Broken: Chapter 11

Burt watched with pain in his chest how Kurt pushed his food around his plate. Kurt hadn't said much since he had returned home to celebrate Thanksgiving with him. After a quick hug, he locked himself up in his bedroom, turning on his music. When Burt threatened that he would have to prepare the turkey all by himself, Kurt responded with a soft "Okay."

That was nothing like Kurt. He knew how bad Burt was at cooking, so instead of cooking, Burt bought a turkey from the local butcher. It was a little expensive, but he didn't get to see his son through the week and he really missed having him over. He wanted to spoil him now that he was home for a few days.

Now they sat down for their Thankgiving dinner and Kurt hadn't eaten anything. This felt all too fimiliar to Burt and brought back bad memories.

November 23, 2010

The front door opened. "Daddy!" Before Burt could take in his surroundings, he had his arms full of Kurt, or in this case, a boy who looked like his son. He could feel his spine when he held his son close to his body.

Tears filled his eyes, taking in the scent of his only child. He hadn't seen Kurt in months. London wasn't exactly around the corner and Adam didn't like it when Kurt made calls so far away because of the expensive phone calls. The last two months, Burt had only been in contact with Adam, and their phone calls were always short. Burt asked how Kurt was doing, Adam always answered politely, but kept his distance. According to Adam, Kurt was busy with his studies and making new friends.

"I've missed you, Kurt," Burt whispered. He wasn't usually a man who showed his emotions so openly, but now he let his tears run free. He held his son at arms length so he could study him. He blinked his eyes. He had a hard time believing that the skinny boy with the miserable look on his pale face was his Kurt.

If it wasn't for the chestnut brown hair and blue eyes, he would say that he was holding a stranger. Kurt's cheeks were hollow, his arms thin and his brown hair lay flat on his head. The sparkle usually seen in his blue eyes was gone. He was wearing blue jeans, a white jumper and a scarf around his neck. The colors didn't match, which was enough to alarm Burt that something was really wrong. Kurt had a perfect sense of fashion. Once it was his passion.

He swallowed, trying to hide his shock. He really needed to talk to Adam about this.

"I missed you too, dad," Kurt quickly averted his eyes.

"How are you doing? I can see you aren't wearing hairspray."

Kurt shrugged, as if his hair wasn't important at all. Burt remembered a time that Kurt stood in front of the mirror perfecting his ciof all too well. He would often be late to school because he was taking so long. "Adam says it isn't necessary."

"He does? Since when do you listen to anyone?" Burt teased. To his surprise, Kurt merely shrugged, mumbled a "Come on in" and led the way inside. He quickly showed him around the big mansion. Adam wasn't there. Kurt explained that he still needed to do something at work, which was odd because it was Thanksgiving, time for friends and family.

Kurt showed him his guestroom. Burt whistled. "This room is bigger than my house."

"I know," Kurt's voice sounded flat.

Burt frowned. He never heard that tone of voice from his son. "Hey, Kurt, are you okay?" He reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder. Kurt immediatelly jumped away from him, screaming out in pain. He tripped over his own feet and landed hard on the ground. His body was shaking all over.

Burt was at his side immediatelly. "Kurt, are you okay? What happened, son? I just wanted to touch your-"

Kurt looked up, his eyes full of tears. It was clear that he was in pain. "I'm fine. Just don't touch me."

"I don't understand. Why can't I touch your shoulder? You were fine with touching just a moment ago when you hugged me."

"I was just startled. That's all, dad." Kurt got to his feet, his hands still shaking.

"Since when are you scared? You used to be-"

"I need to get started on dinner before Adam gets home, dad. You can take a shower. I'll call when dinner is ready." Kurt started walking towards the door.

"Do you need some help?"

Kurt stopped. He turned his head, a faint hint of a smile on his face. "I do remember your cooking skills, dad, so no thanks. I better do it on my own." He left.

Burt stared at the spot where Kurt disappeared. He had no idea what was going on. Kurt seemed to be so happy when he first Bonded with Adam, but now that Burt was visiting him in London, he could see Kurt was only a shell of the boy he once knew as his son.

Burt knew he would only be in his son's way, so he decided to take a quick shower before heading down to the kitchen to see if he could be of any use to his son. It was dinner time and his stomach was aching for some food.

He just had to follow the smell of the food in order to find the kitchen and watched as Kurt riffled through some drawers. "Need some help?"

Kurt squeaked, spun around and looked fearfully at the person who had just walked in. He immediatelly relaxed. "Oh, hi dad. No I'm fine."

Burt looked at him warily. "Are you sure? You look like you expected someone else? Someone you feared."

Kurt snorted, refusing to look at his dad. "Oh who would I be afraid of? You know me, dad. Nobody messes with the Hummels." He tried his best to smile, but failed miserably.

"Exactly! I know you! And I know you well enough to know that there is something seriously wrong here. Kurt, what is going on?"

Kurt averted his eyes to the ground, swallowing away the lump in his throat. He had been looking forward to his dad visiting for months. It was the only thing that kept him happy. Adam had warned him though. If he told his dad anything about the abuse, then he wouldn't survive Thanksgiving. He'd kill him and Kurt believed him.

He couldn't look at his dad, because everytime he looked at him, he just wanted to break down, tell him everything and beg him to take him home, back to Lima.

The sound of a car broke the silence and Kurt shot up. "Adam." He cursed. "He's here and the table isn't set yet."

"So? He'll wait. Like we all do. Kurt, I would like to have an answer."

"No time, dad," Kurt ran to the closet where they kept the silverware and began decking the table. His hands shaking.

The front door opened. "Kurt! I'm home!"

Kurt cursed again, almost tripping on his feet and ran down the hallway. Burt followed, confused about what was going on. He'd never seen Kurt like this.

"There you are. I –" Adam's eyes shot up when he saw Burt. His face softened, a polite smile on his face. "Mr. Hummel, so nice of you to join us for dinner." He shook Burt's hand. "How was the flight?"

"Long," Burt answered gruffly, keeping an eye on Kurt who was shaking from fear.

Adam turned his eyes back on Kurt. Burt saw how Kurt made himself as small as possible. "Is dinner ready, yet?"

"Almost, sir," Kurt's voice was barely a whisper. Burt could feel that he was about to cry.

"How long?" Adam didn't sound happy.

"Five minutes, sir."

"I'll take a quick shower. Make sure dinner is ready in five, Kurt." Adam stalked up to the stairs and disappeared.

