A/N: Sorry for not updating sooner. Life has been way too busy with school piano, dance, etc. So, I have decided to stop torturing you guys and actually write. Okay, on with the story!
"I want to leave."
"We all want many things, but we don't get them. Well, I always do… You can't leave." Pan and I sit in his tree house, grumbling at each other as always. It's been three weeks, and no sign of Killian. From what I heard from the Lost Boys, they haven't done anything to him. Yet, I can't help but wonder about what Pan is hiding from me…or what he wants me to do.
"This is unfair," I say stubbornly, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
"Life isn't fair. But immortal life is," Peter says with a smirk.
"I want to slap that smirk of your face."
"Again with the wants." I glare at him and put my head back against the footboard. We sit on the wooden floor, making arrows. "Just finish your damn arrow."
"Don't boss me!" Peter raises an eyebrow at my childish behavior and then plasters a smirk back on his face.
"Wow. Acting like a child. Perfect attribute for a lost girl."
"I am not your damn lost girl!" However, I still listen to him and go back to making the arrow. But, I pause in the middle of wrapping the vine on the arrowhead. "You still haven't told me."
"Haven't told you what? There are plenty of things I don't tell you."
"My purpose." Peter stiffens and looks at me with a glare.
"It's not time yet."
"It's been almost a month. I want off this island."
"A month is a week in your world. Relax."
"Well, if I spend eternity to here, it won't matter what time it is in my own goddamn world!"
"Can you refrain from shouting for just one second?" I clench my jaw, but I decided to say no more. Oh, Killian. Where are you?
"Hook, come on! We can't stay in this part of the forest for too long." Tinkerbell trudges across the thick mud while Killian just looks at the cave. The cave that took the life of his brother. Tink's words break his trance, and he tentatively moves across the mud.
"You still haven't told me," Hook says, mimicking my words not a moment ago.
"Told you what?"
"Violet's purpose for Pan."
"It's not easy to tell."
"Not easy?! She is my shipmate. I deserve to know."
"And you will…when the time is right." Hook rolls his eyes and follows the ex-fairy begrudgingly.
"Why can't you tell me?"
"Stop pestering me." An hour has passed, and I have made it my mission to annoy Pan into giving me the answer.
"No," I say childishly.
"Do you want me to put you back in the Dark Hollow?"
"But then, you won't have me for whatever you need me for." Pan glares at me, but says no more. I smile inwardly in triumph, but I know it is not enough for him to break.
"I'm so bored!"
"Then, do something."
"Oh, I want to. But you see, I don't know my purpose yet." Pan clenches his fists, making me flinch inwardly. But, I stand my ground.
"Right now, your purpose is to shut up."
"What about later?" Pan face-palms himself.
"Go to bed."
"But it's only the afternoon!"
"Go."
"You're not my dad. You can't tell me what to do… And didn't you tell me lost children have no rules or orders to follow? Or are you contradicting yourself?" Pan then kicks my shin and walks off. "Oh, don't run away!"
"Okay. Now we're in Pan's camp."
"Are you sure this time?" Hook asks with a frustrated smile. Tink glares at him and looks through the high bushes at the camp. All the boys are either sword-fighting, eating or talking. But, there is no Pan or Violet. She nods at the pirate. "So what do we do now?" Tink smirks at him and brings out poppy powder. Then, she blows at the nearest lost boy and drags him back into the bushes.
"I am going to dress up like one and sneak you in." She then takes the cloak and weapons off the boy, and puts it on herself.
"How do you plan to sneak me in?"
"By creating a diversion." Hook looks at her with a confused expression, and the ex-fairy moves into the camp. She covers her face as much as possible, but none of the boys pay any attention to her. Then, clearing her voice, she screams, "Let's go on a hunt! I saw a boar close by!" in a masculine tone. All the boys cheer and follow her out of the camp, save for Felix. He just walks off the other direction. Either way, Killian has the chance to move in.
As he walks into the camp, the pirate looks around to see any sign of the witty brunette that graced his ship a month ago. Feels just like yesterday. Yet, he could not find her in the camp.
"Pan, where are we going?" I ask, resisting against his iron grip on my wrist.
"You wanted to know your purpose? Well, you will find out today." I look at him in shock. Why would he tell me today? Unless…
"Killian is in the camp, isn't he?" Pan stiffens at the pirate's name, but then continues walking in silence.
"I asked you a damn question. Is Killian in the camp?" In a flash of rage, Pan pins me against a tree and looks down at me maliciously.
"I don't follow your orders. I do what I please. And right now, it is dragging you to your job. If I didn't give you this task, you would be dead just like the rest of Hook's crew." I break his grasp on my wrist and step away from him.
"Tell me. What is my task?"
"Becoming the dark one."
