Thank you to all who have stood by me while I write. I just found out I have cancer and will need surgery to remove it, so I will have some time to write coming soon. Thank you again and please review.

Draco slowly opened his eyes and turned towards his mothers voice.

"Morning mum." He answered groggily. Why am I so warm? He wondered. Narcissa continued to stand there smiling at him he turned his head only to realize he was not alone in his bed. Then he remembered Hermione had fallen asleep in his room. It was then he realized that his arms and one leg were wrapped around Hermione so tightly that neither one of them could move. Her hair tickled his nose and she started to stir. He was unsure as how to handle this. She would not like the position they were in.

"This isn't what it looks like." He tried to explain, but his mum stood there smiling at her sons predicament. "She had a nightmare and came in to watch the TV with me and fell asleep, I didnt want to wake her. I have no idea how I ended up like this." And with that he tried to move his arm. Hermione started to wake and to his surprise she grabbed his arm and pulled it back over herself and as she did that she scooted her body back further against his. Okay maybe she will like the position we are in. He thought. It was then that his slight amusement turned into total mortification. He realized that she was pressed against his 'morning wood', so to speak. And even if he could wriggle away from her his mother was standing there to add to his total embarrassment.

"Mum, can you go so I can handle this?" He managed to croak out as she rubbed her bum against his sensitive are again. He didn't think he could stand it much longer, and he didn't think he'd ever been this hard in his whole life. Of course he'd never slept in the same bed with anyone else either.

"Mum, please. Just go." He managed to grunt out as Hermione rubbed against him again, the thin fabric of her pajamas not doing much to disguise the heat emanating from her body.

Narcissa chuckled as she left the doorway of his room, and when she entered the kitchen Regina smiled at her before saying "I told you so."

"Yes, it seems they are opening up to each other as you predicted." Narcissa whispered to smirking woman. "But we mustn't press them together, whatever happens should be natural."

Regina nodded in agreement when Max walked in from the garage.

"Are you meddling already Gina?" Max laughed as he entered.

"Me meddling?" Regina feigned innocence.

"Yes you, the great meddler. " he replied. "Good morning ma'am "

"Oh please call me Cissy." Said Narcissa.

"Good morning Cissy. Is there anywhere you require to be driven today?" He asked.

"No I don't believe so. But maybe the kids do."Narcissa relied.

Max headed down the hall.

"Oh, Max wait just a moment, the kids were having a bit of a lay in this morning. Don't bother them just yet."

"Ok, fine. " he said coming to a complete halt before turning around grumpily and heading back to the kitchen "is there any coffee?" He asked.

Meanwhile in Draco's room things were getting awkward fast. He had managed to remove his arm, leg and groin from against Hermiones body and was getting off the bed when she woke up.

She looked around groggily, her hair a wild mess.

"Morning." She said in a slow lazy way that made Draco's hard on twitch. "I stole your bed last night didn't I?"she asked in horror.

"Just half of it. It's fine. Really." He was half turned away so his morning problem would not become evident to her.

"Did you go sleep in my room or..." She stuttered. "You didn't sleep in that chair all night did you?" Her mortified voice asked.

"Oh no, I was fine. I told you, you only stole half the bed. I had the whole other half to myself."

"We slept in the same bed? " she asked loudly.

"Yes, but nothing happened." He told her. "I swear, we just slept." He thought he was being reassuring.

"Why not? Am I not pretty enough? Or is this still about blood you twitchy little ferret?" She screamed loudly.

"No, because I would never take advantage of a sleeping girl like that. Geez, I'm not an animal, Hermione." He replied, hurt.

"No it's because a nerdy little bookworm like me could never turn you on right?

"No, no."he said again. "Really, I know what you think of me. But that's really not how my mother raised me. Besides you know that I am shy about that stuff anyway."

"Yeah, shy, right, only kissed one girl, sure." Hermione taunted.

"What has gotten into you today? Was it your nightmare about my father?"ha asked.

"No, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just used to being not good enough. I shouldn't have shouted or taken it out on you." She said genuinely.

