Chapter 10
-Noah's Ark-
(Allen's POV)
I wake up and notice that I am in the sphere prison, courtesy of the twins. David and Jasdero watch me sadistically as I am getting up.
"Hey apprentice," David starts.
"Are you ready to have some fun? Hee, hee, hee~!" Jasdero adds.
They point their guns at me and I sigh.
"Let's get this over with." I say in an indifferent tone. I start running in the sphere as the twins keep shooting at me. I am aware of their aim, so I dodge most of their shots as possible. The twins start picking up their game and it becomes harder to avoid all of their bullets. The twins look at me with a bored expression and they stop shooting. I give them a puzzled expression and ask, "What's going on? Why did you stop shooting at me?"
They each place one hand on their chin, looking at me mysteriously.
"We are thinking about how we are going to make this more entertaining." David says.
"We are already bored of doing the same routine over and over again." Jasdero adds. "I would admit, it was more entertaining, if we had that young bookman friend of yours in here~ hee, hee!"
"But he is overcoming his illness, so he had to be locked up."
A smirk comes across David's face and says, "But Fiddler is still with him."
"And he will harm your friend, if you don't cooperate. hee, hee!" Jasdero adds.
They each hold a red bullet, which is their fiery bomb shot, and they insert them into their guns.
"You think you are off the hook, Cross's apprentice?" David asks.
"The real fun is about to begin~ Hee, hee, hee, hee!" Jasdero includes.
"SO START RUNNING, LITTLE APPRENTICE!" they both exclaim in unison, aiming their guns at me. They shoot their red bomb at me as I start to panic and I run as fast as I can in the sphere. I got hit many times, and the shots were burning me. I wonder how those bullets can go through this bubble. Maybe they designed the sphere to enable their bombs to go through it, no matter what pellet they use. I panic even more as the twins start shooting at me rapidly. Their sadistic smiles grow wider, enjoying my suffering, and they keep bombarding me with their red bombs. Their shots are starting to become impossible to dodge and I am becoming exhausted. Soon enough, the Millennium Earl comes to my rescue, along with Wisely, to stop this whole torture fest. I drop down on my knees, suffering from my burns, courtesy of Jasdevi.
"Now boys, I think young Allen Walker had enough exercise in one day." the Earl says, "Now I need him to go through the 14th's memories."
The twins step away from the sphere and allow the Earl to open it. When he does, he lifts me up into his arms and takes me out of the bubble. He carries me out of Jasdevi's room and into the same operating, where I spend most of my life, ever since I was kidnapped. Wisely follows him to this area, because he is needed to trap me into Neah's memories. The Earl lays me on the same cold metal table and straps me up, so I wouldn't escape. He nods at Wisely as the 5th disciple uses his demon eye, to trap me into another memory.
-Neah's Memories - Noah's Ark-
(Neah's POV)
I've been living in the Ark for almost three years. I am now seventeen years old. During the years, I have gotten stronger and more aggressive on my missions. I upgraded from using a short sword to using a heavier, huge, board sword. It does more damage and it's very lethal. The thought of humans still somewhat bothers me, but I care lesser about them when time passes by. I am starting to feel the joy of killing the exorcists, like how everyone else in the Noah family feels. I've been doing that so often ever since I moved in with them. I no longer worry about my old family. I haven't seen them for years and they haven't seen me. Compare to my new family, I don't think I actually belong there. Mother, Mana and Uncle Cyrus treated me like a normal human with love and care, but they don't quiet understand my gene. They only think it's some kind of condition. The Noah family treats me as one of their own. They understand my gene, because they all have it. Since I became apart of this family, I have adapted to their lifestyle.
My relationship with the Noah family seems to be going quite nicely. I have become Adam's favourite, because of my lovely piano playing and for being a brutal murderer to the exorcists. Toraido doesn't talk to me that much, though he would lecture me whenever I am violating a specific rule. He has a long list of rules that I can't even count. Joyd has been very nice to me. I don't think I had ever seen him drop his smile, although, he does have a sadistic side whenever he was killing an exorcist. Dezaiasu trusts me more, ever since I have joined the family. He is very protective to every Noah, including myself. Wisely, the one who tutors me seems nice, but he sometimes looks at me like I'm suspicious. Fiddler would sometimes prank me with his parasites. Whenever he asked me for a favour, I get bugged. Mercym was not much of a talker. I hardly ever chat with him. It is hard to get along with Raasura. He always has that hot headed temper going on and he would usually beat me up whenever I talk to him. Bondoro and Domuvit also like to play tricks on me, like this one time when I was taking a shower, they had replaced my regular soap with a special type of soap, which made my skin pink! The whole family was laughing at me when they saw me, and I blamed it on the twins. I still don't trust Rasutoru. Ever since that kissing incident, I was more aware of his actions. Maitora doesn't talk that much. He was actually the one, who gave me my ability to control the Ark. I don't know how he did it. I guess I wasn't aware of that.
