As summer came and went, so did the bright weather and as fall was to follow the bright season, it came with a cold addition to the air. As Angel came out with a jumper on and jeans, noting the cold in the early morning as her breath was visible in the cold climate, she set to work, seeing the leaves strewn across her farmland, the trees turning to colours of rustic gold, red and orange. But despite this new season that brought a cooler beginning, Angel wasn't deterred in her work and began to clear the ground in order to plant and water her new saplings and crops. Wiping her brow as she became warmer from the extensive work, Angel checked her watch 'eight am' she muttered nodding to herself, as she straightened up, going over to the barns and feeling a draft as she went inside.

Shivering as she knelt down by her cows and sheep, Angel felt their fur deciding it was too cold in their and so after feeding her livestock she went to find that in the chicken shed, her chickens were considerably warmer after having them redone in stone. After she had finished work Angel went into her home, to find some new deliveries had arrived and after storing the tools in her trunk, Angel went to the phone and listened for Gotz's voice to boom through the receiver. 'Hi Gotz, I need to have some upgrades done to the barn,' she began

'What kind of upgrade?' he questioned, Angel enquiring into the prices for stone and settling on the details before coming off the phone and finally going outside for a relaxing afternoon. On her travels Angel noticed Lumina walking down the path and waved to her keenly, 'Angel you must come to my home I have so much gossip to inform you on!' she said brightly, Angel noting the giggly mood that she was in, leading her to believe one thing…it was over a boy.

'I'd love to,' Angel agreed walking with Lumina to the grand mansion and inside where Romana and Sebastian greeted her pleasantly, 'good afternoon Angel, shall I make you both some tea Miss. Lumina?' Sebastian suggested the young heiress clapping her hands together in joy at the idea, before leading Angel up to her room and sitting her down. 'So come on who is it?' Angel asked smiling, only for it to fall with an expression of shock as Lumina explained her story. 'Well I was going for a walk to Mineral town, as I needed to order some new perfume and they were having a sale at just 10,000g for my favourite brand…' she started apparently oblivious to Angel's mouth hanging open slightly at the price before regaining her composure as Lumina continued. 'Anyway, I came out and there waiting for me was Rock, and I know how childish he is, but today his words just had such an affect on me I couldn't resist him…' she said with a dreamy sigh, Angel wondering what on earth he could've said in order to get Lumina to change her view of him. However the thought of Rock was somewhat off-putting to Angel who hadn't forgotten his awful behaviour on that night where Skye had ultimately helped her.

'Anyway…he'd bought me flowers, and presented them too me when we reached the entrance of the valley…then he took me too the beach and told me that he'd always thought I was the prettiest girl he had ever met. Then he continued to make me feel so sweetly in being in his company that I just couldn't resist when he asked me out.' Feeling a twinge of guilt Angel could barely smile let alone speak from Lumina's happy recount of her day with the man who had tried to have Angel only a few weeks before. Breathing slowly, Angel managed to leave quickly, passing it off by saying she had a headache and thought perhaps a short rest would settle it. Trying not to worry Lumina too much, Angel insisted she would be alright and swiftly departed from the mansion wondering what to do…should she remain silent and never breath a word regarding the incident between her and Rock…after all he hadn't actually done anything to her, only given her a mark where he had held her wrist so tightly…but then again, Angel didn't want Lumina to believe he was the picture of complete perfection and get hurt herself. It was all too much of a worry to the young farmer who walked through the valley with a troubled expression, only looking up as she nearly walked into Nina.'

'Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention,' Angel said apologetically, Nina ensuring her that it was no problem, when as she began to continue her walk, Angel delayed herself now seeing the troubled look upon Nina's face. 'Is something the matter?' she asked concerned, Nina shaking her head at first only to sigh and confess what was bothering her. 'I'm afraid I don't know what to do, due to the weather changes, the surrounding land of our home has become littered with stones, rocks, branches, and weeds, which in our age makes it very difficult to get around. Normally we manage but the other day I had a near fall, which Dr. Hardy said could've seriously hurt me, if I hadn't have caught myself in time, and since that Galen, my husband, has been trying to clear it alone, fearing for my safety…I know he's trying his best…but I don't want him to do it…he's wearing himself out and he will become ill I'm certain I don't know what to do.'

'I can help,' Angel said confidently,

'But you my dear? You're just a young lady; I can't possibly expect that of you…'

'it's no trouble, I clear my farmland so much during the year that helping to clear the plot shouldn't be too difficult, and it will be helpful to me, as the materials will prove helpful for when the builder I've hired comes tomorrow.'

Nina looked at Angel who was giving her a positive smile, assuring her she would be fine, and after a moment of considering any other way around it Nina gave in. 'Thank you so much…but the minute you need a rest please come inside,' she told her seriously, Angel promising she would and hoping that clearing the land for Nina and Galen would take her mind off Rock and Lumina. Spending her day clearing the fields was hard and tough, though Angel endured it well for the most part, gathering the stone remnants and other material as she gradually freed up the land, starting from where Nina and Galen came and went up to their home on the hill, until by sunset she had managed to completely empty half of the perimeter, much to Galen's delight. 'It's looking good, don't you worry, we'll take care of the rest,' he said, Angel shaking her head as she breathed deeply, 'it's no problem, I'll finish it…' she insisted not stopping for too long before resuming the work. Part of the reason she pushed herself so hard was due to the fact that Angel didn't want to rely on Galen and Nina to struggle in finishing the work, knowing it would be a hard blow to their energy levels if they did so.