"It's alright, besides I'm not all that innocent. I woke up this morning pressed up against you, my arm wrapped around you and this raging hard on right up next to your bum."he told her while he turned to face her, showing the evidence clearly.

She raised her eyebrows in suprise.

"impressive." she said but he wasnt sure if she was referring to his honesty or his hard hoped it was the latter, just then Max entered the doorframe and asked "Would either of you like to go anywhere today?"

"i was planning on spending the day on our beach meeting some people, Draco, will you join me?" she asked hopefully.

"of course." replied Draco.

" But Max, I do need to go to the drugstore first. Is there one closeby?"

"Miss the closest one is a few miles away, I will drive you when you are ready."

"Ok,"she said " give me a few minutes, ill meet you in the kitchen. He nodded and walked away.

"What is a drugstore?"Draco asked her.

"It's a store where you can buy medicines and things. Would you like to come?"

"No thank you." He replied "Are you Ill? What do you need medicine for?"

"I'm not ill, I need sunscreen before we hit the beach. "

"Sunscreen?"he wondered out loud.

"It's like a potion that keeps your skin from burning in the sun."

"Muggles make it?"he asked.

"Yes, they are quite clever when it comes to things like that. You will need some for sure with that pale skin of yours you must burn quite easily."

"Nope." He replied popping the p in nope.

"I'll get you some just in case."she said before walking across the hall to her own room to change."be ready for the beach when I get back." She yelled across the hall before slipping into her new bathing suit top . She chose to wear the bikini style bottom instead of the skirt since she was putting on a bright yellow sundress to go to the store. She ran into her bathroom and tried to tame her hair like Cindy had shown her but gave up and swept it up into a high ponytail with a brightly colored flower clip. She found a pair of white flip flops in her closet and put those on quickly before applying a quick smear of pink lip gloss. When she reentered the hallway Draco was just standing there like he was waiting for her.

"What should I wear?"he asked nervously.

"The blue board shorts and the white tank top."she replied confidently. She met Max in the kitchen and headed towards the garage where three beautiful cars sat waiting to be driven.

The first was a metallic blue Mazda MX-5 Miata convertable with a tan leather interior. The second was a large white SUV with tinted windows, the third was a black BMW sedan.

"Which would you like to take?"Max asked her.

" I don't care which one." She said. "I'd just like to get back quickly so we can get a good spot on the beach."

"The entire beachfront behind the house belongs to you. We've had problems keeping local teenagers off of it recently. But I'll keep watch and make sure no one usurps your spot."he said proudly as he got into the drivers side of the white SUV. Hermione got into the passenger side before replying,

" thank you very much Max, I overheard some kids last night, one of them, a girl, was warning a boy not to trespass on the beach again for fear of being arrested. I don't think they will be a problem, I'm sure they will realize that the house is no longer vacant."

"Perhaps." Max said thoughtfully."I was growing rather tired of the nightly confrontations with them." He opened the garage door with the push of a button and smoothly pulled the massive vehicle down the cobblestone driveway and onto the street. There were a lot of people walking about on the sidewalk, the majority were her age, she guessed. They were all headed towards what looked like a wide open pathway between two houses on her street.

"Where does that lead Max?" She asked.

"That is the boardwalk that leads to the beach public access, although it's not really public, you have to live in this neighborhood to use it, or be accompanied by someone who lives here. It's rather nice there's a small souvenir shop and a few food and drink vendors set up right there. I think you and Master Drake will be very happy here."

This made her smile.

"I sure hope so Max. Things here can't be worse than at Hogwarts. So I'm going to enjoy myself as much as possible"

"Good for you Miss Emily..." Max started

"Just Emily please, god that is going to take some getting used to."

"You will."he reassured her.

She smiled again as they pulled into the parking lot of a drugstore called Walgreens. He parked near the door and indicated that she should go in without him. She got out of the car and entered the store. It was quite a bit larger than the drugstores in her small suburb. They were mainly mom and pop operations. She wandered for a bit before an employee asked her if she needed help finding something.

"Yes, please. I am looking for the sunscreen."

