"Like hell ya damn rat!" Kyo stomped off toward the wooded area to the left, leaving Yuki to roll his eyes.
"I don't suppose you have enough of the script memorized to practice, do you?" Kyo scowled and whirled to face Yuki.
"Shut up damn it! I'm working on it!" Yuki snorted, the two easily falling back into the same bickering routine.
"I suppose you can't help being slow, you are the cat after all. I have to wonder if you were meant to be the ox though."
Kyo was steaming by now. "Who the hell do you think you are, saying stuff like that?!" Kyo took a swing at Yuki who easily stepped out of the way. "Why do you always have to be right?!" Another punch, another dodge. They were slowly making their way further into the woods this way, a missed hit, an off kick. "Fight back damn it!" Yuki caught Kyo's foot the next time the cat tried to kick him, twisting so that Kyo faced away from him before pushing him away, forcing he cat to land on the ground. "Oi!" Yuki was on top of him two seconds later, holding his arms down and looking around. "The hell?! Get off damn it! I-"
"Be quiet." Kyo bristled, struggling to get the rat off of him.
"Like hell! I said ge-" Yuki suddenly moved his face close to Kyo's, making the cat still as his heart started beating faster for reasons other than adrenaline.
"Shut up, or I will shut you up. Somebody's coming." Kyo blushed to the tips of his ears but did as he was told, finally hearing what Yuki had.
"I know they ran this way, do you see them Gure?"
"Not here Aya, maybe they ran farther?"
"Maybe, honestly, to think they wouldn't want to wear something of my own design is simply preposterous, don't you think?"
"Of course, we'll find them sooner or later though." Yuki let out a quiet sigh and Kyo groaned in his head. There would be no escape it would seem… The area around them suddenly got darker and they both looked up to see clouds obstructing the sun. Kyo let out an aggravated sigh.
"Of course it's going to rain." Yuki shook his head, sitting back on his knees so Kyo could rest on his elbows.
"I suppose we should just head back then." Kyo looked less than happy but had nothing to say. If he was right and it did rain he at least wanted to be indoors. Yuki stood and offered a hand to Kyo, who looked at it suspiciously for a moment before taking it.
"You could always hide in my room." Kyo glared at Yuki and the rat smirked, turning and beginning the walk home. "I'm just offering you an option."

"Kyo-kun, come back! I LOVE YOU!"
"Get away from me you delusional woman!" Another crash rang through the house. Yuki sighed and continued reading the playbook, wondering how much longer this would go on. "Get off me! Just leave already!" Another loud bang sounded through the house, followed by silence. Yuki got up after a few heartbeats and went to open his door, surprised to see Kyo in the hallway looking around.
"You pick the worst hiding places." Kyo turned to face him, scowling. Yuki was surprised when he said nothing though, instead going to the window at the far end of the hallway, opening it. Yuki rolled his eyes. "It's raining out baka." Kyo frowned and pointed at the stairs, causing his cousin to roll his eyes once more. Before Kyo could protest Yuki had walked forward and grabbed his arm, pulling him into his room and shutting the door.
"What was that for? I had everything under control!" Kyo hissed out quietly. Yuki gave him a dull look as he sat back down on the bed.
"I'm sure that's why Kagura's looking for you as we speak." As if on cue they all heard a crash followed by, "Kyo-kuuuuun! Where are yoooouuuuu?" Kyo paled and pressed against the wall farthest from the door. Then footsteps sounded on the steps and Kyo slunk down into the corner, attempting to make himself as small as he could. Yuki sighed and decided to take pity on his cousin for the time being, slowly getting up from his spot on the bed. If possible Kyo looked even more frightened as he watched him walk towards the door. Right before Yuki opened his door and looked over to Kyo, who looked as if he was being sentenced to death. Which with the girl currently looking for him may not be as far-fetched as it may sound.
"I said you could stay here, didn't I?" Kyo slowly nodded. "I meant it, now keep quiet." With that he opened the door just as Kagura exited Kyo's room.
"Ah! Yuki-kun! Have you seen Kyo-kun?" Yuki shook his head, leaning against the doorjamb, only keeping his door wide enough for him to stand there.
"The last I saw of him he was opening that window like the idiot he is. No idea where he went after that." Kagura began to look worried as she dashed from the house screaming about finding Kyo. Yuki shook his head and went back in his room, shutting the door once again. He looked over to see Kyo slumped over in relief. "You may want to stay in here. She may come back." Kyo slowly stood, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away.
"Yeah…thanks…" Another rapid pair of footsteps on the stairs made them both freeze. Just then Ayame burst in, making them relax marginally, but only marginally.
"Yuki-kun! There you are! And Kyonkinchi! How wonderful that you're both together! I-"
"Get lost damn it!" Ayame looked taken aback, placing a hand to his chest.
"Now Kyo-kun, that isn't very nice. And here I am trying to help in a dire situation and-"
"Kagura left." Ayame sent his brother a peeved glance, tired of being interrupted.
"May I finish what I have to say?" Yuki sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"What do you want Ayame?" Said snake beamed.
"Thank you! Now I just need our dear little Kyo-kun here to try on a few things and then I can leave you two be for the evening."
"No way! It's not happening! You don't even have any of that crap with you and it's raining outside!" The look in Ayame's eyes was one of pure evil and it made both of the other room's occupants sweatdrop.
