Once at Stiles house the boys escort me up to Stiles' room. Danny and I take up the bed while Stiles sits in his computer chair. They seem to be fighting with themselves. I sigh. "Go ahead and ask anything you want." They share a look before Stiles opens his mouth. "Did you really kill your mother?" I look at each of them slowly before answering. "Yes. It was during childbirth. My father has blamed me for her death ever since I can remember." Silence follows my answer.
"Who is your father?" Danny asks. My face scrunches up in disgust. "An evil and vile man that should be tortured in the most painful way before being slaughtered." I bite out. Stiles swallows nervously. I roll my eyes. "I've only ever been aloud to call him Matthews. That's all anyone is aloud to call him. But his name is Dan Matthews." I explain. Not once was I ever to call him Dad or Daddy. It was always Matthews.
"But isn't your last name Shade?" Stiles asks. I frown. "Shade is my mother's maiden name. My real name is Luna Matthews." Bile fills my throat at saying that retched name with mine. Stiles face brightens. "That explains it." He exclaims. "Stiles." Danny scolds. Stiles tries to cover up the enlightened look on his face. "Explains what?" I question. Stiles face reddens. Danny sighs "We tried to do a background check on you in the beginning. But we could never find anything for Luna Shade except the many schools you've attended and dropped out of." I chuckle. "Yep easy way to stay hidden." My comment seems to ease the boys a bit. "So you trained the Alpha Pack?" Stiles asks.
"Yes. And I'm going to help you all out with the information on them." I stat. "How? Derek isn't going to listen to you. He is too much of a sour wolf to get over his past." Stiles rambles. I chuckle. "This is true. but I'm not going to tell Derek this. I'm going to help the pack out." My plan starts to come together in my head. I will not let Derek's stubbornness destroy my pack.
It's been a week since I was kicked out of the pack. Since then I have had secret meetings with each pack member to help prepare them with for the Alpha's. There hasn't been another sighting in a while, but that just means that they are waiting patiently for a time to strike. There is a knock on the bedroom door making me jump. I swirl around in Stiles chair to see Isaac standing there. Stiles and Danny are at a late afternoon Lacrosse practice leaving me here alone. "Isaac shouldn't you be at Lacrosse." I ask. Isaac only shrugs before sitting on the bed. Something is bothering him.
Isaac seems to have really grown on me ever since I rescued him. I can't help but feel motherly to those big blue eyes. I shut off the computer and make my way to him. Sitting next to him on the bed. Isaac only pulls me into his lap and nuzzles his nose into the crook of my neck. Scent marking me. I wrap my arms around him and hold him close. "Isaac baby what's bothering you?" I ask.
"It doesn't feel right." He mumbles into my neck. "What doesn't feel right?" I can't help but feel like it has something to do with me. "You not being at home. You not being with the pack all the time. It's not right." My poor baby. I never knew he was so in sync with his wolf. Of course this would bother him. I'm the pack mom and I'm not there. Maybe that's why he tries to stay around me as much as possible. "Isaac, I'm so sorry. But I am here for you. How bout tonight you stay with me and Stiles. Then we will plan sleep overs when ever you want. You can even invite other members of the pack if you want." I don't even care if he brings along Jackson. As long as my puppy gets to feeling better.
Isaac holds me tighter. "Does that make you feel better?" I ask. He nods. I still can't get over the fact that I like being this close to someone. Even if it's not Derek I like being held like this by a pack member. It comforts me as well. "Do you miss him?" Isaac asks. My heart aches knowing he is meaning Derek.
"Yes." I breath. "I miss him a lot. But I can bear it for now." Its true. It may hurt but I am too strong to let this bring me down. Besides I have a pack to look after.
"He misses you too." Isaac says into my skin. My heart swells at the thought of my mate missing me. "Really?" I ask almost to happily. "Yeah, he is more of a sour wolf now. But he is too stubborn to admit it." I chuckle. "I don't think he will ever admit it." I say sadly. Isaac only shrugs.
"So why aren't you at Lacrosse?" I ask. "Because I wanted to have some attention from you to myself." I roll my eyes but can't help but let a smile form across my face. "You are just like a puppy." Isaac chuckles. "Duh."
When Stiles and Danny return its dark out and Isaac is curled up around me on the bed, fast asleep. They only roll their eyes as I give them a sign to hush. Danny kisses my forehead sweetly before leaving. Stiles scoots onto the open spot of the bed behind me. He snuggles up to my back. I take his hand in mine to intertwine our fingers. I feel so safe and so much comfort from being in between two pack members. "Goodnight Luna." Stiles whispers. "Night Stiles." I sigh contently and finally let myself drift off to sleep.