Kurt retreated back to the kitchen. He looked stressed, mumbling to himself as he stirred the pots on the stove.

Burt leaned against the doorpost, folding his arms together. "That didn't look like a warm welcome." Kurt didn't react. "Kurt, what's going on here? When you met Adam, you looked like you'd won the jackpot. Now you look-" He swallowed. "Are you happy, Kurt?"

Kurt turned around, his face a mask. "Of course I am. He's my Dom."

"What I just saw, didn't look like love, Kurt. You looked afraid."

Kurt quirked an eyebrow. "Why would I be afraid?"

"I don't know. You tell me."

Kurt sighed. "Look, dad, I really want to finish dinner so if you don't mind?"

"I do mind! I've come all the way here, after months of not seeing my son, and here you are, miserable! Tell me what's going on. Is Adam treating you badly?"

Before Kurt could make any excuse, footsteps could be heard from the hall. A moment later, Adam appeared. He'd changed his suite into a black Oxford shirt and tight blue jeans. "Is it ready?"

Burt frowned. He wanted to say that only three minutes had past, but Kurt spoke up: "Yes, sir. Dinner is ready."

"Good. I'm starving." Adam took his seat and gestured for Burt to take the other seat. There weren't enough chairs.

Kurt served dinner and stood in the corner.

Burt knitted his eyebrows together. "Where is your chair, Kurt?" Kurt didn't answer, his eyes on the ground.

"Kurt doesn't need a chair. He prefers the floor. Don't you, Kurt?" Adam gave Kurt a side eye.

Kurt straightened his back. "Yes, sir."

Burt's jaw fell to his ankles when he saw Adam push a plate towards Kurt. Adam started to eat. "Your food is getting cold, Mr. Hummel."

Burt was too shocked to eat. He watched how Kurt pushed his food around his plate with a hungry glint in his eyes, but he wouldn't take a bite. "This is absurd. Kurt, you can take my seat."

A hard glint in Adam's eyes made Kurt stay put. "Kurt stays on the ground."

"NO! He's won't! You're treating Kurt like an animal."

"He is my Sub. I own him!"

"He is a living human being, and he is my son." Burt stood up, his chair falling to the ground with a loud thud. "And I am taking my son home with me. I'll report this as abuse."

Adam leaned back in his chair, folding his arms in front of his chest. "Oh really? And how are you going to do that? Without Kurt's testimony you don't have a foot to stand on. Kurt is not leaving me."

"Oh yes he is!" Burt was shaking with anger. He turned towards Kurt, who had curled himself into a corner. "Come on, Kurt, we're going home!" He made his way to the kitchen door, but when he noticed that Kurt hadn't moved, he stopped and turned around. "Kurt? Buddy, didn't you hear me? I'm taking you home."

Kurt was shaking visably. Tears ran down his cheeks. Burt walked towards him, but stopped when he saw the shaking got worse. "Kurt, it's me, your dad. Come on." He stretched his hand out.

"Don't touched me!" Kurt yelled. He crawled away from him.

"Kurt, don't be so ridiculous." Burt made another attempt, but Adam blocked his path.

"I think it's clear that Kurt doesn't want to go home. His home is with me now."

"You-" Burt narrowed his eyes, his hands clenched into fists. He saw the fear on Kurt's face. He put away his anger, his eyes on Adam. If looks could kill, Adam would be dead right now. "I don't know what you did to him, but I am getting him out of here. Even if it's the last thing I do."

"Good luck with that," A wicked grin appeared on Adam's face, his eyes challenging Burt.

Burt turned one last look to Kurt, who was still shaking in the corner, not daring to look at either man. "Do you hear me, Kurt? I'm getting you out of here. I'll be back as soon as I can." Then he turned around, grabbed his bags and left.

November 22, 2011, Present Day

Walking out that day was the hardest thing Burt had ever done. Leaving his son to that sick psycho. He felt like he had abandoned his own son. He felt like a failure. Kurt has come a long way since then, but now he knew that something was wrong.

"It isn't that bad, you know?" No reaction as Kurt stared at his food. Burt put his knife down. "Okay, I'll admit. I bought the turkey from the local butcher so you can safely eat it, Kurt."

Kurt looked up, a little dazed. "Hmm?"

Burt sighed. His son was sitting a metre from him, but he felt like he was miles away. "You haven't eaten anything."

"Oh, I'm not hungry," Kurt shoved his plate away.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, dad." Kurt rolled his eyes annoyed.

Burt swallowed. Suddenly he didn't feel that hungry anymore either. The last time Kurt refused to eat was because of Adam, a Dom. Burt got the feeling Kurt's current state has something to do with another Dom. A curlyhaired Dom who seemed to have a good heart. He clenched his fists in anger. If Blaine had done anything to Kurt, he was going to kill him with his bare hands. "Want to talk about it, Kurt?"

"About what?" Kurt's voice was tense.

"About whatever is bothering you. You know you can talk to me about anything."

"Nothing is bothering me," Kurt said. Before Burt could say anything else, Kurt's phone beeped, indicating that he got a new message. Kurt's eyes lit up, and checked his phone. He quickly put his phone away, his shoulder slummed.

Burt watched his son carefully. "No word from Blaine yet, huh?"

Kurt stiffened. "May I be excused? I don't feel so well."

"Kurt…"

"Please, dad, not now," Kurt said with a pleading tone in his voice.

"You are excused." Burt sighed heavily. Kurt jumped up and ran upstairs. He didn't leave his room the rest of Thanksgiving.

"Hi, Nick. Katherine McFadden here. Your parents gave me your phone number. I hope that's okay? I would like to meet you before we Bond. Are you free on December 20th? You can pick a place. Much love, your Katherine."

Nick stared dully at the text message. Katherine wanted to meet him. She already called him hers. He felt sick.

"Honey, what's going on?" Arms wrapped around his neck, soft lips on his cheek. "Who are you texting?" Jeff tried to take a peek, but Nick quickly put his phone away.

"Nobody."

Jeff pouted adorably. "You're keeping secrets from me. I don't like it."

"I couldn't keep a secret from you even if I wanted to, Jeff. You know me too well." The lie was out of his mouth before Nick could even think.

A faint smile appeared on Jeff's face. "Well, something is wrong. Not only with you, but with everyone."

"It is?"

"Kurt and Blaine are avoiding each other, Blaine doesn't sing anymore, and have you seen Kurt eat anything lately? I swear he might pass out."

"Well, what do you expect? Everyone's talking about the pictures in that stupid magazine."

