I haven't updated in awhile! Hey guys, this is my chapter :)
11: Talk To Me
Iggy's POV:
You see loves a funny thing, the way it lingers in the mind. No matter what you do or the passing of the time, that ember still glows from those lovers behind. No matter if it's well remembered, that light still shines. She doesn't love me anymore, but I'll stick it out till the end.
This I had sworn.
There's always a seed before a rose. The more it rains, the more it glows. This doesn't help me...Max had been with me since childhood. I thought we would have gotten together. We share the same pain, we understand each other. I guess it doesn't matter anymore, huh? No...but I will always be by her side. Even if it's the hardest part.
Just...for now, I can't talk to her.
Max's POV:
It felt like an eternity since I've been home. I was laying on my bed texting Fang. We were sending cheesy and cliche love quotes to each other.
Me: If I could arrange the alphabet, I would put u and I together.
Fang: Cute. If I could pick up a chick. I would pick you, my little hen.
Me: Little hen?
Fang: lol. One more, babe. One love, two mouths, one love, one house. No shirt, no blouse. Just us, you find out.
Me: That was sweet! I really liked it. Even if you stole it form the song Sweater Weather.
Fang: Guess what, I've got movie tickets to see Duff. I know you wanted to watch it.
Me: What?Jeez! That would be awesome! Can't wait to see it with you.
Fang: That's my girl. So do you have a Duff?
Me: Lissa, I guess. Lol, I mean she's got the stuff, but still a duff.
Fang: lmfao. ok, dear.
Me: Super sleepy fedicheni.
Fang: Alright, see you tomorrow, baby girl.
Me: Bye, love you. Little boy.
Fang: Love you, little boy? Ok.
I used that phrase a lot. Super sleepy fedicheni. I don't even know.
I rolled over and closed my eyes. God, I was so tired. Today was long and stressful. Giving me heartburn. Ugh! Oh my God. My foot inches so bad. I leaned up and scratched it. My door opened. "Hey, Max." Ari came in and sat on my bed. "Hey." He laughed seeing me inching my foot. "Same old Max." He breathed. "Mmm. " He patted my head and left.
My phone buzzed. I flipped onto my side and clicked on my phone. Lissa was calling. I answered it.
Me: "Hello."
Lissa: "Max, Daisy had her baby's!"
Max: "What? Oh my God! Can I have one!"
Lissa: "Sure. You can have the black one. What do you want to name it?"
Me: "Boy or girl?"
Lissa: : "Uh, boy. He's a boy."
Me: "Buhemeon Rap Doggie."
Lissa: "What? He's a cat."
Me: "Says who? Nobody, that's who."
Lissa:"Oh, ok."
Me: "SUPER SLEEPY FEDICHENI."
Lissa: "Oh, ok. Bye. Thanks for coming."
Me: "Send a light greading and subscribe to my channel."
Lissa: "Botch."
Me: "Moist meat bag."
Lissa: "Ewwwww, Max! That's gross."
Me: "Your gross."
Lissa: "Am not!"
Me: "Ewww. Don't talk to me. Your all the eww."
Lissa: "Your all the ewww."
Me: "Oh sorry, let me just clean up all the ewww coming threw my phone when you talk."
Lissa: "Oh God! Something smells like shit. I hope it's not your upper lip."
Me: "Maybe it's your shitty attitude."
I sassed back and turned my phone off. So...sleepy.
~~~Next day~~~
"Good morning!" I rolled my heavy aching eyes. Nudge was even more loud today then normal. "Morning." I ground sitting at the yellow table outside of school. Lissa and Kate were gossiping about some girl in thred hour. Sam was practicing some new song and Nudge was buzzing in my ears. Thank God Ella was distracting her every now and then. Fang sat next to me rubbing my back. He leaned over seeing me rubbing my temples. "You in pain?" I let out a grunt.
