I, am a horrible person.

I know that it's been months since I updated…so happy 2015! Can't believe the first term is nearly at an end. It feels like every year makes their own resolution – to go faster than the year before. At this pace, I'll be an old lady before I know it.

So the March holidays are coming up and I'm so excited to go see Cinderella (complete with Frozen Fever, ahh) and Insurgent! Any Divergent fans out there?

Anyway, a lot of you asked for a good long make-out session in this chapter and you know me…I make wishes come true. I sound like a fairy godmother or something :D

Enough of me blathering on. Happy reading!

Disclaimer: I do not own The Maze Runner or any of its characters.

Misconceptions and Make-Out Sessions

*Minho*

"Bloody shank," Minho grumbled at Gally's back, nursing his sore thumb for the fourth time in a row. "He's a shuck-faced asshole, he is."

"Tell us something we don't know." Newt's tousled head popped up from the other side of the wall. "I think we all figured that out way back in the Glade."

Minho glared at the hammer lying next to him with pure loathing, reluctant to pick it up. "This shucking thing hates me. This is the fourth bloody time that I've hammered my thumb."

Newt rolled his eyes. "That's because you never look where you're hammering."

"Hey!" Minho protested vehemently. "It's not my fault it's so large and the nail is so small."

Newt sighed in exasperation. "Listen, if you're just going to sit here and complain about everything, why don't you go and see what Tommy and Teresa are up to? Gally's going to pitch a bloody fit if he finds them making out and the last thing we need is his smart mouth and Tommy's temper together. The whole place would blow up."

Minho considered this for a second, then nodded, a devious smirk spreading over his face. "It'd be fun to needle him," he conceded. "Be right back."

Minho walked around the half-constructed cabin, making his way carefully through the pieces of wood and nails lying around. He was about to turn the corner when he heard Teresa's voice. Something was odd about the way she sounded. Frustrated and…

Breathless?

"Tom, it's stuck."

"It is not stuck."

"I told you not to just jam it in!"

"Would you save the 'I told you so' until after I get it out? Shuck, it's tight."

"Is that my fault?"

"I never said it was. Give me a hand, Teresa, will you?"

"What do you want me to do?"

"Just grab it with both hands and pull as hard as you can."

Minho froze, his hazel eyes widening in shock. No way. Were Thomas and Teresa…

He heard a grunt and then a sigh.

"Is the shucking thing ever going to come out?"

"I did tell you not to just shove it in there. It's bloody huge. How did you expect it to fit?"

Without thinking twice, Minho turned and fled back to Newt, his mind still processing everything he had just heard. "Newt!" he yelled, coming to a halt before the blonde boy. "Newt, you won't believe what the shuck I just heard!"

Newt got to his feet, brushing off his clothes. He looked at Minho quizzically, wondering if his friend had finally lost it completely. "What?"

"They're bloody doing it!"

"Who's doing what, Minho?" Newt asked patronizingly, as one would to a very small child.

"Thomas and Teresa! They're, they're…" Minho made some hand gestures that clearly implied what he was unable to put into words.

"What?" Newt stared at Minho. "You're joking."

"I heard them! I'm not making this up!" With that, Minho turned and darted off, calling to Newt over his shoulder. "Come and look if you don't believe me!"

Disbelievingly, Newt sprinted after the dark-haired boy, wincing as his ankle throbbed. It had been so many years since his fall in the Maze but the pain still persisted. He slowed down, limping slightly as he caught up to his friend.

They both turned the corner and stopped just as Thomas and Teresa swung themselves down from the roof and landed before them. Teresa's face was flushed, her blue eyes narrowing in puzzlement as she saw Minho and Newt. Thomas was grinning, a look of satisfaction on his face.

The two of them had the look of two people who had just had a lot of fun.

"What?" Teresa asked, her eyes flashing from one boy to the other. "Why are you looking at us like that?"

Minho finally found his voice, a cat-that-got-the-cream grin spreading across his face. "Well! What do we have here?"

Both Thomas and Teresa looked at Minho in confusion and then at each other, exchanging a look that clearly said I think he's gone nuts.

Minho put an arm around Thomas's shoulder and pulled him into a headlock, ruffling his hair. "You sly shank! You never told us you'd got to second base! How long has this been going on, huh?"

Thomas pulled himself free from Minho's grasp, running a hand through his hair as he fixed Minho with a look of irritation. "What're you talking about, shuckface?"