"I really feel bad for Kurt." Jeff pouted, firmly locking his hand with Nick's as they walked to their class. "He needs some cheering up. We all do. And by we, I mean Thad, Trent, Kurt and I. And Sebastian."

"Sebastian?"

"Yeah, his bitchy attitude is getting out of hand, haven't you noticed? He's been suspended from two classes already. If he keeps it up, he'll be expelled."

"I didn't know you cared about Sebastian."

"I care about everyone," Jeff proclaimed. "I have the perfect plan to cheer everyone up."

Nick quirked an eyebrow, noticing the twinkle in Jeff's eyes. "You're not planning another pajama party, are you?"

Jeff cooed. "You know me so well."

"Jeff, last time you threw a pajama party, you almost set a fire, remember? If it wasn't for Blaine's quick action, Dalton would've burned down." Nick fake scowled at his boyfriend.

Jeff grinned, a dreamy expression was on his face as if he were thinking of good memories. "One of my best moments, I must admit."

"Jeff!"

"Relax, Nick. It'll be just Trent, Thad, Sebastian, Kurt and me. What could go wrong?"

"I have no idea why there are thousands of things running around in my mind right now about what could possibly go wrong if you five are left together," Nick muttered.

"Hey!" Jeff playfully slapped Nick's arm. "I am not that bad. It's just an innocent little get together. Just us Subs. We'll watch a movie and gossip."

Nick wrapped his arms around Jeffs waist and pulled him closer. "About me?" he whispered in his ear, sending warm shivers down Jeff's spine.

Jeff gave Nick a teasing smile. "Maybe." The bell rang. Classes were starting. "I need to go. See you later?"

"Sure. I'll pick you up for lunch." Nick gave Jeff a goodbye kiss and watched as Jeff skipped to his classroom. Nick grabbed his phone and started typing:

"Sure. Lima Bean, at 2 PM?"

He immediatelly got a response.

"Fine by me. See you then. Yours, Katherine."

Nick pocketed his phone, shaking his head, already annoyed that this Katherine was already claiming him by putting "yours" into her texts. She'll never be his. Jeff was the only one for him. An arranged Bond wasn't going to change anything about his feelings for the blond.

He turned around and walked to his own class, already missing Jeff.

Trent had been in a bad mood all Thanksgiving. His parents noticed, of course, but left him alone. They knew they shouldn't push Trent when he was like that. Trent felt guilty about ruining Thanksgiving, but he couldn't help it. His mind flashed everytime he closed his eyes to his latest encounter with Seth.

How could they win the cooking compition if they couldn't even be in the same room together? Seth was avoiding him. Trent tried not to let it annoy him, but he couldn't help it. Everytime Trent thought he was a step closer at unraveling the real Seth, Seth would push him away. Why wouldn't he let him in? What was he afraid of?

That he would get hurt? Well, everyone gets hurt sometimes. That's life.

The cooking compitition wasn't the only reason that Trent wanted to speak with Seth. The date that Seth would make a statement against his father had arrived. Robert Anderson would guide Seth through it, so Seth wouldn't be alone, but Trent wished he could be there for him. He wanted Lily to be safe as well.

He sat in the library with Thad and Kurt while Seth was at the police station, making his statement. He felt useless, hearing Thad and Kurt talk about Jeff's pajama party that would take place that night. Kurt was nervous. Thad tried to reassure him, but he and Trent remembered what happened last time. Jeff was really lucky that Blaine just happened to pass by.

The last class of the day was gym. After he took a shower, Trent wandered around the parking lot. It was snowing, and darkness was setting in. Everyone was at dinner, but Trent wasn't hungry. He had te know how it went with Seth's statement.

Finally, just when Trent was about to give up because he couldn't feel his fingers anymore because it was freezing, Seth's car glided into the parking lot. Trent ran to the car. "And?" He asked as soon as Seth has stepped out.

Seth hadn't expected Trent to be waiting for him. He hadn't had time to prepare himself for the beautiful sub and cursed his own body for reacting so strongly. His heart picked up speed and his palms were sweaty. Trent's blue eyes were captivating and left him speechles.

Trent nervously hopped from one foot to the other. 'Why won't Seth say anything? Why is he staring at me like that?' "How did it go?"

"They took my dad into custody. He's in a holding cell. The officers have started their investigation. You should've seen Mr. Anderson. He's amazing."

"I told you. I can't believe it! I'm so happy for you!" Trent couldn't hold back anymore and pulled Seth into a hug.

Seth tensed at first, but quickly relaxed when Trent's scent surrounded him, calming him down, making his Dom side almost spin with pleasure. Oh no, this can't be happening. Not with him. He didn't deserve someone like Trent.

Quickly Trent's arms felt like a web he couldn't get out of, suffucating him. He gently pushed Trent off of him. "Well, I didn't do much. I clammed up. Like I always do when things matter. Mr. Anderson did the talking. I was just there."

There, he said it. The truth was out there. Now Trent will also see how much of a loser he really was. He wasn't worthy of being a Dom. He was too weak. His father was right; he was a coward.

Trent stared at him in disbelief. "Didn't do anything? Seth, you told your story to Mr. Anderson so he could build a case against your father. It's only a matter of time before Lily will be in your arms. You saved your sister. You're a hero!"

Seth gaped at him. "So, you don't think I'm a loser?"

"Why would I ever think that? I think you're the bravest person I know. Not many people would dare to stand up against their demons and fight them off."

Seth couldn't take it any longer. The admiration in Trent's voice, his blue eyes that sparkled and his pink lips. He must've been freezing out here. "You're wrong, Trent. About me. I… I don't understand what you see in me."

Trent sighed, sticking his colds hands in the pocket of his jacket. "I don't understand why you think so low of yourself, Seth. You're smart, you can dance, you can cook, you have so many good qualities. You shouldn't let the words spoken by that monster get into your head."

Seth snorted. "I'm not worth spending time with, Trent."

"You're worth every minute."

"Trent, I-"His words were cut off by a finger.

"Shhh."

Their eyes locked. The cold air became so heavy that it was hard to breathe. Seth couldn't take it any longer. He had to taste those sinful pink lips. He leaned in.

Trent froze, afraid to move. He couldn't believe this was happening. Seth was about to kiss him. Never had he ever expected that Seth, his enemy, would be the one that'd give him his first kiss. He closed his eyes.

Seth's lips grazed softly against Trent's. The touch of his lips sent Seth's Dominate side in overdrive. 'Claim! Claim! Claim!' He felt Trent stiffen at first, but then he opened his mouth a little and Seth took immediatelly adventage of this, sliding his tongue inside.

