Hiya Guys, sorry it's been long. Uni stuff to sort out again.
Spoiler Alert: (well not a big spoiler) but when I start on season 4, I have already written a death scene for one of my characters in the mid-season finale, see if you can guess which one. (I wrote it as part of class assignment)
Disclaimer : I DO NOT OWN THE WALKING DEAD, but if i did, Daryl would so be mine!
Anyway, hope you enjoy,

Chapter 11: CDC Part One
"Daryl, Kelia watch the back," Shane shouted as we all got inside. It was empty, pristine and clean, but that didn't mean there wasn't any walkers. Looking around I watched the back cautiously in case any walkers were going to jump out at us at any minute. Kearon clung to my side, his small hand making fist in the side of shirt. Leo stood next to Daryl, his katana out ready for anything.
"Watch those doors," Shane called out again.
"Hello?" Uncle Rick called out, "Hello?"
There was a sound of a gun cocking which made us all turn around raise our own weapons and stared at the man. The man in question holding a huge AKA47 stared back at us all.
"Anyone infected?" He shouts out and Uncle Rick slowly lowers his gun.
"One of our group was," he paused breathing heavily, "He didn't make it."
The man took a few steps forwards assessing us all, I couldn't get a really good look at him between filtering my eyes back and forth to watch the doors behind us.
"Why you here?, what do you want?" he called back.
"A chance," Uncle Rick replied softly.
The man took a few more steps closer to our group, his footsteps light. I turned around paid full attention to the door, just letting my ears tune into the conversation.
"That's asking for an awful lot these days," his voice much softer now. Uncle Rick's just stared nervously, his breathing still very heavy from the deranged attack he had just moments ago outside. The man looked around our strange group, eyes and assessing each and every one of us. Kearon pushed himself closer to me, the man watching must be finally looking at us. I looked over my shoulder at him, and half smiled before focusing back on my task.
"You all submit to a blood test, that's the price of admission," he spoke.
"We can do that," Uncle Rick spoke, speaking for us all. The man came walking forward after lowering his gun, "If you have stuff to bring in do it now, cause once these doors are closed, they stay closed." He demanded, point to the doors I was watching.
Glenn, Daryl, Rick and Shane all decided that were going to quickly run a grab everyone one bag. Daryl, however, came back with three, that's when I remembered clothes were in a separate bag from the bag with a mixture of weapons and of course his own bag too.
The man swiped a card into a small lock on the wall and spoke into it.
"Vi, seal the main entrance and kill the power up here." The boys panted as the doors behind them mechanically shut and the shutters dropped.
Daryl looked at me, looked at Kearon and Leo, and then looked around at the others. I liked how he looked after us and the group, a very protective hunter, even if he would rather take an arrow first then admit it. Uncle Rick approached the man and nodded.
"Rick Grimes."
"Dr Edwin Jenner."
I huffed slightly, readjusting my grip on one of the bags. We all squeezed inside one elevator. It was awkward to say the least, everyone was still, not saying anything at all. Everyone was solemn at the events over the last few days, I didn't blame anyone being so quite. I was pushed between Daryl and Leo with Kearon tucked in front of me. I wasn't by no means claustrophobic but I was never a fan of tight spaces. Daryl shifted next to me, one arm right behind my back, the other clutching his bag and crossbow.
"Doctors always go around packing heat like that?" he asked, half glaring towards Jenner. I don't blame him, it did seem odd. It was almost distrustful, I raised an eyebrow.
"There were plenty left lying around so I familiarized myself," glancing back at Daryl with a half smirk.
He looked around the group, "You seem harmless enough," he paused glancing at Kearon and Carl, "Except you two, I'll have to keep my eyes on you."
I grinned slightly, watching Carl's face light up and I felt Kearon shift and puff his chest, they were so cute.
As we exited the elevator and walked down small hallways I felt Carol twitch, she looked around constantly. Even I was getting a bit twitchy, I was guessing we were underground as there were no windows, no real light. "Are we underground?" Carol called out to Jenner who was walking ahead a little.
"Are you claustrophobic?"
"A little,"
"Try not to think about it." He called back innocently.