"Mmm. It's not that bad. Just feeling a bit tired and headacey. It's tearing my skull apart." He kissed my wrist. "It's ok. If you need to go to the hospital, just tell me." I nodded and looked up. Kate was staring at me with a stern look. "What?" I snapped. Kate and I aren't close friends. She actually kind of pisses me off. The way she flirts with everyone. Mostly Fang. She moved her eyes to him. "Fang? Can you help me in biology?" She said sweetly, though I felt acid drip from her poisoned Apple lips.
"Not good at it. Sorry. Maybe Max can help you." I glared at him. "Apsultly not." He frowned. "Why not?" I looked away and buried my head. "Not up for a study session with anyone." Kate giggled. "Oh Max. Well, I was hoping you would teach me, Fang." He laughed. "Can't. Sorry, Kate. If I was smart enough, I could." I stood up and began walking to class early. "Max?"
Fang followed me. "Hey, what's wrong, babe?" I shook my head. "Nothing. I'm just tired." No. jealousy. Fang was my boyfriend. Not Kate's." Max, please tell me what's wrong. I know that's bullshit." I shook my head. "No. I have an idea, why don't you go teach Kate some basic easy biology, an I'll just go to art or something." Fang raised a brow then smiled. "Are you jealous?" "What? No! That's not it." He rolled his eyes. "Ok, I see. You obviously jealous. That's sweet." I nudged him.
"Uh, no! I'm not." He laughed. "It's ok, Max. You don't have to be jealous. I'm not leaving you for any girl." I frowned. "Then you'd leave me for a guy?" He calmly shook his head. "No. I wouldn't leave you for anyone." A smile tugged at my lips. "Well, at least you know your place." I kissed his cheek. He smiled sweetly. "Come here, babe girl." We stood lip locked for three minutes. Running out of breath.
"Well, this is a surprise." Kate interrupted. "I glared at her. "What is?" Fang asked. "Who knew you two were dating?" "Um, we did. And so did everyone else." I rolled my eyes. "I see. So what is it you have against me, Max?" I crossed my arms. "Just one little thing." "What? What is that one little thing?" She smiled brightly, obviously pissing me square off. "Boundaries." She rolled her eyes. "Oh, boundaries. You mean like territory? Well, news flash, Max. Guys are not territory. Right, Fang?" He raised a brow.
"I don't know, she's hard to argue with." He wrapped his arm around my waist. "I don't particularly mind being her territory." He kissed my cheek. "Down boy." I left his side and pulled Kate away. Fang was about to follow. "Girl talk." I raised a brow at him. He smirked. "Alright, I'll be at the table." I pulled Kate to the back of the school. We're nobody could see us.
"Listen, I frankly don't care who you flirt with, but leave Fang alone. It's kind of pissing me off." She glared at me. "I don't care what it does to you. I see my target, so I'm going to aim right for its heart." I shoved her. "Back off!" She pushed back. "No, you back off!" I took the first swing and punched her pretty good in the nose. I heard a crack, but Kate was strong too. She grabbed a fistful of hair and pulled my to the ground.
I she sat on top of me, cutting off air. I let out a rushed breath. Then she began punching me in my abdomen. I couched a lot and held my hand over my mouth to keep from spitting blood up on both of us. She didn't seem to notice and continued to hit me. I flipped us, but my head went blank. My body went limp and I toppled over onto my side. Kate got up to attack, but saw that something was wrong. I wasn't fighting back anymore.
"Uh, Max?" She asked. I didn't move. "Go get Fang! Lissa! Anyone! Please!" She backed away and took off. Moments later, Fang, Lissa, Sam, and Kate came to me. "Max! What the hell happened!?" I decided not to tell him about the fight. "Random attack." I muttered. "Lissa, call an ambulance." He said quietly. "No, people at school will find out." I tugged on his jacket sleeve. He shook his head. "Max, right now...this is more important. Fact is, your sick. You don't have a choice. I'm not taking you to school like this." He told me.
Then...for some reason, I wanted to talk to Iggy. But...He won't talk to me.