"Oh come on, Tommy!" Newt said. "You know perfectly well what we're talking about."

"No," Thomas said slowly, in a tone that suggested he was barely keeping his patience. "I don't."

Minho rolled his eyes. "We're going to have to say it straight out, huh? How long have you two been having sex?"

The reactions were priceless.

Thomas choked on nothing at all as he waved his hands wildly in the air, barely missing Teresa's head. The dark-haired girl managed to maintain her composure better, although her pale skin flushed a deep pink.

"We – I – what?" Thomas spluttered, trying and failing to find words.

Teresa's blue eyes zeroed in on Minho and she fixed him with a penetrating glare. "We are not having sex."

"Riight," Minho drawled, crossing his arms. "And we're supposed to believe that? I heard you – both of you."

Teresa raised an eyebrow, her tone cool and dangerous as she spoke. "So you didn't actually see us, did you? You just heard what we said?"

"Well, yeah, but it was pretty clear."

Without another word, Teresa climbed up the ladder resting on the side of the wall and swung herself up on the roof of the cabin. She hadn't even been up there for a minute before she jumped down again, holding something small in her hand.

"Thomas here tried to push this – " Teresa held up the object, which they saw was a piece of wood shaped like a cylinder, "into a hole clearly too small for it. We were fixing the roof."

Both boys stared at the piece of wood in her hand before Newt turned slowly to glare at Minho, a look of deep disgust on his face. "I should've known better than to listen to you!"

He stomped off and Minho followed, protesting all the while. "But how was I supposed to know? It did sound an awful lot like they were doing it…"

*Teresa*

Teresa rolled her eyes. "Boys. They're just fixated on one thing."

This seemed to jolt Thomas out of his daze. "Hey! I happen to be a boy!"

"Exactly," Teresa retorted dryly before turning to walk back up the ladder. She hadn't even made it one step before Thomas seized her wrist and pulled her back, backing her up against the wall.

She looked up into his eyes, suddenly feeling nervous. "Tom? What are you doing?"

"You think it's just guys, do you?" he asked her, pressing her closer to the wall, his hands on either side of her head. Teresa swallowed, not entirely sure of what game they were playing but liking it all the same. "Of course," she cocked her head to one side, azure eyes wide and innocent. "Girls are too good to even think of such things. It's you boys who corrupt us."

"But you don't exactly stop us, do you?"

"Oh shut up and kiss me, shuckface," Teresa breathed, too impatient to wait any longer. She grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down, their lips meeting.

She felt as if she hadn't kissed him properly in weeks, what with finding out about Ana and Gally forcing them to work day and night, and the kiss felt like a breath of fresh air after being trapped in an airless room for an eternity.

Her hands locked around his neck and his tangled in her hair and his lips moved furiously against her own, her body pressing against his as she stood on tiptoes.

He broke away from her lips to trail kisses down her cheek and jaw, down and down past her neck and collarbone and she was suddenly thankful that she was wearing a tank-top because she didn't want him to stop. She gasped as he lifted her up suddenly, her legs wrapping around his waist so that they were closer than ever and she was suddenly accurately aware of how certain parts of them were in close proximity to each other but she couldn't find it in herself to care.

His lips found her mouth again, and he groaned as she bucked her hips slightly, his grip on her waist tightening, her shirt riding up and his hands on her bare skin sending tingles up her spine as he deepened the kiss…

"I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!"

Teresa's eyes flew open and she detached herself from Thomas, her hands flying to her hips as she turned to glare at the person who had so rudely interrupted them.

Of course, because the universe hated her, it was Gally.

"You two can't be alone for one minute!" he raged, pacing up and down. "We have two hundred people to house and here I find you two can't control your hormones enough to get a job done!"

Thomas rolled his eyes. "Yes, because they're all going to be homeless for the rest of their lives if we kiss for five minutes."

"Shut up, shank," Gally retorted. "I'm the one in charge here, not you."

"Yeah, and if I remember correctly, you wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for me. You'd have fallen to your death from a cliff."

Gally's face darkened as he glanced between Thomas and Teresa, seemingly waging some internal war. "Fine," he snapped. "But you aren't working together. Teresa, you can go with Anastasia and Felicity. Thomas, you can help Newt and Aris."

Then he stalked off. probably to go harass some other poor soul.

"Shank," Thomas glared at his retreating back. "Does he always had to go spoil everyone else's fun?"

