A/N: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! Hope it's a good one for everyone, Lord knows we need a good year after the disaster that was 2013. Apparently I am not the only person that thought 2013 was horrible/weird so I really hope we all get a fantastic year this year! I want to personally thank tumblr user, fishmoose, for helping me out with some information about Star Wars in Chapter 9. I kept forgetting to give credit so now that I remembered here you are! Thank you so much for your help! Thank you to my lovely reviewers: OnnaMusha, The pH alchemist, Ghost Rider of the Aragon, and LokiDisney! OnnaMusha: I hope that mental image never leaves your head now lol XD. The ph alchemist: Thank you! And how was your trip? Are you still there? Ghost Rider of the Aragon: Thank you! He'll be coming home soon so he's getting better! I'll gladly take your idea into consideration, and if you like them being more and more childish, you'll love this chapter hehe. LokiDisney: In the coming chapters you'll most definitely see them on the Tower of Terror! Now onto my pop quiz because I really want to give away this picture of cookies. The following line that Loki says in this chapter, "They're wee little puppet men!", is similar to what line in what TV show? If you give me the right TV show you get the picture of cookies, and if you give me the name of the character who said it in the show, you get a really cute picture of Tom Hiddleston. So I do not own anything in this chapter, the usual stuff you know, and also I do not own that wee little puppet men joke. I am so happy to say that this chapter is all about The Muppets! Jim Henson was such an amazing man for creating them and may he rest in peace. Now go on and enjoy the new chapter!
It was early afternoon and the team decided to head on over to the Streets of America for a show before their Toy Story Midway Mania! fastpasses were okay to use. They decided to stop over at the Streets of America, first to take a couple of pictures in front of the various model cities and city backdrops they had. Then they headed over to Muppet Vision 3D.
"Awww I love the Muppets, especially Miss Piggy!" Natasha exclaimed.
They came upon the theatre which held the show and outside of the theater was a fountain with a statue of Miss Piggy at the center. Natasha insisted on having her picture taken in front of the fountain before they went in. Bruce snapped a picture and on they were into the theater. Once inside the theater, they grabbed their 3-D glasses. The Avengers and Loki just trekked on through the queue, but Hawkeye noticed something. To the right when they came in was the box office with a sign that read, "Back in 5 minutes key is under the mat." Hawkeye noticed he was standing on a mat, got off it, lifted it up, and voila! There was the key, glued to the ground of course. A cast member noticed this and gave him a Mickey Mouse sticker. He ran to catch up with his friends.
"We were just coming back to look for you! Where did you go?" Natasha asked Clint.
"Oh just noticed something you guys didn't and got rewarded with a Mickey Mouse sticker because of it!" Clint said proudly.
Natasha rolled her eyes. Loki eyed Hawkeye with jealousy, and the sticker with want. He wanted the sticker so badly, that he didn't even care if that Mickey Mouse was on it!
"I should be the one rewarded with a Mickey Mouse sticker! I should've been the one to notice whatever it is you noticed and got a reward for it. I am deserving of an award, and you are not," Loki said.
He then snatched the sticker from Hawkeye and ran out of the theater with it.
"Jesus, let's go after him and hope that he's not trying to take over Disney World again!" Stark exclaimed.
Hawkeye was already way ahead of the rest of them though.
"Give me back my sticker!" Hawkeye could be heard yelling.
The Avengers came out of the theater to see Hawkeye chasing Loki around the Miss Piggy fountain. People were giving them odd looks.
"Wow I guess Disney World really does bring out the kid in us," Bruce said.
Natasha shot him a glare and stood unapprovingly in front of the fountain of the sight before her. Hawkeye noticed this and stopped in his tracks.
"Haha you have given up! Victory is mine!" Loki exclaimed.
Natasha walked right up to Loki, took the sticker, ripped it apart, and threw it in the fountain.
"In the theater NOW!" Natasha yelled.
Hawkeye listened to her and walked towards the other Avengers. Loki, however, grew very upset at her ripping up his sticker and throwing it into the fountain.
"You-" Loki started but was cut off.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, mewling quim. Get your butt into that theater now, Loki," Natasha ordered.
"I would listen to her, she can have a sharp sting, y'know," Stark said.
