"We just talked about everything this morning, Kurt. This is just too much for me right now," Sebastian pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Well, she knows we're not just screwing around. And I didn't really appreciate that comment by the way," Kurt scolds.

Sebastian grimaces, "I know you told me how bad she was getting, but that really pissed me off. I just wanted to freak her out."

"Yeah, that was a great idea," Kurt says sarcastically, but then he sighs. "Look, I'll deal with her. Just go." He gestures towards the door.

"I'm sorry about the comment," his eyes glancing up to meet Kurt's.

"I get that this is hard for you, but I don't want to be made into one of your boy toys."

"You should know by now that's not what you are. I'm just overwhelmed, okay?" Sebastian's green eyes look at him with a hint of something that seems like fear.

"Okay, okay. It's done. It's passed. Just don't do it again."

Kurt's surprised when Sebastian nods without a comeback or snarky insult.

They step out of the room. Rachel is sitting at the kitchen table, her lips pursed into a thin line. Kurt tries to avoid her scrutinizing gaze and escorts Sebastian out.

He saunters over to Rachel and sits down. "Now, I'd like to do this peacefully and calmly. I'm going to tell you what's going on."

Her expression lightens and she nods. He takes a deep breath and gives her the brief rundown of his "relationship" with Sebastian. However, he leaves out most of the mushy stuff Sebastian told him earlier in the day and the personal story about Will from when he was sixteen. She didn't need to know that. Nobody except for him and Sebastian needed to know that.

When he finishes, she's surprisingly calm. "So... you really like him, huh?"

"I feel good when I'm with him. And things just click. I've changed since Blaine and I started dating and I think I'm just now starting to realize it. Sebastian matches me better." It just came to Kurt. He's so different from the high school version of himself. He's much more independent now and doesn't care what others think about him in the way he once did. He doesn't mind the night life as much and is finding that getting drunk can actually be fun.

"I'm going to go out on a limb here and I'm going to trust you, Kurt. But if that snarky piece of—I mean, if he hurts you, he's not going to hear the end of it," she wags her finger to emphasize her point.

Kurt smiles, "Thank you, Rachel. That means a lot. And I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about it sooner, I just wasn't ready."

"I should have given you more space. Things have just been tense between us. I miss talking to you, Kurt. How long has it been since we had one of our Thursday night dinners or Sunday movie nights?"

Kurt can't even remember the last time. It had been weeks—ever since Brody happened and Kurt ran into Sebastian.

"I miss those too," he smiles. "How about we start right now? How's Brody?"

Rachel looks down. Her lips forming a thin line. "I don't think it's going to work out."

"What? Why?"

"Something just feels off between us. And I think I actually want to focus on my career and NYADA." She shrugs her shoulders as though it's no big deal, but Kurt still raises his eyebrows. "I know what you're thinking 'Rachel Berry without a love interest?' But I don't need a guy to be successful. And even if there was going to be one in my life, I don't feel like Brody is it."

"Well, good for you then. I'm very proud of you Rachel."

"Thank you. I really think this is a step in the right direction for me," she affirms. "So, um, what about Blaine? Have you told him about everything yet?"

"I think he has an idea. Sebastian kind of answered one of his calls a couple days ago."

"Oh my gosh. What happened?" She leans closer, her eyes wide and bright.

"Well, he told Blaine off because he was calling too much. And then told him he made a huge mistake cheating on me."

"Wow. Maybe Sebastian has changed," She says, surprise and approval in her voice.

"I haven't talked to Blaine since. He's texted me, but I haven't read them."

"You know he must feel really bad."

"That doesn't change what he did, though," Kurt says with a bit more force than necessary. He doesn't want to talk about this right now.

"Are you sure you're really over him, Kurt?" Rachel's sincere and he knows she just wants to help, but it's only getting on his nerves.

"I'm doing better. I barely think about him anymore." And if he does he goes to Sebastian. Sebastian makes it easier. Sebastian makes Blaine disappear.

"You know, it's only been a few weeks, Kurt. It's okay if you're still struggling." Rachel grabs his hand from across the table reassuringly.

"But I'm not. I'm just… figuring things out."

At Kurt's edginess, Rachel pulls back and decides to change the topic. "How about we watch a movie?"

"Okay. I'm just going to text Sebastian and let him know how things went."

She nods and stands. "I'll set up the movie."

Kurt travels back to his room and picks up his phone. He sits at the edge of his bed. The talk with Rachel was compelling him to open Blaine's messages. In order to completely move on from Blaine, he's going to have to face him. And reading these texts and maybe even responding is the start.

Kurt, I'm sorry I keep bugging you before you're ready. I just miss you. And I get that I'm an idiot. Just call me when you're ready too.

And sorry for bugging you again.

He's content. Blaine actually seemed normal so he texts him back.

Blaine, I really appreciate you giving me some space. Maybe a phone call is in our future.

He texts Sebastian then, saying that the talk went well and goes back into the living room. Rachel's in the chair, movie menu on the TV screen.

Kurt sits on the couch and eyes her figure a few feet away from him. "Are you really going to sit over there?"

Her nose crinkles and Kurt rolls his eyes. "We weren't really going to do it."

"Fine," she sighs, still looking slightly uncomfortable as she moves to sit next to Kurt.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah," she says and he presses play.
