Hiya!

I want to thank Its Shamangirl1 for reviewing! I love the name btw.

To Shamangirl1: The chapter before this takes place whenever you want it to take place. :)

I had this idea stuck in my head and I just couldn't resist this: elves on strike!

...

North cried out in horror, "Vat? You can't be serious!" He dropped his blocks of ice on the wooden floor.

The little elf stamped his foot on the ground and spoke in a language only North, the yetis, and the other elves could understand. "Gueusw guetiti."

"But Christmas is only months away! We've got to work!"

"Gueyttuiiri reieiruro."

"Vat? But- but I survive on cookies! I can't live without them!" The gift giver felt like pulling all of his white hair out. "How will I be able to work?"

"Gueyitoeoirt euowerouo."

North facepalmed. "That's a stupid reason. Come on, cut this nonsense out. Iz ridiculous!"

The little elf shook his little head and stamped his foot on the ground again, causing the army of elves behind him to jingle in agreement.

"How about we compromise?"

The elf shook his again. The little man wasn't willing to compromise. Compromising meant that either they both had to lose something or they both had to win something, which took time. Whatever the elves wanted, they wanted it now.

"Aww, please?"

The little elf shook his head once again. Then he turned his back on his boss; apparently, he didn't want to listen to North anymore. Who could blame him though...

Santa clawed at his face as he watched the figure move away. "I need help." He turned to Phil the yeti. "Call zeh Guardians!"

Phil gave him a look Are you serious? The Guardians don't need to know about something so stupid.

North pleaded, "Oh, please. Unless you would like to sort this mess out for me." He had a hopeful gleam in his eyes.

Phil ran to the globe room.

Jack flew to the North pole as soon as he saw the Auroras. In his hand was a banana that Jamie had so kindly lent to him. "Hey, North. Whoah, what's up?" He watched as an elf walked passed with a sign with illegible writing and a child-like picture of an elf on it.

The guardians had scattered throughout the room while North had his head planted in his hands. "This terrible."

"What's terrible?" Jack questioned, peeling his banana casually.

Bunny answered for North, "The elves have gone on strike."

Jack snorted, "Elves? On strike? Why?"

"Apparently, they want to do more work. I honestly think it's stupid-"

"Wait, repeat that again," Jack said skeptically.

"That they're all stupid?"

"No, before that."

"They want to do more work"

"Wait, they're on strike because they want to do work?" The winter spirit's head shot up in bewilderment.

"Are ya deaf or what?."

The winter spirit burst into fits of laughter, waking up the Sandman.

Tooth scolded him even though she was trying not to laugh also, "Jack, this is not a laughing matter."

"But the solution is so easy. Even I can see it and I'm the opposite of work. Just give them what they want."

"They want to help make the presents. Somehow, they found out that all the present they had been making weren't being put in the sleigh."

Jack stopped laughing, trying to hide a blush. "Well, err, that's, err, bad." Jack's mind had flashed back to before he had taken the Guardian oath. He remembered that before North had given the lecture on "what's your center," North had told Jack that he had only let the elves think that they were helping make the toys when, in reality, they weren't. Jack scratched his head, whistling

North wailed, "They won't even bake me cookies anymore!"

Bunny patted the man's back. "That's okay, mate. You can always come to my warren and eat all the carrots you want."

"You're not helping Bunny!"

Sandy made some symbols above his head. This time he was noticed by the other Guardians. :) (Good for you, Sandy)

Tooth nodded with Sandy. "Yeah, if this is the only thing wrong, I'm going to go now. Sandy and I have to go back to work." She and the little man flew out of the room without looking back.

Jack sighed. "Yeah, I'm gonna leave, too. It's the beginning of Fall and I have some work to do in Canada. See ya, Kangaroo." He threw a snowball at Bunny.

"What? Y'all gonna leave me just like that?" The rabbit growled. "Come back 'ere, ya esky."

Jack flew out the window, leaving Bunny alone to take care of the wailing North. He shouted out just before he was out of their hearing ranges. "Just give them what they want, North!" His laugh echoed throughout the night.

Bunny tried to run at him. "Come back here, ya gumby!" He almost reached the window before slipping on a banana peel and crashing into some elf protesters.