"Right this way." The older lady replied. " are you here on vacation?"she asked.

"Oh, no I just moved here with my godmother and her son."

"Where are you from?"she asked harmlessly

"Lincoln, England. Very small town population 93,541 well 93,540 now that I'm gone."she said laughing. Luckily she had done some research on where she would say she was from, so as not to blow their cover, to anyone muggle or otherwise.

"That nice."the lady remarked as she stood beside a huge display of sunscreen items. Hermione was overwhelmed, she had not purchased items like this for herself before. She had always just used whatever her mother had bought and the American labels were so different that what she was accustomed to.

" can you help me pick something out?" She called to the woman's retreating form.

"Of course dear."the woman replied before handing her a bottle telling her it was the most popular choice.

"Thank you." Hermione replied before a rack of sunglasses caught her attention. She walked to it and picked up a hot pink pair that had small white flowers on the side. Adding them to her basket she then selected a pair with thin silver frames for Draco. She then walked back to the sunscreen and grabbed a large tube that looked a bit like Chapstick and said it was for the face. She put that in the basket as well before grabbing a large bottle of blue aloe Vera gel. She then went to the checkout where the helpful lady stood waiting patiently.

"All set?" She asked. Hermione nodded.

"37.65" is your total. The woman said as she bagged the purchases. Hermione handed her the card Remus had given her. The woman swiped the card then instructed Hermione to sign on a small electronic screen. Hermione nearly forgot and began to sign her own name to the screen before just scribbling something illegible and pressing ok. The woman put the receipt in the bag and handed it to Hermione.

"Thank you." She told the woman as she headed out the door to where Max was waiting.

"All set Miss Emily?" He asked.

"Yes, quite." She replied.

They had a quiet and pleasant drive home, where she found Draco waiting for her on the deck. He was in his baby blue board shorts and a crisp white tank top.

"You look nice." She managed to say before setting her bag of purchases on the patio table.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" He asked.

"Yes. I got you something too." She said handing him his glasses.

"Ok, thanks." He said genuinely. "Ready?" He asked before motioning for her to go first down to the beach.

She nodded enthusiastically before heading down to where Max was setting up some chairs and a cooler in the sand.

"Thank you Max."

"You are most Welcome Miss Emily. Enjoy your day. I will have Regina set up a BBQ early this afternoon."he replied.

"Thanks."she and Draco replied in unison.

Max walked up the stairs and out of sight.

"So what else did you buy?" Draco asked.

"I told you, I needed some sunscreen."she said holding up the bottle. "I got you some sunscreen as well." She tossed him the small Chapstick looking one and instructed him to wipe it on his face

"No thank you. I'll be just fine without it." He replied.

"You'll burn."she said exasperated.

"Don't worry." He smirked.

"Well then will you put some of this on my back? It's where I always burn." She asked

"Sure, what do I do?"

"Just squeeze some into your hand and rub it on my skin." She replied.

"Okay." He said squeezing the bottle gently until a fair amount was in his hand. He reached for her back but hesitated before touching her. 'I really am pathetic with women.' He thought 'can't even touch one without getting excited.'

"I'm not sure how to do this." He said frustrated.

"Just rub it on like you would a lotion or salve." Hermione replied.

"Got it." He said before placing his hands firmly against her shoulders and smearing the lotion into her skin. She was warm and soft and he could feel himself growing more and more excited.

"How much?" He asked.

"Just a bit more on my lower back, please and thank you."she said cheerfully.

"Ok."he said swallowing hard before squirting a small amount more onto his hands and working down her back until reaching the top line of her bathing suit bottom. He smiled as he noticed two dimples just above her bathing suit line. For whatever reason he found them very appealing . He quickly finished rubbing the lotion in before getting up as fast as he could and sitting on his own lounge chair. He threw a towel over his groin to disguise his excitement. Hermione noticed, but chose to say nothing.

"Thank you very much Drake."

"You are welcome Emily."

"Want to take a walk to the shops? Max said they are just down a bit from here."

"No"he sighed "I think I will just relax here a bit."

"Ok. I'm going to check it out then." She replied. "See you."
