A/N: Chapter 11! I'm not as proud of this chapter, but it's a very important part of the story. Enjoy!

"I wanna know the reasons you love me." Pam confidently smiled, and then mentally kicked herself. She was just with Roy only hours ago and this was very unlike her. "I mean…" she tried to fix what she had already said.
Jim pulled out his phone without hesitation. A storm of butterflies fluttered through the pit of his stomach as he found the note. He stared at the numbered list not remembering what all he wrote. Looking up at her, he said, "Pam…I can't show this to you if you don't feel the same way about me."
She knew that was true, and it was fair.
"And…there's Roy, I don't know if…" he continued but she cut him off.
"Jim."
His eyebrows rose like they always did when he was curious.
Pam stared into his eyes and got lost in them. She could see that he loved her more than she'd ever seen anyone love another person. She didn't even need a list of reasons to show how much he did. Jim showed his love for her every day and it took her until now to realize that. But he deserved more than she could ever give to him.
"I…" she started to speak but honestly didn't know what to say. She wanted to tell him that yes, she loved him. She loved him more than she could ever love Roy and that more than anything, in this moment, all she wanted was him, but she didn't know how. And before she could form the exact words she needed to say, it was as if Jim had read her thoughts because he closed the space between them and pressed his lips against hers. For a second Pam wasn't sure how to react, but the warm fuzziness in her chest and head acted as guidance. Soon she was kissing back. The way his soft lips felt against hers pushed her past thoughts out of her head.
Pam felt his hand move to her thigh, finally breaking their kiss; Jim leaned back from her and gazed into her eyes. She could feel her heart beat hard against her chest as he stared in awe at her.
"I love you." She stated.
Jim sighed with relief. It was as if he lived to hear those three words come out of her mouth. Those words she just spoke were like oil to tin man. They seeped into his skin and let him feel again. Maybe Pam was his Dorothy after all.
He smiled, "I love you too."
"Here" He added while handing her his phone. He watched as she took a deep breath and read the title again, memories rushing back. "Oh and Pam, you should know, there's not only thirty eight reasons. I could spend the rest of my life writing out a list of reasons why I love you, and when I got done, I'd still have more to write."
Pam looked at him. "That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me."
"I don't know how it could be," he moved closer to her and whispered in her ear, "because you deserve nothing but sweet things."
Softly kissing her temple, he moved back, but not too far because he liked being close to her. Oh the years he spent at work thinking of things he'd say to her if she was his. Now he finally could, and he had them stocked up.
"Number one, when she leaves me notes at my desk. Two, the way she twirls her hair while playing solitaire."
"You know what? You probably shouldn't read them out loud." He blushed.
"Why?" she looked up at him.
"I don't know. I feel weird."
"You mean embarrassed?" she teased. "Oh come on, Jim, no one has ever made me a list like this. It's cute and I love it." She smiled.
"Okay." He shook his head.
Pam decided to read it silently anyway.

39.
"Jim…I just don't know what to say."
All Pam knew was that there was nowhere else she wanted to be. He made her happy and she couldn't thank him enough for the wonderful list.
"You don't have to say anything."
"But I feel like I need to tell you…there's…there's nowhere else I'd rather be than here. And you make me by far happier than anyone else ever has. And, I'm sorry for…for everything."
Jim just stared at her, grasping on to every word she said because he never thought he'd hear any of it.
"Pam, you don't have to be sorry for anything."
But she was sorry for all the pain she had unintentionally caused him.
"Hey, why is thirty nine blank?"
Jim took the phone and looked at it. "Oh, I was adding on too it but never did."
"What's thirty nine?" she shyly smiled.
"Number thirty nine. She's perfect in every way." He answered.
"That's not true but you sure do know how to sweet talk a woman."
"I know how to sweet talk you." He corrected.
Pam laughed that beautiful laugh that reminded Jim they weren't in a meeting laughing at Michael, or at her desk talking about the next prank on Dwight; they were in his home just simply laughing. And it was perfect.
Jim swiftly grabbed Pam by the arms and pulled her into a kiss that he wanted to remember forever. Their lips met together and it was as if he had learned a foreign language or discovered a new planet in the solar system. He poured every emotion he had into that kiss to prove that each and every reason he loved her were not just words on a note in his phone. They were words that he would mean forever and stand by until he died. And he couldn't wait to tell her more things he loved about her because he was sure that he would find something new every day that he breathed the same air as her. Jim ran his hands up her arms feeling all of her chill bumps, and then moved to her face. He cradled her face in his hands and kissed her more passionately as if this was all a dream and when he opened his eyes she'd be gone.
Jim opened his eyes and looked deep into hers only to find that this of course was a dream, but the kind that came true. He gently tucked a curl behind her ear and gave her a peck on the side of her lips and said, "Let's take the day off tomorrow. What do you say?"