Both members of the Bookman clan seem mysterious. They rarely ever talk to me or the whole family. They are usually quiet, unless they have information to share. During the years, I sometimes wonder who they really are. The family mentions the Bookmen records information about history. I am intrigued to know what information they are possibly carrying.
And of course, my lovely Road, our relationship was stronger than ever. I have grown used to her disturbing dolls, which are not quite disturbing anymore. Apart of it was because I kill exorcists on a daily basis, so I'm used to seeing dead bodies. I would usually bring home the corpses for Road, so she could have more dolls. Another reason why I am used to seeing her dolls was because they look less disturbing compare to what they used to look like. The corpses I usually bring home are bloody and gory, but Road would usually clean them up and stick the wounds back together, making them look somewhat normal. I would usually play the piano for her. We created some pieces together, which are meant for the two of us. I have never shown her the white room I have created; in fact, I haven't revealed that room to anyone. Only Timcanpy and I have been in there. I go there quite often, whenever I needed some alone time or because I feel like it. I was thinking of showing the room to Road, but I think it's best to keep it private for now.
One day, I am alone in my white room, playing my "Musician" song. Timcanpy is showing me my music score, even though I have the song completely memorized. A few minutes later, he starts to twitch, giving me an incoming call from Adam.
"Neah~ come to the dining room for dinner~ I'll explain your mission when you get here~" I can hear his singsong voice, coming from Timcanpy.
"I'll be there soon." I reply.
The call end there and I am ready to come to dinner. I start playing my "Musician" song to create a portal to get back to the Ark. Once it appears, I stop and get up from the piano. I walk towards the portal and went through it, which brings me back to the Ark. Timcanpy follows me when I left the room. I head my way to the dining room, so I can attend dinner. Once I get there, I went to my usual seat in between Road and Adam.
"Why, good evening, Neah~" the Millennium Earl greets me, "I'm glad you can make it on this fine evening~"
I smile, happy to be around with the family, especially Road, as I stare into her lovely golden eyes. The funny thing is when I look at her; she doesn't look like she aged a bit. Despite on how much older she is compare to me; she looks like she is still twelve of thirteen. Compare to everyone else in the family, she is the only one who hasn't grown. Even I was growing and I am nearly a foot taller than her. She beams back at me and kisses me on the cheek. I blush and start flirting with her, saying she looks beautiful on this fine evening. The akuma servants arrive with our dinner and set the food on the table. There is roast alligator, mash potatoes, mixed vegetables and fried rice. I gather some food from each serving and put them on my plate, and so did everyone else. I start eating my dinner, and then I feel something poking on my cheek. I turn to face Road, who is pointing her fork towards me, with a piece of alligator on the end. She is smiling at me, offering me to a small bit of food. I open my mouth wide as she put her fork into my mouth. I bite down on the slimy, scaly, alligator and I begin to chew on it. Road pulls the fork out from my mouth and watches me as I continue to grind on the food. I swallow it after a few chews and smile at my girlfriend. She moves her face close to my ear and whispers, "I would like to try some of your alligator."
I nod at her as I cut a small piece of alligator, which is on my place, and bring my fork towards her face. She bites the piece off my folk and starts to chew. She swallows the alligator and smiles at me. We keep sharing our food, until everything is off our plates. Once everyone is finished their supper, Adam asks for everyone's attention.
"I believe we have found the location to where the heart is." he explains, "It is located somewhere around Edo Japan. Unfortunately, there are going to be a huge number of exorcists heading that way. Your goal is to collect the Heart, before they do. Bring it back to me once you have it."
We all nod our heads, accepting the mission. Adam recommends that we should bring an akuma army to assist us finding the innocence or killing exorcists. When he adjourns the meeting the rest of the Noah family gets up from their seats and starts leaving the room. The two bookmen also departs from the room, but they didn't follow the Noah. Before I can go, Adam places a hand on my shoulder, saying, "Do me proud, Fourteenth."
I nod my head and then I head my way to meet with Road. I found her standing outside the dining room, waiting for me.
"So, are you ready to go?" she asks.
"Road, we just came from the meeting. I don't think anyone is ready to go yet." I reply.
"I know!" she whines, "but I am so excited!"
I understand that she is wound up. She enjoys killing exorcists and turning them into her dolls, and this mission is all about looking for the heart. One of our biggest goals! Even I'm excited to start this mission.
