And here is the second chapter. I hope you enjoy it.

Disclamer: See Chapter 1

Not sure if I've done that in a while.

Callen pocketed the phone and looked over at Yana on the couch. Her eye had swollen so much, despite the ice they kept in the freezer, that it was nearly closed. Her split lips had stopped bleeding but not before leaving a large stain on her shirt. He went over and called to her to make sure that she was awake. He was sure that she had a concussion, and while he wasn't a hundred per cent sure, he decided to treat it as such. He smiled as he got a response from the younger woman and though about what had happened as they drove to Arkady's.

"You ok Cal?" Yana asked him.

"Yep." He hoped that she would drop it, but it seemed that she had picked up on Deeks need to keep asking.

"Bullshit. You're worried."

Realising that lying to her was out of the question, and that had she been able to read him so easily, he sighed and decided to tell her. "Arkady never calls me. In the fourteen years I've known him, he's never called me."

"So, what, you think it's a trap?"

"I'm starting to." As he said it Yana pulled out the gun from the small of her back and checked it while Callen twisted in his seat and did the same, his eyes never leaving the road.

Callen pulled up to Arkady's mansion and he walked straight in, no doorbell or knocking, gun raised as Yana fell into step behind him. He was starting to get worried when he didn't hear anything until he went out onto the patio area, and there was his old friend.

"Arkady, you ok?" He asked as he swept the area to make sure it was clear.

"G, what's with the gun and who is this lovely lady?" Arkady stood as Yana came up behind Callen. Her back had been facing him so he hadn't seen her face, but as she turned, Arkady swore in Russian as Yana gasped.

"You!" they both said. Yana's gun came up again while Arkady reached for one that wasn't there. They stood staring at each other for several seconds, Arkady nodding in Callen's direction once while Yana shook her head, before Yana lowered her weapon and backed up as Arkady sat down again.

"Yana, how do you know him?" Callen asked. As far as he knew, Arkady had been in the country for close to ten years.

"Undercover." Was all she said. Callen could have sworn that there were tears in her eyes.

Callen looked to his old friend, hoping for a little more elaboration.

"Several years after our failed oil mission, I did a job in conjunction with the police in the Ukraine. A crime family, she was one of them. Now I see that she was undercover too?"

"Scotland Yard." Yana nodded.

Seeing that that was all that was going to be said, but realising that there was a hell of a lot more to the story he asked "Why did you call me Arkady, you never do."

"No, but this I had to talk to about in person. And you are the only one I trust G. Please sit." He pointed to the chairs. Callen sat but noticed that Yana was still standing.

"You joining us?" He asked.

"I'd rather stand." Was all she said. But she was looking around.

Arkady handed a folder over to Callen who started to read it. His head snapped up as he read a line, boring into his old friends eyes. "You sure about this?"

"As sure as you are sitting in front of me."

"Cal?" Yana had stepped forward when she heard his tone.

"There is going to be an attack on the Marine Corp Birthday celebrations in Washington. Why haven't we heard about this?"

"The FBI probably has, and want to be the centre of attention. Plus, they were using the postal service to plan it. An old friend is renting with one of them and happened to read the letter. He passed in information onto me to pay off a debt."

"Thanks old friend." Callen shook his hand and snapped open his phone. He quickly told Hetty what he had discovered and all the information he had about it. Just as he hung up, one of Arkady's bodyguards came into the room, saw Yana standing there and ran at her. Before Callen could do anything, the man punched her with enough force to knock her to the ground.

"What are you doing?" he yelled, restraining him as the man took another swing at her.

"She killed my brother!" Then he realised who was holding him "And you're allowing her to work with you?"

"What?"

"Cal, let him go. Arkady, get Callen out of here, please. I'll explain everything." Yana said from the floor as she looked up at Arkady. Her voice sounded a little slurred, but she had a defiant look in her eyes.

"Wha…" was all he could say as Arkady suddenly grabbed his gun, took him by the arm and forced him from the room. He tried to get out of the iron grip as he heard another blow land on Yana. "Arkady, let go of me." He growled as he tried again. Nothing worked and he found himself being shoved into a small closet. Arkady quickly took his keys, cell phone, wallet, even the bobby pin he carried in his back pocket, slammed the door and locked it. Callen beat at the door for several long minutes before he realised that he was only hurting himself and that Arkady had no intention of letting him out until he was good and ready. He lent against the door trying to hear anything, but all he could hear was the sound of his blood rushing and his heart thumping.

Nearly twenty minutes later, Arkady opened the door. Callen rounded on him. "What the hell is going on, Arkady?"

"Cal." A weak voice called out to him that made him turn. He saw Yana leaning on a different guard and the one that had started it all nowhere in sight.

He took his partner from the man and asked "What is going on?"

"You have a very loyal partner G. Agent Hanna is the only other person I have come across with this level of loyalty." Arkady said as he closed the closet door. "But I prefer him to Miss Talbot; he does not send my men into a killing rage."

"Yana?"

"Not here." She managed to say. He looked at her lips and was relieved to see that they weren't blue, which meant a punctured lung. Her breathing was a little on the light side, so he guessed that a couple of ribs were cracked.

"I'll take you back to ops,"

"No, not there, boat shed, please Callen. I'll explain what I can there." It was the first time in weeks that she had called him Callen so he nodded and somehow managed to get her to his car. Arkady had followed and helped him to put her in.

"What did she tell you?" Callen asked him after he had shut the door.

"Just that she would do it all again." Arkady saw the look of surprise on his face as he handed his friends things back. "She has not told you anything?" at Callen's shake "Maybe she will tell you a little now."

I needed to included Arkady in this somehow as I love his character and I hope I have done him justice.
