Sorry it took so long. Been trying to find the inspiration to write and haven't had much time. I'll try updating faster though. Working on most of my stories.
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail. I wish I did. Freed wouldn't be so quiet and lonely if I did.
Previously:
"Your affections for her are growing." Evergreen says, looking at Freed – who was gazing out the open door, watching as Lucy begins making figurines in the air with the water, the mermaid spirit praising her.
"What?" Freed asks, looking his teammate, making the rest of the group laugh.
"You're falling in love with Cosplayer Queen." Bickslow says, summing up all their thoughts in one sentence.
"She wouldn't like me. Not after what we've put her through." Freed denies.
"She's letting us stay here even after we all tried to hurt her and the guild. Gramps thinks there may be hope for the two of you. He'd babble about it for hours when I was helping him with the paperwork for the guild." Laxus comments.
Currently:
"Lucy?" Aquarius asks. "How are you holding up?"
"What do you mean?" Lucy asks tilting her head as she concentrates on the water fairy that was dancing around her.
"You've been gone for 3 years. And you still have that crush on him. You might pretend otherwise, but I know you. You're still hung over Freed." Aquarius replies.
"Aquarius, I gave that up. He wouldn't...he couldn't..." Lucy trails off and sighs as all the water figures pop and the water falls around her gently as she falls to her knees, her shoulders shaking.
Aquarius looks at the group that was standing in the door way before she creates a curtain of rushing water, surrounding her and her master, masking their conversation.
"He couldn't look at me, Aqua-chan." Lucy looks up with tears in her honey brown eyes as she sniffles. Aquarius embraces the 20 year old female and holds her tight.
"I'm not sure that's entirely true." Aquarius admonishes, making the blond look up with wide yet hopeful eyes.
"What do you mean?" Lucy asks tilting her head as her tears shimmer in the water reflections and the moonlight.
"I mean that the whole time you were practicing, he was watching you, longingly." Aquarius snickers as the blond blushes.
"He's probably just curious." Lucy says, attempting to squash any and all hope the mermaid spirit was raising.
"I'm not so sure. It's the same look Scorpio gave me before I said yes to him." Aquarius replies.
"Whatever, Aqua-chan. Are we done for tonight? I'm starting to fall asleep." The blond replies as she parts her plump lips in a yawn before she curls up in a circle and promptly falls asleep. Aquarius smiles tenderly at the blond as she breaks the water curtain and nods at the group that was standing behind it, all wearing curious looks.
"Yes?" The mermaid spirit asks, her anger raising slightly.
"Nothing." The group replies quickly, flushing under the inspection of the blue-haired mermaid.
"Someone get her to bed. And change her clothes too." Aquarius says as she vanishes in the familiar curtain of silver and gold sparkles.
Evergreen looks at the males before directing her look at Freed.
"Freed could you carry her to her room? I'll take care of changing her clothes." The only other female takes charge as Bickslow and Laxus walk inside and go to their rooms which were pointed out by the blond earlier. Freed sighs and agrees as he walks over to the strangely dry piece of grass and picks up the blond beauty, trying to ignore her curves and the fact that it felt right carrying her like a princess, or even a bride. Evergreen snickers at the slight blush covering the Rune Mage's cheeks as he climbs the stairs to the blond's room.
"Why must a demon like me fall for an angel like you?" Freed whispers as he lies the blond down on her bed before pressing a slight kiss to her forehead before walking out of the room with a frown on his face. Evergreen steps around the corner with a small smile on her lips as she steps in and sorts through the blond's clothes, grinning when she spies a specific set of pajamas. Turning to the blond, Evergreen lifts the blond up, jumping when a shimmr of golden sparkles signifies the arrival of one of Lucy's spirits.
"Why are you touching my Hime?" A monotonous feminine voice says.
"Virgo, right?" Evergreen asks, tilting her had.
"Yes." The pink-haired spirit replies. "Why are you touching my Hime?" The maid replies.
"I was changing her for bed. Her mermaid spirit told me to." Evergreen replies, instantly on the defensive.
"I'll help you then." Virgo replies as she lifts the blond's torso off the mattress, allowing Evergreen to remove the blond's shirt and bra and replace it with a silk and lace camisole before removing the blond's shorts and replacing it with the silk boy shorts. With a small smile to the maid spirit, Evergreen curls up next to the blond and promptly falls asleep.