Trent moaned, wrapping his arms around Seth's neck. He could feel Seth's arms around his waist, pulling him even closer. Warmth spread through his whole body, forgetting the snow and the freezing temperatures. His whole body was on fire. He wanted more and more.

Seth pulled back to take a breath. He looked at Trent. His face was flustered. He was also gasping for air. He saw the lust in Trent's eyes. The same lust he had seen in the many eyes of his former bed partners, but this felt different. Trent wasn't just any Sub to him. He felt stronger about him, even though he didn't understand it.

Was this what people meant when they spoke about love?

"Seth, wow. I-"

"I know."

"That was-"

"It shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry." Seth took a few steps back. He saw the hurt in Trent's eyes and surpressed his Domside that was screaming at him to take the Sub in his arms and claim him as his own. Seth couldn't let that happen, even if he wanted to. Trent deserved better. He deserved someone like boring Henry Ford.

Not someone like him. The only thing he was good at was destroying people's lives, hurting them, pushing them away. He didn't know anything about love. The only thing he knew was hate and pain. He couldn't drag Trent into this. He'd done enough already.

"What do you mean? I didn't mind, Seth. That was unbelievable! Didn't you feel it too?" Trent still couldn't wrap his head around what he was feeling. He only knew he wanted more. More of Seth.

Seth clenched his hands into fists. Yes, he felt it too. Yes, he wanted Trent too, but he just couldn't do this to him. He wouldn't be so selfish. "No, I didn't feel anything at all. The kiss was… avarage. You should practice some more, Trent." His voice was cold.

Trent stumbled back as if Seth has slapped him. "But-"

"I should go. Maybe I can find a Sub who's more worth my time." Seth turned his back on Trent and walked towards the entrance of Dalton Academy.

Trent blinked away his tears. He couldn't believe this was happening. He glared at Seth's retreating back. "You're a real dick, Philips! I hate you!"

Seth paused. Good, Trent hated him. Everything was back to normal. Now he just had to get the Sub out of his mind. He continued his way inside. He could hear Trent crying. He ignored his own aching heart. It was better this way, he tried to convince himself. Trent deserved better.

Sebastian hadn't had any luck. The weeks after he left Hunter he followed Ames everywhere, trying to catch the Dom in the act at breaking the rules. He even bought a recorder so he could tape it if Ames made a mistake, but the Dom kept to the rules. If he wasn't in a classroom, his dorm room or in the cafeteria, he was at the Football field, practicing.

It'd been weeks and nothing happened. Sebastian got bored and he really missed Hunter. Hunter texted him everyday asking him how he was doing, telling him that he was worried and that he missed him. Sebastian tried to be strong and keep his head up, but it was hard. The Sub in him really wanted to wrap his arms around his Dom.

He didn't feel complete without Hunter. Jeff had invited him to a pajama party. At first Sebastian refused because well, it sounded lame, but then he saw that Kurt was also going and he agreed. He was seriously worried about the other Sub.

Sebastian thought he was the only one who noticed that Kurt wasn't eating anything. That was until he saw that Blaine had noticed as well, but the Dom didn't look like his normal self either. He looked tired, like he had just given up.

Sebastian didn't understand why Blaine held back. Everyone thought he and Kurt were already dating anyway. It was already in the newspapers. It was only a matter of time before the press discovered Kurt's name and then all hell would break loose. They should just make it official so that, when the time came, Blaine could protect Kurt better.

Sebastian wanted to use the pajama party to convince Kurt to talk to Blaine. After another useless day of following Ames around to the foodball field, he headed back to get himself ready for the party. He was already running late.

"So, Jeff told us to meet up here," Trent looked around the dark corridor. He knew this part of Dalton. This corridor let to the dorm rooms of the unbonded Doms. Mostly they were on the Football team or did some other kind of sport. This part of Dalton always unnerved him. Maybe because the pheromones in the air were stronger than anywhere at Dalton.

Doms who sported a lot were known for their short temper, even though there hasn't been any incidents outside of the gym or field. Yet.

"Where are we?" Kurt felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He didn't like it here.

"This is where most of the unbonded sport Doms stay. They have their own corridor, so they won't be distracted by Subs walking by and can focus fully on their sport," Thad explained. He was wearing his Toy Story pajamas, handling a thick book in his hand. "Travis also lives here. At the end of the hall, room 404. Not that I know. I just-" he clenched his jaw shut.

Kurt and Trent stared at him in confusion. Thad blushed, averting his eyes to the ground. "That doesn't explain why Jeff wanted us to meet up here," Kurt said.

Footsteps came from down the hall and they turned towards the sound. Jeff appeared in blue silk pajamas with a flashlight in his hand. "Hi, guys."

Kurt let out a breath of relief. He hadn't even noticed that he was holding his breath. "Jeff, what are we doing here?"

"A few weeks ago, Nick and I were just fooling around when we discovered an empty room. Big enough for the four of us to sleep," Jeff explained. "Follow me." He turned around and led the way.

"Wait a minute, you want us to spend the night in a room where Nick and you had sex?!" Trent said disbelieving.

Jeff grinned, a teasing glint in his eyes. "It was really, really good sex."

Thad almost tripped over his own feet at hearing his friend talk so openly about his sex life. Trent scowled at the blond. "We don't want to know, Sterling!"

"Of course you do, Trent. By the way…" Jeff suddenly stopped so that Kurt bumped into him. He quickly apologized and stepped back on Trent's foot.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry."

"Where is Sebastian?" Jeff turned around.

"Sebastian? You've invited Sebastian? Why?"

"He looked lonely."

"Great. Have you invited us all along because we looked lonely?" Trent snapped.

"Kind of, yes. I call it Jeff's Lonely Hearts Club." Jeff grinned proudly about his selfmade club. Trent rolled his eyes, Thad blushed and Kurt tried not to giggle at the silly name. Jeff sighed dramatically, putting his hands on his chest. "Looks like Sebastian isn't coming. Let's go."

Before they could turn the corner however, a big figure loomed out of the darkness. Kurt froze. He recognized the Dom as the one who attacked him in the corridor leading to the gym. He wanted to run but his body refused to move.

"Well, well, look what we have here," Ames licked his lips. His dark eyes found Kurt and he knew Ames recognized him too. "Lost, boys?"

"Let us pass, Ames. We don't mean any trouble." Jeff brushed past him. Ames let him go. Trent and Thad followed him, but when Kurt went to follow, Ames grabbed his arm and pushed him against the wall.

