A/N: Woah! It's been forever guys! Been so busy! I have a whole notebook full of crap to type so now that I'm kinda back in action, you won't have to wait four more months! I apologize. But that Warroir chapter is written and will be coming eventually. When I get to that part of the notebook. :D You guys have waited long enough. Chapter 11!

Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon. Never have, never will.

"Gatomon! Wake up!" Kari yelled at her catlike Digimon. While Gatomon was lounging around sleeping, Kari had received a phone call from her older brother. Unfortunately it was not a good phone call. It almost never is with the DigiDestined lately. "Wake up!" she yelled again in annoyance. No response came from the white and purple cat. Kari groaned. She didn't have time for this. She bent her elbows then grabbed Gatomon.

"Mrrrooowww!" Gatomon yelled out as she was woken up. She instinctively scratched at whatever had grabbed her. Too bad that it happened to be Kari.

"Ahh!" Kari yelled as Gatomon's claws dug into her flesh. Just more scratches that she didn't need.

"Sorry Kari. What on Earth possesed you to grab me?" Gatomon asked Kari.

"I'll explain on the way! C'mon!" Kari told her partner. Smartly she did not grab Gatomon again. Instead, she just ran out the door knowing full well that Gatomon was right behind her.

The run to Izzy's house was uneventful. She was surprised to see no other DigiDestined on the way. Then again, she was twenty minutes late. That's why when she got to Izzy's house everyone else was already there.

"There you are!" Tai exclaimed as he ran over to Kari and rubbed her head, messing up her hair. Then he suddenly pulled her into a tight hug.

"Tai?" Kari questioned. Tai may be an overprotective big brother, but this was still unlike him.

"We were worried sick!" Tai told her. "We were afraid that they had gotten to you!" Kari giggled at his concern.

"Well I'm right here and in one piece as an added bonus." she joked. Tai let go.

"We really need to hire you a body guard!" Tai said. It made everyone snicker, but Kari knew that he was only half kidding.

"Thank you for the offer, I'd be happy to Tai." TK said. He kissed Kari on the cheek. However shaken he had been from his nightmare the other night was completely gone. Or he was hiding it. Kari assumed the latter.

"I'm not that desperate!" Tai smiled. He was clearly joking, but he did mean it.

"We're here for a reason guys!" Davis spoke up. All heads turned to the voice who changed the subject. "I'd love to talk to Kari all day but we have a duty."

"Davis is right." Yolei spoke up. "We should be getting to the Digital World. The Digimon need us." her voice was unenthusiastic. She had her left arm at her side, her right arm across her chest holding her left arm.

"Devimon will have to wait. Who's ready to kick some Digimon Emperor butt?" Davis cheered. Kari wondered how he could be so happy about having to fight Ken. "I'm definitely ready to get my best friend back!" Oh. He was taking the optimistic route. Nods all around the room confirmed their view as well.

"Not to mention our Digimon partners." Matt addd. "Unlike Kari, we get that added bonus."

"Patamon, here we come!" TK called out. He slipped his free hand into Kari's. "DigiPort open!"

Nothing happened. Again.

"DigiPort open!" he tried again. Still nothing. "Come on!" he yelled at his green and white D3.

"Maybe you're doing it wrong." Mimi suggested.

"I'm doing it the same way that I always have." TK retorted.

"Maybe that's the problem!" Izzy figured out. Kari looked at him quizzically.

"What do you mean Izzy?" Joe asked.

"I mean, we've tried to get through BlackWarGreymon's seal and Oikawa's barrier several times. And we've always tried doing it the same way..." Izzy trailed off as his thinking finally clicked in Kari's mind.

"So we need to do it a different way!"

"Exactly!" Izzy said, clapping his hands together.

"And how are we supposed to do it differently?" TK asked, agitated. It was unusual for TK to get mad. Especially when going to see Patamon. She let it got this time. Everyone has a bad day once in a while.

"Change the position that you're standing in? Davis suggestes. TK looked hesitant to take advice from Davis. Davis sighed. "How about you calm down a bit?" TK still looked hesitant. Kari gave his hand a supportive squeeze.

