So...yeah...Natalie's a demigod. Not only is she a demigod, but she's a daughter of Zeus. I couldn't help but wonder how she survived for so long without getting...you know...killed. Children of the big three are insane monster magnets. But, I guess, considering there are at least 6 of us still alive, we must be good at surviving. Either that or monsters are even stupider than we think.

I did not expect Natalie to be a demigod. I guess I'm slow on the uptake. The whole summoning lightning thing should have been a sign...but I didn't connect the dots. (Yes, Natalie we had those in the 40's, geez)

So, as Natalie explained, I pretty much froze. I couldn't believe it, for one thing, but I also realized how big an idiot I was. (OK...OK...Am)

Natalie just looked up in shock. "I...how...what..." She looked at me. "How is this possible? H...how can I be a demigod and a Blood of the Pharaoh?" She stood there, frozen in place. Her eyes were wide, but I could see a spark of excitement in them.

I shrugged. "I don't know. This isn't exactly a normal thing." I started pacing, thoughts racing through my mind. When I said it wasn't a normal thing, I meant that it had never happened before. At least, not in documented demigod history. (yes, that's a thing, now shut up)

Natalie opened her mouth like she was going to say something important, but glanced at her watch. "7:00. I have to go up now. We need to talk about this some other time. Uh...how can I communicate with you?" I started to say something but she interrupted me. "Never mind. I gotta go. Goodbye."

She ran through the door like it wasn't even there. I just stood there, not comprehending, she was gone for a few seconds.

"Jeez," I mumbled as I turned around. "Give me a chance to say something."

I looked up at the mansion and a small head peeking out from one of the windows. I stared for a moment and waved. A little girl that looked around six years old stepped out completely and grinned. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted to me.

"Are you Natalie's boyfriend?" I laughed softly to myself. I'm not good with kids, but they sure can be funny.

"No," I yelled back. I saw a hand grab the back of the little girl's shirt and pull her back. She laughed and I saw Natalie's head sticking out of the window.

"Goodbye, Nico." She laughed and dragged the little girl back inside as she waved to me. I smiled and turned back around and started to walk.

I was walking towards Camp Half-Blood with my hands shoved in my pocket when the drowsiness surrounded me. One second I was perfectly fine, and the next I felt like I was going to pass out. I knew right away there was something doing it to me, but I didn't have time to decide what to do. I stumbled over to the nearest bench and collapsed, my eyesight fading. Soon I drifted off to sleep.

I never like the whole...demigod nighttime adventure thing. We can't control ourselves, and we can sometimes see some pretty disturbing things. But I had no choice, and I had to do it. I prepared myself for the worst when my vision began to clear, even though I was asleep.

But of all the things I was expecting, I wasn't expecting to be standing in the yard of a house. The house was the color of the sky, with white shutters, making the windows look like clouds. It was fairly small, but the yard was huge. There were children's toys littering the grass, most of them balls. Ropes hung from the giant oak tree to the left.

Just then, the door opened, and a little girl ran out. I could right away it was Natalie. Her hair was in pigtails, and she was actually wearing a dress (shocking), but she still had the bright blue eyes I recognized. Mini-Natalie ran into the yard and grabbed one of the ropes and began to climb it, making her way up the tree. She was actually a fast climber, especially since she couldn't have been more than six years old.

It was pretty weird, watching a six year old version of Natalie. I felt like I was invading her privacy, even though this seemed like any other day that could happen to any other family.

It only took Mini- Natalie a few minutes to reach the top of the tree. (Fine, I'll stop calling you Mini-Natalie) She was at the top of the tree, which led to the flat part of the roof.

"Natalie? Natalie where are you." The door opened and a woman with long brown hair and brown eyes stepped outside, blinking from the sun. I knew right away that was Natalie's mother. (You know, along with the face she was yelling for Natalie.)

"Nata...Natalie, get down!"

While I was watching the women, I didn't notice Natalie had climbed onto the roof, and now stood at the edge. Her mother ran underneath her and looked around.

"Natalie, get down, sweetie. Go back down the tree."

I saw Natalie shake her head, grin, and jump. I cried out in alarm, even though I knew that they wouldn't be able to hear me. There was no way a six year old girl would survive that jump. (Granted, I should have remembered Natalie wouldn't die, since I meet her years afterwards.) I saw Natalie's mother sigh, hold out her arms, and wait. I saw Natalie floating downwards slowly. I laughed as she landed directly in her mother's arms.

"Natalie, what did I say! No more jumping from the roof. We don't want anyone to see..."

The sound of the gate slamming open made me jump. I turned and saw two men in the same clothes Natalie was wearing when I first met her. Ms. Mason saw them out of the corner of her eye and walked calmly towards the house, silently inviting them inside. They followed her, their eyes on Natalie, who was still in her mother's arms.

After sending Natalie to her room, Ms. Mason sat on one of the chairs sitting inside the cramped living room. The two men sat on opposite sides of the couch. The stared at her and one of them crossed his arms.

"You lied to the House, Angelina. You told us the girl showed no sign of magical powers."

Ms. Mason fiddled with her necklace. "Natalie has no powers. I don't know what you think you saw..."

The other man held up his hand, silencing her. "Don't lie. We've been watching her for weeks. We know she is powerful. She needs proper training. We came to inform you she will be taken to the 1st nome to begin."

Ms. Mason stood up quickly and a staff appeared in her hand. I recognized it as the same staff Natalie used.

"You will not take my daughter from me! You have no right! Yes, she does need proper training, but not from you!"

The men stood up each summoned their own staffs.

"We know what it best for the girl," Said the one on the right. "You are being selfish. Don't make this harder than it has to be."

Apparently Ms. Mason didn't like that, because she sent a cloud of black smoke hurtling towards the two men. They began coughing, trying to light their own staffs. Ms. Mason ran up the steps, skipping two or three until she reached her daughter, who was oblivious to the trouble brewing downstairs.

"Hi Mommy," Natalie said as her mother grabbed her arm and hoisted her up off the ground.

"Come on, Natalie, we need to leave...now." Natalie looked shocked.

"Again? Mommy, I don't want to!"

"I know, Honey, I know. Just... it's Mommy's work. Now come on, no time to pack." Ms. Mason opened the window and let Natalie out first, all while looking nervously over her shoulder. She filed after her daughter, helped her down the tree, and ran with her, leaving the little blue house behind.

The dream shifted.

Sorry If there are a few typos, I've been really busy.
