can you catch me fallin' for you?

Impulsive.

The word that would perhaps do justice in defining her would be impulsive. For most of the time, Ellie never mulled over her sudden ideas. She simply acted upon them without thinking, because according to her "consequences be damned" and then she would grin cheekily as Vitte would roll her eyes in utter exasperation.

But tonight, she was thinking over her decision of letting Cat Noir be a bit too close to her as her civilian self. There was a great risk that he might even uncover her identity, and the next moment she'll be Paris' jail, but even with such high stakes Ellie didn't care. She was impulsive, wasn't she? This happened to people like her all the time.

Right now, she was more focused on how Cat Noir's warm, gloved fingers were knotted with hers as they climbed atop her house's rooftop, the night breeze so cool on her skin as she stood there in her pajamas, completely ignoring the way how Vitte pressured the back of her neck with her tiny, golden paws.

"This is a terrible idea, Ellie." She could almost hear Vitte growl in her ear.

The American rolled her eyes, then blinked once, a frown curling her lips downwards as warm fingers unwrapped themselves from hers, and she simply cocked a red brow as Cat Noir awarded her with a toothy grin, turning his back to her before crouching low on the rooftop.

Ellie gazed down at the black clad hero, perplexed. "What're you doing?"

"Get on my back," he chirped, still sitting down. "It'll be easier for me to carry you this way."

A smirk quirked her lips, but she swallowed the flirty comment since, after all, this wasn't Cheetah. This was Eleanor Steele. And Ellie did not flirt with cute, leather clad blond boys at all. With a slight hum in acknowledgement, the redheaded teen stooped downwards, petite arms circling around the blond's neck, chest pressing against his back as she patiently waited for him to hook his elbows around her knees.

Instead, black gloved hands clasped together, right beneath her behind as a makes shift seat for her and Ellie flushed pink, then relaxed because Cat Noir was a most definitely a flirt, but never a pervert.

"Ready to go, fair maiden?" He inquired happily, already up on his feet and the girl holding on his back gave a small hum in answer, dropping her chin on his shoulder.

Emerald eyes twinkled, and Cat Noir darted ahead, the rooftop disappearing beneath his boots and Ellie held her breath, arms tightening around his neck as they bounded over a gigantic gap between houses.

He cackled loudly, the night breeze fresh and filled with the sweet scent of flowers and yet Ellie found herself almost melting into the expensive cologne wafting off his magical suit, her jaw clenching as his cheerful laughter made her stomach perform summersaults she never knew it could do.

Paris was different from New York. There were barely any tall buildings, let alone a skyscraper but there stood small, delicate and pretty houses, Cat Noir's feet thumping down the red tiled roofs, his chortles bright and breezy, making the ends of Ellie's lips to tug upwards into a wide happy smile as she embraced his back tightly.

"You liking the view?" Cat Noir asked, taking a giant leap between buildings.

Ellie propped her chin on his shoulder, continuing to smile as she brushed her cheek against his. "Yeah!" She laughed heartily, not catching how Cat Noir blinked in surprise, green eyes peeking at her from the corners of his black mask.

His gaze warmed, a grin splitting his lips as he ducked his head slightly, emerald eyes sparkling with mischief. "Hold on tight!"

Half tempted to ask why, Ellie obliged, then gasped in shock as he kicked at the ground, bounding in the air so high and she ducked her head against the back of his neck, holding onto him like a lifeline as his feet hit the Eiffel tower's metal, running up the enormous structure with quick, practiced ease, going higher and higher before he halted, grinning broadly as he tipped his back.

"You can let go now." He announced with a soft smile.

Her feet touching the ground, Ellie released him, breathing heavily as she bent ahead, resting her hands on her knees as she inhaled deeply. A hand landed on her back, patting as Cat Noir gazed worriedly down at her.

"You okay?"

She nodded, waving a hand. "Oh, I'm great. Just not used to clinging onto people in rooftop running."

The boy cracked her a nervous grin, rubbing the back of his neck as Ellie finally straightened up, taking in her surroundings, biting down on her bottom lip as she neared the tower's railing, cupping the cool metal in her hands as she peered outwards.

Paris' bright lights winked back at her, the air silent and pleasant as she folded her arms along the metallic railing, letting the breeze tease through her red curls straying out from her messy ponytail. She felt a presence step beside her, Cat Noir mimicking her posture as he gazed ahead as well.

