Jack watched Hiccup storm up the stairs , as his expression gradually turned from surprise to horror. He immediately ran out the door, only a few people paying close enough attention to watch. He took in a gulp of fresh air, putting him only slightly at ease. He walked around to the side of the building and clenched his eyes and fists shut, letting out a frustrated shout. Punching at the wall seemed like a good idea at first, but now his fist was scraped and bled a little as angry tears clogged his vision. He knew Dash's plan had been dumb, and he knew should have never listened. Jack may not have been the smoothest guy on the planet, but it was pretty obvious Dash had never even acquired a date, now that he thought about it. Hiccup probably thought he was a huge jerk, and Jack didn't really blame him. Usually he wouldn't react so strongly to something, but this was Hiccup, and Hiccup was his world. Now that the outburst was over, guilt and embarrassment were starting to settle into the bottom of his stomach. Leaning forward slightly, he rested his head on the wall, and let the tears roll down his face. Footsteps began to fade into Jack's hearing range, but he didn't bother to move."I know, Pends. I messed up. I don't necessarily need a speech right now."
