Hi everyone, yes this story is still alive! I'm going to blame this update for not coming sooner on my writer's block and busy schedule.

Disclaimer: Do not own any of the characters from Glee, this is simply for fun!

"Hola mama, room service!" A voice called out one morning followed by insistent banging on her bedroom door. Rachel awoke with a start utterly confused as to where she was and disgruntled when she realized someone had so rudely waken her up out of a really good night sleep. Something she'd been having trouble with more and more often, seeing as her mind was always on a certain someone and what the impending weeks would bring.

The loud knocking outside her room continued once more, followed by the voice of the same woman, "SeƱorita, vamos! Usted se despierta y se prepara para el dia!"

"I'm sorry!" Rachel responded hurriedly trying to make herself decent before the woman, who she assumed worked here, came in. Pulling on a t-shirt she again yelled, "just one minute!"

She was just pulling on a pair of yoga pants when the door suddenly was yanked open without warning. Rachel shrieked in shock and jumped as she turned to see the woman who had just completely disregarded her privacy.

Just as a complaint was about to slip from her mouth it died on the tip of her tongue as she saw her best friend stroll into the room and fall back casually on the bed.

"Hola Berry," Santana said easily a smile on her face. "Miss me much?"

"Santana?" Rachel asked incredulously laughing slightly. "What the-? How did you-? When did-?"

"What? How? When?" Santana rolled her eyes. "Geez Rachel I was expecting a little more of a welcome and a lot less questions. Get your butt over here."

Rachel smiled and walked over to Santana with outstretched arms, hugging her friend tightly. "I can't believe you're here!" She said aloud, pulling back to look at the taller girl once more. "How are you? What are you doing here?"

"Well let's just say life's a little boring without your constant squawking" she replied teasingly before making a disgusted face. "Plus I can only take so much of Quinn and Puck sucking face and going at it like wild animals everywhere and anywhere they like. Britt's gone to visit her parents for the week and it was either hang out with them or listen to Sir Hair Gel himself talk about the necessity of bow ties and how they are completely underrated."

"I see," Rachel giggled feeling sympathetic for her friend. "Although you had no problem leaving Blaine with them?"

"Oh no. I just decided that instead of wasting time away doing absolutely nothing this week I would come out and see how my favorite shrimp is doing," she smiled. "And the hobbit himself is just downstairs chatting up some of the camera crew and staff."

"Well I'm so excited you guys are here!" Rachel exclaimed again wrapping her friend in another quick hug. "You don't know how much I've missed you guys and I think you guys will really like it here."

"I'm more interested in hearing the latest drama with you," Santana said lying on her stomach to look at Rachel. Feeling the soft comforter of the bed she asked, "Have you broken in this bed properly?"

"Santana!" Rachel gasped blushing furiously at her friend's scandalous words. "Why would you even say that? Or even think I would do something like that?"

Raising her hands up and shrugging she simply replies, "who knows the LA lifestyle might have rubbed off on you eventually. Maybe you finally found some decent man to be able to bump and grind on."

Still blushing furiously Rachel threw her best friend a look. "Well, you're going to be disappointed then because it hasn't."

Walking into the connected bathroom Rachel grabbed a comb and brushed out her long hair from the knots it was in. Judging her appearance once in the mirror and deciding she'd stay natural with her hair today. "Besides I like to believe that it's better to stay classy rather than, as you so put it, 'bump and grind' on anyone."

"Yeah, yeah," Santana waved her off. "Save the lecture. I get it."

Rachel was about to comment further when another voice filled the room. "Well if it isn't the one and only Miss Rachel Berry in person."

A beaming smile broke out on her face as Blaine entered the room dressed to the nine in a white shirt, yellow skinny jeans, and matching sun glasses. Not to mention a bow tie perfectly in place. "Blaine!" Rachel squealed throwing her arms around her friend's neck and hugging him tightly. "I've missed you so much!"

"Same to you Rach," he replied back hugging her just as tightly. Whispering into her ear he said, "you don't know even want to know about the kind of chaos that goes on when you aren't around."

Pulling her head back she looked at him questionably. "Trust me, you don't want to know."

"I'll take your word on it," she agreed quickly. Turning back to look at Santana lying on her bed she asked the both of them if they'd want to join her for some breakfast before she began her day. They nodded their consent and soon followed her into the exquisite dining area and kitchen that was hers as long as she was staying at the mansion.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me," Santana breathed out as she looked all around the room at the various decorations.