"Thanks to you I have to do extra chores because someone complained about me being abusive!" Ames growled. "If you think I'll let you go after that, you're mistaken. You have no idea what I can do to you." Kurt whimpered loudly when Ames increased his hold on Kurt. His body shook with fear.

"Hey, let go of him!" Jeff tried to pry Ames' hands off of Kurt, but the Dom easily pushed Jeff away, who fell against Trent, both tumbling down and landing in a heap of limbs. Thad panicked. He had no idea what to do. He was frozen to the spot. Luckily he heard footsteps running towards them, and a moment later Sebastian appeared in teddy bear pajamas.

"What the-?"

Sebastian's eyes landed on a shivering Kurt in Ames' arms. He cried out in pain when Ames shoved Kurt hard against the wall. "Hey!"

Ames turned his head. His eyes narrowed when he saw Sebastian. "Smythe!"

"Let him go!" Sebastian demanded.

Ames smiled, a predatory glint in his eyes. "Not a problem. I'd rather crush you instead." He shoved Kurt into the closest corner. All air was pressed out of Kurt's lungs when his back hit the wall. His legs gave out and he slid to the ground.

Ames slowly walked towards Sebastian, his hands clenched into fists. "Smythe, thanks to you my reputation is ruined. No Sub even looks at me anymore!"

"Are you sure it's because of me and not because of your bad breath?" Sebastian countered. He heard Trent gasp at hearing the insult. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Jeff crawl towards Kurt, who was shaking, breathing heavily, close to a panic attack.

Ames lunged forward. Sebastian ducked away, placing his fist in Ames' stomach. The Dom stumbled unsteadily on his feet. His eyes darkened. His breathing heavy. "You think you're everything, don't you, Smythe? You can't beat me. I'm stronger than you. You're just a Sub, and I don't see your Dom around this time to save your ass. You're mine now!"

Sebastian lunged forward, but Ames grabbed his wrist before he could hit him. Sebastian's eyes widened in horror as Ames also grabbed his other hand, making him powerless.

A wicked smile appeared on Ame's face. "What? Got nothing to say, Smythe?" He grabbed Sebastian at his throat, squeezing all the air from his lungs. Sebastian gasped for air, but it was useless. Ames was choking him. He could see in Ames' eyes that he really meant to kill him.

Trent watched in horror as Ames choked Sebastian. He didn't know what to do. Thad also stood frozen on the spot. He looked to be in another world. When Sebastian groaned out in pain, Trent moved forward, grabbing Ames' arm, trying to release the hold he had on Sebastian's throat.

Ames easily pushed Trent away. Trent landed with a loud thud on the ground, but the movement caused Ames to loosen the hold he had on Sebastian. Sebastian immediatelly took his chance and kicked Ames in his groin, making the Dom double over onto the ground.

Sebastian quickly crawled away from him, gasping for air. He didn't get far as Ames grabbed his ankle and pulled him back. "Let me go!" Sebastian yelled, kicking out again, but Ames also grabbed his other ankle.

Trent got on his feet and jumped on Ames' back, trying to get him away from Sebastian. Ames growled out. Trent was launched from his back and landed a few feet away, in front of Thad's feet. "For God's sake, Thad! Do something!"

Thad was shaken out of his stupor. He watched in horror as Sebastian was trying to fight off Ames. Ames was too strong. Thad had witnessed enough of Travis' training as a boxing champion to see that Ames wasn't a good fighter. "I – I don't know what to do."

"It doesn't matter! Hit him or something!" Trent looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Oh, uh, okay." Thad walked towards Ames, his book tucked safely under his arm and stopped in front of Ames. "Hey."

Ames looked up. Thad swallowed when he saw the evil in his eyes. "What do you want, small little nerd?"

"I, uh… I just wanted to say um…. You, uh, really need to go, otherwise I'm calling the police!" Thad's hand went towards the phone in his pocket.

Ames saw the movement and didn't hesitate a moment. He came at Thad like a bull. Thad was frozen to the spot.

"Get down, Thad!" Trent yelled at the same time as Sebastian yelled that he should get out of the way.

Thad didn't know what to do. His body refused to move. Ames came at him at rapid speed, but to him it looked like he moved in slow motion. He raised the book in his hand and hit Ames on his head. The Dom went down like a rock.

He didn't move. His eyes were closed.

Trent, Jeff and Sebastian looked at Thad with a stunned expression on their faces.

"Oh my god. I killed him with Harry Potter," Thad squeeked, holding the book against his chest.

Sebastian crawled towards Ames and felt his pulse. "Sadly you didn't. He's just unconsious." He looked up at Thad, a glint of admiration in his eyes. "You saved me."

"Oh well, it was uh… you're welcome." Thad blushed, ducking his head shyly.

Jeff had barely noticed the fight. His attention was on the shivering Sub in the corner. "Kurt…" he reached out his hand to take the sub in his arms in order to calm him down, but Kurt crawled away. "It's me, Jeff. You remember me, right?"

Kurt's whole body shook from fear. He didn't recognized his friends anymore. The sounds of the fight brought him back to the past.

February 2, 2011

Kurt had cleaned the house until his hands bled and his back hurt. Adam liked his house to be spotless. Kurt yawned. He was so tired. He hardly ever ate and he was so skinny that all of his clothes were too big for him. Adam made him do so many chores a day that he couldn't get any rest. He still wasn't allowed to sleep in their bed and had to sleep on the hard ground. Kurt often thought of his father, remembering his promise to free him. Three months had passed and he heard nothing from him, which Adam was happy to gloat about, saying that not even his dad cared about him. That he was all alone.

Kurt glanced at the clock. He still had an hour before he should start making dinner. He really wanted to rest. He looked at the couch in the living room. It looked so warm and comfortable. Adam bought it a month ago. Of course Kurt wasn't allowed to sit on it. Adam was afraid he would ruin it with his filth.

He could lay down, even if it was just for a minute. His body begged him to rest. He laid down on the soft couch. As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell asleep.

"What the hell?"

Kurt felt himself being lifted off the couch, into the air. He landed hard on his knees. Fearfully, he looked up. Adam was standing next to the couch, his eyes filled with rage. "What were you doing?! I've told you that you're not allowed on the couch, you filthy dog!"

He kicked Kurt in the chin. Kurt fell down immediatelly, curling up into a ball. "P-please, sir. I was so tired. I just needed some sleep."