Timeskip: Next morning
"Urgh." The blond groans as she stretches her arms out, whacking a green-haired male on the nose.
"Ouch!" The male shouts in shock, making the blond's eyes fly open as she gropes for her keys, blushing as she gropes a male's body. "Hey!" He shouts. Looking up, the blond blushes bright red as she looks up and sees Freed Justine pinned against the wall with a snickering Evergreen on the opposite side of the room.
"What's going on!?" Lucy shouts.
"Laxus-sama and Bickslow wanted to know if you were going to make breakfast." Freed says. "They voted for me to come wake you and Ever up to see if you'd make breakfast."
"Oh. I'll be right down." Lucy replies as she stretches her arms and back once more, popping her chest out unconciously, making the rune mage turn bright red. Evergreen snickers as the blond tosses the rune mage a curious glance before shrugging and moving to stand and walk out to the kitchen, swaying her hips as she scurries around, pulling out bacon, eggs, and bread. "Bacon, eggs and toast okay?" She calls to the group sitting out on the rocks next to her natural spring.
"That's fine Blondie." Laxus calls, making the blond huff in anger.
"YOU'RE BLONDE TOO, MORON!" Lucy shouts in agitation, making Laxus chuckle in amusement and making Evergreen facepalm.
"Lucy's going to hit you, you know." Evergreen says, making Bickslow snort.
"Cosplay Queen can't do much damage." Bickslow replies with a roll of his eyes.
"I've been training for two years. I'm on my third year training asshole." Lucy says as she appears behind Bickslow. "Do you wanna see something I learned?" Lucy asks as she tilts her head to the left slightly.
"Sure." Bickslow says, believing that he has the upper hand. Lucy smirks before holding her arms to the side, lifting them slowly until they meet above her head. (like Mavis when Tenroujima resurfaces)
"Guardian of Fire, lend me your strength to reduce my foes to ash! Gate of the Fire Guardian, I open thee, Arianna!" Lucy chants as her hair darkens to a deep strawberry blond and whisps of fire appear behind her, creating fire-like wings. Upon opening her eyes, the blond's usually chocolate brown eyes deepened to a charcoal gray. "Are you sure you think you can beat me still?" Lucy asks, her usually bright voice now a seductive whisper.
"You learned a trick to change your body. That won't beat me." Bickslow snorts as he watches the blond. Lucy smirks, as she focuses her magic into the wings, making the fire burn bright and turn golden as she flies up into the air. Rotating her palms, the blond floats mid-air as a cyclone of fire circles around her, burning everything it touches, reducing her beautiful herb garden to nothing but ash.
"Lucy-san, maybe you should stop, you ruined your herbs." Freed states, his eyes betraying the awe he held with the blond.
"That's nothing." Lucy chuckles as she disperses the magic, landing in a crouch on the piles of ash. "Guardian of Earth, lend me your strength to grow new life, new magic, new grounds! Gate of the Searing Earth, I open thee! Sakura!" Lucy chants once more as her hair darkens to a dirty blond, her eyes darkening to a deep brown. Once again raising her hands, the blond looks like a praying angel as she kneels in the dirt, closing her dark brown eyes in concentration, surprising the group of mages when the herbs regrow and multiply.
"I see what you mean, Lucy-san." Freed says, his eyes wide making the blond giggle as she skips inside to finish cooking the food.
"I have to go soon to start my training, so if one of you could clean the dishes I would appreciate it. I'll be home later tonight." Lucy says as she lays the food onto the table.
"That's not a problem, Lucy-san." Freed says, making the blond smile at him.
"Just call me Lucy, Freed." Lucy blushes slightly before she digs into her food, eating as if she hadn't eaten supper the night before.
"Very well, Lucy-sa...Lucy." Freed smiles at the blond before eating some of the food, ignoring the looks Evergreen sends his way.
"Well, I have to go. I need to catch up with Diana and start training." Lucy says as she stands up and puts her dishes in the sink.
"Have a good day, Lucy!" Evergreen smiles at the blond.
"Arigato." Lucy smiles back before skipping out the door with a pair of combat boots in hand.
Without another word, Freed stands up and begins doing the dishes for the blond.
"So, what's on the agenda for today, Laxus?" Bickslow asks as he looks at their leader.
"We need to find out where these dark guilds are hiding in this forest." Laxus replies.
"Very well." The group replies before they smile at the green-haired mage who was too occupied with scrubbing the dishes for the blond female.