"Come on. Give it a try. What have we got to lose?" she asked. The way she saw it, they had nothing to lose but everything to gain. He looked down at her with those blue eyes that made her insides do a dance everytime she saw them. He smiled and nodded.

Kari's powers of persuasion are amaing.

TK took a deep breath in...and out. "DigiPort, open." he said calmly – the calmest that he's been for weeks. A white light erupted out of the screen and in went the DigiDestined.

The DigiDestinend landed in a heap on the ground of the Digital World – they were out of practice fr landing in the Digital World. And unfortunately for Yolei, she was on the bottom. "Get off of me!" she yelled out. She may still be very upset, but have ten teenagers/adults land on top of you would make anyone angry. They all slowly crawled off of each other, checking to make sure all of their limbs were where they should be.

"I guess we have to get used to that trip again, huh?" Kari said as she flexed her elbow.

"You can say that again." Davis added as he brushed dirt off of his pant legs.

"Now let's find our Digimon!" Tai yelled out while pumping his fist in the air. A collective cheer was shared throughout the group.

"How are we supposed to do that?" TK snapped. Tai looked at TK surprised that he ruined their happy mood. Usually TK was the one to lift the mood. Not bring it down.

"Just calling them usually works." Cody told them.

"Well then let's give it a try!" Joe said, enthusiastically. "Who wants to go first?"

"I will." Sora spoke up. They all looked over at the auburn haired girl. She took in a deep breath. "BIYOMON!" Sora yelled.

Silence reigned at the DigiDestined waited. After standing in silence for what seemed like mellenia, a pink blur could be seen in the distance.

"I can't belive that actually worked." Izzy said id disbelief.

"What? You didn't believe Cody?" Tai asked him, teasing in his voice.

"Guys, instead of arguing, shouldn't we go meet Biyomon halfway?" Sorra suggested.

"Right. How'd we get so distracted." Davis asked. Though he did not receive an answer. The DigiDestined started walking in the direction of the pink blur, when it suddenly fell out of the sky.

"Biyomon!" Sora called out as she quickened her pace from a walk to a run. TK and the others had to quicken their pace as well. When they reached the pink, bird like Digimon they looked down at her. Biyomon was in Sora's arms. She was beaten up with scratches all over her body, bruises, and a few missing feathers. It angered TK. He knew this was what a rookie Digimon looked like after losing a difficult battle. And only one person in the Digital World would do this.

The Digimon Emperor.

"Biyomon! Oh Biyomon, talk to me!" Sora begged. TK never thought that her reunion with Biyomon would be so sad. He had thought that the tears would be of joy. Biyomon stirred.

"Sora? You made it!" Biyomon said weakly, a smile eminating from her beak.

"Of course I did Biyomon. What happened?" Sora asked.

"The Digimon Emperor. He happened." Biyomon told Sora.

"Then what are we waiting for?" TK spoke up. He couldn't listen to Biyomon's story any longer. "Let's go kick his ass." They all looked at TK for a minute, but nodded in agreement.

"I'll carry Biyomon." Sora said. She cradled Biyomon in her arms and stood up with the help of Matt. Sora looked at Matt. TK noticed something...something in Sora's eyes. Sadness? Guilt? Happiness? He didn't get a chance to see it because it was gone as quickly as it came.

She was worried about TK. He hasn't been himself since this whole thing started. Or at least. He's been a different part of himself. The part that occasionally showed itself during Kimeramon, BlackWarGreymon, MaloMyotismon, and the last time the Digimon Emperor was around. And now the Digimon Emperor was back. She wanted to help TK; wished she could. She tried her best, but nothing seemed to work.

"We'll get him back TK. He's only a teen just like us." Kari tried to assure him.

"He's nothing like us." TK said to her angrily. Even though she knew that the anger was not directed at her, it still upset her. "We're smart and stratigic. Not to mention, we're the good guys."

'And the good guys always win.' TK thought.

"But being held captive inside of the Digimon Emperor is Ken!" Kari exclaimed.