"I know right?" Rachel said knowing exactly what the Latina had been thinking. "This room usually isn't used too often. It's apparently because the owner of the place doesn't want the decor to get ruined, but I figure my reunion with two of my very best friends is reason enough to go against that rule."

"Wow, such a rebel," Blaine teased with a smile. "You've really gotten crazy on us Rach."

"Evidently not crazy enough," Santana chimed in as she sat down in one of the expensive dining chairs. "Did she tell you that she hasn't jumped anyone's bones yet Blaine?"

"Would you keep your voice down," Rachel whispered in a harsh tone, looking to see if any one was around. She figures she'd just about die if that was caught on camera.

"I'm just saying Rachel, how can you not have found anyone you are attracted to in that way yet?" She asked stubbornly.

"I never said I hadn't," Rachel responded annoyed. "I just said that I-."

"Wait. Rewind for me," Blaine interrupted. "Apparently I missed something seeing as I was so politely apologizing to the housekeeper when we first got here since someone just had to break the door in."

"You what?" Rachel exclaimed with wide eyes.

"She was taking too long," Santana explained. "We would have been wearing granny panties and old clunky shoes, walking with rockers by the time she answered the door."

"Doesn't mean you break in and give the poor woman a heart attack," Blaine countered. Santana just brushed it off though not really bothering to care.

"Anyway," he said focusing back on Rachel after a moment, "what's the deal with you? You found someone you want to..?" He raised his eyebrows suggestively.

"No!" The petite brunette exclaimed putting her hands over her face mortified that her friends were even discussing this with her. "Would you guys please get your minds off of that for two minutes? That is not what I'm here for and you know that."

"Yeah we know. Boring old you wants the whole fairy tale-ride off into the sunset type thing." Santana complained. "You would think you'd want to spice it up just a little more Rach."

"We all aren't like you Santana," Rachel replied rolling her eyes. "And it's not boring it's romantic."

"And it's all I've ever wanted," she admitted quietly after a moment. "I want that kind of romance that seems almost impossible to find you know?"

"Do you really think you can find that though if its 'almost impossible'?" Blaine asked her doubtfully. "Can you find that here at all?"

Yes, her subconscious noted immediately.

"I don't know," she answered worriedly instead. "I mean there are some great guys here, but I just- I'm not sure yet."

"Well how are you so sure they're so great if your best friends haven't even checked them out yet?" Santana quipped. "They gots to get past my psychic Mexican third eye before anything else shrimp, don't forget that."

She laughed at Santana because knowing her well enough to recognize that while she was trying to lighten the mood she was also very serious. Her friend was convinced she had a third sense and could easily detect when someone was lying. In most cases, she was never wrong.

"We'll just have to put that third eye of yours to work then," Rachel said happily, eyes lighting up in enthusiasm. "Starting tomorrow. Today I just want to relax with my friends."

"And that's why the best movie of all time definitely has to be Avatar, without question," Sam said smiling triumphantly having just spent the last half hour explaining to Finn the greatness of the blue alien movie.

Laughing at Sam and shaking his head Finn rolled his eyes. "Ok dude, I'm still saying that Braveheart is a pretty epic movie. Followed closely by Star Wars."

"Ooh," Sam responded intrigued turning his head away from the game on T.V. they were watching. "Which episode?"

"Does it matter?" Finn answered back.

"Well the originals made in like the eighties are the best. The more recent ones are kinda lame," the blonde shrugged.

Finn nodded in agreement turning his attention back to the football game. "That's true."

The two fell into silence as they focused once again on the television, though their peace was somewhat disrupted as Brody walked past the open door followed closely by a camera crew. Finn rolled his eyes as he heard the crew laugh at whatever the douche was saying. Why was everyone so charmed by him?

Noticing the other man's annoyance Sam called him out on it. "Still not a fan I see."

"Is it that obvious?" Finn huffed angrily glaring in the direction the group had went.

"Yeah pretty much," he replied cheekily, his expression quickly sobering up when the other man fixed him with a glare.

"I just don't see what the big deal about him is I guess," Finn explained, remembering with a frown how just the other day he had seen Rachel completely enamored with the asshole. "It seems like even the crew loves him."

"Jealous are we?" Sam questioned with a raise of his eyebrow. "You think Rachel might love him or something?"

"Of course not!" Finn said angrily shooting his friend an incredulous look. "He is definitely not right for her, trust me."

"And you would know this because...?" Sam challenged folding his arms over his chest.

"Because he just isn't," Finn replied defiantly. If anyone was perfect for her it would be me, he thought offhandedly.

