Hogwarts School

(after Snape called Lily a mudblood)

Lily Evans was walking on autopilot to get away from all of them those damn marauders and with a pang in her heart her once best male friend Severus. She knew he didn't mean it but he was changing this school year and it was not for the better in her opinion. She was glad that her family would be gone from their old house in Hale to Privet Drive by the time she got home from school. What only Alice Dorny and the Dorny family knew was Lily got her magical powers from her dad's side of the family to the wizarding world her father was called a squib but he was really a hedge-wizard. He was latent in getting his magical powers.

That was why they were moving to Surrey so he could attend a school that specializes with his type of magic coming in later in life. This school was set up in secret by the Head of the Department of Mysteries in 1900 Saul Croaker because this was a closely guarded secret in the department there were no true muggle-born they were actually half-blooded, squib-born, or Newborns.

With her dad coming into his powers they were gifted with twin House-elves Mickey and Minnie a week after his powers manifested. So with their help, it was easy to move everything to the new house over Easter break.

There are five groves where young free elves are trained first before given to a hedge-wizard and the Evans elves were trained close to Hogwarts. So Minnie told her young mistress where the come and go room was so she took her best friend Alice there.

Alice Dorny walked quietly by her friend so nothing would happen to her when she was in this state of mind. Alice was secretly glad for the end of her friendship with the Snape boy he would only bring her down as he was just like his drunken father Tobias. Her family knew the Snapes as her father's cousin used to work with him. Tobias was mean and nasty by nature and his son was only more dangerous for having magic at his disposal. She knew where Lily was going her feet was taken her to the Room of Requirement on the seventh floor.

When Alice looked at her friend Lily face when they reach the 6th level, she saw a look on her face that she did not recognize before so like usual she followed her lead into this new adventure she knew that was about to have. "Oh, boy" she mumbled.

They made it to the seventh floor, opposite a tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet to what they called their secret hide-out. Leaning against the opposite wall she let Lily do her thing. When the door appeared Alice followed Lilly into what could only be a large junk room. Then she remembered Lily want to go through this room to see what they could take with them.

Lily touched a bell that was on the wall beside the way out shaped like an hourglass for 30 minutes, and they got to work in the prototype time chamber here in Hogwarts. For every minute outside the room, one hour would past inside the room without aging you in any way. They started with their families the Dorny and Evans. Lily pulled out of her pocket two tiny toy chests, but with the help of her father, it was a multi-room storage chamber disguised as a student trunk.

The trunk enlarged into an oversized steamer trunk at 6 feet tall with the door open it looked like folder divider for a notebook but with a touch on each number inscribed with a ruin symbol that section enlarged into a 40-foot container from the shipping yards.

Lily put ruin and family spells in each container for the steamer trunks one for her and one for me. During our last Hogsmeade weekend, we left Hogsmeade to meet with our father's in Diagon Alley to do an inheritance test at Gringotts so we knew what was our family things to pack up to take home from the room.

I was descended from the Black, Dorny, Mckinnon, Brown, and Diggory Families go figure. I knew of some but not all these families were related to me in some way everyone in the wizarding world has one member of the black family in their ancestry. What surprised everyone there was Lily's family tree. We all knew about the Evanshire line but she has also related to the Croakers and the Peverell families also. I didn't know what Lily handed over in the Moleskine bag to the goblin all she said was, " it didn't feel right". They told her that they would take care of it.

She told me she found it on our first look through the hidden room the week before and put it in the Moleskine bag to take it to the goblins her feeling was that the teachers would not take care of it properly. Lily always did have that little knowing to not believe in Divination.

The vanishing cabinets are one great example of her divination gift. She handed my dad a bag filled with gold to get the matching cabinet in Borgin & Burkes in Knockturn Alley. Lily's little knowing she got from her mother's side of the family Irish travelers.

Lily told me that in one of her family vaults was what she called blueprints of how to make your own Vanishing Cabinet and the step by step instructions on how to fix any problems with existing cabinets.

When the 30 minutes was up we filled up about half of our trunk containers with just our family things we found. Lily still had that gleam in her eyes when she got one of her little knowings it spelled trouble for someone. I just wanted to sit back and watch the show that was about to go off. Alice started thinking if she could get the house-elves to make some popcorn. After we passed the entrance to our common room Lily started humming that muggle song that she liked to go much I shot the sheriff.

A cold chill just ran down my spine all hell was about to break loose here in Hogwarts and no one will even suspect that nery Lily Evans was behind it all. "I need Popcorn," Alice mumbled.