"As long as the Digimon Emperor shows his face, Ken is no longer on our side."

Kari couldn't belive what she just heard. Ken was just struggling. He was in there somewhere, fighting back. But for whatever reason, TK didn't believe that.

This was how it was the whole walk. Kari didn't know where they were walking. She was just following the others, letting her thoughts drift. Her thoughts led her to a dangerous place. How were they supposed to defeat the Digimon Emperor? Which then led to a worse thought. How'd they defeat him last time? Just the memory made Kari frown. Hopefully they wouldn't have to go to such extremes this time. And hopefully Ken's guilt won't be as bad.

But she had a feeling that both of those are going to be worse.

"Where are you leading us TJ?" Davis asked. Kari sighed. She was never going to get Davis to call TK by his real name. TK did not dignify Davis with a response. Instead he kept walking, not even slowing his brisk pace.

"I don't think he's in the mood to talk to you at the moment." Matt told Davis. Davis huffed.

"Well he could have just-"

Cue the evil chuckle. Everyone stopped dead in their tracks. There was no mistaking who that laught belonged to.

"Well well well, look who decided to show their lousy faces." came the unmistakable voice of the Digimon Emperor. Kari was the first to notice him. He was standing off to their right, luckily at ground level, about thirty feet away. Kari was amazed at his stealth.

"We were never hiding!" Davis taunted. "What do you want?"

"I just came here to chat but since you asked why don't you give me your Digimon?" the Digimon Emperor pointed at Biyomon.

"Not a chance! You can't have her!" Sora yelled out in defiance.

"Now, now. What's a Digimon between friends?" he asked leaving everyone speechless. Everyone, that is, except for TK.

"You aren't our friend!" TK yelled at the spiky haired teen.

"What kind of attitude is that? Well I guess you asked for it. MONOCHROMON!"

Kari gasped. On the Monochromon's leg was something that looked similar to a dark ring except it was longer. Like a sleeve. The black and white Digimon's eyes glowed red.

"I'd love to stay and watch your demise but I have important bussiness to attend to." the Digimon Emperor told them then flew off on-

"No. Freaking Way." Tai said to no one in particular.

Kari was gaping. The Digimon Emperor rode off on the shoulder of a green and black, bug like Digimon.

"Stingmon?" Davis nearly yelled. "Did Ken – err – the Digimon Emperor just fly away on Stingmon?"

"Why would Stingmon agree to help the Digimon Emperor?" Matt wondered aloud.

"It's always possible that Stingmon could be under the control of the Digimon Emperor." Izzy theorized.

"No way! Stingmon would never do such a thing!" Yolei yelled all of a sudden, startling everyone.

"Yolei, you've faught the Digimon Emperor before-"

"No!" Yolei retorted. She refused to believe it.

"We have a bigger problem then Stingmon." TK spoke up.

"The Monochromon is about to charge and we have no protection!" Cody told them rather loudly for the quiet young lad.

"I can fight."

They all looked at the small pink Digimon in Sora's arms.

"You're still too weak Biyomon." Sora complained.

"Sora, I got this."

"No. Stay down okay?" Sora asked, but her tone made it more instisting; a comand not a question. But to Kari's surprise, Biyomon did not take "no" for an answer.

"Monochromon is way too close for comfort! I'm going to fight even if you don't let me Digivolve!" Biyomon snapped. She jumped/rolled out of Sora's arms. She wasalready much better than when they found her earlier, but didn't look back in fighting condition. Sora bit her lip, but then a determined look crossed her face and she nodded. Biyomon ran infront of the DigiDestined.

"Spiral Twister!" Biyomon yelled. A green torando came out from her beak and hit the Monochromon dead on. Unfortunately for Biyomon, she was a rookie. And Monochromon was a champion. Monochromon kept running head on. Except this time it was toward Biyomon. Kari slammed her eyes shut. She didn't want to see this.

"Boom Blaster!"

"Electro Shocker!"

"Screaming Fishes!"

"Lightning Paw!"

"Vee Headbutt!"

"Diamond Shell!"

