So, the big fight scene is finally here.
It goes on until Chapter 14.
I worked my butt off to get this sorted out & acceptable.
So, please be gentle if you have to criticize.
I'm not good with fight scenes x_x
I will again remind you: This is my own version of Naruto.
I use Naruto as more of a reference.
So things WILL be different.

Chapter 11: "I'm not runnin', it's a little different now."
― Going Down by Sick Puppies
Hot breath tickled her neck, forcing Sakura's eyes open. Itachi leaned over her, his thick black hair sliding down over his shoulder as his burning hot hands cupped her cheeks on either side. She tried to look away from his eyes, blazing with passion.
She couldn't make out any features in the room they were in. All she knew was that there was a horny killer on top of her and she didn't particularly hate it.
Itachi bent down and whispered, "Sakura, I love you." just before his lips covered hers and Sakura was lost in blazing white heat.
••••••••
Sakura's eyes jerked open and she sat bolt upright, clutching her thick, furry blanket to her chest. She panted softly, her body trembling slightly. Her gaze roamed the room and met a set of eyes, staring at her creepishly.
Sakura screamed and threw her pillow at the intruder. Deidara yanked the pillow out of the air and tossed it aside.
"What…the hell were you dreaming about!" Deidara demanded.
He wore his gray sleeping shirt which had the Rolling Stones signature logo plastered on it: a pair of plump cherry lips with a large tongue poised to lick someone. His hair hung around his face and stuck up in places slightly, as if he had just woken up from a dead sleep.
"Why are you in my room? And I wasn't dreaming about anything particular. " A blush crept over Sakura's face.
"Itachi!" Deidara moaned, making kissy faces, "Itachi!"
"Jeez, Deidara, keep your fantasies to yourself!" Sakura hissed, shoving another pillow into his face.
"Those weren't mine, hon." He blocked the pillow attack. "That's what you were just doing! Now answer me, what the hell were you dreaming about!?"
She gapped, threw her blankets at him, and stood up quickly. Sakura rushed to exit the room and slammed into a wall of muscle.
"The target has been sighted." Itachi said as Sakura pulled her face away, clutching her injured nose.
Deidara leapt up and dashed out of Sakura's room, in a second he had his robe on and his hair pulled up. Sakura yanked her robe on over her sleeping clothes as Itachi told Deidara to go "greet the guest"- the long-awaited target.
Whoever it was, they were damn good at hide-and-seek.
••••••••
A huge explosion shook the Earth; clouds of smoke billowed up to meet their brethren in the sky. Deidara was famous for his explosives. Sakura's pace increased as she ran towards the action, her boots crunching in the thick piles of snow. As she neared the area of the explosion, Itachi appeared before her and shot Sakura a look. His eyes met hers for only an instant but Sakura could read the message in them: don't move.
Itachi vanished and a few seconds later he returned, Deidara in his arms. Sakura yanked her hair up into a ponytail and immediately began working on Deidara's broken body.
Itachi disappeared back into the dense smoke cloud Deidara had left behind. Sakura focused all her energy on Deidara although she felt sick doing so and would have preferred to strangle him instead. She would have- should have- done it.
If the Akatsuki had known I killed Deidara, they would kill me, she thought. Death seemed blissful. I would die a hero instead of a traitor. Naruto's plea surged forth in her memories and she groaned aloud. Damn him.
Sakura's chakra poured into Deidara. His injuries mainly consisted of severe burns. Sakura produced several containers of a crème made from a medical herb Tsunade had shown her. It healed burns over time but took away pain instantly.
As Sakura applied the thick green crème to the worst of his burns, Deidara's eyes cracked open, "Did I get the bastard?"
Sakura looked away. His one hand, palm facing upward, licked hungrily at the air. Sakura's face scrunched up with disgust but she continued to apply the crème to Deidara's body. Deidara pulled himself into a sitting position and groaned dramatically.
The hair on the back of Sakura's neck stood on end. She yanked out a kunai and quickly spun around in just enough time to meet the enemy's attack. Her gaze fell upon the face of her attacker.
It was a woman. She wore an ugly purple top, which revealed her belly button, a short black skirt, and high boots. She had red untamed hair, glasses, and a disgusting grin. Ah, she's the rude girl from the bar!