The two stood in silence, shoulders barley brushing before Cat Noir laughed awkwardly, glancing sideways as he sheepishly rubbed his neck. "Sorry that this isn't, y'know, like a tour much."

"It's all good," Ellie answered smoothly, gray eyes fixed on the city of love before them, the air scented with sweet flowers and perfumes as she shifted slightly, turning her head to shoot him a soft smile. "I knew you just visited me so that I won't become an angry akuma cause of what Bourgeois said today."

"What?! I-I didn't—"

"You don't have to lie," she bounced her shoulders nonchalantly, sighing loudly as she draped herself against the railing, the sparkling golden anklet around her ankle suddenly a heavy weight on her foot. "I'm used to being called out like that."

Cat Noir frowned visibly, reaching out slowly with a hand, but halted as the girl shifted once more, steely gray eyes glimmering with mischief as she smirked, drumming her fingers against the railing.

"How high are we anyway?"

He glanced downwards, the few people on the ground looking like tiny ants. "Pretty high. Why're you asking?"

His golden brows knitted in confusion when she shot him a toothy grin, grabbing onto the railing and his throat went dry, an alarm ringing off in his head as she leaped outwards, pushing herself away from the railing.

Away from him.

Rushing air whistled in her ears, Vitte's scream ringing around as Ellie rolled her eyes, continuing to free fall towards the ground, too calm for a person falling to her death.

"Ellie!" Vitte screeched in her tiny, high pitched voice. "You need to transform!"

As always, the redhead ignored her kwami's advice, closing her eyes and letting gravity tug her downwards as she patiently waited, not even wincing as Vitte's claws dug deep into her skin.

A body collided with hers suddenly, arms swooping beneath her knees and neck as they were sent hurling sideways. Cat Noir grunted as he dug the heels of his black boots into the wet grass, coming to a screeching halt before he sighed in relief, cat ears drooping on his head but he blinked, glancing down at the girl in his arms who laughed, throwing her head back in sheer mirth.

"That wasn't funny!" He snapped, anger in his tone. "You-you could've died—"

"But you caught me~" Ellie grinned cheekily, gently poking the golden bell around his neck and Cat Noir frowned, ignoring the small jingle in the night air. "I can't believe you actually did that."

She shrugged shamelessly, rubbing her head along his chin. "What's life without a little thrill, mhmm?"

He narrowed his eyes, parting his lips for a long speech about being careful and that how thrill could be very dangerous if you pulled stunts like that, but he paused as Ellie yawned loudly, nuzzling his neck and he rolled his eyes, a smile touching his face as be bolted forward, a single push throwing him towards the rooftops.

"That was pretty fun."

"I guess it was. Except for the part where you jumped off the Eiffel tower. That wasn't fun at all. I almost had a heart attack when you did that."

Ellie laughed, shaking her head as Cat Noir grinned goofily, setting her down once they reached the safe premises of her messy room. But she blinked, startled as he clasped a hand around her arm, and she glanced upwards, steely gray eyes crossing forest green and Cat Noir grimaced, standing before her.

"Promise me you won't do dangerous stunts like that again."

Ellie gazed at him silently, mulling over his words before she rolled her eyes. "I swear I won't do anything like that." She promised, Cat Noir grinning boyishly in answer and not knowing about how she had her fingers crossed behind her back.

"Well, I don't want my only fan in whole Paris dying, okay?" He said jokingly.

She giggled, nodding in understatement, but chewed the insides of her cheeks once his hand left her arm, and she quickly reached out, startling him as she clasped her hand with his once more.

"Wait!" she exclaimed, digging her free hand into the pockets of her purple pajama shorts.

Cat Noir watched in fascination, cocking his head to the side as she presented a crumpled paper ball before him, a soft blush dusting her freckled cheeks as she looked sideways. "You can keep this."

He curiously plucked the paper ball from her grasp, gently pushing it open and felt a wide smile touch his face upon finding his sketch drawn across the crumpled paper. He pressed the paper against his chest, right atop his heart and smiled warmly.

"Thanks so much."

"You're welcome," she muttered, releasing his hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "You'll visit again, right?"

"I hopefully will," he answered honestly, and Ellie felt her breath hitch, heart skipping a beat as soft gloved fingers slid across her cheek, pushing behind another lock of hair away, her toes curling against the carpeted floor for the hand didn't withdraw, instead caressed her cheek affectionately.

