Chapter 11
She was back in LA. She was back in his arms. She was sobbing, upset and sometimes shouting in Spanish whether to herself, to him or down the phone to her mother – who still wanted Gabriella to get a divorce no matter how much she claimed to 'love' her new husband.
Every phone call shared with Gabriella's mother was the same with one or two words the same 'divorce him'.
Soon Gabriella started screening her mother's calls and ignoring them. Which of course had her brothers, father, aunties and uncles phoning her to make sure she was same in the big city. To which she would be reply 'I live in LA not New York City'.
Troy was starting to think the only thing he could do would be to go and meet Gabriella's mother himself. But Gabriella knew that if that happened they would be splashed all over the news because one reporter would get wind Troy was heading to Ohio. So then they would follow, they would find and they would report. The stories would go world wide, get twisted and privacy would be a thing of the past for Gabriella and all her family. Especially if Gabriella's mother spoke her opinion.
"I can't tell you that mother. No he's not some sleazy man blackmailing me or some influence power person in LA. I promise you I'll tell you soon," said Gabriella. "I promise you'll love him as much as I do, just in a different way, he's so sweet, loving, caring and he can provide for me."
"Bye mum."
"Troy!" she called, as she hung up with her mother.
"Yeah," said Troy, coming into the roof.
"It's time to call Kelsi," sighed Gabriella.
"Are you sure?" asked Troy, pulling Gabriella to him.
"No, yes I just can't keep it from my mother anymore but if you go to Ohio to meet her chances are a reporter hears, follows you and it all comes out. So I'd rather it come out on our terms," said Gabriella.
"You could skype her," said Troy.
"Let's forget out it all for now it's late and we have both have work tomorrow and I have to get up at six," yawned Gabriella.
"Come on then wife I'll take you to bed," smiled Troy.
"Who are you calling wife?" asked Gabriella, as Troy hosted her up into his arms.
"My wife," he grinned, leaning down to kiss her as he kicked the bedroom door closed.