"Well, I will let you get ready." She says, "I am going to help set up an akuma army."
I nod my head and then I head my way to my room. I collect my huge board sword, and then I practice with my dark matter for a bit. I get out of my room and see Road is standing be my door.
"Did you already prepare an akuma army?" I ask her.
She nods her head and says, "Come on. Everyone is waiting for you in the Living Room."
She grabs my arm and leads me to a living room where everyone from the Noah family, except Adam, is in, along with a huge army of akuma. I am amaze to see rhem all in one small room. They look like they are ready to start the mission.
"You are as slow as usual, Shrimp!" Raasura yells at me.
I glare back at him, feeling a slight rage building up within me, like how I feel with Leon Andrews. He is always a jerk to me and we both haven't grown to like each other.
"Now, Raasura," Wisely starts, while taping on the Noah of Wrath's shoulder, "That was not very nice to say to our little brother, or our teammate on this mission."
Raasura glares at him and says, "SHUT UP, FIVE EYES!"
He points a finger at me and yells, "THIS KID IS ALWAYS SLOW, EVEN A SNAIL CAN BEAT HIM IN A RACE!"
"I may be slow at getting myself ready," I retort, "But my brain is faster than yours and I'm a faster fighter than you'll ever be!"
"WHY YOU LITTLE-" he try to charge me, but the other Noahs hold him back.
"Now is not the time to be attacking your brother." Toraido lectures, "In fact, it is never the time to be attacking our family members."
"Save you energy for the mission, Raasura!" says Domuvit tauntingly.
"You are going to need it." Bondoro follows with the same tone as Domuvit.
Raasura shifts his glare towards the twins. He wants to beat the crap out of them, but the rest of the Noah family is still holding them back. My eyes narrow at Raasura as I watch him being a moron.
"Are we ready to go?" I ask everyone with a hint of impatience.
Road nods her head as she summons a heart shape door in front of us.
"So, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" she says in excitement, twirling Lero around. She ignores the complaints the umbrella is giving her, so she opens the door and waits for everyone to go through it. The family stops wrestling with Raasura and they leave through Road's door. I am the second last one to depart. I see Road standing by the door, waiting for me. I walk up to her with a smile and she beams back at me.
"Let's do this." I say, as she nods back at me.
I walk through the door, along with Road, and then she closes the door behind up.
A few minutes later, we have arrived at Edo Japan. We all came out of Road's door and when we got here, we see lots of exorcists lurking around. Our first move is to command the army of akuma to attack those bastards. They begin to do what we order them to do, as they rush in to attack the exorcists. While the akuma are busy directing them, Toraido commands everyone to split up to hunt for the heart. We nod our heads as we all depart from the group. During my search, I am attack by exorcists. They didn't stand as a challenge to me, as I kill them one by one with my sword. Impaling them, slashing them or even sever their limbs off as they assault me. I crush their innocence after their death for the joy of it, because I like seeing their anti-akuma weapons turn to dust. I keep searching around town, but I still couldn't find the heart. I manage to find Road, being attack by exorcists. There are three men against her and she looks like she's getting exhausted. There are some dead bodies around her with candle sticks impaling them, noting that Road had killed them. I have the urge to help my girlfriend, because she looks like she needs help, so I charge at the exorcists and impales one of them from behind. The two other exorcists turn their attention towards me and see that I am killing their teammate. I pull my sword out, as the impaled exorcist collapse to the ground.
"NEAH!" Road exclaims happily.
"WHAT?! ANOTHER NOAH?!" one of the exorcists exclaim.
Apparently, these exorcists didn't notice the other Noah. They were about to attack me, but Road uses her candles to pierce them from behind. They both stop, but they didn't fall on the ground, which I hope they would, so I use my board sword to knock them down. I slash them in the chest and they both flop backwards. The candles on their backs push through them as they land, so we see some bloody spikes sticking from their torsos. We watch as their blood flows on the streets. Road is clinging on my right arm, rubbing her head against my shoulder.
"Thank you for helping me with those pesky exorcists, Neah." she says in a cute tone.
I pet her arms, which are hugging my right arm, with my free hand gently. She smiles cheerfully and then she stares right into my eyes.
"Let's go find the heart together!" she cheers, "It will be more fun searching together!"
I couldn't resist her offer, so I accept it. She beams wider and she gives me a massive bear hug.
"Mistress Road~ Lero!" Lero, who is flouting above us, exclaims. "Now is not the time to be flirting with Master Neah~ Lero! Now is the time to search for the heart~ Lero!"