"Tired from what? You do nothing all day! I'm tired of your lazy arse!" Adam picked up a belt from a nightstand in the corner of the living room. "Pull down your pants, Kurt. I'm going to slap you till you pass out!"

Kurt shivered.

"Get up, now!"

Kurt tried to get up, but his legs couldn't hold his weight. His body couldn't take it any longer.

"You lazy, Fag!" Adam pulled him to his feet by his hair. Kurt screamed out in pain. Adam raised his hand.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and they both froze. Adam looked at Kurt in anger. "Who is that?"

"I have no idea. I'm not allowed to have visitors, remember?"

The doorbell rang again, this time it was longer. Whoever was behind the door, he really wanted to get in. "Kurt!"

Kurt couldn't believe his ears. He recognized that voice. It was his…

"Kurt, it's me, Burt! Open the door! I've arranged everything. You're free to leave with me. We're going back to Lima."

Kurt swallowed against the lump in his throat. He couldn't believe it. His father came back. He had done what he promised. He was coming to get him. He was free, but before he could answer, his mouth was covered by Adam's hand.

"Don't you dare answer! I'll do it!" Adam whispered in his ear. "You go upstairs. I'll tell your dad that you went on some kind of holiday or whatever. Get upstairs. Now!" He pushed Kurt towards the stairway and made his way over to the front entrance.

Kurt didn't move. His dad was behind that door. Adam was wrong. His dad loved him and came back for him. "No."

Adam froze. He slowly turned around. "What?"

"You heard me. I said no. I'm going with my dad to America. I am leaving you, Adam. I have had enough."

"How dare you stand up to me?!" Adam charged forward.

Kurt avoided him, rounded the couch and ran towards the door. He was tackled by Adam before he could reach the door. The salon table fell down with a loud thud when they crashed into it.

"Kurt!" Burt yelled, alarmed by the sound. He pushed against the door, but the door wouldn't bulge an inch. He heard a yell and glass shattering. "Kurt!"

His son was in danger. Adam was hurting him, maybe even killing him. What Adam didn't know was that you should never underestimate the strength of a father who was trying to get to his son. Burt threw himself against the door. The door crashed open.

His eyes landed immediately on Adam who was trying to choke the life out of Kurt. Burt didn't hesitate for a moment and tackled Adam off of Kurt. Adam screamed out in pain when his shoulder got dislocated.

"You better stay down if you want to live!" Burt threatened, letting Adam go and making his way over to Kurt. He swallowed when he saw the broken form of his son. He gently cradled Kurt to his chest. "I am here now, Kurt. Everything is going to be okay. He's not touching you ever again. I promise!"

"Dad?" Kurt's voice broke. Tears ran down his cheeks when he smelled the familiar smell of his dad. Burt held him tighter. For the first time in a year, Kurt felt safe. It was over. He was going back to America. He was free.

Finally.

November 30, 2011, Present Day

A hand touched his shoulder. "Don't touch me!" Kurt tried to make himself as small as possible. He was surrounded by figures he didn't recognize. "Please, just leave me alone!"

"Kurt, it's me, Jeff. Remember me?"

"It's no use, Sterling." Sebastian stood behind them all while Trent, Thad and Jeff were lingering over the shaken boy. "He's having a panic attack. He won't recognize you right now."

"How do you know?" Jeff turned his head towards Sebastian.

"Because I've been there too. I know what's going on inside his head."

Trent, Thad and Jeff stared at him in disbelief. They never would have expected that the strong willed Sub with the big mouth was once abused. Sebastian never talked about his past. "You know? You've been-?"

"Yes," Sebastian said coolly. "We can't help Kurt when he's like this. He's reliving the past."

"We can't just do nothing," Thad said.

"The only thing that can calm a Sub is a Dom, and that is only if Kurt trusts that Dom."

"But, Kurt doesn't trust anyone," Trent said. "Except his dad and he's too far away."

"That's-" Suddenly Sebastian froze. He had an idea. How did he not think of it before? Trent was right, Kurt's dad was too far away, but he wasn't the only Dom he trusted. "I'll get help. Stay with Kurt and don't touch him!" He turned around and ran away.

"Where's he going?" Trent arched an eyebrow.

Jeff shrugged, biting his lower lip nervously as he watched Kurt. He wished Nick was here. He could use his strength.

"What do we do about him?" Thad pointed at the unconscious Ames. "We can't just leave him there. What if he wakes up?"

"Someone should report it to the principal. There's no way that Ames will be allowed to stay after this," Trent said.

"Well, I'm not leaving Kurt," Jeff said, kneeling down next to Kurt, but leaving enough space between them to not freak the sub out.

"I'll go. Thad, you point that book at Ames, and if he moves, don't be afraid to use it."

"Believe me, I won't," Thad said, holding the book above Ames' head.

"I'll be right back." Trent hurried down the corridor.

Sebastian ran as fast as he could, his eyes flickering towards the doors he passed. He knew Blaine's room was here somewhere. He'd never visited Blaine before. Sebastian hoped that Blaine was in his dorm room and not out doing whatever he normally does. He was his only hope of getting Kurt out of his panic attack.

He knew that Blaine wasn't at his full strength due to his separation from Kurt, but he hoped that the Dom was strong enough to help Kurt. If not, well then, they were screwed.

Room 301!

Sebastian was sure this was it and he knocked loudly on the door. The door almost opened immediatelly revealing a tired looking Blaine. His black hair wasn't tamed by gel, and his dark curls sprang free. He was wearing pajama pants and a tight white shirt that hugged his muscles.

His eyes widened in surprise when he saw who was standing in front of his door. "Sebastian, what-"

"It's Kurt."

Blaine tensed, his Dominant instincts on high alert. "Lead the way."

Xxx

Trent turned the corner that led to the principal's office. He hoped that there was still someone there. He almost reached the office when he heard someone giggle and a familiar voice. He quickly ducked in a dark corner.

A moment later, Seth appeared, and he had a redhaired Sub attached to his arm. The Sub looked ecstatic and tried to kiss Seth.

Seth pushed him off. "I don't do kisses, remember George?"

"My name is Carlo."

"Whatever. I just want sex. Come on." Seth pushed the Sub into the corridor that led to his dorm room.

Trent swallowed, blinking against the tears that were threatening to fall. Seth wasn't kidding. That kiss really meant nothing to him.

Trent knew that Seth was only hiding behind his demeanor of a slut because he couldn't deal with his emotions, but it didn't hurt any less.

He turned his back and continued his way to the principal's office.

