I don't own Phineas and Ferb
Normal POV, Warehouse the next day
Django and Adyson were keeping watch waiting for Jenny's return. Isabella and Ginger sat at the table while Michelle looked through the files on the laptop. Buford paced back and forth impatiently before complaining, "I can't stand all this waiting, how long until she gets here?"
"It could be several minutes, an hour, or could be another day, I'm not sure Buford. She has to be careful especially since the Normbots are still out looking for all of you." Django replied as he stared out the window.
"I wonder what was so important that Irving requested a meeting right away." Michelle asked, as she sat at the table.
"Must have been something important, his message seemed pretty hurried; as though he found the 'find of the Century'." Django replied, he continued to look out the window.
"Probably some plan or weapon, one that could wipe out the resistance in one move." Michelle replied as she continued to look through files on the laptop.
"That's comforting." Adyson said as she continued to look outside.
"Michelle?" Isabella asked.
Michelle looked towards Isabella who continued, "If you hated Doofenshmirtz, why did you join the army anyway?"
She sighed angrily and replied, "I didn't join, I was drafted. The bots came to my home and took me from my family."
"Wait, so the bots just came in and took you?" Ginger asked.
"The Normbots didn't even bother to knock, they burst through the door said I was, "Selected for service". My mother tried to shield me from them but I was taken from her arms; my father was beaten as he tried to get me back." Michelle recalled as a lone tear escaped her eye.
"Why would the bots take you when you're only a teenager like us, surely an adult would be better suited for the army?" Adyson pointed out, looking towards the group.
"There are a majority of adults in the army; they joined willingly so that they could get special privileges and power in Doofenshmirtz's empire; like Raymond for example. However most of them are cold and heartless willing to do anything to get the job done. Though Doofenshmirtz knew that though these adults were loyal to a certain extent, so he created a youth army; kids that would be taught from an early age to serve Doofenshmirtz, to their last breath.
"Where were you taken?" Ferb asked.
"I don't know but while we were there, the guards made us watch and listen to propaganda throughout the day; our education was on how to best serve Doofenshmirtz and be good citizens or face the consequences."
"What consequences?" Ginger asked.
"If we denounced anything we were put in a solitary cell for a day with no food or water. If we did something wrong we were whipped, if we were caught trying to escape or contact someone outside the facility we would be executed. Hell, sometimes the guards would beat us just for the heck of it."
Michelle then stared at the table and continued, "Ten kids in my group… died during our stay there. A lot of the kids just accepted the propaganda and became obedient to any order; they had no will left to oppose the system. I'll never forget those days."
"We all have days that we wish to forget, but they're the days that define us; proof that we can meet the future head on." Buford said out loud.
"Who did you quote?" Adyson asked.
"No one, I made it up." He replied.
"You're a poet?" Michelle questioned.
"What? I can do other things besides being a simple brute with a craving for nachos." He replied.
"I think I see Jenny." Django said as he peered outside.
The team hurried to the windows.
They could see Jenny walking towards the warehouse, she was clutching her arm; a look of pain on her face. Django immediately went to the door and unlocked it before going to his sister. As he escorted her back in, Michelle shut the door behind them and locked it before grabbing a medical kit.
"Jenny, are you okay? What happened?" Django hurriedly asked as he examined his sister's arm.
"I'm fine, just a graze wound, bots got the jump on me and hit me as I ran." She replied calmly as she sat down at the table. She saw Isabella and the team then said, "This is a surprise, though I'm going to guess that you stirred up the bots?"
"Sorry, apparently there is another Control Center that we didn't know about. Now the bots are ticked off about the remodeling that we did at the old one." Isabella replied with a smirk.
Michelle came over and started to tend Jenny's wound then asked, "What did Irving need to tell us that was so important it couldn't wait?"
"Phineas and Katie have been captured." Jenny stated.
Isabella and the team looked shocked; Isabella and Adyson immediately looked at each other. Isabella then said, with hesitation, "Phineas and Katie are… alive."