He is right. Even though I don't seem to mind Road's hugs, but our main goal is to find the heart. We can always flirt another time, but we need to focus on the task in hand. Road releases me from her bear hug and she asks me if I'm ready to find the heart. I nod my head and we both start searching together, along with Lero and Timcanpy, who remain by my side. We encounter some exorcists, while we are seeking. We killed them with no problem and then we continued our search. After a whole hour of killing exorcists or trying to find the heart, we begin to grow bored. I am beginning to wonder if we are too late or if Adam gave us the wrong destination. No, that can't be it. There are exorcists wandering about in this city, looking for the same thing we want. Suddenly, Timcanpy stops for a minute. It is facing a direction, which got me wondering.
"What wrong, Tim? What's going on?" I ask it.
It starts flying to a direction it is pointing at.
"Tim, where are you going?" I ask in a worry tone.
We tail my golem as it leads us to a building. Timcanpy flies to the top of it, and then it faces me. It's fluttering up and down, signalling me to come over there. I turn to Lero and ask, "Can you fly me towards Timcanpy? He might be on to something."
Lero whines, but he offers to help me. He positions himself in a horizontal line pose, so I can sit on him. I look at Road, who places herself beside me and says, "I'm not going to stand here and watch you have the fun! I want to be apart of this, too!"
Not only she still looks like a twelve year old, she acts like a twelve year old, too. Sometimes I wonder if she has ever grown, but I still love her. I pet her on the shoulder and say, "I will only be up there for a few minutes. We'll come right back, but right now, I want you to guard this area, in case an exorcist shows up."
She pouts and gets herself off of Lero. She looks back at me and tells me to be safe. I smile at her, wishing her luck and then I hang on to Lero as he starts lifting me from the ground. He flies me to the top of the building, where Timcanpy is, and when we get there, I jump onto the roof and search the area. I didn't find anything in peculiar, so I turn to Timcanpy and wonder why he led us here. Then I feel a vibration coming from below the roof, as something ungrateful is going to happen. I quickly to get back on Lero, and we try to fly off, but while we were floating, a pink blast comes out of the roof and hits us directly. The beam forces me to dismount from Lero. The blast sent him flying, but I am falling heavily towards the roof, which now has a hole in it. I land on my chest on the edge of the gap, and my legs are dangling it. I try to use as much energy to pull myself out of the hole, but the edge I'm on breaks off and I fall a few feet within the building, until I hit the ground. I land hard on my back after that drop, but I didn't black out. Timcanpy flies down to see me, worrying about my condition. I manage to crack a smirk on my face, saying, "I'm okay, Tim."
I still have enough energy to slowly lift my upper body up. Timcanpy flutters up and down for attention and it faces a direction to the right. I turn to look what he's pointing at and sees a pink heart shape crystal floating in a glass orb on a stand.
'Is that the Heart of Innocence?' I thought. I sense the tension between me and it. Its presence feels stronger compare to the other innocence I encounter. It feels like it's trying to push me out of this building, but wouldn't I already be out of here by now? I struggle to get on my feet and start inching slowly to the pink heart crystal. The closer I go, the more pressure I feel. I fight my pain and the tension until I get to the crystal. It's so beautiful, but it must be destroyed. The mission is to bring it back to Adam, but why can't I destroy it now? I am also wondering, why "The Heart" is making it easy for me to take it. I encountered many fragments of innocence that fought back, but why isn't this crystal doing anything? I am about to grab the glass ball, containing the innocence, but I feel I blunt object whacking me in the back of the head, and my world went black.
-Noah's Ark-
(Allen's POV)
The memory is over and as usual, Wisely is exhausted. I feel anxious about the memory, because the Noah family is one step closer to finding the heart. I also wondered what had happened to Neah after he found the heart. He couldn't have died. Master had told me that Neah had died, during his betrayal, trying to kill the Earl himself. Speak of the devil; the Millennium Earl is standing before me, with his wide creepy smile, which I want to wipe off his ugly disturbing face.
"We are only one step closer on finding the heart." he says. "Soon, the Black Order will be no more and all of humanity will be destroyed."
I couldn't help but shoot a glare at him. This madman wants to destroy humanity, and I find that unforgivable. Rage is building up within my body. I want to strike him down, end this war, and everyone would live in peace. If only I wasn't a prisoner, I would've done that right now. If they didn't use Lavi as their human shield, I wouldn't have to worry about him being harmed. But right now, I am in a pickle. They would harm Lavi if I don't cooperate, and there is nothing I could do in this situation. The Earl bids me a goodnight, as he and Wisely leaves the room. Road comes in with a tray of food and takes it towards me. Today she has brought me roast chicken, a green salad and fried rice.
