Hello, guys! This is the penultimate chapter of Awkward, it's so sad to see it go… I hope that you guys have liked it so far! Oh, and I'm in the middle of editing my stories, so if you look back, maybe in a month or so, it'll be all cool and that chiz. XD
I'm lazy, so I'll answer reviews here, because I keep forgetting to, otherwise. DX
Thisperson: Yeah, Karen certainly crosses a lot of people's minds. For the wrong reasons, too.
MelodyOfSecrets: Yeah, he's a real cheese ball. He's like that, when he was a girlfriend like Misty, or Leaf. Oh, I like Pokeshipping a tad better than Egoshipping, but Egoshipping is still a brilliant one. Well, you'll find out in this chapter!
Jasmine-.-Momo-chan: OMG, thanks for reviewing so much! Yeah, I'd of kicked him in the ooglies, too. ;) Gary sucks with names. :D Zoey's the voice of reason. Yeah, that's a good idea. I bet Misty wants to.
Poke-lover88: Yeah, he totally surprises you sometimes. Leaf finds him annoying, but he's a real sweetie. I don't mind, you cursing in a review! As long as it isn't aimed at me! XD Well, you'll have to find out… :D
improvise me: Thanks. ^^
emma5678: It is? Thankies! =D
Disclaimer: We both don't own Pokemon.
Chapter 11: Kidnapped!
Misty's POV
I groaned, just as my alarm clock blared in my ear. I found my hand under my body, so I wriggled it out, and slapped it angrily. Why did my sisters choose a stupid Smoochum one?
I shrugged my shoulders sleepily, and snuggled back into my pillow happily…
"Like, Misty? Get down here!" I heard one of my sister call. I grumbled, ripping off my covers, and fumbling for my Marill slippers. I shivered slightly in my yellow vest top, and my orange flannel shorts. I slung my cerulean blue nightgown to warm me up.
I plodded down the stairs, muttering insults at my sisters, and wondering why I still lived here. When I got down to the kitchen, I saw my sister Lily. She wore the shortest orange mini dress, I had ever seen, showing off a lot of cleavage. I rolled my eyes, as she brushed her pink hair. Why did she have to dress like such a slut? It ruins my reputation!
"What, Lily?" I snapped rudely, snatching some cereal from one of the cream cupboards.
"My friend Chloe is coming back to Kanto today. I haven't seen her since college, and she moved to the Johto region a little while ago. She just bought a new house here, and she invited us to come over for a dinner party. She even said that she'll pick you up from school," Lily informed me with her 'dazzling' smile.
"I was going to walk with Gary," I pointed out to her, remembering that Gary wouldn't let me go anywhere without him. That was all because of the run in I had with Karen. He's really quite overprotective.
"Nuh-uh! You're going to get picked up by Chloe. She offered, and you're going to be nice to her by accepting!" I sighed. My sisters aren't the best siblings in the world, but they sure do have their 'responsible' moments. "Well, I already accepted for you, I was going to force you one way or the other." I frowned at her, as I poured some cereal into my bowl.
I then sat on the island in the middle of the kitchen, wiping off crumbs from Lily's toast.
"Fine." I poured some milk into my bowl, and started eating rapidly with my spoon.
After I finished, I put my bowl and spoon into the sink.
"What does she look like?" I asked Lily, who was reading a magazine, while drying her nails.
"Blonde hair. Now, I gotta go!" She blew on her pink nails, and ran up the stairs in a hurry. I just shrugged my shoulders, and got ready for school.
I put on some denim shorts, a white tank top, and a red and yellow checkered shirt over it. I pulled on my purple converses, and slung my bag over my shoulder, checking my cell phone for texts.
As usual, I walked to school with Zoey and Gary. They bickered a lot, but only playfully. I only got involved when Gary needed a good slap on the head, or when Zoey needed a nudge in her stomach.
"So, Misty," Zoey said, taking me from my daydream, "has Karen done anything else to you recently?"
"No," I replied, slightly relieved. But I was also on edge. She hasn't tried anything, but she could jump out at me anytime she wanted to. I had to stay alert, awake and focused.
"Good. Don't worry, Mist, I'll stick with you," Gary promised me, kissing me on the cheek. I smiled gratefully at him, but gasped in realisation.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot! My sister's friend from college is taking me to her house, so don't walk me home, okay?"
"What's her name?" Zoey asked me.
"Chloe. If she's like my sisters, she'll know that I won't like her." I scratched the back of my head, wondering what she's like.
"Hmm. Well, call me if she's not there in five minutes," Gary said to me.
"Ten minutes, tops," I told him with a laugh. He didn't need to worry so much!
"If you want, I could wait with her," Zoey offered, knowing that Gary had basketball practice to go to.
"Thanks, Zo," he thanked, ruffling her hair. She glared at him, punching him on the shoulder playfully. I laughed as they started to squabble.
School finished very fast for me. Math was extremely boring, but I found out that I had moved up to a B+ average, which is a personal best for me. I'm hopeless at Math, and I hate it. Social Studies were boring, and the clock always seemed to taunt me with how it had the ability to move so slowly. Gym was a blast, we had played dodge ball. We had mixed Gym classes, so Gary and I was on the same team. We pulverized the other team, and left them grumbling and muttering rude things at us. English was okay, I just hated that I didn't keep a good grade with English. I had moved from a B-, to a C+.
"Hey, Zoey," I greeted when Zoey showed up outside the school so we could wait for Chloe.
"Yo, Mist! Sorry I'm a tad late; Mr Wintro called me back, because I had lost an earring." She exhaled loudly, and puffed as she stood up straight.
"He's a sweetie, isn't he?"
"Yeah…" She whipped her hair from her face with a 'flick', but then she started to grumble.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Look." She pointed to the grey clouds, slowly coming together to form a storm.