She pulled away from Sakura. "So you're the one trying to hurt my Sasuke."
Sakura's jaw dropped. Sasuke. Sasuke. "S-Sasuke…Uchiha?" She stuttered.
The woman rolled her eyes and pushed up her glasses, "The one and only."
With every second Sakura's heart beat, pain spread throughout her body. Sasuke. My Sasuke. With Sakura clearly distracted, the woman lunged. She swung around behind Sakura and held a sharp kunai to Sakura's throat.
The kunai made a small slit in Sakura's throat as the woman dragged it across her skin. "Now, what do you want with him?" she screeched.
Sakura's heartbeat thundered in her ears and drowned out any other sound. Fragments of her memories flashed before her eyes, each memory following a single word that bounced around her skull like a ping-pong ball. Sasuke.
Something surged up from inside of Sakura and took over. Sasuke flew far away from her mind as this "New Sakura" seemed to take over.
Sakura grabbed the kunai with her bare hand, ripped it from the woman's grasp, and turned the sharp point on the woman's own neck, Sakura's blood dripping off of the tip. The woman grunted and kicked at Sakura, who dodged and slammed the kunai into the woman's shoulder.
"Deidara!" Sakura called over her shoulder. "Are we supposed to kill her?"
Deidara's voice dripped with insane laughter as he spoke, "Kill anyone in our way. The only one we want alive is Sasuke."
The woman was struggling to pull the kunai out of her shoulder, bright red blood flowing freely from the wound. Sakura kicked her attacker's stomach hard and wrapped her fingers around the woman's neck. The smoke from Deidara's explosion dissipated and Sakura could clearly see Sasuke and Itachi fighting.
For an instant, her mind froze up again. Sasuke's figure before her filled her eyesight and she marveled at how he had changed.
Sakura jerked her attention back to the woman only to find her gone. Sakura, forgetting about the woman, took off towards the fighting brothers. Deidara, following her closely, hissed and shoved his hands inside of the bags attached to his hips.
Sasuke landed barely ten feet in front of Sakura, his back to her. He was breathing heavily, small clouds of white smoke puffed out of his mouth with each exhale and he had fresh burns all over his pale body.
Deidara smirked and threw out his hands. "Katsu!"
Someone yanked Sakura backwards as two little white sculptures flew towards Sasuke and exploded in mid-air. Sakura looked up at her savior and met...Deidara. She blinked several times and he growled low as he threw her aside, "Check on Itachi, I'll take care of this distasteful guy!"
Sakura nodded and charged through the smoke to where she had last seen Itachi.
If Sakura had been herself, she would have gone against all orders and protected Sasuke. However, the kunoichi who was controlling her body now only did what she had to for her team mates and, right now, that side of her recognized Deidara and Itachi as her teammates.
Sakura's eyes scanned the area, squinting hard to catch any glimpse of the elder Uchiha. She quieted her breathing and listened for the sound of a foot stomping on snow but heard nothing.
Something slammed into her. No, not something- someone.
Sakura somersaulted in the snow before flinging herself up and landing swiftly on her feet. Sakura's side was hit, hard, by something sharp. She caught sight of purple fabric just before the woman vanished within the smoke. She winced with the sudden rush of pain and glanced down to see a kunai protruding from her side, just below her rib cage.
She cursed out loud before yanking the kunai free of her body. Warm blood gushed forth from the wound and Sakura clamped a hand over the opening in her body to stop the bleeding. The pain didn't bother her, it wasn't a lethal wound or even very deep.
A sudden realization washed over Sakura. Can she sense me?
The thick smoke cloud hung in the air around Sakura, obstructing most of her vision, yet this woman was able to see Sakura and land a blow with a weapon. Sensitives could pick up on chakra as easily as Sakura could see into a human's body. Could this woman sense chakra?
Sakura smirked and stood perfectly still, blood oozing from between the fingers over her wound. "What you lack in combat skills you make up for with your sensitivity to chakra."
Sakura's head scrambled for ideas. How could she beat someone who could sense her body when she herself was blinded by all of this damn smoke?
Waiting for the smoke to disappear was out. Loud explosions signaled that Deidara was using his "art" and didn't show any sign of stopping.