"Hello, Allen~!" she sings, "I hope that memory didn't bother you too much."
I noticed that Road was around on that mission, when the Noah are trying to find the heart. She was with Neah up to the part when he searched the top of the building for the heart. I look up to Road and ask her, "That day, when you and Neah were searching for the heart. What happened to him after he searched that peculiar building? He couldn't have died."
Road shakes her head and her eyes narrow.
"He didn't die, but I was worried about him." she says, "After I've seen the pink blast, coming from the roof, where Neah was investigating, I knew he needed my help. I was about to break into the building, but I was attacked by those pesky exorcists. They stalled me long enough from getting to the building, so I had to kill them. Once they were out of the way, I went inside the building to find Neah, but the place was empty. There was no Neah; no source of where that pink beam came from, and Timcanpy was missing, too. I even checked all of Edo for him, but I couldn't find him. I haven't even encountered any exorcists, after I had investigated the building. I can only find Lero or the rest or the Noah family. Even they couldn't find Neah or the heart."
Her expression darkens as she picks up the plate, with the roast chicken, and a knife.
"Those exorcists must have taken him." she says venomously, "If only he'd let me come with him to investigate the roof, I could've prevented that from happening!"
She starts stabbing the chicken with her knife and starts cutting it into little pieces. She then replaces the knife with a folk, taking a little piece of chicken with it, and then she points it towards me with a smile.
"I hope you will enjoy this, Allen~" she says as she feeds me the slice. The chicken is delicious, but I usually find most of their food tasty, but not as tasty as Jerry's. I miss having him cook for me and I would like to have one of his meals right now. After I finish eating the chicken, Road then feeds me the rice and the green salad, which are both equally good. Once all the food is gone, Road kisses me on the cheek and bids me goodnight. She takes the food cart and walks out of the room with it. I fall asleep after she left and in my dream, I hear a voice saying, "Take care of Mana for me."
Triforce: Hey guys, thanks for- (To Jasdevi) What are you two morons doing?
Jasdevi: EVERYBODY DO THE FLOP! *they both fall face first*
Triforce: *grabs them by their collar* Don't tell me you both saw that ridiculous cartoon on YouTube.
David: You showed it to us.
Triforce: Well, I don't want you guys doing the flop, because David, you will break your face, and Jasdero, you will break your face more.
David: *pouts* We saw you do the flop last week, hypocrite.
Jasdero: Yeah! Stop being a hypocrite!
Triforce: *drops them* For your information, I didn't do the flop on purpose. My shoes were loose, while I was running, which caused me to trip.
David: How about you tighten your shoes next time.
Jasdero: And maybe you wouldn't trip~ Hee, hee, hee, hee!
Triforce: *tick marks* How about you both do the flop off the edge of a cliff and we'll see who's laughing!
David: You want us to...
Jasdero: Do the flop off the edge of a cliff?
Jasdevi: LET'S DO IT! *they both run out of my house*
Triforce: NO! I WAS KIDDING! *groans* (To Tyki, who is reading a book) Tyki, can you please go fetch your troublesome brothers, before they damage themselves?
Tyki: *looks up from book* You're asking me to go rescue my troublemaking brothers from a cliff, even though it's your fault, because you told them to do that?
Triforce: I didn't think they were that stupid to fall for that! Plus, they are kind of your responsibility you might get in trouble with the Earl if something bad happens to them.
Tyki: *sighs* Why do I hang out with you?
Triforce: That's a good question. Now hurry up and save the twins! They are one of my favourite Noahs, along with you, Road, and not to mention, Neah!
Tyki: *sighs* *puts his book down* Fine. I would rather save two troublemakers, compare to dealing with the Earl. *leaves my house*
Lavi: (To Triforce) So, is Neah dead?
Triforce: Why would I kill him off here? You know how Neah dies.
Lavi: Oh... right...
Triforce: (To Readers) I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. The poll for "What Laven story should I make?" is still open. The results are the same as they were the last time I announced them. You can find the poll on my profile page, so please vote. If you have any questions or ideas. (I could use some ideas on Allen's POV, like what would the Noahs do to Allen before sending him off in Neah's memory, or what food would Road give him for supper next, or what would Lavi write to him (optional), or what Neah related dream would Allen dream next?)
Lavi: Please Review!
Triforce: Btw, I DON'T own DGM. If I did, I probably will done goof the whole story. I'll let Katsura Hoshino deal with the main story, while I'll continue with my fan stories, like this one. I also don't own the cartoon "EVERYBODY DO THE FLOP" by TomSka. Keep your reviews positive or constructive. I don't want any hate. Also leave a fav and follow. See ya! :D