"Yeah okay. I get it," Sam said. "You think you're going to end up with her huh?"

Surprised by the irritation in Sam's tone Finn shook his head quickly. "I didn't say that."

"You didn't have to," Sam responded. "I think the rest of us have been subjected to enough of the two of you to know what you think."

"Huh?" He had a feeling this was about the other day when Finn deliberately kissed Rachel in front of them but he didn't expect Sam of all people to be annoyed. "Look man..."

"Forget it," Sam interrupted with a shrug of his shoulders. "What's done is done. She obviously likes you a lot."

"Sam," Finn sighed, "you know that I have so much respect for you right? I didn't mean to do anything."

"But you did," the other man retorted stubbornly.

"And I'm sorry dude," Finn told him honestly. "I was out of line and you know what? Rachel even called me out on it. It wasn't cool of me to do."

"You think?" Sam quipped with a roll of his eyes. "Look man I'm happy that you like her a lot but just remember that the rest of us like her too. It's not fun watching her suck face with another guy."

"I'm sorry," Finn responded earnestly knowing all too well how much it really did hurt. Holding his fist out toward the other man he looked at him square in the eye. "You have my word it won't happen again. We're okay right?"

Sam contemplated his words giving him a small smile before bumping his fist against his. "Yeah we're good."

"Good," Finn said glad that he resolved that issue.

"Well isn't that nice," a voice came from the doorway. The two men turned to find a Latina woman leaning on a doorframe looking at them critically. "You ladies making up after a fight?"

"Um," Finn cleared his voice, looking at Sam to see him looking at the woman with the same confused look he probably had on his face at the moment. "I'm sorry but who are you?"

"Not important," the woman said simply with a wave of her hand and a tone that left little room for argument. "What's important is who you two are?" She looked at them expectantly for a moment rolling her eyes before she crossed the room to plop down on the couch in between them.

"Names?" She asked stubbornly.

"Finn," he blurted out holding his hand out for her to shake, never one to be rude. "My name's Finn Hudson and that's Sam Evan," he said pointing at the shaggy blonde.

"Pleasure to meet you," she replied looking at them both quizzically before a glint sparked in her eye. She got up suddenly and as quickly as she came she was already heading out the door without a glance back. "You two are boring me now. See ya later Gigantor, Trouty Mouth."

The two sat dumbfounded and confused for a second before they could speak. "Who was that?" Sam asked.

"Hell if I know," Finn replied giving one last glance at the door before looking at his friend. "She kinda just came waltzing in here."

" Yeah I saw that," Sam said with a shake of his head. A thoughtful look crossed his face as he said, "you think she was here as like a tease?"

"A tease?" Finn asked doubtfully. The woman hadn't seemed like she was trying to seduce them or anything and she was gone as quickly as she came. "I don't think so man."

"I'm just saying it could be like a trick you know," Sam said. "They might be trying to see who would..."

The sound of footsteps coming down the hall cut his explanation off as they both looked to see who was practically sprinting through the house. They were pretty surprised when they saw that it was in fact Rachel, hair thrown up messily in a bun and in a simple t-shirt and athletic shorts, breathing somewhat heavily as she stopped by their doorway. She obviously didn't realize they were there.

"Hey Rach," Finn called out to her brightly, his smile increasing tenfold when she looked in the room and a huge beam broke out on her face as soon as she saw him. "What are you doing here?"

The guys hadn't seen her in a couple days; the producers had simply said that Rachel wanted a few days to herself just to relax which Finn totally understood. It was good to get away from the scrutiny of the cameras for a while and not be as worried about what you were doing. How reality tv stars did it on a regular basis he would never understand. He was pretty sure they were still being filmed though even if no camera crew was around. Either way cameras or no cameras the guys and Rachel were able to chill out by themselves.

"Hi Finn," she greeted brightly with a small wave. "Hey Sam." She leaned against the door breathing deeply still a little breathless.

"Are you okay Rachel?" Sam asked with a laugh standing up to walk over to her, his arms open to give her a hug. "You look like you just ran a marathon or something."

Rachel laughed as she wrapped her arms around his torso reciprocating the hug easily. "It feels like it too," she breathed out. Taking one last deep breath she moved out of Sam's arms noticing the look of jealousy quickly fade from Finn's face as he caught her eye.

Giving him an apologetic look she came back to the matter at hand. "Actually I'm looking for my friend. Tall, skinny, Latina girl?" She described.

"She was just here," Finn answered quickly, standing up himself to go over to her. "She went down that way actually."

