(Me!)

Cindy's Dad, Adam McPherson, knocked politely on his daughter's door, stepping into the room with an easy, wide smile on his face. His dark brown hair and crystal blue, clear eyes always made her friends and teachers swoon with envy. He was such a warm, sweet person - to this day, Cindy never understood how he ended up with her Mom.

She had to admit, her Daddy looked very handsome with his joyful smile. He was always this cheerful when her Mom wasn't around.

"My little Oompa-Loompa! How are you doing today, Princess?" Cindy's father gave her a huge hug, kissing her forehead affectionately.

"Daddy! Welcome back! Did you have a good trip?" Cindy grinned as her father released her, then went back to sitting on her bed.

"I did! You wouldn't believe how well they eat in Texas! I'm pretty sure I gained 15 pounds!"

Cindy laughed easily, poking her father's tummy, "I'd say more like 20."

"Ouch! Cindy-loo, that's harsh." Her father said dramatically, covering his heart.

"Haha, I still love you, Dad!" Cindy could feel her heart pounding in her chest nervously. As much as she wanted to stay and chat with her Dad, her boyfriend was still hiding in her bathroom. Her brain raced at a million miles a minute; how could she get him out of her room?

"How long are you back for?"

"I just came by to grab some clothes and see my Princess Cindy. I'll be at the office late tonight and then I fly out again in the morning."

"Poor Daddy!"

"Haha, someone's gotta pay for your college, baby girl." Cindy's Dad patted her on the head, then pressed a chaste kiss into her cheek. "I'm off. I left you a present and some dinner in the kitchen. You really need to eat more!"

"So I can gain 20 pounds like you? Ha, you wish!"

Chuckling loudly, Cindy's Dad closed her door softly behind himself. In two seconds flat, the blonde jumped up off of her bed and practically ran into the bathroom, only to assaulted by an extremely impatient Riley Freeman. He hoisted her up against the bathroom door, pulling her mouth down against his. Cindy felt her body tremble as Riley pressed his mouth against her's, practically melting into a puddle.

"Milky, you sound so proper when you speak to ya pops." Riley trailed fervent kisses down her neck and on her collarbone as he spoke, pressing her body closer into his.

"Well yeah, he's my Pops and I respect him."

"Mmm-hmmm," Riley was absolutely done talking about Cindy's dad. He nipped at the side of her neck, earning a breathy moan from his girlfriend.

Cindy took that as her cue to stop talking so much and focus on the task at hand.

With Huey

Huey fought the urge to sigh out loud. He wanted to get off of work and go home. Jazmine had promised to come over today after cheerleading practice and the idea of his girlfriend in a cute, short skirt ignited his more base thoughts.

Yet, he refrained from any outward display of his emotions, mainly because he'd have to run out of the bookstore if he did. Instead, he went about making another cappuccino for the beautiful woman that had ordered three in advance. He glanced at her again as he went about making her beverage, taking note of how her eyes welled up with tears as she stared into the half-empty cup in front of her.

He heaved a sigh out loud and grabbed a large blueberry muffin out of the display case, taking it over to the woman with her pre-ordered beverage. Her honey colored eyes and shoulder-length brown hair reminded him of Jazmine for some reason and it was hard, even for him, not to have a bit of pity on her.

Having set both the drink and the muffin down, Huey turned to leave when the older woman spoke to him, "B-But I didn't order…"

Shoving his hands in his pockets, the afro-haired young man gave her a look that was a cross between irritated and bored, "It's free. My girlfriend likes to eat a lot of sugar when she's upset." Huey shrugged as if the information was common knowledge and turned to walk away. Instead, he was halted by the lady grabbing his wrist.

"Do... Do you think you could sit with me for a little bit?"

Biting on the inside of his cheek to hold back a not-so-polite retort, Huey nodded curtly and sat down in the chair across from the woman. He took note of everything: her watery gaze, the occasional sniffs, and her tight grasp of the cup in front of her.

"I'm sorry if my request is a bit… unusual. I just… We came here together so often. This was our special place and…" her voice broke off a bit and she sniffed again, taking a deep breath. Huey only had eyes for Jazmine but the woman in front of him was beautiful, that he couldn't deny.

And as if he was slapped with a ton of bricks, Huey suddenly remembered who she was.

"The guy, right?"

The mocha skinned woman in front of him looked up, her eyes wide as Huey had hit the nail on the head. The tears that had been threatening to overflow finally spilled forth, and she looked down at the table, trying to cover her face as best she could.

"He...We… You remember us?"

'Well, when my little brother's future father-in-law walks into my job with a woman that's NOT his wife...' But Huey kept these thoughts to himself and simply nodded, earning another sniffle from the woman.

"We used to come here all the time. He just… he called me today and… I mean, I knew he wasn't going to leave his wife but I thought...I just-!" She grasped the cup so tightly the skin on her knuckles was nearly white. "I wasn't expecting him to end it…" She whispered, in such a soft tone that Huey had to strain to hear her.

To show that he did actually care a bit, Huey pushed the small plate holding the muffin closer to her hand. He wasn't going to ask her anymore questions, and really he couldn't - he was on the clock, after all.

The woman glanced up, her glistening eyes giving him a look that was a mix between awe and gratitude.

"Thank you," Huey watched as her gaze swept from his face to his nametag and back again, "Huey."

Standing up, Huey put his hands in his pockets and walked back to the cash register without saying another word.

He needed to have a serious conversation with Riley once he got off of work tonight.

With Riley

Riley pressed another soft kiss on Cindy's swollen mouth. He smirked to himself as his thumb traced her lips; he had kissed her absolutely senseless. After they had finally managed to pull away from each other, they had watched a movie and ate dinner together.

"Do you really have to go?"

"Baby Gurl, I been here since we got out of school! I know ya Mom's ain't gonna be back till tomorrow, but after ya Pop's steppin in, I don't wanna get risk it," Cindy pouted but nodded reluctantly.

To reward her, Riley kissed her again, "If you make that face, I ain't eva gonna go home."

Cindy smirked, a seductive light in her eyes, "So don't."

"Nah-uh, no way. You ain't gonna get me shot!"

The young couple laughed together, as Cindy wrapped her arms around Riley's waist and gently kissed him for a third time.

"Ok, get ya ass out mah house then." Cindy stepped in front Riley and opened the front door to show him out.

Only to come face to face with her very angry mother, who was totally turning red in the face.

"CINDY MCPHEARSON!"