Teresa reached up to give Thomas a chaste kiss on the cheek. "You know," she whispered in his ear, not quite knowing where she got the courage, "we can always continue this later."

He groaned quietly. "Now what am I supposed to do when you say things like that?"

She smirked. "Too bad. You'll just have to deal with it. Consider it punishment for the days of worry you caused me."

"That was three weeks ago!" Thomas protested.

"I don't forgive easily," Teresa smiled angelically. "Looks like you have a lot of making up to do, Tom."

"And what exactly will I be forgiven?" he inquired.

"When I'm satisfied." And with that, Teresa walked off, smiling wickedly as she heard Thomas's low oath behind her.

"I can't believe you said that!" Anastasia laughed. "Oh, I wish I'd been there!"

"You should've seen the look on his face," her sister grinned. "It was hilarious."

"Seriously speaking though," Felicity interjected. "You two are perfect for each other. I'll bet my life on the fact that he'll ask you to marry him."

"Felicity!" Teresa protested. "We're just nineteen!"

"Not right now," her friend rolled her eyes. "But definitely in the future."

"You know," Ana said thoughtfully, "I agree with her. I've known you two for just three weeks but I can see how much you love each other."

Teresa looked down at her hands, not really knowing what to say.

Anastasia and Felicity exchanged knowing looks but changed the subject and soon the three girls were laughing together, although Teresa hadn't forgotten their words.

She and Thomas had never talked about their future together. After all they had gone through in their past, they had always just lived in the present, never looking further than the next day.

Thomas wasn't just her boyfriend, he was someone she trusted with her life, someone who had always been there for her, someone who rushed to her side when she had nightmares, someone who understood her like no one else did.

And if, in the future, she ever got married, there was no one else she'd rather marry than Thomas.

So….was that foreshadowing? You never know! ;)

Anyway, I have some news for you guys: I'm going to issue you something I call the One-Shot Challenge. Here are the rules:

You can issue me a scenario for a one-shot but only involving these characters: Teresa, Thomas, Newt and Minho. Please don't send me requests for characters from the Scorch Trials and Death Cure. You can also issue scenarios involving Anastasia.. If you want to know more about her background, her relationship with Newt….here's your chance.

I'm not going to pick all of them but I will pick the ones that look most interesting. You can use the Maze Runner universe as your setting but you can also use modern day or AU.

As always thanks for the reviews, they made my day! Please know that I appreciate all of you so much, but if I write responses to all of you, this AN will be super long. It does NOT mean that I do not appreciate you guys. You all are bloody amazing.

Lil-kay9944: Aw, thanks! I'll definitely be writing more Thomas and Teresa moments, don't worry!

Distressedfan1: I hope you're withdrawal hasn't come back! I have no idea why they make Annabeth cheat on Percy either – like honestly, are you just an idiot who thinks it's fun to break up the best couple ever?

Guest: Okay, there were three of you, so idk if you're the same person but thanks anyway! I'll NEVER kill off Thomas or Teresa :O And thanks for pointing out that people can't survive from falling such a long distance into water! I've gone back and rectified that mistake.

Taylor: That meant so much to me. Thank you so, so much.

LivingFandoms12: I hate Brenda too! I just wanted her to get lost and stop making a move on Thomas. And yes, I LOVE Thomas Brodie-Sangster, just amazing as Newt. P.S You're shuckiest shuck-faced shuck thing made me laugh so hard I fell off my chair.

Kairiluvzu830: I hope you enjoyed this update! :)

Aurora Marie Williams: I think that I have to thank YOU for such a lovely review. I'm just doing what I love to do, but no story exists without readers like you who support me. Thank you so much. And please, you wasting my time? It's reviews like yours that make me want to write more.

Nobody: You dude, are my new best friend. I get looks like that from my family whenever I'm crying over a book too. They just don't get it. :( P.S Are you a HoO fan? Coz I freaking love HoO.

T.k.98: Yup, there are other survivors as shown in chapter 9. That being said, they don't have to repopulate the earth right away. It will take time.

Reader, Guest, Anonymus, horseslovers: Thanks! Hope you enjoyed this!

Jaden: I stated in the author's note of my first chapter that this is a fanfiction so it was Brenda who died saving Thomas. Please get the facts right before you call anyone a 'sucking idiot'.

Whew, this took hella long. Till next time!