"Brother, come inside and we'll get you a whole package of stickers later," Thor said and Loki agreed to come in.
So back into the theater they went. They walked through the queue, filled with funny Muppet posters, and came upon a large room. The room was filled with many people, Muppets props, and TVs. The doors opened, and they all walked into the auditorium. They took their seats close to the front and put on their 3-D glasses. Then the curtains opened up and on a balcony seat to their right, out popped two puppets: Staffer and Waldorf.
"They're wee little puppet men! Ha!" Loki said, and then began laughing.
"Well somebody's going to like this show," Stark said.
"Hey check out the guy in the Goofy mask!" Staffer exclaimed.
"That's not a mask!" Waldorf said.
"Oooops! Sorry, lady," Staffer said.
Everyone laughed. Thor and Cap were wondering which lady they were talking about, but laughed anyway. The show then began with a door that read "Kermit the Frog presents Muppet Vision 3-D." The word 3-D then sprung out.
"Whoa!" Cap exclaimed.
"What in Odin's name was that?!" Thor shouted.
"Ehehehe puppets," Loki said.
The door opened and Gonzo appeared, then Kermit came and talked to him. Loki shrieked.
"Animal puppets? Why?!" Loki exclaimed, nearly crying.
Thor put his arm around his brother, and comforted him. Gonzo then went back into the room, and Kermit started walking into another room. He said that the Swedish Chef was operating the film projector at the back of the auditorium. Kermit then says that Miss Piggy will be singing a little song.
"Little?" Miss Piggy said, swinging open a door in the back.
"Little? Did I say little? Uuuh, I meant to say it's a huge show-stopping major song from Miss Piggy?" Kermit said, a bit nervous.
"That's more like it!" Miss Piggy exclaimed, going back into her room.
"Good. And we've also got a grand musical finale from Sam Eagle! Sam, what's it about?" Kermit said, turning around, and Sam Eagle sprung out from a room.
"It's called a salute to all nations, but mostly America," Sam Eagle said.
"Haha Sam Eagle is your spirit animal," Stark said to Cap.
"Spirit animal?" Cap questioned, utterly confused.
"We'll explain later," Bruce said, giving a pat on Cap's back.
Kermit then mentioned that it would be a swell demonstration and at no time would they be stooping to any cheap 3-D tricks. But then Kermit was interrupted by Fozzie, who displayed a few of these 3-D tricks, including a snake nut can and a squirting flower. The audience could feel air coming at them and then water was actually squirted at them!
"This is so fascinating," Cap said.
"Haha again, again! 'Tis like the bug show in Animal Kingdom. We're pollinators! We're pollinators!" Thor exclaimed.
"Thor, be quiet," Stark said, and Thor stopped singing.
Loki was still a bit traumatized over the fact that the puppets were animals. Next up, Kermit walked into a laboratory where Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker were experimenting. They were displaying to the audience what their experiment was, but at first it seemed that Beaker kept getting hurt and that they were getting nowhere. Losing control of the machine, out sprung Waldo C. Graphic, a living 3-D effect. It called itself the spirit of 3-D. Waldo then began to bounce on people's heads.
"Get off spirit!" Thor shouted.
Bunsen then instructed Beaker to suck up Waldo with a vacuum, however he ended up sucking up the whole show! But Waldo then flew away, and the show came back on. Kermit introduces Miss Piggy's number. Not of course without being interrupted by Fozzie, who has made some sort of control device to control a banana cream pie. It backfires on him though and splats him in his face. The audience laughed. Then Miss Piggy's song began. The scene shows Miss Piggy sat by a lake in a beautiful garden. She begins her song, "Dream a Little Dream of Me."
"She's so adorable," Natasha said.
Clint smirked at this. As much as Miss Piggy sang, she kept getting interrupted by Bean Bunny. He blew bubbles onto the audience. The kids in the audience, along with Thor and Loki, reached out to grab them. Miss Piggy then started yelling at Bean Bunny, to which Bean Bunny responded by having Miss Piggy dragged onto the lake by a water ski rope. Sam Eagle then appeared and told Bean Bunny to go away. Bean Bunny was crushed at this, and then the screen turned black. Waldo turned up again. Bean invited Waldo to run away with him and off they went, but not before Gonzo stopped them, asking Bean where he was going.
