Annabella: They also will NEVER own Percy, Nico, or Leo.
Kat C.: WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?! I CREATED YOU! I CAN GET RID OF YOU JUST LIKE THAT!
Tiffany, Aislin, and Annabella: you wouldn't dare! We're too important to the plot!
Kat C.: Touché characters... Fine I'm not Uncle Rick therefore, I own nothing except my oc's and the plot...
Now on to the story!
Lady Hestia held her hand out to Aislin. "Child" she said. Aislin looked at her with a shocked expression that slowly turned puzzled. She mouthed something I couldn't make out and Hestia nodded. Aislin and Hestia looked at each other as if searching for something in the others face. Everyone watched them in shock and confusion. Slowly Aislin's puzzled expression dissipated and she looked worried. Hestia nodded although I hadn't heard them speak at all. The goddess disappeared. Aislin turned to Chiron.
"The goddess wishes to speak with her family. She will return soon." She explained.
She's very quiet, I almost couldn't hear her. Suddenly thunder rolled across the camp as the ground started to shake. Dark clouds gathered and rain started to fall. This was a big deal. It never rained here unless we wanted it to; much less the rain that was falling now. With a start I realized it was SALTWATER! Lightning flashed as the saltwater rain poured down and a gaping crevice opened in the earth. We all gasped as three men came forth. The big three together in one area. This couldn't be good. Zeus stepped forward and glared at Aislin. I expected her to shrink back in fear. It went with what I had pieced together of her personality. But she surprised me by simply closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. What was she doing? She opened her eyes and spoke to Zeus.
"Hello my lord, may I inquire as to why you have come with your brothers? The Goddess told me to expect you."
She's very VERY quiet. It's almost like she couldn't talk loud if she wanted to. Her voice, that I could hear of it, was sorta high like she sang soprano, and it had a bit of an Irish accent. She spoke with almost Victorian-esque style as if she was from a different era. My father stepped forward to address her.
"Do not play innocent!" He growled "We have come because you are not supposed to exist!"
She kept her head down as she spoke. "My lords," she said addressing all of them. "I am truly unaware of what you mean. Why am I not to exist? I don't even know who I am or who my mother is! The goddess..."
"PAH! The GODDESS... Address us by our proper names and with due respect girl! Or you will taste my bolt as it goes down your throat!" Zeus shouted at her.
Her head whipped up, eyes blazing with anger.
"You DARE ask me to respect YOU?! I believe in respecting people by their words and actions! All you have done since you have arrived in this place is yell at and threaten me! Threats inspire fear, And as I recall fear does NOT inspire respect! I will not stand here while you yell at me! I am not a mere pet, not a dog! I have a mind of my own! I think and act for myself. Lady Hestia said that you were coming to speak with me, and you show up and yell at me for something I do not even know I have done! And you have not the decency to explain! Respect you? I think NOT. Not until you can learn that power does not make you the most important person in the world, and can explain calmly and civilly! All of you!"
I think that was the longest string of words that has ever come out of her mouth. Except perhaps when she was yelling at me in the infirmary. The gods and the campers looked at her in shock then the gods's faces hardened.
"You will not speak to us in this way! For this you WILL die!" they all say at once.
They summoned their weapons of power. The helm of darkness and the sword for my father, the master bolt for Zeus, and Poseidon's trident. Although he looked reluctant to use it. Aislin didn't look afraid, instead her eyes blazed with anger although her face was fixed in a mask of calm. The gods lifted their weapons and she turned her head away. Perhaps she didn't want to see her death approach. Suddenly a blinding light filled the amphitheater. When we were able to see again we saw a terrifying sight. Hestia stood in front of the fire which had grown to gigantic size and scorching temperature. It felt like I was melting. The gods stepped back, they would not harm or kill the goddess, but where was Aislin? The gods didn't care about her life! Then again, I don't necessarily care either. I don't even know her. Then I saw her, and nearly had a heart attack. She was in the fire. Unconscious in the FIRE! She was going to be burned to a crisp! Hmmm, I wonder if that's possible? Shouldn't the Ichor in her blood protect her? The gods moved forward as if to order Hestia out of the way, but her voice rolled across camp.
"YOU SHALL NOT TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!"
Wait, WHAT?! NO BLOODY WAY! She CAN'T be... I thought about her. I hadn't really officially met her, but when I saw her in the infirmary, she did look like her, and the way she never seemed to look at you if you were talking to her or her you. She also had this annoying optimism to her and an odd sense of peacefulness that really made me dislike her. It was as if she thought that nothing bad could ever happen to her and any unfortunate events came as a surprise. Plus she didn't seem to be burning. She really was the daughter of Hestia! My father had once mentioned children of Hestia. He said that there had never been one before because she was a maiden, but there was a prophecy from the old Titan war. It said that one day Hestia would have a child, a daughter, and that she was to have great responsibility. But she would be cursed. The prophecy didn't say what she would be cursed with, but Hades told me that the child would be dangerous. The gods seemed to be having one of their telepathic conversations. FINALLY Zeus turned to Hestia.
"We will allow the girl to live. But let her know that one day your protection will fail, and if she meets us during that time. She WILL feel our wrath."
The three disappeared and the fire died down. Hestia brought her out of the fire, and I could see that her friends were trying to keep themselves from going to check on her. I was too, but only from morbid curiosity. I wanted to see if she was burnt at all. Hestia disappeared and she woke up seconds later. Chiron had her stand and proclaimed her claiming.
"The eldest Olympian and the last Olympian. The keeper of Hope, and the goddess of the hearth and home. Hail Aislin McGee demigod daughter of Hestia."
We all bowed and whispers broke out among groups. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had heard the stories. Chiron stomped his hove and announced a counselors meeting. He bent down and said something to Aislin who nodded and climbed onto his back side-saddle as if she'd ridden horses many times before. All the counselors stood up and filed out, including me unfortunately...
A/N: (part dos)
Oooh Aislin's getting her smart mouth on!
ok on to the 2014 review-thing-that-should-have-a-name-but-doesn't-because-I'm-letting-you-name-because-I'm-cool-like-that! So my plan is to get a review for every day leading up to New Years! And then if half of the people that viewed my story review, we'll do something awesome that we'll let you partially decide ( because you know I get to decide after all!) so that's it, well not really. I'm going to talk to Kat R. And see if we can't have a party of some kind for Christmas! It all depends, but I think I can convince her!
Ciao for now!
