WWE owns Everyone, but Sparrow... DID YOU PEOPLE SEE THAT THEY RELEASED DREW MCINTRYE AND EVAN BOURNE! WTF?! Some days I just want to smack these people upside the head...
Corey knocked on Sparrow's hotel room door. He has given her a week to cool off and has only talked to her about his scheduling, but that didn't mean he wasn't keeping an eye to her. A few days ago he had heard Colby and Jon talking about Sparrow and the depressive mood she had been in. He knew it was the day of her husband's passing and it fucking killed him not being there for her. He knew that if he were to try to get near her Austin would have ripped his head off and paraded it around on a stick for the locker room to see. According to Colby and Jon, Hunter had made no effort to console his daughter, which only made her spiral into a deeper depression and had Steve in a blind rage.
The door pulled open slowly to reveal a usual angry Austin "What do you want?" He growled.
"To talk to Sparrow." Corey answered. Frankly he was tired of Austin being around, he always seemed to get in his way.
"That ain't happenin', son." Austin replied as he tried to shut the door.
Corey's hand reached out and stopped the door. "I'm not taking no for an answer. I gave her a week to cool down, I want to apologize. So you either get the hell out of my way, Austin or I'll knock you the hell out." Corey had no clue where the hell that had come from, but he couldn't show fear now.
Austin studied the young man debating on what to do. Finally reaching decision he opened the door "You fuck her up anymore, Graves and I'll knock you into next week. Got it?" Austin stared at him angrily.
"Got it." Corey responded.
"I'll be back in an hour." Austin grunted making his way out of the room to give Corey some privacy.
Corey marched in and closed the door behind him. Sparrow sat on the bed flipping through the latest addition of the WWE magazine. Corey had a few pictures and an interview in there. "Hey." Corey greeted her alerting her of his presence.
"What do you want?" She grumbled not bothering to look up at him. Sparrow had no energy left to deal with people on an emotional level. She has been closing herself off to everyone. She does still keep an eye to people, but that doesn't mean she talks to them.
Corey sat on the bed his one leg on the bed so he could face her. "We need to talk."
"I don't need to do shit."
"Sparrow, I am sorry. I was angry the other week and what I said I didn't mean. "
She sighed deeply "It doesn't matter anymore. I don't care."
"You don't care? Bullshit." Corey spat. "If you didn't care you would be actually talking to me."
She looked up at him "I have no more time for your games. I can't mentally deal with your drama right now."
"I'm done with drama. Me and Summer have come to an agreement, we are going to put the child up for adoption, so no more fighting there. I'm done drinking and I'm friends with the guys again. There is no more drama."
"For now. How long are you going to keep that charade up? You strive off of drama, Corey. That's just you. You love to be the bad guy and stir up trouble and you love being the center of attention."
"That's bullshit and you know it."
"Whatever, Corey."
"Don't do that to me. Don't fucking shut push me away. I'm not just another one of your friends. I know shit about you that you couldn't tell the other guys. Talk to me, I know for a fact there is more than just what I did eating at you."
"Jesus, there always has to be a fight when it comes to you. I really don't need to spill my guts, I'm fine."
"Stop lying. You need to spill your guts because everything that has ever happened to you is eating away at you. It's killing you, Sparrow. I don't know if I could handle a life without you. So talk to me."
"When the hell did you become so attached to me?"
"When I figured out that you were the only one looking out for my best interest. You're the only one who had the balls to say that I was pissing my life away. "
Sparrow sighed "What do you want to know, Corey?"
"I want to know what's going on in your head."
"So do I." She huffed.
Corey gave her a tight-lipped smile "Talk to me, babe." He tried to lighten the mood. For the next hour Sparrow seriously talked to him with out yelling. She told him everything that had been on her mind, everything she blamed herself for, and everything she felt. Everything flooded out of her and by the end she was crying. All Corey could do was listen and hold her while she cried. After a while she fell asleep in his arms with her head on his shoulder, lucky for Corey, Austin is delayed in his return. He untangled himself from her before pulling the covers around her and leaving the room.
Corey felt happy leaving the room. He felt like they were rebuild a friendship, he felt like he could save her from her past. He also felt that he could be her future. It had finally hit Corey that the emotions he felt towards Sparrow weren't just friendly. He wanted her, but she is so broken; that didn't mean he wasn't willing to wait for her to be ready for some sort of relationship.
Austin opened the door to Hunter's office, not bothering to knock. Hunter stood up from his seat and headed around the table towards Austin to greet him with a hand shake. Stephanie smiled at the Texas Rattle Snake, but he didn't even look her way. Just as Steve and Hunter came face to face, Austin gave him an upper cut sending him stumbling backwards into the desk. Stephanie's mouth dropped open as she looked on in horror.
"That's for being a dick to your daughter." Austin barked. "I warned you Hunter and you didn't fucking do anything." He spat.
Hunter gathered himself together "I don't understand why you have such a protectiveness over my daughter." Hunter glared at him.
"It's because you're too much of a ass clown to realize how much pain you put that girl through. How much she needed you!" Austin yelled.
"This is still about the Daryl thing? Jesus, can we just get over that. I've tried to be nice about it, I've tried to be there for her, but I never liked the kid!" Hunter yelled.
"THIS IS ABOUT THE FUCKING CHILD SHE LOST AT CHILDBIRTH! YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT IF YOU WOULD HAVE SHOWED UP AT THE FUNERAL, BUT YOU COULDN'T GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!" Austin roared and as soon as he said it he regretted it.
"What?" Stephanie squeaked out as she looked at him wide-eyed. "She had a baby?"
Austin mentally slapped himself, he had stepped in it now. "She had a boy." He muttered.
Hunter turned pale and gulped "When?" He practically whispered.
"Month and a half after the funeral." Austin's eyes dropped to the ground.
Hunter glared daggers at him "AND YOU DIDN'T FUCKING TELL ME?!" He shouted.
"Fuck you, Hunter! If you would have been there, you would have known! Don't put this shit on me!" Austin yelled.
"She lost the baby." Steph whimpered as the guys fought. She scurried out of the room going unnoticed by the men who continued the yelling match. Her motherly instinct had kicked in, she had to be there for her daughter. She never understood how she could become so attached to a child that wasn't even hers biologically, but at this moment she didn't care. Sparrow needed a mother figure even if she is a little late.
Steph found Sparrow talking to Cena, they seemed to be having a casual conversation. With out much thought she ran up to Sparrow and wrapped her in a hug and squeezed her as tight as possible. Sparrow gave a half ass hug back. "What's wrong?" Sparrow asked.
Stephanie sniffled "We know about the baby." She whispered.
Sparrow turned a pale color and her eyes widened in horror. How did they figure out? How mad is her father? Who told? She wanted to run and hide. The last thing she needed was more people finding out how bad of a mother she was. How she allowed her baby to die. How she is the main cause of her baby not surviving. Sparrow didn't see that she had people there for her, all she saw is her life in ruins.