"Pepper Breath!"

"Poison Ivy!"

"Feather Strike!"

Kari heard them all loud and clear. All nine Digimon attacked the Monochromon. It did nothing to slow them down.

"Guys! It's the Digimon!" Davis cheered. "Yea!"

"I hate to interupt, but now would be a great time to Digivolve!" Matt said anxiously. Monochromon drew ever nearer to Biyomon.

"Right! Get ready to Digivolve!" Tai ordered, going into leader mode.

BIYOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...BIRDRAMON!

GABUMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...GARURUMON!

TENTOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...KABUTERIMON!

GOMAMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...IKKAKUMON!

VEEMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...EXVEEMON!

ARMODILLOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...AQUILLOMON!

AGUMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...GREYMON!

PALMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...TOGEMON!

ARMADILLOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...ANKYLOMON!

"Aim for the Dark Sleeve!" Tai orderd.

"Combine attacks!" Greymon told them.

The Digimon did as told. They counted to three as the Monochromon charged. On three, they all shot at the same time...mostly. Their timing was off and the attacks hit seperately, but it did it's job. The Dark Sleeve couldn't take that many consecutive hits from Champion level Digimon. It cracked and broke. The Digimon reverted back to their rookie forms. The DigiDestined let out a breath of relief.

Except Kari and TK.

Kari had done the math in her head over and over again. She got the same answer everytime. Math may not be her strongest subject, but there was no mistaking that there should have been another Digimon – taking into account that Stingmon was working for the Digimon Emperor. After taking a mental attendance of the present Digimon, Kari figured out who was missing. And as soon as she did, she looked over at TK in concern.

He wasn't there. TK didn't know why, but Patamon wasn't there. Everyone else was rejoicing, happy about finally seeing their partners again and happy that they had won the battle. But TK had nothing to be happy about. His partner was missing and he wasn't blind. He knew that the war was far from over. TK kept his eyes locked in the direction that the Digimon Emperor and Stingmon flew off in. He couldn't wait to connect his fist to the Digimon Emperor's face.

"Let's get a move on." TK announced. "We don't want the Digimon Emperor putting up anymore Control Spires than he probably already has."

"Wait a moment TK." Izzy spoke up. TK groaned in annoyance but agknowladged Izzy.

"What now?"

"The Dark Sleeve was controlling that Monochromon, right?" Izzy asked the obvious.

"Of course it was! What kind of question is that?" TK snapped. Izzy withdrew a little bit, but continued on anyway.

"Because TK, if the Dark Sleeve was controlling that Monochromon, what was controlling thr Dark Sleeve?" Izzy pondered.

"The Digimon Emperor of course." Tai replied before TK could yell again.

"Yes, but more specifically a Control Spire would." Izzy entered his famous thinking pose. "If a Control Spire had to control the Dark Sleeve, then how could our Digimon Digivolve?"

TK hadn't thought about that. He had been too caught up in his own anger that he hadn't noticed the obvious. And by the looks of the others, neither had they. They all looked to the Digimon for answers.

"Agumon?" Tai asked hi giant orange lizard Digimon.

"I don't know Tai." he responded. "I did it the same way that I always have."

"Gomamon?" Joe asked.

"With the Digivice!" Gomamon said with a big, proud smile on his face. Everyone sweatdropped.

"That's not helpful." Davis told the seal like Digimon.

"I have a theory," Izzy said, "that the power of Azulongmon's DigiCore might still be in our Digimon. If the power of the DigiCore to reach their Ultimate levels again it may have the power to cancel out the anti-Digivolution effect of the Control Spires."

"Makes sense to me." Kari spoke up. "And it makes defeating the Digimon Emperor a whole lot easier."

"So maybe we should actually go do that." TK commented, ignoring how smart ass that comment was. He wanted to get their butts moving.

"Geez TL. We're going, we're going." Davis said. TK growled at the miniature version of Tai. Now was not the time to mess with his name.

Even if it was all in good fun.

"Calm down TK." Kari said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll beat him bro." Matt said, placing his hand on TK's other shoulder. TK took two deep breaths to calm himself. He was getting a little too worked up.