Finally, she just decided to wait and when another attack sprung out of the smoke, Sakura grabbed the person and slammed them into the ground with all the strength she had. The person exhaled hard and Sakura noticed that it was the woman from before.
Sakura's fingers whipped out another kunai and she rose the weapon high above her head before plunging the sharp object down, aimed at the woman's neck. However, before the kunai bit into the woman's flesh and tore through muscle and skin, Sakura felt fingers tangle themselves in her hair and yank her body backwards.
Quick to react, Sakura, slammed the kunai she still held though her captor's wrist. They made a small grunt and released her. The woman was gone yet again and so was the person who had grabbed her.
Sakura cursed audibly before resuming her search for Itachi. There was no way to get out of this damn smoke unless Deidara knocked off blowing the place up. The woman could sense her and there was another man helping both her and Sasuke.
Sakura growled low and slammed her fist into the snowy ground. The force shattered the ground and the sudden movements of the Earth, blasted smoke, snow and dust away instantly. Sakura smirked and turned suddenly, lifting her leg at just the right moment so it connected with the woman's stomach.
Sakura jumped on the woman, reluctant to letting her go after having lost her twice already.
"Enough, Sakura."
That voice.
The violent and dangerous kunoichi that had taken over Sakura's body vanished at the sound of that familiar voice. Sakura felt her lip tremble and the energy leak from her body.
Her eyes moved upwards to meet Sasuke's crimson orbs, so much like his brother's. Sakura's gaze lowered, her head bent, and her body slumped. Blue light illuminated the ground. Sakura smiled bitterly as she heard the chirping of the chidori spring to life in her ears. This was her death. I'd rather die by Sasuke's hands anyways.
"You idiot!" An explosion followed Deidara's cry. "Kill that woman and don't resign yourself to death yet!"
Deidara thrust out two more miniature sculptures, which forced Sasuke to break his gaze away from Sakura.
At the sound of Deidara's rousing speech, the kunoichi inside of Sakura flared to life again. Sakura flexed the fingers of her right hand before summoning chakra to them. She twisted her body around and smiled with satisfaction as her first connected with the woman's face with a disgusting snap.
Thick fingers snaked around Sakura's neck from behind. They lifted her off of her feet by her neck and squeezed until any flow of oxygen into her body became impossible. Sakura called her chakra into her feet and launched a heavy blow to the man's torso.
She heard one, two, three ribs crack as her heels slammed into the man's chest. She swung her leg out again, connecting with the femur of his left leg and grinned with triumph as she heard the sound of bone cracking apart. The man finally released her. As soon as her feet hit the ground, she took off running.
She didn't get far however, because a man stepped in her line of travel. This one had whitish hair and purple eyes; he grinned, revealing a mouth full of sharp canine-like teeth- he looked utterly creepy. Sakura backed up as he pulled his enormous sword from its sheath on his back and swung it out in an arc in front of himself.
That's Zabuza's sword. Sakura noted with slight surprise.
"You didn't invite senpai, how disappointing." the white-haired man's face twisted in a pout.
A large beefy man limped up to stand beside the white-haired man, blood dripping freely from a wound in his wrist. From his injuries, Sakura could tell he was the one who had tried to strangle her a few moments ago and also the one who had grabbed her hair.
Sakura clenched her teeth and admitted to herself that she wouldn't be able to kill them both. The orange-haired man was giving off extreme rage, the likes of which she had never felt before, and the white-haired man reminded her of Kisame, who, even though she hated to admit, was immensely powerful and terrifying.
Laughter erupted behind the white-haired man. The laughter even managed to drown out the eardrum-shattering boom of Deidara's art. Kisame's face hovered above and behind the white-haired man, "Suigetsu, what a nice sword. Although it's no match for Samehada."
Sakura smiled unwillingly and took the opportunity Kisame's arrival had presented to dash away from the enemies. She would let Kisame and his Samehada take over this battle.
Stumbling away from Kisame's prey, Sakura caught sight of a familiar shape. Itachi disappeared into a strange building with a tiered cake-like structure. Sakura chased him down, slipping inside of the dark belly of the building. She found Itachi easily, poised in a blocky stone chair. She jogged towards him, her eyes already roaming his body for any fatal injuries. He didn't seem to have even a scratch on him. Itachi's eyes met hers.
"A-are you hurt?" Sakura questioned.