Jeff looked up when he heard footsteps. "Blaine!" He wasn't surprised that Sebastian had brought Blaine, but he didn't know if the Dom would come. Kurt and he weren't exactly on speaking terms at the moment.

Blaine quickly glanced at the body of Ames. Thad grinned proudly. "I hit him with my book. He didn't see it coming."

Blaine didn't answer, his eyes landed on the shivering form of Kurt in the corner. He was curled up and mumbling words that he couldn't hear. "Kurt." Blaine slowly walked towards Kurt and streched out his arm.

"He doesn't like to be touched," Jeff warned, but to his surprise Kurt didn't pull away from Blaine's gentle touch.

Suddenly, the air filled with Blaine's scent. "What is he doing?" Thad asked.

"He's hightening his scent to calm the Sub inside of Kurt," Sebastian explained. "It only works if they trust each other completely and if the Sub is willing to surrender to the Dom." Blaine placed his hand on Kurt's chest, he could feel Kurt's racing heartbeat. It was beating way too fast. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to reach the core of Kurt's submissive side so that he could calm him down.

"What's he doing now?" Jeff asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, Sterling. Blaine is reaching with his Dominant side to Kurt's very core. He's trying to calm him down and stop the panic attack." Sebastain's voice was soft, a smile on his face. Hunter did that to him too, the first day they met. He's the only one that Sebastian let close. He really missed Hunter.

Kurt felt a warm hand press on his shoulder. A fimiliar soft touch. He knew immediately that it was Blaine. He looked up through his tears. He recognized the shape of Blaine, but that couldn't be. Why was he here?

"Kurt."

His voice. It was Blaine. Kurt could recognize his voice anywere. The next moment he felt a hand on his chest. He felt a push. Not psycically, but mentally. That was weird. Someone was trying to get inside his head. Another push. More pressing this time.

Kurt pulled back.

"Kurt, it's me. Blaine." Blaine's voice was inside his head.

"Blaine? This can't be."

"You have to let me in, Kurt. You have to let me help you."

"H-how? I can't be saved. I'm broken."

"No, you're not. You just have to let me in. Trust me." Another push. Blaine was asking for permission. "Close your eyes."

For some reason that Kurt didn't understand, his Sub side was giving in, and he closed his eyes, giving over to Blaine's presence, his warmth and his hand.

Warmth spread through his whole body. He saw something dark. It wasn't scary though. It felt familiar. 'Blaine,' Kurt thought. 'How is this possible?'

"I've awoken a Trust Bond between us. It's only temporary and lasts for a few hours. I did it so I can stop the panic inside of you and bring you back.'

'H-how?'

'I could because you trusted me, Kurt. Your Sub side wants to surrender himself to my Dominant side. Normally I can't awaken a Trust Bond so fast, but your Sub side recognized my power and wanted to connect.'

Kurt swallowed. He felt light, as if he was flying through the air. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. He felt free. Powerful. Like he could do anything in the whole world. He hadn't felt so much power in his life and he knew it must be because of Blaine.

'How do you feel?'

Kurt's lips twisted into a smile. 'I feel as good as new. I feel… freed.'

'Okay, let's go then.'

'Do we really have to break the connection?'

'I'm afraid so. My body isn't at its strongest at the moment. I need to let go.'

'Okay, so, uh, how do we do that?'

'Close your eyes and I'll do the rest.'

Kurt obeyed. He felt Blaine pull away, the warmth leaving. His Sub side wasn't happy about it and tried to grasp at the warmth, but it slipped away. He gasped for air and opened his eyes. He was lying in Blaine's arms.

"Sssh, you're safe. He isn't here, Kurt. You're with me now." Blaine cradled him closer to his chest.

Kurt leaned in closer, feeling safe. "Don't let go, please."

"I won't." Blaine lifted Kurt up with one smooth movement and started walking.

"Hey, where are you going?" Jeff called after him. He wanted to follow, but Sebastian stopped him.

"Just let them be, Jeff. Blaine is taking care of Kurt. Trust his Dominant side. Kurt'll be okay."

Jeff swallowed. "How do you know that for sure?"

"Because Blaine loves him."

Blaine held the trembling boy in his arms. He stopped the panic attack, but Kurt was still visibly shaken up by whatever had happened. Blaine would make sure that Ames paid for what he had done, but right now he had to take care of Kurt first.

Blaine opened Kurt's dorm room without letting the boy go. He laid Kurt down on his bed, but before he could pull away, a hand clenched his white shirt. He stared at the panicked look in Kurt's eyes. "Please, don't leave. Stay with me tonight. I don't want to be alone."

"Of course." Blaine's eyes looked around the room to see where he could best sleep. The only place was on the floor.

But Kurt wasn't letting him go. He moved aside. "Will you hold me? I-" A pink blush covered his cheeks which made the sub, in Blaine's eyes, even more desirable. "I feel safe in your arms."

Blaine smiled. "Whatever you feel comfortable with." He laid down next to Kurt who immediatelly snuggled close. Soon Kurt's scent was surrounding him, making his Dom side growl with want. Blaine clenched his teeth together and supressed the sudden urge to claim. Now was not the right time. Maybe that moment will never come.

Kurt was so damaged by his past. It was a miracle he let Blaine in tonight. Which meant he trusted him. Blaine made a silent vow to never break Kurt's trust.

Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt's small waist and pulled him closer. Kurt's eyes were closed. He was embracing the comfort and warmth that Blaine was able to profide. He was beautiful. With his pale skin as soft as silk, he looked like an angel.

His angel.

Blaine held Kurt until he fell asleep, with a peaceful smile upon his lips. Blaine wished he had that smile on his face all the time.

If Blaine ever found out who hurt Kurt so badly in the past, he'd make sure every single bone in the body of that monster was broken.

Sebastian was on his way to his guestroom when someone grabbed him by his elbow and pushed him into a dark corridor. He didn't fight it. He knew it was Hunter as soon as he felt his touch. "Let me go."

"I just heard that Ames got expelled. He isn't allowed to go near the school grounds ever again."

"Disappointed?" Sebastian cocked his head to the side.

"I heard about what happened, Sebastian." Hunter let go of his arm.

"And all you can think about is now that your quarterback is gone, you're going to lose the championship, aren't you?"

"I also heard he tried to strangle you."

"And he failed. As you can see I'm still alive."

Hunter gave him a piercing look. Sebastian swallowed. He knew that look. He could never resist it and even now he could feel himself losing. "Are you okay?"

"Why do you care?"

"I love you."

