Claude retreated to his room. Why did Sebastian do that? Life wasn't on Claude's side, and he didn't know what he wanted to do with it. Now Sebastian threw his life away for him. In truth Claude felt nothing but happiness on his deathbed when he thought about how all his suffering would end. And how the two of them will meet in the afterlife. He punched the wall with all the force he could muster,"Ow!" He held his burning hand. A tear rolled down his face. What did he expect from Claude? All he ever did was sit around, and read all day. Sebastian's soul will be lost forever all because of Claude.

Claude realized how hot his face was. He walked to the bathroom to get a drink. Slow steps were needed to keep his balance. His dizziness faded a little after he drank some water, but he still felt uneasy. He splashed water on his face, and cooled down. There had to be something he could do to prevent Ciel from eating Sebastian. Now he understood how important it was to find a purpose in life and become successful. But how can he do that when he wants to sleep all the time?

When he sat down in front of his computer he searched ," Demon contracts" on Google to see exactly what Sebastian got himself into. One site explained how demons took a little bit of their host's energy every day in exchange for a wish. Is that the type of demon Sebastian has? He remembered that Sebastian mentioned something about how Ciel will take his soul, kind of like all at once, so that's probably not it. Then he found a site that talked about the story of Faust or someone like that. Faust sounded similar to Claude's last name, Faustus. Odd. He continued to click on random sites that popped up, but most of the information sounded fake and ridiculous.

"I should just give up," Claude said. That would be a nice thing to do after hours of searching, but that was not an option. No one else would try and get Sebastian out of his contract. Besides he sold his soul for him. Claude leaned back in his chair and rubbed his forehead," How am I supposed to do this?

He typed, "How to get someone out of Hell," and clicked all the links and each one of them said that you couldn't get someone out of Hell, but you could prevent yourself from being damned, and become pure again. He stood up and slammed his fist on the table, "That's not what I want you dumb ass!"

No don't get mad, there had to be a way to get Sebastian out.

Wait a minute, Sebastian wasn't in Hell yet, so if he changed his ways then he could possibly avoid going to Hell. But how do you change your ways when you're stuck in a contract with a demon?

After hours of reading he finally found a site that gave step-by-step instructions on how to get someone out of Hell. It was made for people who were already in Hell, but it's the only one he could find.

First he had to fast for eight hours. Every night he got about eight hours of sleep, so he will do the prayer thing in the morning. The second rule emphasized how important it was to stay away from nonbelievers during the prayer. Would Ciel count as a disbeliever? He better leave the apartment just in case. The third step was to remain silent one hour during the prayer. Yeah, he should definitely leave. The fourth one said to hold a bible in one hand and something the person owns in another. So he would steal something from Sebastian later, and finally the fifth one was to ask God to forgive them. God would probably do that if Sebastian's only sin had been to make a contract with a demon, especially since he did it to save him.

The next day Claude woke up, and wrote a note to Sebastian that said," I'll be out for a bit, and will be back around noon," and he set in on the kitchen counter. The only problem with this plan is how Sebastian might look for him. Please wake up late.

Claude ventured outside his house and searched for a secluded area that wasn't too far from home. The morning glare from the sun hurt Claude's eyes, so he hoped to find a shady area. There were a few open areas, but a group of teenagers loitered around. If anyone ventured too close to him, then they had the ability to ruin it. And Sebastian wouldn't let him go on walks every day. Finally he found a place with a few trees and no people. He sat behind the biggest tree, and closed his eyes. The wind played with Claude's hair, but he didn't mind. How long has it been sense he could enjoy being outside? This time he had the privilege of being alone. To pass the time he watched all the colors of cars, the joggers and bikers through the open spaces of the plants. They had somewhere to go. They had a purpose, but he didn't. The guilt in Claude's chest hurt more than he could bare. He knew Sebastian had kind intentions, but instead he put Claude through Hell.

After an hour, he reached inside his bag and grabbed one of Sebastian's shirts. It wasn't anything special, but the article never said it had to be. He unfolded the shirt and it said "resurrect your demons."

"Ugg, of course I grab this shirt!" There was no way he would go back and get a new one, but he didn't know if this would affect the result. Religion wasn't the most important thing to Claude, but he will definitely use it to his advantage when necessary. He held the shirt in his left hand and a bible in his right, and took a deep breath, "Please forgive Sebastian. He doesn't hate you; he just saw no other option but to make a pact with a demon to resurrect me. Sebastian did this for the greater good. Please, he's only 18 and still needs time to become a good person," He sat there for a minute. Did it work? He'll have to wait until Sebastian dies.

That's just torture.

Alois roamed the streets at night. What else could a demon do after they ate a soul that kept him full for 50 years? This is his chance to learn about humans emotions!

First he checked the windows of all the houses with an interesting design to see if anyone looked worthy, but he didn't see any activity since the lights were out. Late in the night he came across a humble apartment complex. If these extravagant houses didn't grab his attention then something different might. It's worth a try. He leaped onto a balcony of one and peeked through the window. The lights were on! Was that one of his customers at that one fashion convention? Alois took his phone out of his pocket and looked through his contacts. According to that list, a guy named Claude lived here. Alois closed his eyes. Who was he again? Why did he have absolutely no talent when it came to putting names with faces? He opened the window and climbed inside.