"No." he coughed into his hand.
Sakura repeated her question and Itachi's response was several hard coughs. Sakura removed Itachi's hand from his mouth and found blood on the palm of his pale hand. She removed his Akatsuki robe before sliding her hands under Itachi's mesh shirt and pressing her palms against the bare cold skin of his chest.
She closed her eyes and blocked out all other sounds as her chakra leaked into Itachi's body and allowed her to see inside of him. She found that Itachi's organs were bleeding without an obvious cause. Her eyes opened and without a single explanation, even to herself, Sakura clapped her palms over Itachi's eyes. She closed her own eyes again, letting her chakra paint a picture of Itachi's mysterious eyes inside of her head.
Itachi's eyes were sending slight chakra charges down the optic nerve. Sakura followed the chakra spurts and realized that Itachi's own chakra was corroding the lining of his organs and causing them bleed. How can I fix this? Why is Itachi's chakra causing such a negative reaction in his body?
Sakura racked her brain, trying to find a way to stop the chakra. Before she could come up with a conclusion, Itachi pulled her closer to him just as a kunai flew through the air, aiming for where her head would have been. Quicker than she had ever been able to move before, Sakura stood and snatched the kunai out of the air, pointing it in the direction it had come from.
"Don't move Itachi." Sakura ordered.
She didn't think he'd listen but it was worth a shot.
The woman in the purple shirt lunged at her and Sakura slammed the kunai straight down into the woman's foot. The woman crouched down to clutch at her injured foot and Sakura took her opportunity. She placed her hands on both of the woman's shoulders and arched her body up and over the woman, her foot swinging out to kick Sasuke in the head.
Sasuke swatted away her leg, as if Sakura were just an annoying fly buzzing around his head. His deadly eyes slid over to his brother's face and Sasuke watched him intently. Sakura pivoted her body so she landed correctly on both feet and took a few seconds to examine the battleground just outside of the door. She expected to see another member of Sasuke's new team ready to pounce on her.
Her breath caught in her throat as she spotted another familiar face in the midst of the fighting. She saw Tobi taking care of the orange-haired man, giggling like a school girl as the man's beefy fists swung and missed.
Kisame seemed to be enjoying himself just as much as he took on the white-haired man, Suigetsu.
The woman's voice snapped Sakura back to the fighting going on right before her. "Sasuke, let me kill her." The woman hissed, clutching the kunai covered in her own blood.
"Shut up, Karin." Sasuke answered.
"B-but-!" The woman, Karin, argued.
"I'll see to her myself. You just keep her occupied while I kill off my brother." Sasuke said, already stepping toward Itachi.
Sakura moved without thought, placing herself between the boy- now man- she idolized, and his target. Sasuke's face remained calm and deadly, not even a shadow of emotion passed over his stoic face. "So you've turned to the Akatsuki now, Sakura? Did you thirst for more power as well?"
Under his gaze, Sakura felt her knees buckle but she forced out her words with as much venom as she could produce, "I have my reasons- good reasons. I'm not like you."
Sasuke's arm twitched the slightest and Sakura's sharp eyes followed the movement, intent on protecting Itachi. No matter how many times Sakura tried to remind herself of who Itachi was, the kunoichi in her just ended up easily kicking aside those thoughts.
Sasuke smirked, "I remember the night you said you loved me, you begged me to stay with you." Sasuke held out his hand to Sakura, a hand drenched in blood. His own or someone else's- Sakura couldn't tell.
If Sakura was the same she had been a few years ago, she would have grabbed that hand and suffered the consequences. However, still in kunoichi mode, Sakura could detect the lie in Sasuke's voice. Even the normal Sakura couldn't grip any similarities between the man before her and the boy she had once loved.
That hand he held towards her would lead to her death and while the girl who loved him screamed to die by his hands, the kunoichi fighting for life plunged the sharp metal through Sasuke's hand, the point sliding through Sasuke's skin like tissue paper.
He didn't even wince. He ripped the weapon out of his hand and threw it to the ground. "Move, Sakura."
"Never." The kunoichi that had invaded Sakura's body seethed at the thought of turning over Itachi to his brother.
"Then die." the chirping of the chidori resounded around the dark room and blue light erupted from Sasuke's extended hand.
Can you guys tell I hate Karin? -Anii