"I hate you."

"I miss you."

"What about Ames?"

"I don't give a fuck about Ames or football, Sebastian. If Ames ever dares to set a foot anywhere near you, I am going to shred him to pieces. The only thing I care about is you! Now, you didn't answer my question. Are you okay?"

Sebastian swallowed against the lump in his throat. He rarely showed emotion. He wouldn't let anyone see his tears. Except for Hunter. He was his.

"No, I'm not," Sebastian's voice broke. Hunter immediately wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him closer. Now that he was safely in the arms of his Dom he finally let his tears run free.

After a half hour sulking because Jeff wasn't there, Nick decided to take a shower. He put his phone on his night stand. Katherine hadn't texted again. Nick was in the middle of undressing when someone knocked on his door. He frowned. Who could that be?

"Nick, it's me. Jeff." Jeff's voice sounded panicked sending Nick's protective side on the edge. He ran to the door and opened it. Before he could say anything Jeff threw himself in his arms. He was crying.

Nick wrapped his arms firmly around Jeff's small waist, closing the door with his foot and placing Jeff gently on his bed. "Jeff, what happened? Why are you crying?" Nick made a mental vow that whoever has upset his blond angel, he would destroy him.

"It's Kurt," Jeff sniffed. He took a shaky breath and told Nick what had happened. Nick clenched his fists.

"Where is Ames now?"

"The principal took him to his office. I think he'll get expelled."

"He better be. If he ever sets a foot on school grounds again, I'll destroy him," Nick promised. His eyes darkened. "How is Sebastian doing?"

"He'll survive. You know how he is. I don't know about Kurt though."

"What do you mean?" Nick frowned.

"It was really scary, Nick. You should've seen him. He closed completely off, shaking and curling into himself. Nobody could reach him."

"What did you do?"

"Sebastian got Blaine. It was amazing. Blaine calmed Kurt down within a minute. I still don't know how he did it though. Sebastian said Blaine created a Trust Bond between them." Jeff looked starstruck. "I didn't even know that was possible."

Nick smiled. "I think you don't have to worry about Kurt, babe. Blaine is taking care of him."

"Can I stay here tonight? I'd rather not be alone," Jeff asked.

"Of course. I was just about to take a shower. Make yourself comfortable."

"I will," Jeff replied cheekily, laying down on the bed.

Nick grinned, kissed his cheek and retreated to the bathroom. Jeff thought about the events of that evening, still thinking about Blaine and Kurt. He had no idea what had happened, but from the outside, it looked like magic. He also wanted a Trust Bond with Nick. He wanted to know how it felt. It must've been amazing. He had never seen Kurt so relaxed.

Jeff rolled on his side, his eyes landing on Nick's phone on the nightstand. He tensed. Nick's phone was right there. Nick was keeping a secret from him and never left his phone behind. This was his chance.

He reached out, but before he could touch the phone, Nick came back. He quickly retreated his hand as if he had been burned. Nick smiled at him. "Everything okay?"

"Sure, why wouldn't it be?"

Nick shrugged. His eyes wandered aroud the room. "I'm looking for my phone. Have you seen it? Oh there it is!" He quickly grabbed his phone, gave Jeff a quick kiss on the mouth, and reatreated again to the bathroom.

Jeff listened as Nick turned on the showerwater and let out a deep breath. He'd been so close at discovering Nick's secret!

Xxx

Kurt opened his eyes. Blaine was gone. He immediately sat up straight. His heart was beating fast. He took in his surroundings and noticed that he was in his own dorm room. 'Did Blaine really carry me all the way here?' "Blaine?"

Kurt stood up, too fast. The room was spinning in front of his eyes and he had to sit back down again. The door opened and Blaine came in, carrying a tray filled with food. Kurt relaxed immediately. "You're awake." Blaine placed the tray on the bed. "How are you?"

Kurt took in Blaine's clothes. He vaguley remembered that he wore those clothes yesterday. That meant Blaine hasn't had time to change yet. Suddenly he remembered that they had spent the night together. In the same bed. With Blaine looking all hot in that white tshirt that hugged his biceps perfectly.

"Kurt?"

Kurt was shaken out of his state by Blaine's voice and looked up. Blaine looked worried. "Oh I, I'm fine. Better now that you're here." He blushed. He didn't know where that came from, but he knew it to be true. After they had connected, he did feel better. "I wanted to thank you for what you did yesterday. I… I'm sorry I bothered you at all."

"Not a problem and you'll never bother me, Kurt," Blaine said sincerely. "You can talk to me about anything you want. You know that right?"

"I… Blaine, lately… I don't know … I'd like to be friends again. I really missed your…" Kurt hesitated, trying to find the right word to discribe his relationship with Blaine. "…friendship."

Blaine gave Kurt a soft smile. "I really missed our friendship too, and I'd like to be friends again." Kurt smiled shyly. "Now how about we eat something? I've picked enough for both of us."

Blaine had gotten up early to make breakfast for Kurt. He had permission from the principal who was absolutly furious about what had happened. Ames was expelled and wasn't allowed to ever set food on the school grounds again. 'He better stay away,' Blaine thought darkly. Blaine remembered the problems Kurt had with food from the first day he had met him. Kurt didn't eat anything without permission. So Blaine had brought two of everything, in the hope that Kurt would follow his example. Kurt had really become thin lately and that didn't sit well with his Dominant side. He wanted to take care of the Sub.

"Let's start with an apple, okay?" Blaine grabbed an apple and took a bite. To his satisfaction, Kurt followed. They ate in silence.

After eating breakfast, Blaine stood up. "I need to go. My classes will start soon. Don't worry though, I've talked to the principal and you're excused from your classes for the day."

Kurt's eyes widened at the idea that he'd be left alone. "I'll go with you."

"Kurt…"

"I don't want to be alone right now, please?"

Blaine sighed. He couldn't say no to those pleading blue eyes and sweet voice. "Of course. I'll wait outside so that you can get dressed."

Kurt smiled. "Thank you, Blaine. Again."

Blaine's lips twisted up. "Not a problem." He moved towards the door when he suddenly remembered the Christmas ball. "Oh, Kurt?"

"Yes?" Kurt raised an eyebrow looking at him curiously.

"I know you're going with Travis to the ball…" Blaine shifted his feet nervously. "But I was wondering if you could save one dance for me?"

Kurt smiled brightly. Blaine's heart skipped a few beats at the beautiful sight. "For you, always."

Blaine felt his legs go weak and he quickly left the room so that Kurt could change.