However as Angel finally cut the last of the weeds, she was ready to collapse on the spot, feeling incredibly weary and tired, but looking at the time, she knew it would soon be time to see Skye. On that night, Angel wanted to see Skye for a reason, he had been the only witness to the night involving her and Rock, and had also taken the role of her brave knight, who helped her so fearlessly, but now she needed his advice. Believing he would help her choose in the decision to tell Lumina or not about the incident, Angel bid Nina and Galen goodbye, who were ever so grateful, but were unhappy at the weak state she seemed to be in, despite her efforts to hide it which took a lot from the farmer who had stretched to her limits in order to fulfil her promise. As she got up near Vesta's farm, Angel's mind was so focused on how physically worn she was, she didn't hear Celia calling to her at first until the young brunette ranch hand approached her. 'Angel,' she repeated coming closer her friend finally stopping and turning to her, coming out of the daze she had been in.

'Oh my, how tired you look, what have you been doing?' Celia asked, Angel explaining briefly the work she had managed to do that day, when Vesta came up behind them catching the last of it. 'It's not good for ya health ya know Angel, ya should have taken a break, though it was good of ya to give up your time to help em.'

'Thanks,' Angel replied, certain she would feel pleased with herself at the completion of the task when she was feeling less tired. 'Listen seen as you've worked so hard, and ya so worn out, would ya like to have dinner with us?' Vesta offered Angel beginning to say that she wouldn't want to put them out when Vesta raised a hand to silence her. 'Angel, you've done more than enough today, and we'd love for ya to be our guest.' Unable to argue, Angel walked to their house and was pleased to sit down, noting how Marlin was watching her steadily throughout the evening, asking if she was okay occasionally. 'I'll be alright, really, I just worked myself a bit too hard that's all,' she said now able to give a more reassuring attitude to her words after a hearty meal, prepared by Vesta and Celia.

'Would you like me to help you clear the plates?' Angel offered, Vesta declining initially, and suggested she just rest for a while, though as she got up and insisted she help after feeling she put herself on them tonight, Vesta was left with little option but to accept the offer, only ensuring that Angel did as little as possible, and it was only when the clock struck ten that Angel made got up to leave. 'I'd best get some sleep, and rest so I'll be alright in the morning,' she explained hastily, Marlin getting up after her and seeing her to the door, muttering so that only she could hear. 'Is something worrying you tonight?'

'No…why would you think that…?' Angel asked looking up at Marlin and meeting his gaze,

'You just seem a little distracted tonight…no one's giving you any trouble are they?' he questioned slowly, Angel watching his expression, searching for any hint as to how he seemed to see what had been generally on her mind that evening. 'No…I'm fine really…just tired,' she said softly, Marlin looking as if he wanted to pursue the matter farther but left the subject alone, Angel bidding him goodnight and leaving, but not to go to bed, but to go and await Skye.

Seeing the silver haired thief tonight was important, and as she looked down at her watch the time the face of the watch reflecting the moonlight, she saw it was half past twelve. 'He's late…' she muttered, looking down the path with some concern, Skye was never late, he always seem to follow the same routine so why would tonight be different? As the time got on, Angel finally caught sight of the gentlemen thief, Phantom Skye approaching her with a usual confident grin. 'Well good evening my dear, I thought you had been unable to join me on this fine evening…' he said calmly, Angel looking at him in confusion,

'I've been here since half ten…I didn't think you were coming,' she replied puzzled Skye chuckling as he explained he had been in the valley awaiting her company as he walked around the area. 'After all we usually take a different route on Sunday do we not?' he finished Angel gasping in realisation, she really had worked to hard that day, 'I'm sorry Skye…'

'Do not be sorry my fair maiden, I am in your presence now, though you seem a little down tonight is there something the matter?'

'Do I make my feelings that noticeable?' she asked, Skye shaking his head continuing to grin, his silver hair moving freely only to become still again. 'No my dear, you are not, we are alike in the sense that we both have so much to learn from each other, however tonight I can tell that something is playing on your mind…do you wish to talk?'

'Yes,' she sighed, suggesting they sit down, as she told him the day's events and her worry over what to do concerning the situation.

'Tell her,' Skye said after listening to her patiently, taking and considering every aspect, 'tell her, because if she is a friend you value, then you do not want her to be hurt unnecessarily, however only you have the casting decision.' His words were ones Angel found were right and true, Skye's help was something she had sought and he had not let her down, though as she thanked him, a yawn escaped Angel's lips, Skye now looking up into the night sky. 'It is late and I do believe that rest is of a vital element in your profession,' he smiled 'and I wouldn't want to see such a lovely lady held back by exhaustion.' Smiling back at him Angel thanked Skye again, remarking too that she had loved her evening in watching the fireworks with him. Seeing the genuine happiness he had brought to her in their evening together, made Skye pleased to know she had enjoyed herself as much as he had done. Watching her leave, Skye felt some regret in knowing that Angel would be faced with a hardship in learning of Skye's next move in the valley, and as he departed from the valley to head home, he left the note so easily, making no sound as he entered and departed the next place of choice. Though he did not know just how his plan would backfire, his true intentions for the night ahead, would not be revealed how he intended…
