The Doctor leapt back as the Eye sprung open. A faint white light emanates up from beneath the dais.
"Is that it?" Clint asked. The Doctor nodded.
"As I said, not much energy left. What's left should just leech out into the Time Vortex." He said.
The TARDIS engines ceased their thrumming. The Doctor peered around the room, holding a finger to his lips.
"Wha..." Clint began, before the Doctor waved his arm, signalling him to be silent.
"Doctor?" Clint whispered.
A loud roar ripped through the room.
"Ok. Now we're in trouble." The Doctor muttered, pulling out his sonic screwdriver.
"Doctor?" Clint glanced at the Doctor. The Doctor nodded, raising the screwdriver.
"Do it." Clint said, nodding.
Something hit the Doctor's hand, knocking the screwdriver from the Doctor's grip. It clattered to the floor a few feet away. Omega materialised in front of the Doctor, gripping his coat and throwing him back onto the dais.
"Doctor!" Clint yelled, reaching for his gun. Like a flash, Omega was upon him. The gun clattered onto the dais, and fell over the edge into the Eye of Harmony.
Omega threw Clint backwards, slamming him into a wall. Clint fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Omega!" The Doctor yelled, picking himself up and running for the screwdriver. Omega threw his hand out, pushing the Doctor to the floor. He walked to the screwdriver and placed his boot over it. He pushed down, shattering the screwdriver.
"If I am to die here Doctor, so shall you and your friends. The will be no escape." Omega roared.
Omega leapt onto the Doctor as Omega's TARDIS began to shake. Chunks of stone rained down around them as the two men struggled.
A loud deep bell tolled throughout Omega's TARDIS. The Doctor and Omega fell onto the dais, near to the Eye. Omega rolled, pulling the Doctor over the hole in the dais. White energy rushed around them.
"No more, Doctor!" Omega yelled, pushing the Doctor into the hole.
"Omega!" The Doctor pleaded.
"Stop this! If you continue, the Time Vortex could rupture. Think about it! I'm a complex space-time event, you push me in, you destroy everything that ever was, is, or will be! That includes you! Do you really want to do that, to yourself?" The Doctor shouted above the crashing.
Omega hesitated. The Doctor took his moment, pushing Omega off himself, and rolling to the side.
Omega lost his balance, tumbling into the Eye. The Doctor jumped to the edge, searching frantically for Omega. The old Gallifreyan clung to the edge of the Eye, swinging wildly as the energy rushed past.
"Omega! Take my hand! I can take you away from here!" The Doctor cried. Omega grabbed the Doctor's sleeve. The Doctor groaned, straining to Omega out of the Eye.
A large explosion rocked the room. The Doctor slipped, falling to the dais. Omega let go of the Doctor's sleeve, tumbling into the Eye below.
Clint groaned as the room rocked. He sat up, seeing the Doctor kneeling over the Eye.
"Doctor!" He yelled, as more masonry fell.
"He's gone." The Doctor whispered, staring down into the Eye.
"Doctor! We have to go!" Clint roared, pulling the Doctor away from the hole. As if breaking a spell, the Doctor came to life, jumping up and looking for the door.
"Quickly! We need to get back to the TARDIS!" He shouted. The two men ran for the door.
Just before they reached the door, the room shook wildly. A buttress collapsed, the debris almost hitting them. It fell against the doors, blocking the exit.
"I'm sorry." The Doctor said, looking at Clint.
AN: Howzat for a cliffhanger! If the last chapter is not up within the next twenty four hours, then I've been sucked into the Time Vortex and deposited on Androzani Minor! In all seriousness, the last chapter will be up very soon, and I'll have finished.