"Now, that's what you think. Gure, could you bring them in here please?" Shigure walked in a few moments later carrying several long bags, dumping them on the bed. "Thank you!" Kyo was back in his corner again, warily looking at the bags as if they contained some dangerous creature. Yuki sighed.
"Does it have to be tonight? We're all tired." Ayame shook his head.
"No excuses now. Doesn't your dress rehearsal start within the next two weeks? You need to get used to walking around in a longer dress Kyo-kun, and better to do it here than in front of all your classmates." Kyo scowled at Ayame, who had begun taking something out of the bag. "Well what are you doing just standing there? Take off your clothes so you can get changed." Kyo blushed and scowled, glaring at Ayame.
"I'm not wearing a damn dress any sooner than I have to!" Ayame smiled as he took out the dress he's had at the shop.
"No need to be so shy around your boyfriend Kyo, isn't that right Yuki?"
Said rat just sighed and shook his head while Kyo shouted, "He's not my boyfriend!" Ayame chuckled.
"But of course he is! You've already gone on two separate dates. How could you forget so quickly?" Kyo started blushing up to his ears again and Ayame arched a brow, still holding the dress. "Was there something I missed among all this? You haven't been doing anything to my dear baby brother, have you Kyo-kun?"
"I haven't done anything damn it! He's the-" Kyo gnashed his teeth together two seconds too late.
"Oi, just get changed to get it over with that much faster. It won't kill you and it's not even like you have to leave the house." Kyo glared at Yuki while Aya chuckled to himself.
"Yes yes! Come now, you don't want this to last all night."

Kyo woke up later than he usually did the next day, groggy from having been kept up so late. Kagura had indeed come back, forcing Kyo to stay in Yuki's room. He blushed when he remembered what the rat's brother had shoved him into last night. Kyo was just glad Yuki had opted to read the script instead of encouraging Ayame. But that probably meant that that damn rat was ahead of him now… Kyo sighed and finally sat up, slowly stretching. He'd nodded off last night and had wound up sleeping in Yuki's room. Said rat chose that moment to walk in, walking straight over to his window and looking out. Kyo looked out of the window as well from his spot on the bed.
"Oi, what's so interesting out there?" Yuki responded without turning away from the glass./p
"Checking for snow. I'm never up before you." Kyo scowled, moving to sit at the edge of the bed.
"Shut up ya damn rat! I was tired, alright? If it's that big of a deal why the hell didn't you just wake me up then?" Yuki finally looked over and smirked, making Kyo stand up and glare at his cousin as he walked over. Yuki quickly leaned in and gave Kyo a quick kiss to the forehead before pulling back.
"It's alright I suppose, you're almost cute when you sleep." Kyo's face went up in flames as he tried to back up, only to be reminded that he's been standing in front of the bed; the result being him falling back, hitting his head on the wall behind him.
"Shit!" Kyo sat up and began rubbing the back of his head, Yuki sighing and shaking his head.
"Not up for a full five minutes and you're trying to tear the house down." Kyo scowled up at Yuki.
"It was your damn fault anyway! What's up with you doing weird shit like that when people just wake up?!" Yuki suddenly leaned forward, making Kyo fall back onto the bed, his head avoiding the wall this time. Yuki braced his arms on either side of Kyo's head, leaning in slightly.
"You never complained before." Kyo scowled, pushing Yuki away.
"Damn confusing rat! What the hell's up with you?!" Yuki backed away a step, looking at Kyo curiously and the cat stood once more, fists clenched at his sides. "You…one minute you're acting all nice and the next it's like you fucking hate me!" Yuki sighed, aggravating Kyo even more.
"It wasn't my intention to confuse-"
"Then what the hell were you trying to do?! Maybe I am as simple as everyone seems to think, because I can't fucking figure that out!" Yuki was surprised at Kyo's outburst. The furious boy went to storm past him when Yuki grabbed his arm, stopping him.
"Kyo-"
"Let go of me damn it!" He wrenched his arm from Yuki's grasp and ran out of the room, Yuki following. It was still pouring outside, but Kyo ran outside anyway after slipping his shoes on, ahead of Yuki after he'd tripped coming down the steps.
"Baka neko! It's raining! Get back in the house!" Kyo did the exact opposite, instead running into the downpour, the rat close behind.
"Get lost damn it!" They continued running into the wooded area surrounding the house, Kyo running blindly in the semi-dark despite it being early afternoon. "Gah!" Yuki finally caught up to Kyo just as the cat tripped and fell into a giant puddle.
"Kyo! Are you alright?" He tried to help Kyo up only to have the cat swat at his arms.
"What the hell are you doing?! Damn it, I said scram ya damn rat! Why can't you just-" Kyo was cut short when Yuki finally managed to get a firm grip on Kyo's arm, pulling him up against him. Before Kyo could protest or try to get away again Yuki brought their heads together, kissing Kyo, taking advantage of the fact that Kyo had had his mouth open to yell at him to slip his tongue in, holding the cat close. Yuki's hand's went behind Kyo, one around his waist to hold him still and the other at the back of his head for the same reason. Yuki pulled back from the kiss after a few heartbeats, leaning his forehead against Kyo's, both boys breathing heavy. One of Kyo's arms was trapped between them, the other wrapped around Yuki, clinging to his shoulder.
"There." It took a few moments but Kyo finally met Yuki's gaze, a myriad of emotions flickering through his crimson eyes. "I chose."