With Lucy~
"You're late, Lucy." Diana says as she materializes out of thin air.
"Sorry. I have some house guests to deal with." Lucy grumbles before blushing as she remembers the incident that very morning.
"What happened?" Diana asks, looking at the blushing blond.
"Nothing." Lucy replies quickly as she tries redirecting the redhead to the lessons. "Can we start with Requip?" Lucy asks as she tilts her head.
"Fine." Diana grumbles, unhappy that she wasn't able to get any asnwers out of the blond. "First you need to imagine the pocket of space that you'll store everything in. Create that vortex that only you can access." Diana instructs as Lucy closes her eyes, doing as instructed.
"Now what?" The blond asks as she keeps her eyes closed.
Hours later (too lazy right now to describe this. Might edit it in later or do a flashback)
"Are we done yet?" A sweaty blond asks as she sits up.
"We're done. We were able to get your keys in the pocket. That's more than anyone's ever been able to progress in a single day." Diana says with a look of pride on her face.
"Really?" Lucy asks tilting her head to look up at her current mentor.
"Yes, really." Diana says. "Now get back to your house. You have mouths to feed, right?" She aks with a smirk on her face. Lucy groans as she remembers her second house full of guests.
"Don't remind me." Lucy mutters as she flops back down and glares at the sky.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Diana asks as she looks down at the pouting blond.
"Two guys who don't know when to stop teasing me, one who I had a massive crush, and frankly still do. And a new friend who I don't know how to deal with." Lucy sighs as she looks at the redhead standing next to her.
"Well, what do you want to talk about first?" Diana asks, looking at the blond beauty.
"I don't know. I should get back to cook supper. They're all probably starving by now." Lucy mutters as she stands up and walks towards the house. Evergreen smiles as she walks through the woods, catching up with the blond.
"Lucy!" Evergreen calls, running forward.
"Evergreen!" Lucy shrieks, whirling around with wide eyes.
"I was looking for you! I wanted to see if you wanted help cooking dinner tonight. Laxus has been complaining since we got to the house, but we didn't know if you wanted us to wait for you or anything." Evergreen explains as she catches up to the blond.
"That's fine." Lucy shrugs. "Tomorrow night, if I'm not there before you, you can acually make something as long as I have food for me to eat. And Laxus isn't allowed in my fridge. At all. Neither is Bickslow. So if either you or Freed could make food, I would appreciate it." Lucy yawns as she and Evergreen walk side-by-side to the house.
"That's not an issue. Where are your keys and whip by the way?" Evergreen asks.
"Secret." Lucy snickers as she puts one finger in front of her mouth.
"No fair!" Evergreen pouts, making Lucy giggle.
"I have my secrets, and you have yours. How is that not fair?" Lucy asks as she tilts her head, eyeing the brunette.
"That's true." Evergreen mutters unwillingly, making Lucy smile brightly.
"That's right." Lucy sticks her tongue out as she cracks her back once before entering the kitchen, kicking out everyone before making five bowls of porridge and setting them on the table, yawning once more. "Let's eat!" Lucy calls before eating her food and putting it in the sink before falling sideways, snoring contently as she curls up on the kitchen floor.
"We might want to put her in bed..." Laxus mutters before turning and walking up the stairs going to his room with Bickslow following behind him. Evergreen snorts as she and Freed bring the blond to her room once more and Evergreen and Virgo change the blond.
"Night Freed." Evergreen calls, knowing the green-haired male heard her from the bathroom next door.
"Night, Ever." Freed replies before he goes to his room and falling asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.
In the blond's room, the brunette curls up next to the blond who was snoring contently on the opposite side of the queen sized bed.
"Who do you have a crush on?" Evergreen mutters before closing her brown eyes and promptly falling asleep.
Morning (Please bear with me. I'm doing what I can to write a longer chapter for everyone.)
"Wahh!" Lucy yawns as she wakes up at dawn, glancing down to see a sleeping Evergreen lying next to her, making the blond smile. Lucy slowly detangles herself and stands up, stretching her muscles as she pads softly downstairs, smiling as she hears the snoring of Laxus and Bickslow. With a small smile, Lucy turns and walks outside, requiping Capricorn and Aquarius's keys to call on the two spirits.
"Good Morning, Lucy-sama." Capricorn greets the blond.
"Morning brat." Aquarius smiles at the blond, making Lucy giggle.