"Oh gosh," she sighed. A hand on her hip she looked at the two apologetically with wide nervous eyes. "Did she say anything to you? She can be a little... abrasive at times."

"Not really," he said honestly looking at Sam who nodded in agreement. "She basically came in and asked who we were. We introduced ourselves, she wouldn't tell us her name, and then she left."

The relief that was evident on Rachel's face at his words was almost comical. "Oh thank goodness," she said with a smile. "Maybe she's okay then."

"Rachel!" A panicked voice called as they heard footsteps coming down the hallway once more. "I can't find her anywhere at the house she's gotta be around here somewhere!"

A short, dark-haired man was running down the hall looking in various rooms furiously as he came toward the group. Finally reaching them he looked at the two taller men a little surprised not having noticed them with Rachel before. He gave them a bright smile though as he quickly recovered.

"Blaine, this is Finn Hudson and Sam Evans," Rachel introduced gesturing between the men as they shook hands. "Finn and Sam this is Blaine Anderson, a really great friend of mine from back home in New York."

"Nice to meet you guys," Blaine said enthusiastically while giving both of them a once over. "They haven't ran off yet," he commented cheekily to Rachel, "they obviously must not have met Santana yet."

Assuming he meant the girl that had been in the room before Finn shook his head. "Actually I think that it was her that came and talked to us like five minutes ago."

"I sincerely apologize for anything she said to you," Blaine said immediately his hand running cautiously over his perfectly gelled hair. "She wasn't supposed to even come over here today but when we looked away for a minute she was gone!"

"She seemed okay," Sam commented laughing with Finn at the pair in front of them. Whoever Santana was she obviously caused problems.

Rachel and Blaine looked at each other before they burst out laughing and Finn couldn't help the smile that grew on his face at Rachel's infectious laughter. "That has to be the best joke of all time," Blaine commented to Rachel before turning to the other two explaining. "Santana is anything but okay. She's a great friend, don't get me wrong, but she's kind of insane."

"It's part of her charm," Rachel said fondly. Her smiling expression dropped though as she looked down the hall again hearing some sort of crashing noise. "Although I'm going to have to kill her once I find her."

"She wasn't supposed to be here?" Sam asked curiously.

"Not exactly," she explained. "I was going to bring her and Blaine over tomorrow to meet you guys and today we were supposed to be hanging out together. Blaine and I fell asleep though while we were watching some movie on T.V. and the next thing I know Santana is gone."

She lets out a dramatic sigh when there's more noise coming from down the hall, some sort of commotion going on and a voice yelling in Spanish. "If she was in the least bit normal I would trust her here by herself. But obviously she cannot be trusted."

Rachel started moving down the hallway following the noise and the boys followed after her curious themselves to see what was going on. When they finally reached the room and looked in Rachel gasped loudly and Finn tried to hide his amusement at the sight in front of him.

Santana had Brody handcuffed to a chair in the corner of the room, looking quite intimidated and confused as she verbally chewed him out. His suitcase was in front of her and she was rummaging through it, throwing out several items in her quest to search through his entire bag. There was a small sofa that was knocked over onto its side, and Rachel really didn't even want to know how that had happened.

"What are you doing Santana!" Rachel yelled from her frozen position in the doorway. Her friend cut off her search and string of Spanish words immediately giving the brunette an innocent smile. Brody looked over helplessly from where he was at.

"Rachel, thank god you're here, who is this?" Brody asked looking at Santana like she was from some other universe.

"She's my friend," she said simply although she then turned a glare toward the other girl. "Although I have no idea what the hell she is thinking? What are you doing Santana?" She asked again incredulously.

"I was bored," Santana shrugged easily. "I decided to do a little exploring while you and Sir Snores-a-lot over there were knocked out on the couch. No big deal."

"And what do you think you're doing with Brody and his things?" Rachel asked angrily. She went over to where Santana was and immediately started pushing her out of reach of his suitcase. "That is invasion of privacy and you cannot do that to him!"

Santana tried to protest but Rachel was surprisingly strong for her size, especially when she was mad. "Look Hun, as your best friend I have certain responsibilities. One of those being background checks on all your boyfriends."

"That doesn't mean you handcuff them and search through their things!" Rachel exclaimed. Once Santana was close enough to the door and far away from the suitcase Rachel gave her a stern look and crossed back over to Brody, immediately getting him out of the chains. "I am so, so sorry about this. I had no idea she would do something like this."