I frowned, it was really hard not to think about now. I sighed softly, shifting the bag on my shoulder again, my side burning slightly from being over used. I hadn't had the wound checked today so hopefully there were some medical supplies here that could help. I glanced at Leo who was watching everywhere his hand relaxed by his side, but ready to take out his katana at any second, Kearon hugged near my side and Daryl walked protectively in front of us. I watched Uncle Rick and the others silently, just seeing them all walk awkwardly with Jenner was slightly funny contradicting the atmosphere.
Soon, we came into a huge dark room, you could barely see the many computers littered around.
"Vi, bring up the lights in the big room," Dr Jenner spoke, he walked down an aisle, he stopped as a circle of lights turned on, illuminating the huge spacious ….empty room.
Everyone stopped dead in their tracks, everyone survey the dead room. Well not dead, empty, but you get the picture. No one said a word, they stared, taking in the room.
Maybe everyone was in bedrooms?
"Welcome to Zone Five," Dr Jenner called over his shoulder as he made his way down towards the first ring of computers. Uncle Rick followed him down, "Where is everybody?" he asked.
I moved passed Daryl, walking further down past Lori and Shane to come stand next to my uncle.
"Y'know, the other doctors, the staff, where are they?" I asked, I watched Jenner stand in the middle of the computers, he looked around before turning back to us all.
"I'm it," he replied slowly. Everyone had come to join us. We stood in a small group away from Dr Jenner, Daryl coming to stand in front of me again, what was his deal?
"Its' just me here," Dr Jenner spoke, looking at us all, I looked up towards Uncle Rick who was looking towards the floor, "What about the person you were speaking with?" Lori questioned. "Vi?"
Dr Jenner smiled sadly, looking towards the ceiling slightly he called out, "Vi, say hello to our guest, tell them, 'welcome',"
It was quite when suddenly a female voice sounded over the speakers, a mechanical voice. "Hello guest, welcome,"
I sighed, so there really wasn't anyone. I glanced down at Kearon, who once again was hugging my side, and then towards Leo who was leaning against the rails, his hand grasp tightly into a fist, but lastly I looked around the group and looked at Daryl last, who was looking at me. I smiled, or at least I tried, it probably looked like a grimace.
"I'm all that's left."
Uncle Rick looked away from Dr Jenner, he looked towards me.
"I'm sorry," Dr Jenner added, but I could just tell from his tone of voice and his face that he really didn't mean it. Bastard.
He sighed and turned around before beckoning us into another room, it looked like a seminar room, only much smaller in size, on a whiteboard at the front there were thousands of scribbles. I say scribbles, it was just very very bad handwriting, so bad I couldn't make out a lot of words, the only words I could make out was 'everyone' 'airborne' 'virus' and 'infected' that didn't sound good at all.
Kearon sat quietly in my lap in front of Dr Jenner as he took blood from Kearon arm, Kearon flinched when the needle went in and began to whimper when the blood was being drawn.
"Shh," I whispered stroking his hair back, "I'm next, you should be worried about me," I said jokingly, but Kearon knew that there were some seriousness behind my words.
"Why's that?" Dr Jenner questioned, taking the needle and the vial of blood out of Kearon's arm, and putting cotton wool over the incision. I held the cotton to Kearon's arm while Dr Jenner sorted the vial. "Kelia faints every time she gets blood test," Leo supplied from the back of the room. Dr Jenner looked up at me as he took the cotton and put a plaster on Kearon's arm.
"Really?" I laughed and so did Kearon as he jumped off my lap, "Yeah, every time," Kearon squeaked.
"No I don't," I said adamantly, but I knew they were right. Every blood test I had ever had I fainted after, the doctors after a few blood tests thought there was something wrong with me, but nope, I just didn't like the sight of blood, my blood for that matter. Cuts and other womanly things were fine but when it was gushing with blood or being forced out of my body with blood test I fainted. Most of the time it was because of the noise. Kearon laughed, "Kelia your lying," I smiled and shook my head as Dr Jenner put the needle in my arm, "Well hopefully this time should be-" I was cut off when I heard the blood pouring itself into my arm.
"I'm going to be sick, then faint," and with that I threw up right next to Kearon, and promptly met the darkness.
Fuck.
Thanks for reading guys, and to tell you the truth, this is half the truth, i didn't faint when getting blood tests, but I threw up a few times and nearly passed out. I hate them. I have another one soon and the sound is what puts me off the most. Yuck.
Anyway,
READ AND REVIEW PLEASE.
Many Thanks,
Peace out: DemonHairedandBlueEyed.