"You're right. We'll get the Digimon Emperor and I'll make sure that he'll never return." TK said, venom at the end of his sentence. One more deep breath and he was better. He was glad that no one else noticed Patamon going AWOL. And if they did notice, at least they had the decency not to bring it up.

Three hours of walking, resting, repeat, brought them up empty handed. A quick glance into the sky told Tai that it was time to leave th Digital World. Synchronized time = leaving the Digital World at sundown.

"Guys, it's time to call it quits." Tai informed them. They sighed.

"No! We have to keep looking!" TK exclaimed.

"Tai's right TK. If you don't get home, Mom will worry. You know how she is." Matt reminded.

"I guess you guys are right." TK admitted. Tai let out a sigh of relief that the argument with TK was short. "I shouldn't worry my Mom. She still doesn't get how the Digital stuff works"

"I'd rathere havea parent that doesn't understand than a parent who understands all too well." Kari said.

"At least they haven't gotten involved yet." Tai said, quickly realizing his mistake.

"Don't jinx it Tai!" Kari exclaimed, running to the nearest tree.

"It's almost dark. The Digimon Emperor will have to go home as well." Izzy explained.

"Assuming that he doesn't run away again." Cody reminded them. That worried Tai for two different reasons. The first being that he had a completely reasonable theory. The other is that Cody was the one who trusted Ken last. Right now Ken was breaking the trust that he and Cody had built.

"Don't think like that Cody. Well get him! You gotta stay positive." TK told the fifteen year old. Tai realized how hippocritical that statement was, but didn't bring it up.

"You're right. Thanks TK!" Cody said, smiling.

"Come on Kari, no more stalling. We really need to get home." Tai told her. She gave TK a quick peck on the cheek then went with Tai. They located the nearest TV rather quickly, since they were in a field. Once back in the Real World, Tai and Kari started heading toward the Kamiya apartment. Tai was coming with Kari to ensure her saftey.

"There you guys are!" Tai looked up to see who it was, but he already had a guess.

And unfortunately, he was right.

It was their Mom.

"I was starting to get worried!" Zoey cried out. She rushed over to Tai and Kari. Zoey gave each of them a bear hug.

"Mom, mom! Chill!" Tai said, laughing at his Mom's hysterics.

"Seriously Mom, we're fine!" Kari assured her Mom. Their Mom retreated, but still didn't look convinced.

"Did you get into any fights?" she asked, concerned.

"Only one Mom, and it wasn't very hard." Tai sighed. Shouldn't his Mom know that their Digimon had to fight?

"Good." his Mom said, obviously relieved.

"Why is it getting you so worked up? Would your parents like it if you got like this?" Tai asked her. He was starting to regret his decision to come here instead of his apartment.

Zoey looked at him with anger in her eyes. "My Mom was just like this when I told her about the Digital World after the final battle with Lucemon." She pointed a finger at Tai. "And I'm worked up because I'm your Mom!"

"But none of the other parents hide their kids Digivices!" Kari objected. Tai remembered that night vividly. The amount of panic was tremendous.

"That's because they don't know what it's like to actually be there; involved in the battle; fighting." Tai studied her eyes carefully. They told a story he would probably never know. Hurt, anguish, friendship, and love. He wasn't sure what she meant by "involved in the battle", but he felt that whatever had happened in the Digital World was far worse then what's happening now. Zoey smiled, hiding whatever memories had been going through her mind. "Now who's ready for dinner?"

Tai and Kari both flinched.

"Actually, I have to go meet up with Izzy to make a stratagy." Tai said.

"And I have to meet up with TK." Kari made up, then both Kamiya's ran out the door.

A/N: So, what did you think? Like I said, I copied this out of a notebook, so sorry for mistakes. Copying is a tedious process. For me anyway. Good news! The next chapter will be the Warrior chapter I promised. :) I've revised everything up till this point. I will revise every 5-10 chapters. Or during writers block. Please review! Anything will work, even flames. I don't get offended easily. Until next time...