"It's okay Rachel," Brody smiled with a shrug, rubbing his sore wrist. "She just shocked me and caught me off guard. And you know I didn't want to hurt her."

"Oh please you didn't put up much of a fight," Santana grumbled from her spot by the exit. "I took you down so easily."

Finn and Sam laughed in amusement at Santana's words, which earned them a glare from the tiny brunette. "This isn't funny you two." She said looking away from them to tend to Brody. Rachel missed the way that Santana threw Sam and Finn a wicked smile before fist bumping them.

"I'm serious Santana. Why were you going through his stuff?" Rachel demanded of her friend.

"He wouldn't tell me who he was or anything about himself," Santana replied. "I had to investigate myself."

"I don't even know who you are," Brody countered. "You didn't tell me your name so why should I tell you who I am."

"That didn't bother these boys," Santana retorted pointing to Finn and Sam. "They trusted me. Obviously you don't. Why is that?"

The argument was getting heated that much Finn could tell. He wanted to say something, anything, to put a stop to it before it escalated because he could tell Rachel was getting upset. As much as he liked seeing her friend go up against Brody he didn't want it to ruin Rachel's day. Before he could say anything though Blaine cut in.

"I think that's enough," he said firmly, looking at all of them. "Why don't we calm down for a while and then we can do this again later, okay? Santana come on. We're going back to the house. Finn, Sam it was good meeting you."

"Yeah you too man," Finn smiled giving him a handshake as Blaine left with Santana in tow. An annoyed look was etched onto her face as she walked out with Blaine, still grumbling over the incident.

When they were out of the room Finn looked back at Rachel to see that she was talking quietly with Brody, checking his wrists and arms for damage. "I really am incredibly sorry," she apologized out loud again. "I hope she didn't hurt you."

"I think I'm okay Rachel," Brody smirked amused at her concern. "Not too much damage was done."

He gave her arm a squeeze before he pulled her in for a hug, tucking her into his side and giving her a soft smile. Rachel returned it and all Finn wanted to do was punch the guy himself. He could do some damage to him if he liked.

Clearing his throat next to him Sam spoke up interrupting the exchange. "Well, it was good seeing you Rachel." He looked over at Finn and nudged his arm. "Finn and I are just gonna go..."

Her head snapped to them with wide eyes as she detached herself from Brody. "What? Oh, no, guys you can stay can't you? We could all hang out or something right?"

"You didn't want to get back to your friends Rach?" Finn asked looking in the direction Santana and Blaine had gone.

She waved her hand in their direction as she shook her head. "They can go a few hours without me. Besides they'll be back here tomorrow for a formal meeting with you all."

She gave a smile to the three of them before she added, "for right now I can hang out with you guys. I've actually missed you."

She turned and looked at Finn at that moment giving a shy smile. "We've missed you too Rach," he replied warmly.

"I don't trust him Blaine," Santana griped as they got in the car and drove the short distance back to Rachel's place. "Plastic man has got to go."

"Plastic man?" Blaine asked with a raised eyebrow. "Oh please, Santana you cannot meddle with this. Rachel will kill you if you mess this up for her on national television. You know it took a lot just to get her to do it."

"Which is exactly why I need to protect her," she retorted back. "I don't want her to come out of this worse than before."

"Worse in terms of what?" Blaine asked.

"Haven't you seen the slightest difference in that munchkin at all?" Santana said. "She's put herself out there with these guys and has started to really like them. As her best friend for years now I can tell Miss Diva is finally growing up out of that depressing mid-life crisis, 'will never find her true love' type phase."

"She's only in her twenties though," he pointed out.

"Exactly! But that girl was acting like she was like fifty-five or something and would never be married!" Santana exclaimed. She takes a deep breath as she collects herself, caught up in her thoughts.

"I just want to make sure that Rachel doesn't get hurt," she said softly after a moment. Turning to look at Blaine she sees him nod his head in agreement. "It's our job to make sure it doesn't happen."

Blaine reached for her hand and squeezed, a smile tugging at his lips. It wasn't often Santana let her guard down like this but when she did he learned to appreciate the nice moment. "You're a good friend Santana," he told her. "And I am behind you one hundred percent."

"Thank you," she sighed. She snatched her hand away after, clearly done for the moment. "Now that we got all the emotional reasons and shit out of the way and settled, it's back to business."

"I don't even have a choice to join you or not do I?" Blaine asked amused.

"Course not," she responded easily getting out of the car once she saw that they were back at the house. "But don't worry, Auntie Tana will handle all the investigation work, you just need to be there for Rach. I got this covered."
