Epilogue

Mai's operation on her legs had been successful, now three years later Monk was leading Mai down the aisle towards Naru. Ayako was acting as the maid of honour and Masako was the head bridesmaid. Walking slightly infront of Mai was her and Naru's three year old daughter Kimiko was the cute little flower girl.

Mai had told everyone that Kimiko dies shortly after leaving the teacher however the Taniyamas had a special gift, they haunt the hunters. When Kimiko died, she changed into the Demon Exorcist: a supernatural demon angel who hunts and destroys evil spirits and demons that damage the fragile peace between the living and the dead. Her grandmother's spirit had found out and split the two up, Kimiko her hosts bodyguard and The Demon Exorcist/ Fukano who operated under her control that is what the curse did however part of it backfired onto the grandmother causing the explosion, leaving Fukano/Kimiko with some free will but not much.

Shotly after the hospital visit Kimiko gave Mai a charm claiming "when Mr Perfect can't get rid of a mean little spirit summon me ok?" Naru had glared hard at that remark. Now four years on Mai was to marry her long time crush and boyfriend.

Naru watched as Mai walked towards him. She looked beautiful in her sleek pearl white dress with a line of cream white beads across the top of her bust. Her veil covering her face and the train that followed behind her. Lin was his best man and his son (little Kimiko's older twin brother) Gene was the ring bearer.

Since the Gumo case Naru had taken on more high profile and dangerous cases as they had support from Mai's dead older sister.

The wedding was beautiful John had been given permission to perform the wedding for them. The sun was out and everyone agreed that the bride and groom were made for each other.

The day flashed by and in no time at all they were having the wedding reception, Martin made and embarrassing speech about Naru, Monk told a few about Mai and Lin made a quick toast to the bride and groom. Soon Naru and Mai were called to their first dance as a married couple, however Naru broke tradition a bit and asked to wait until night time when the moon was out so the two could dance there first dance as a married couple in the moonlight. Martin had said Naru didn't like club or disco music and would only dance once that evening.

Soon the moon was out and Naru lead Mai out to a bandstand close to where the wedding reception was and Monk played a slow waltz, and in the moonlight Naru danced his first dance with his beautiful wife in full view of all their guests who joined in outside the bandstand and the wedding photographer running around getting pictures to capture this beautiful moment.

No-one noticed a figure dressed in a blood red and black catsuit leaning on the building close watching the happy couple. Smirking the figure tuned and began to walk away, she stopped and looked back once before walking away.

"Be happy little sister, be happy"