Claude sat up immediately, "What the fuck?" He jumped out of bed and ran to the door, but Alois beat him to it and blocked the exit. Yeah. This was the guy who wouldn't buy his stockings.

"Can we talk?" Alois asked. He knew Claude must have been freaked out, and thought he was stalking him. Okay, that's pretty much what he was doing, but he didn't want to harm him.

"You!" Claude hissed, but was cut off when Alois put his strong hand over his mouth.

"I know I look creepy, but please listen to me. He took his hand off Claude and breathed in his face. The breath of a demon can deceive and tempt humans into anything. It sometimes even tempted other demons if one was skilled enough. By fogging up their thoughts and logic, the victim only uses desire to make decisions. It feels like they have no real control of their actions, but in reality they do. Or maybe they don't. Who knows? Who cares? Humans do of course, but demons have no reason to.

Alois took his hand off Claude's mouth so he could speak, "Okay, what do you want to say?" Claude said.

"You look lonely. What's the matter?"

Claude narrowed his eyes, "Why do you care?"

"I like helping people, just tell me what you need help with and I can see what I can do." He really didn't know if Claude deals with any major problems, but every human seems to have something wrong with them. Anything could push them over the edge whether it be death, disease, or even losing a useless piece of plastic or a harmless insult. It's kind of funny, but he imagined how difficult living life would be if he thought like humans.

Claude took a deep breath, "I know you won't believe this, but my boyfriend made a contract with a demon and the demon will apparently take his soul. What does that even mean?"

How fitting. "When a demon eats a human soul it means they turn to energy for the demon and are lost forever. They fall into oblivion, but don't worry there is a way to stop this even after a contract is formed." This was perfect! A problem with demons calls for another demon. Who still makes contracts anyway? Didn't one demon prove that it was damaging about 200 years ago?

Claude's eyes lit up," Are you serious? Tell me now!"

"You either have to kill the demon or the human. Unfortunately it's always easier to kill the human but I can help you with that," Alois explained.

"So what do we have to do?"

Alois leaned his head towards Claude and instructed Claude to do the same, and in a whisper he said, "We have to make sure his demon isn't nearby, so someone will have to distract him."

"Let's do it," Claude said and reached for the door, but Alois stopped him.

"First of all, we need to see what makes your boyfriend's demon distracted, and second of all I don't do things for free."

Claude backed away from Alois crossed his arms over his heart, and said, "I'll give you anything except my soul!"

"That's fine. Since I'm a demon, we can make a contract. I won't eat your soul though," Alois said.

This was what Sebastian did. He made a contract with a demon and it ended badly. Doing the same thing doesn't sound like the best idea, but he had no options. If Sebastian couldn't go to heaven, then Claude will happily join him in Hell. This whole ordeal may not go perfectly, but it will be fine as long as Alois doesn't eat his soul.

"Okay let's do it. I'm not stupid, and I know that you want something in return. What is it?"

"I want your friendship."

Claude squinted his eyes," What?"

"Hey I don't have any friends and it gets lonely. Especially if you have such a long life. Please I'm not trying to trick you."

Was he? He now realized that he didn't know any demon social norms or rules. If he asked Alois then he could just lie in his favor, but he sounded so sad. He could trust him. Claude closed his eyes and said, "I believe you."

"Let's get started then. Where do you want the contract seal to be place on your body?" Alois asked.

Claude had trouble thinking straight. All of Alois' words and Claude's thoughts floated around his head. Deciphering them was impossible. Where should he put it? On his heart? "Which part of my body is the best for it?"

"Anywhere you want. Just keep in mind that the more visible it is to other people, the stronger the bond."

Was that a good thing? Alois seemed nice and he wanted to be friends with him, so visible it is," Put it on my wrist."

"Now tell me what you want from me."

"I want you to break Sebastian's contract with Ciel, and allow him and I to be together in the afterlife."

"You know that's Hell, right?" Alois said.

"I don't care."

Alois grabbed hold of Claude's wrist, and grinned," Are you ready?"

That voice sounded creepy. "I guess," He said, void of certainty. Alois pushed Claude's sleeve up, and pressed his hand on his wrist. Fuck. Fuck! It stung, no it burned. Claude screamed, and Alois appeared to be enjoying himself. Why did he agree to do this? That demon's face showed no signs of sympathy. The only thing Claude wanted was to get away from him, but he had to do this to save Sebastian. Tears welled in his eyes from the pain," Stop it," He crocked.

"Sorry, but I'm not finished." Claude continued to beg him to stop, but creating contracts was a lengthy process. He finished 10 minutes later, and Claude grabbed his wrist, but all the pain was gone. He wasn't even tired.

"Am I supposed to not feel pain when it's over?"

"Yeah, you'll never feel pain on the contract symbol again."

Claude laughed, "That's good. I don't wanna feel anything like that again."