"Thunder," I muttered, frowning.
"And rain," Zoey added as the first few droplets. She dug around in her bag, until she found her purple umbrella. Unfortunately, it was really small, so we couldn't fit the both of us underneath it.
"It's okay," I said to her, pushing the umbrella away from me, "Chloe's going to take me in a car, remember? I'll be out of the rain, then."
Zoey nodded, as a shiny red car pulled up a few feet away from the street. It looked smart and expensive. I peeked over until I could see the person driving. It was a very pretty blonde woman, which expensive looking dark brown highlights in her hair.
Guessing that most of my sister's friends were models, I nodded to Zoey.
"That's Chloe," I told her. Zoey smiled, as she started to walk away, after saying 'goodbye' to me. To make sure I wasn't going to get completely soaked, I ran to the sidewalk, and opened the passenger seat in the car.
The young woman stared at me, shocked. I grinned at her, squeezing the water from my hair.
"Uh-"
"Hi," I greeted, shaking her hand, "my name is Misty. I'm guessing you're Chloe, right?"
"C-chloe?" she repeated, cocking her head to one side.
"Yeah. Remember? You're…Lily's friend from college, right?" When she didn't answer, I started to babble. "Thanks for taking me to your house, and thanks for inviting us to your dinner party! I'm soaked… Do you have some spare clothes I could borrow…? Uh, Chloe?"
"Yes?" she answered.
"Why did you seem so un familiar with your own name?"
"Uh… That's because… I'm usually called by my middle name! My middle name is Celeste, and I use that as a modelling name."
"Oh, so you are a model!" I acknowledged, nodding my head thoughtfully. "I knew that most of Lily's friends had some glamorous job… Uhh… What's up with the get up?"
Chloe was wearing a tan coloured trench coat, with dark shades, and a matching hat. She looked like she was wearing black leather pants, and her leather heeled black boots finished off the look.
"Oh, since I'm a model, I need to keep a low cover. Too many times before, someone has recognised me, and that was always a problem. I may be a model, but I like my privacy," she explained to me, smiling. She then twisted her key into ignition, and started the car. Her foot pushed on the brakes, and I watched the scenery and it sped past.
After about fifteen minutes of texting Gary and Zoey, saying I'm in Chloe's car (so they won't worry), we arrived at a shady street. I suddenly felt a chill, and we stopped outside an old abandoned warehouse.
"Why are we here?" I asked her, eyeing the exterior of the building.
"Oh, about that… I saved enough money to buy a warehouse! I'm in the middle of converting it to my liking! Since I only moved in a little while ago, I haven't had a chance to tell the builders what to do, but I assure you, that my cooking is really nice! It may seem shabby inside, but your sister and you will love it!" she said to me, grinning.
"'Sister'? I have three sisters." I was starting to get suspicious.
"Oh, really? Your other sisters are coming? I thought it was just you and Lily." She unbuckled her seatbelt, and opened the side of her car. I followed, my heart hammering weirdly.
She then reached into her pocket and pulled out some shiny door keys. She turned the key; unlocking her 'home' and I followed her in. All I saw was pitch black, and darkness.
"Wait, lemme find the switch," Chloe told me.
All of a sudden, I felt a horrible 'thud' on my head, and I fell to the floor, feeling dizzy, nauseous, and very scared. My head was going through excruciating pain.
The last thing I saw when the lights turned on was Chloe, in a black leather cat suit underneath her coat. I saw her evil grin, before I blacked out.
I woke up on a chair, with my wrists tied roughly with some rope. I felt very sick, and had to clench my eyes shut, just not to throw up. My eyes were sore, and black dots danced across my sight, making me feel worse. Due to my head injury, I felt incredibly dizzy, and I wasn't sure if I was bleeding.
I looked around the room, scared out of my mind. Chloe was a trap! How could she do this to me?! I trusted her!
I let out a sob, tears pouring from my eyes. I couldn't wipe my tears away, which only made me feel even more pathetic. I started heaving, trying to spot anything through my tears.
I then heard high heels clicking on the ground. My head shot up, to see Chloe.
"Chloe, what the hell?! Why are you doing this to me?!" I shouted, almost bursting into tears again.
"My name isn't Chloe, its Jasmine," she told me devilishly.
"So that mean…you lied to me!" I realised, shaking my head as I tried to struggle from my bonds.
That means that the real Chloe is waiting for me! She must be worried sick… Lily would get worried, too, and Gary would…
"LET ME OUT OF HERE!" I screamed at her, a salty tear rolling down my cheek.
"No. Lady Karen will be here soon to…deal with you," she told me, as I gasped.
"I KNEW Karen was behind this!" I muttered loudly, struggling again.
"Yes, you stupid girl. Haven't you ever heard the phrase…'Stranger Danger'?" she taunted, walking around me in a circle. The lights were dim, which only made her look more menacing.
I tried to move my legs, when I screamed in pain. I looked down to see a burn, which seared agony through my body, every time I moved it.
"Oh, so you saw that…" she mumbled, smiling. "That goes to show what'll happen if you don't cooperate."
I gulped, knowing that no one could save me now…
"GARY!" I cried, calling out for my boyfriend's help. Expectantly, no one answered. No one would help me, or even hear my cried.
I was all alone.
WOW! I tried to add in a lot of drama, and I guessed it worked…? Uhm, I'm just happy to be able to finish this, I kept getting distracted. -_- I'm not proud of it.
I'm not sure when the next chapter will be up, because egoshipper has started school, and I'll be starting next month. So…it could be a while (STUPID HOMEWORK).
Next chapter will be the last! It's been a real pleasure to write this, so yay! ^^
Please: Review, review and review! :D
