Hank Hill was standing out in the alley enjoying a beer on a cloudy afternoon after arriving home from work. He was soon joined by his friends Dale and Boomhauer, however one of his friends didn't show up.
"Either you guys hear from Bill today?" Hank asked
"I saw him this morning getting the paper," Boomhauer answered, "I said hello but he started with his dang ol' crying then walked back inside."
"He's probably upset because they discontinued his favorite snack cake." Dale joked
Hank fought the urge to tell Dale to shut the hell up but instead he finished his beer then headed on over to Bill's house. He knocked gently on the front door, after a minute of Bill not responding Hank knocked a little louder. Being impatient Hank opened up the door and saw Bill on the couch asleep surrounded by used tissues, a bottle of wine sitting on his coffee table, and music filled the room. Hank walked over and shut off the music which caused Bill to wake up.
"Whose there?" a groggy Bill asked
He opened his eyes to see Hank standing next to the stereo.
"Oh, hello, Hank, what are you doing here?"
"The guys and I were out in the alley and we were getting worried for none of has really seen you today, so I came over to check up on you." Hank explained
"You didn't need to do that, I'm fine."
Bill placed the picture on the coffee table and Hank saw the picture was of Bill and Cameila, Bill's wife who disappeared nearly a year ago.
"This is about Cameila, isn't it?" Hank asked
"She's been gone for a long time, she just vanished, no letter or a ransom call," Bill sobbed, "who would take my beloved Cameila, who, Hank?"
"I don't know, the last person to see her was Bobby but he didn't see anything."
Bill grabbed the wine bottle and opened it then raised the bottle to his mouth.
"Bill what are you doing?" Hank shouted as he snatched the bottle away from Bill
"It's my one year anniversary, Cameila and I were suppose to drink it," Bill explained , "since she's not here I'll drink for the both of us."
Hank knew how Bill got after one of his relationships ended and even though he is still legally married to Cameila and her disappearance wasn't a sign of a break up Hank had a feeling that drinking the wine would lead to trouble.
"Bill, would you like to come over for dinner tonight, we're having pork chops." Hank offered
Bill sat there for a minute before accepting Hank's invitation. The dinner was a success and by the end of it Bill had returned to what was normal for well..Bill. Hank and Bill stayed in the kitchen talking while Bobby retreated into the living to watch TV, he flipped on the local to see if they had anything on the election. Bobby really wanted Ted Wasonasong to win the election which surprised him considering how big an ass Chane was to him all the time but the real reason he wanted Ted to win was for the fact ever since Vergil Min stopped Seth Ryker's his numbers have gone up. Five minutes passed before the news brought up new information about the election, they then showed a man standing at a newly finished parking ramp in front of a large crowd. The man was the same height at Dale Gribble, he had short light brown hair and goatee, he wore an outfit like that of a college professor.
"Good evening, everyone," the man greeted,"my name is Trent Gordon, I am the professor of Religious Studies at Arlen Community College, I stand before you today to tell you that everything Vergil Min has told you is a lie."
This got Bobby's attention as he sat on the edge of the couch.
"Ever since he announced his candidacy, Min has done nothing but blame our city's problems on the so-called supernatural," Trent spoke, "his campaigns have been one ridiculous promise after another to cleanse our city of monsters.
From his left someone handed him an antique book.
"Well I'm going to put an end to his silly campaign once and for all."
He motion someone to wheel in a small casket and inside the casket was the skeletal remains of a small dog.
"If everything Vergil Min said is true then I'll be able to resurrect this dog with new life with help from this book."
He opened the book and flipped through it until he found the text he desired.
Vocans ea quae olim revocare perditum est spiritus, inter nos ire," he started to chant in Latin,"Ex os ad carnem et sanguinem ex pulvere, testor, ad misericordiam tuam contributuros, qui ad iniuriam ulciscendi."
The crowd stared at the dog's remains waiting for something to happen but the dog remained dead. Gordon smiled as he closed his book and ordered one of assistants to take the casket away.
"That proves that Vergil Min is wasting his time running for mayor, so in a few weeks I suggest you vote for Ted Wasonasong and his plans to increase the budget for all schools in Arlen."
"That was the scene earlier today." The anchormen said before Bobby shut off the TV
"Why does that parking ramp look familiar?" He asked himself
The sun had set and after having a wonderful evening Bill returned to his home. He sat down on his couch and watched TV for a half hour before deciding to retire to bed. The clock struck 1:21 a.m. and Bill was still fast asleep in bed when a series knock came from his front door. Bill slowly opened his eyes then became startled when five more knock came from the door. He quickly got off of bed, slipped on his robe, and headed to the front door then opened it and his eyes shot wide open.
(Hill residents: 7: 49 a.m.)
Bobby and Hank had just got done eating breakfast when Hank announced that he was going over to check up on Bill.
"I'm hoping he didn't have a relapse after he got home last night."
"I'm going to meet Cameron at Berry's house, then we're going to the mall."
"Well have fun, son." Hank said as he walked out of the door
Some would say Hank was being too lenient towards Bill and in a way they were right for Hank knew how Bill felt for it would soon be a year since Peggy died. He may seem like he was moving on by dating Allison but in fact they were taking it slow despite dating each other since June all because he felt like he didn't wait long enough after Peggy's death. He walked into the alley and towards Bill's house. He slowly knocked on the door and waited. The door opened and to Hank's sunrise the Bill that answered was a happy, smiling, and goofy Bill.
"Good morning, Hank." A very chipper Bill greeted
"Bill, are you drunk?" Hank asked assuming the worst
"Not today, Hank, for something marvelous happened last night."
Hank didn't know what to make of this usual happy Bill. That is until Bill invited him inside and saw the reason for Bill's new attitude. Sitting on the couch dressed in the same outfit as when they first met was Cameila, Bill's wife who until now was missing.
"Cameila," Hank said with disbelief, "your back."
"Good to hear your voice, Hank." Cameila greeted as stood up and carefully made her way to Hank then gave him a hug that made him uncomfortable
"When did she come back?"
"She knocked at my door around 1:30 this morning and we spent the entire time catching up." Bill explained
Hank couldn't believe that almost year later Cameila returned which turned Bill from the nearly self-destructive man from last night to a version he hadn't seen for years.
"Where have you been all this time?" Hank asked
"I can't remember." Cameila replied
"Well don't worry about remembering, the important thing is that you're back."
Suddenly Bill felt woozy and quickly sat down on the couch.
"You okay, Bill?"
"I'm fine, Cameila and I just drank our entire bottle of wedding wine to celebrate her return."
Meanwhile Bobby was pulling his car out of the garage and out of the driveway. He slowly made his way down the alley and pass the back of Bill's house where he saw his father and Bill walking out the back door laughing.
"Looks like last night did the trick." Bobby thought proudly
What he saw next stated him so bad that he slammed on the brakes for following his dad and Bill was Cameila, the vampire/siren hybrid he and Berry killed last year. The two men and the monster stared at Bobby who proceeded to drive off down the alley while Cameila watched him with an evil grin.
Bobby arrived at Berry's in a hurry, he ran up to the door and started to ring the doorbell in a panic.
"Dude, what's wrong?" An annoyed Berry asked when he answered the door
"She's back."
Cameila is back, how did that happen, was it because of Trent Gordon? Stay Tuned
