Okay, cool! I'm in!" Pi agreed quickly.
"Good... You know, I'll do anything I can to protect you." Lars kissed Pi's cheek again. Which Pi always enjoyed to be perfectly honest.
"I know it. Wanna fuck?" Pi offered as casually as possible then he stood up off of the couch. Lars set the empty pizza box on the floor.
"You don't have to ask, the answer will always be yes." Lars got up along with Pi. Pi started giggling.
"I'll bet you can't catch me!" Pi shouted before running down the hallway towards Lars bedroom.
"You're such a fucking child, Pi. I swear to god." Lars cursed and he sighed heavily. Pi was annoying. But Lars wouldn't have it any differently and he would honestly do anything to protect Pi. Lars would keep Pi away from his father as long as possible.