Silver eyes peeked upwards through thick lashes, clashing with deep green ones and Cat Noir brushed the tip of his nose against hers, warmth pooling in his chest as he saw her almost melt against his touch, his gaze dipping downwards, chapped lips almost ready to be claimed by him as his eyes slid shut, his sensitive ears picking up the way her heart was thundering against her ribcage.

But then bright, bluebell eyes flashed across his mind, framed by a red mask and soft blue hair weaved between his finger, scent of freshly baked goods returning to him suddenly and Ellie's eyes snapped open, her chest tightening when Cat Noir took a sudden step back, swallowing hard as he coughed in his fist.

"Er, uh, I should be leaving now." He said abashedly, albeit the way his face had been flushed pink..

Ellie steeled her slipping emotions, forcing a smile as she gave a firm nod. He smiled briefly, then turned on his heel, diving out from her open window.

With the black clad hero finally gone, Vitte shot out from under her wielder's messy hair, hovering in the air as she scowled at the window, then turned her frosty glare to the numb redhead standing in the room.

"I cannot believe you actually—" The kwami instantly paused, watching with worried eyes as Ellie exhaled sharply, slumping down on the floor.

Vitte hovered above her head, frowning deeply. "Ellie, are you okay?"

Silence answered her, so the sprite moved closer as the girl tipped her head forward, a curtain of scarlet hair falling over her eyes as she clutched her chest, failing miserably in calming her painfully beating heart as she barked out a bitter laugh, shaking her head.

"I'm not sure if I'm okay or not."

EXTRA: AdriEllie Office!AU.

Thrusting a hand through his golden locks, he tapped his foot against the marbled floor impatiently as he watched another man step into the room with a dejected look on his face. Adjusting his green tie for the umpteenth time, he jerked in his seat when a hand landed on his shoulder.

Pinning him with an amused look, the woman pushed her glasses up her nose a bit. "Miss Steele will see you now, Mister Agreste."

Adrien, decked out in a black blazer and formal pants, smiled apologetically, standing up from his seat in the waiting room and shuffled closer to the office room, reaching for the doorknob and pushed the door open. As he stepped inside, he surveyed the enormous fully furnished room. The long, glassed windows took up a whole wall where a black table was placed, and he curiously gazed at the back of a leather chair facing him.

A hand waved from behind the turned chair, a feminine voice following suit. "Just take your seat."

Grip tightening on the handle of his briefcase, Adrien obliged, stalking near the chair and seating himself down as he placed his file on the table's sleek glass. "I'm here to apply for the job." He began, already pulling his papers out. "I've heard you're looking for a hardworking—"

The chair across him finally swiveled around, stormy gray hues greeting him and he paused, staring as the redheaded young woman before him clicked her crimson nails on the table, raising a brow on his blunt stare.

He blushed slightly, holding out his file. "You can check out my CV from this."

A smirk curling her lips, she snatched the file from him, ignoring his startled look as she placed it atop a stack of other files before she propped an elbow on the table, resting her cheek on her knuckles as she began smugly. "Aren't you that super model from those magazines?"

Adrien nodded, reaching behind and rubbing his palm along his neck. "Yeah, but I'm not a model anymore."

"Really?" His soon-to-be-hopeful boss mused loudly, "why'd you leave? It seemed like a perfect job for a cute guy like you."

She called me cute. He brushed the thought off quickly, clearing his throat. "I wanted to get out of my father's shadow so—"

"Say no more!" The woman held out a hand, the smirk firmly plastered to her face. "You have the job, Mister Agreste."

He blinked in utter surprise, then smiled thankfully. "Adrien is just fine, Miss Steel—"

"Feel free to call me Ellie," the young woman cut in, leaning ahead on her folded arms set on the table, scarlet curls tumbling down her shoulders, and Adrien flushed brightly, his eyes growing round as she pressed the tip of her heel against his ankle, gradually dragging it up his leg.

"Wanna tell me a little more about your past career, cutie?"

Adrien sputtered incoherently, and Ellie giggled loudly, smirking flirtatiously as she winked his way, already dialing on her phone to call Alya and tell her that no one shouldn't disturb her and her new secretary for at least an hour.

"We have a lot to discuss about, Mister Agreste. How 'bout we move to the couch, mhmm?"
