Raditz slowly walked out of the rejuvenation tank room. It seemed that Nappa had ruined any chance he might possibly have had with Lornai. No doubt she hated him now. The female's damaged armor lay on a table just outside the door. He knew someone who might be able to repair it. It wouldn't be exactly like before but she'd be able to use it again...

"Glad to see ya up an' about, Lornai!" Jeice called out as he walked up to the Parithian female.

Lornai turned away from Appule and regarded the Ginyu Force member, she hadn't missed the smirk he'd given Raditz in passing.

"It'll take MORE than a few love taps from Zarbon to keep me down," Lornai quipped.

The Red Magma stared at her in disbelief. How could she joke about such a thing? Zarbon could easily have killed her.

"Ah guess this mean's yer done with tha monkeys and ya gonna take a real assignment now," Jeice suggested hopefully.

"I will complete the assignment I was given!" Lornai snapped.

"Too proud to admit ya made a big mistake takin' it, that's what it is!" Jeice snorted.

"It's MY concern not yours, Jeice!" Lornai snarled.

"Ah'll talk to ya when ya come to yer senses!" Jeice huffed as he left the room.

"You know I don't paticularly care much for Saiyans, but don't you think you were a bit hard on that Raditz fellow?" Appule questioned.

"Have you forgotten why I've been here the last few days?" the Parithian demanded.

"Of course not. But if HE hadn't brought you in as quickly as he did, you might not have survived," the blue medic affirmed.

"Raditz brought me here? Hmph! He was probably ordered to!"

"Oh? Was he ordered to stay with you 'til you were stabilized? You almost went into distress and he calmed you down. I didn't need an assistant to help put you in the tank because HE DID IT FOR ME," Appule informed the female."What's more, he was down here checking on you every chance he could."

'Could it be it's just Nappa behind this?' Lornai wondered.

...

Lornai found Nappa in the elite training room, he smirked at her as he went through a basic kata. The Parithian female reached under her hair and pulled out a very tiny dart, this paticular dart didn't contain a lethal dose like she usually carried. With an evil smile , she flung the dart in the Saiyan's direction. Nappa felt a small prick to his skin and then absolute agony. Lornai stood over him as he sank to the floor.

"What did you...", the huge Saiyan began.

His voice died in his throat. Suddenly he couldn't speak, couldn't move. All he could do was lie on the floor as fire seemed to rush through his veins.

"Druthian snake venom. It's not lethal in this dose but I could always change my mind and give you a little MORE. I would suggest that you don't pull a stunt like you did on Teranas AGAIN!" the Parithian elite snapped.

Nappa had never felt such pain, moisture began to gather at the corner of his eyes. His breathing began to slow, his heart stated to race. Had she lied to him? Was he really going to DIE? Flat on his back by a damned Parithian female, what a way for a Saiyan to go. She must really want revenge. He didn't regret his actions in the least, if she was expecting remorse from him she wasn't going to get it.

The female burst into cold laughter as she saw the expression on the bald Saiyan's face. For just a moment, Nappa envisioned a feminine version of the Saiyan prince standing over him. He berated himself for such a treasonous thought, she wasn't worthy to share the same air as Prince Vegeta.

Reaching into the pouch at her waist, Lornai pulled out a small fluid filled tube. She lifted Nappa's head and forced the angry Saiyan's mouth open , pouring in the tube's contents. His heart slowed, he could almost breathe easier and the numbness began to fade. With a hard kick to Nappa's right side, Lornai turned and walked out of the room.

Soon Raditz walked in and rushed over to the Saiyan elite who was still lying on the floor. Nappa was covered in sweat and taking great gulps of air.

"WHAT happened to you?" the young Saiyan asked.

"THAT DAMNED PARITHIAN BITCH!" Nappa bellowed.

"Guess that's why she ordered me to check on you," Raditz mused. "Well, whatever she did, YOU DESERVE IT!"

...

The next few days were unlike any the Saiyans had ever known. Not only were they subjected to grueling training sesions for the greater part of the day, but the Parithian female insisted on drills to gauge their response time when arriving at the launching bay or the briefing room. If she deemed the time taken not to her liking, not only would she increase the training time but she would respond with a blistering tirade that even stunned Nappa. Who knew the woman's vocabulary was so colorful.

WHEN Lornai would demand their immediate response was completely unknown, it could be at any given time, they could be in the training room all the way across the ship or even sleeping. She caught Nappa in the shower once, much to Raditz's amusement. Only mealtimes were exempt, she knew better than to come between Saiyans and their food.

Sparring with the Parithian elite was brutal now. Raditz didn't know if the woman had held back before or if she had suddenly increased her strength and speed. Even Nappa had been hard pressed to keep up with her. The son of Bardock missed the wisecracking, soft-spoken Lornai. She'd been replaced by a steel voiced, no-nonsense officer with a hair-trigger temper.

...

"Excuse me, ma'am. The long-haired Saiyan wanted me to bring this to you," one of Frieza's servants said to Lornai as she was heading into her quarters.

The female wanted nothing from either Saiyan. But curiousity got the better of her, she accepted the cloth covered bundle. Pulling back the black material, her breath caught in her throat. Her ruined breastplate had been expertly repaired. The crushed black center had been filled in with silver material that matched the original silver trim. She could wear it once more. A genuine smile lit the Parithian's face.

Raditz sat across from Nappa in the ship's mess hall attempting to eat the tasteless mass on his plate. He wondered if he would hear from the Parithian female soon. Her repaired armor should have reached her by now. As if on cue, Lornai walked into the room. Nappa glared at her for a moment and then kept his gaze on his plate.

The younger Saiyan looked up hopefully as the woman was wearing the armor he'd had repaired. To his disappointment, the female walked past without even looking his way. Even with her being an elite officer, she'd always sat across from the Saiyans during meals. Since Nappa's deception, she took meals with the ship's medics.

Radditz shoved his plate back, his appetite suddenly gone. The long-haired Saiyan got out of his seat and left the mess hall. Nappa looked over at the plate Raditz had left, the food had barely been touched. The burly Saiyan sighed, he'd have to deal with a hungry, irritable Saiyan later.

It was actually a good thing if seeing the woman made Raditz miserable, Nappa thought. He'd finally managed to drive a wedge between the third-class Saiyan and the Parithian female. She might not have been killed by Frieza or Zarbon, but she no longer had faith in the team assigned to her. The woman only spoke to them when necessary now. Shrugging his shoulders, Nappa finished eating the food on his plate and he reached over and took the plate that had belonged to Raditz and started to devour its contents.

Lornai watched as Raditz left the room. She should have expressed her appreciation for the repairs to her armor but couldn't bring herself to speak to Raditz just yet. Other than to give commands, she'd not spoken to either of the Saiyans for several days. The Parithian elite could feel the fluctuations in the young Saiyan's ki. He was obviously upset and she'd not known any Saiyan to purposely miss a meal before. She'd have to speak to him soon. But not now.