"I'm running away," Bean said.
"Okay! Can you get me a sandwich?" Gonzo asked, not really realizing what Bean had just said.
Quickly though he came to his senses and tried to stop him, but Bean and Waldo were already gone. Gonzo ran off to find Kermit and tell him what happened. Sweetums popped onto the screen and walked across with a paddle-ball, that popped out everytime he hit it. Gonzo then found Kermit and Fozzie, and told them of the news. Sweetums decided to help look for Bean. They all start walking around yelling out Bean's name in hopes of finding him.
"I will help! Bean! Oh Bean! Where art thou, Bean?" Thor shouted out, and a couple of children laughed at him.
Sweetums then came out from a side door and started looking for Bean in front of the stage! A couple of the Avengers took off their 3-D glasses and noticed he was standing before them.
"Please don't really be there, please don't really be there," Loki said, shutting his eyes.
Thor held him tighter at this. Then childrens' voices shouted out that they found Bean, he was sitting on a balcony to the left of the audience. Bean then explained how he ran away because he had no place in the show. Bean saod he will only stay on for the show if they give him something to do, and they agree that he will light the fireworks for Sam Eagle's production number.
The production number, "A Salute to All Nations(But Mostly America)," was absolutely stunning to look at. Muppets fashioned after the it's a small world attraction's audio-animatronics were dressed in stars and stripes playing marching music. Cap really loved this, he loved it so much he started sobbing a bit.
"Cap, are you okay?" Natasha asked him.
"Yeah, it's just all so...beautiful," Cap said, sobbing even more.
Natasha just rubbed him on the back until he stopped crying. The beautiful sight didn't last, however, when Waldo bumped into a musician, getting a tuba stuck on his head. Waldo started frantically running around for someone to help the musician. But he was ruining the production number even more by bumping into and knocking over other performers. Bean then shoots off the fireworks, and Waldo forms himself into a rocket firework. Miss Piggy is dressed as the Statue of Liberty, and Waldo flies around her, causing her dress to fall down. Waldo ended up messing the entire production number and causes the screen to mess up as well. The Swedish Chef then begins to shoot at Waldo from the back of the theater. He then pulled out a giant cannon and shot at Waldo, causing the screen to erupt into a big explosion. Waldo disappeared and the Muppets reappeared with Kermit on a fire truck ladder, right in your face. Waldorf and Staffer held up white flags saying they surrender. Kermit thanked everyone for the show and then the screen went black. Then Waldo reappeared and turns into Mickey Mouse!
"No not that dumb mouse again!" Loki exclaimed.
But then Waldo is sucked up by a vacuum, and the show is over. The Avengers and Loki walk out of the theater and put their 3-D glasses in bins. Loki is still buried in Thor's neck, still traumatized from the show.
"I was so excited about the puppets! And then they had to be animals!" Loki complained.
They all decided to check out the Muppets store which was across from the attraction. They came across a giant Kermit statue and Loki completely freaked.
"I don't wanna go in there! I don't wanna!" Loki cried.
"Make him go in there, this is what happens when you try to take over our world, mister!" Stark exclaimed.
"Don't be so hard on him," Bruce said.
"Don't be so hard on him? What? Bruce he tried to destroy New York!" Stark exclaimed.
"Yeah but you know I kind of did that too...and well what I'm saying is he already has had enough torture so far. Him and Thor can wait outside while we check out the store," Bruce said.
"Okay fine, but you guys are standing right next to Kermit," Stark said.
Loki and Thor stood by Kermit with Loki still buried into Thor's neck. The store was elaborately themed like a hotel with more Muppet stuff than one could handle. Cap was disappointed that he couldn't find something Sam Eagle related, but he didn't mind that much. They all walked back out of the store, but Clint pulled Natasha aside.
"I got you something," Clint said, pulling that 'something' out of his shopping bag.
"Oh Clint, you didn't have to...oh!" Natasha exclaimed noticing it was a little Miss Piggy plush.
"Awww Clint, this is sweet. I always wanted a Miss Piggy doll when I was little. I guess dreams do come true here," Natasha said with a smile.
Clint smiled back, happy that he made one of Natasha's dreams come true.