"Morning Aqua, Capricorn." Lucy greets as she sits on the ground preparing to meditate. "How are things in the spirit world?" She asks as she feels the swell of power in her body.
"Things are going well. Loke has asked Aries out on a date." Capricorn says, keeping Aquarius's news to himself, not wanting the tempermental mermaid spirit to drown him.
"It's about time." Lucy says.
"It is." Aquarius agrees, an excited glow on her face. "And I have some news of my own." She adds, making Lucy pop an eye open to examine the spirit.
"What's that? You're not pregnant are you?" Lucy teases with a relaxed expression on her face.
"Nope. Scorpio proposed to me!" Aquarius squeals, making Lucy jump in place with a squeal of her own.
"That's amazing!" Lucy giggles.
Lucy and Aquarius talked for an hour while Lucy was meditating as Capricorn admires his mage's strength.
"Lucy-sama. I think you should go make breakfast for you and your gaping company." Capricorn says before vanishing with a pouting Aquarius who made Lucy promise to call her out that night to continue conversations. Popping her back, the blond stands up and waltzes around the stunned group and continues to the kitchen, making bacon and eggs once more before scarfing her food down and putting the dishes in the sink.
"I'll be back tonight." Lucy calls, breaking the group out of their stupor as she walks out the door, putting her keys back into her requip space.
Walking down the path to the field with a waiting Diana, Lucy hums a small tune before skipping up behind her mentor and tackling her.
"Hiya." Lucy giggles.
"Hey brat." Diana smiles at the blond. "Let's get to work. Although you really don't need anything else on requip. You have that down really good. Do you know someone who was a requip mage?" Diana asks as she tilts her head.
"Yeah. I had a friend on my team that uses Reuip." Lucy smiles before looking at her. "So are we starting teleportation today?" Lucy asks in excitement.
"Yes we are." Diana replies, making Lucy squeal in excitement.
Night Time
"Bye Diana! I'll see you tomorrow!" Lucy calls as she walks away. Distracting herself with thoughts of a certain green-haired mage, Lucy failed to notice the very mage calling her name and trying to get her attention that was standing about 10 feet away. Lucy smiles softly as she continues delving into her imagination before speeding up to cook supper, making her collide with Freed.
"Are you okay?" Freed asks as he looks up at the blond beauty who seems to be slowly snapping herself out of her daze.
"Huh?" Lucy asks as she looks around, trying to piece together what happened before blushing profusely at the position the two mages were in. Lucy was on top of Freed with her hands resting on his chest and her legs settled in between his while Freed had his hands wrapped tightly around the blond's waist. Jumping from the green-haired mage with a red face Lucy stutters out a rapid apologoy.
"It's fine. What were you thinking about that you so distracted?" Freed asks, making the blond sweat. She couldn't very well tell him that he was the reason she drifted off into fantasys at any given moment.
"I was wondering how the guild was doing." Lucy sighs as she thinks about the friends she left behind, and the promise to return as soon as she finished training.
"It's okay." Freed smiles at the blond as they begin walking back to the house, chatting the entire way.
"I should cook dinner." Lucy sighs.
"Ah, I actually already cooked dinner. That's what I wanted to tell you." Freed blushes slightly before looking away, attempting to hide his blush.
"Thank you, Freed." Lucy smiles before pressing a small kiss to Freed's cheek. "I should go eat. I need to meditate before bed."
"You're welcome." Freed smiles as Lucy rushes into the house, eating the soup quickly before going out back, calling Aquarius once more.
"Hello Brat." Aquarius smiles at the blushing blond before raising a brow. "Something happen?" She asks.
"Yeah." Lucy sighs as she begins making water figures of her favorite members of Fairy Tail and making them interact with each other.
"Wanna talk about it?" Aquarius asks.
"Not particularly." Lucy shakes her head.
"Okay. We'll talk when you're ready." Aquarius says, making Lucy beam at her.
"Thanks for understanding." Lucy says as she tackles the mermaid, making the figurines burst into little drops of water.
"Alright, you may have more magic now, but you still need to rest." Aquarius says, making Lucy nod.
"I am worn out from training today." She admits before waving to the bluenette and skipping inside and up to her room, changing and promptly falling asleep.
Sorry it took so long, but I spent a whole weekend working on this. I'm going to try working on Wolf Slayer Left Behind next. Then The Lost Star Shines the Brightest. And finally Dragon Slayer Troubles. I hope you all enjoy!
Missa-chan :3
